US is the most irrationally gun-violent country imaginable so far as developed countries are concerned. A lot of crazy dysfunctional psychos is in US.it's the fact that people with poor mental health aren't receiving the proper care they need and that when they find access to a weapon, something just clicks in their head and they go and start massacres,and all of the mass killers are young men under age 25.There are two things needed in America before buying a gun must be psychologically tested and please bring back capital punishment.Outlawing guns does nothing but testing those for possible disorders might catch someone who for some reason wants a gun to hurt others.Capital punishment of death not life imprisonment might just make some of these people think twice.The worst is the tragic killing of the defenseless children is evil,Lord have mercy.

| | I wish to express my profound gratitude to GOD for ensuring that the old woman is alive today.The Minister did not deserve this abduction of her mother,Apart from this ugly incident,many people may not have known that the father is the traditional ruler of her village and her mother a professor.This is a family that has been living well without looting.They are not noise makers and all those dubious Nigerians who have made their money illegally.they are learned worked and retired to their village,Why must people harass them.hope that Jonathan and his security agencies will declare war on kidnapping in Nigeria.wait did the govt paid ramsome? | | | | |

You don't have any justification for calling David Mark a fool, at-least not in this case because he has not said anything wrong by demanding that the kidnappers release the old woman or condemning the act as a whole..... Whether you accept it or not the criminal acts of few Nigerians have brought untold discrimination rejection to several innocent Nigerians in diaspora and that is what David Mark was saying.... Nobody wants to have anything to with Nigerians outside the shore of that country not necessarily because the leaders are bad but because the citizens as seem as criminals......Kidnapping and other crimes that are rampant in Nigeria are bad and must be condemned...... It's true that the leadership is bad which is quite unfortunate but then if you are conversant with what is happening around the world today you will agree with me that several other countries have problems of bad leadership too but their citizens don't resort to crime as a way of life as it's in Nigeria rather they protest against bad leadership and policies...... Kidnapping certainly is not one of the ways to protest against bad leaderships.

Am never in support of negotiating/payment of ransom to kidnappers and Boko Haram or any group. Paying ransom of whatever amount would promote and encourage this crime. Once we turn our nation into a ransom paying nation, with lots of youth out of job, Nigeria would be a very dangerous place to live, life would no longer be save for anyone, people would be living in fear.How long will all these menaces continues,Boko raham and kidnappers.its not fair to kidnap the old woman,lets respect old age.This woman have contributed her quota to the growth of the economy and retired.A lot of people have benefited from her wealth of knowledge and excelled in life. Let’s not judge her with whatever grievance whoever have against Ngozi.most commentators on this event had blamed hunger in the land with its roots in actions of the government of which Ngozi is a principal player.Nigeria is turning into a country that is forced to negotiate with criminals and groups of hoodlums that hold the government to ransom.they should remember if ransom is paid ,they are legalizing criminal act.

Shame on all you people participating in this senseless argument,if the youths are the future of the country and most of the youths have such dense reasoning 51yrs after independence , despite the national integration from inter tribal marriages , businesses and schooling.one is bound to understand and see reasons why we have suffered so much set back as a nation .I believe everyone with a comment is educated and supposedly enlightened .if so , how do we rational reasoning along tribal and geographical lines .

I see division in the ranks of Boko Haram. I also see some politicians hiding under the disguise of Boko Haram to negotiate with FG.Also this call for dialogue by Boko-Haram is an indication that the army is really dealing with their foot soldiers. Only time will tell.Those that want to pull down this administration by sponsoring Boko-Haram have definitely failed With all these happening.Any dialogue will spell doom to this regime and more militia groups will spring up requesting for their own share of the national cake.

This is such a terrible thing.The sad fact is that of all unlawful killings of females the majority is committed by an ex or current partner, often after many years of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is a serious issue in society as it often leads to serious physical and segxwal assaults,not to mention physiological harm. All police forces across the world should work to recognize the risks posed by domestic abuse and put in place policies for early intervention to prevent things escalating to this point . R.I. P .

You guys should kindly stop insulting ourselves whatever tribe,ethnics we are from,can you imagine we ought to use this platform to make useful contributions to the government of the day instead some people are attacking themselves ,it irritates me the way you guys are bringing tribal issue into this matter. Can we not come together and reason? Can we not condemn crime and not condemn tribe? Please let us leave tribal sentiments behind us and call a spade a spade. Irrespective of where these man come from, he is killer.The comments I read here everyday makes me ponder, are we not the future leaders. Let us comment on issues sensibly and be reasonable.

The truth is that northerners hold the key to BH problem ,Southerners open yours widely to prevent this sect called boko haram from gaining entrance into the region .the president of the republic of the federal government of Nigeria and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. This is the naked ambition not of mad men but a well organized, trained and ideologically prepared militarized army of zealots who have declared and are waging an armed insurrection, ready to force a civil war with their local and foreign supporters,financiers, armorers and international network of 21st century terrorism.Let anyone point out a prominent northern Muslim who is not among the sponsors of the SATANIC group called boko haram.Rather than condemn the group, they attribute their evil deed to the poverty in the north as if poverty is only prevalent in the north.we can't continue this way. Nigeria need to break.The marriage between the south and the north has failed and it needs to be desolved.we should not fold our hands and allow northerners to continue to kill southerners.See what is happening in kogi,a sister state to south west.division is the best option,America predict by the year 2015 but the way am seeing things now it will less than 2015.

Mr president is not advisable to reply to terrorist,Why wont they give him condition when he has been keeping bh in his govt and continue to plead with them.In fact BH sponsors are making more reasons for Nigeria to go separate ways. Is this not very apparent that the powerful northern elites are speaking with Boko Haram voice.This govt is a joke,otherwise where was he when the gov of CBN Mallam Sanusi Sanusi and other prominent Northerners came to the USA to plead that BH should not be listed as a terrorist group,Mr.President will not say he was not aware.I think the best for Nigeria now is to split into compatible,governable regions or zones. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves. Nigeria can no longer adhere together or forge ahead as one indivisible entity.If we split, we can better relate as brother African neighbors,and compete favorably than stay together under British forced marriage and slaughter one another while other countries are advancing technologically,The earlier GEJ wakes up the better for all of us southerners because his dining with these devils is not only considered a sale out. What kind of commander in Chief of all armed forces is this,Nigeria is not a religion state,it is the federal republic.and Your looking for dialogue,GEJ shoud learn to call a spade a spade and not an agricultural tool.Bokoharam group is a terrorist group.Declare them ,then solution to their incessant attack will come.let the whole world know that they are terrorist and then take security steps against them.This malevolent sect does not require any dialogue; but a fire-for-fire approach with the collaborative assistance from the international communities like the US & others that are ready to support the government to fight the Boko Haram sect.

Propaganda,last time a suicide bomber targeted Emir in maiduguri but failed, today again a bomber targeted Emir but failed even at close range.either the Boko Haram that kills Christians is different from the one attacking the muslim clerics, or the muslims have the pre-information that the attack would occur,otherwise,all these things are arrangements to make Christians think Boko Haram also attack mosques too, if the suicide bomber got that close to the emir, how come he did not hurt him but when they want to attack churches, most of the explosions takes place outside the churches but we know the impact it has on the church structure, they should stop trying to deceive us,By the way, what is a nurse doing around them? are they expecting injuries nonsense .

Look at the number of students sitting for WAEC, NECO etc every year. Check out the number for JAMB and Post UTME. Again look at the percentages that make it to College of Education, Polytechnics and University. Then look at the graduates of various schools and how many can support themselves or get jobs anywhere? You will agree with me that we can continue from now to eternity cutting the branches, the roots will support another sprouting. Even though it highly desirable, getting rid of prostitution will continue to be a herculean task. You cannot get an Utopian society in the midst of filth.creating more jobs and plausible rehabilitation and integration will solve the problem of prostitution not senseless and indiscriminate arrests. | | | | |
