Life has taught me that falling in love means selflessness..

......that God works in mysterious ways, wonders to perform..

..that  trusting God and urself, makes it easy to trust others..

.....that i shld live one day at time..

No one is ignoring that passage. what's your point. I'm guessing you're Catholic! I stand to be corrected.
err..yea u r right....however,i aint writing this as a debate or to analyse beliefs..Just wanna know y pastors think they can handle being a full-time husband n being a full-time bearer of God's words.

I've never interviewed a pastor so i assume someone in the forum wld know y.

I reckon that being a husband is a serious vocation itself ( as St. Paul's passage suggested)

(I hope no one wld ask me "what d point is"arghhhhhhhh Grin Grin Grin)

I wld hv love to post this on the "Religion forum" but cldnt...then i realised that it's more of an everyday issue as well..

For those who hv never read it, it says:

"I would like to see you free from all worry.
An unmarried man can devote himself to the Lord's affairs, all he need worry about is pleasing the Lord;
but a married man has to please his wife: he is torn two ways.
In the same way an unmarried woman, like a young girl, can devote herself to the Lord's affairs;
all she need worry about is being holy in body and spirit.
The married woman, on the other hand, has to worry about the world's affairs and devote herself to pleasing her husband.
I say this only to help you, not to put a halter round your necks, but simply to make sure that everything is as it should be,
and that you give your undivided attention to the Lord
."

(1st letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians 7:32-35- Jerusalem Bible version)

Some might say "it's meant as a guide"...well correct but he also said "to make sure everything is as it should be and that you give you undivided attention to the Lord"...

So y do our "modern-day" pastors think they are "smarter" than St. Paul?....i just dont get it...

if i got twins..i will giv dem identical names..eg boy and girl...philip/philippa, jake/jade...or if both girls...jade/jada...but i think me n my hubby will hav 2 decide on dat one..we both formed d baby..so we shld both name d child Smiley
I also love the name "Philip and Philippa" for a set of twins...

Certaining the child's name will come from both parents ..if not the whole extended family..lol well just want to know what name you WOULD love to call ur child...

19  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / tHe weirdest name you've evre heard..... on: 9-12-2008 06:49 PM
Hmm..I know Nigerians like "trying out" names and i cannt help but giggle at some names..such as
..Melchisedech..(i know it's a biblical name but y complicate the poor kid's life)...

..1st born .."TiJesus" meaning Jesus's ...2nd born, "TiOluwa" meaning God's....poor kids.. a friend used to say will they then name the 3rd "TiEsu" meaning the devil's? hahaha...nice kids tho'

So let's see how many weird names there are in Nigeria...xxx
