Where does petroleum exist in abundance in your so-called Biafra land? I think you are as rotten as your Boko Haram counterparts. Anuofia!

This was a declaration of a complete act of war by Boko Haram. I think the existence of the country Nigeria is at a peril. It's unbelievably disheartening to see that this assault lasted for about half an hour and there was no re-enforcement sent by the Nigerian Armed Forces. And there wasn't even a helicopter in the sky, while our leaders are busy shopping for private jets and whatnots. This is really pathetic.  I fear for the future of Nigeria.

I believe Gov. Rotimi Amaechi is now speaking out against the decadence and corruption in our country simply because he has fallen out with some of his fellow criminal-minded politicians.
Nevertheless, i do applaud and laud the man's courage and defiance. I think we need more disgruntled politicians, pastors and  even the masses to help kick start the much needed revolution in Nigeria.

I always like to blame the rotten state of affairs in the country on the toothless and foolishly brave youths we have. If we must live to experience the change we all crave for, the better days we constantly wish and pray for ; then it's only imperative for us(The youth) to rise up to the occasion. Let's seize power from these old and crookedly evil-driven  politicians who are supposed to be the ones we go to for wise counsel. It's time for us to stand for truth, positivity, progress and be ready to put our very lives on the line for what we believe in.

This is just another perfect example of how deep ignorance coupled with avarice have eaten into the black society. It's abundantly clear that a large chunk of the Nigerian youth have lost every sense of responsibility and self pride. Stupidly disgraceful and degrading act like this is not by any means justifiable from whichever way we choose to look at it. I know everybody wants money in other to afford some sort of comfort in life, but there are just somethings in life, that are simply beyond compromise, and this is one of those things.

I voted Asa because most of her songs carry a message. I would have loved to share my ballot with Asa and Chidinma the Kedike crooner because she is highly talented as well.

Your sickening comment shows that you have no iota of value for human life. I just pray Our Father on high will touch the hearts of the Nigerian youths, cos if we should continue this way for another decade or so, i bet you by then we would've gotten to the point of no redemption.  Cry Cry Cry Cry

Politics could be a very lucrative business when the greater part masses treat national issues with non-chalance. A 4billion Naira mansion for the First Lady? I think that is preposterously outrageous. Nigerians have to come out in large numbers to protect against this madness. Anyone in any of the governmental offices should consider his/herself as the people's servant, and shouldn't feel privileged to amass the nation's wealth to his/her family.

I think any true fan of the super eagles in his/her right senses will support the points made by 'Drone' regardless of where he/she is from in Nigeria. Keshi's and Amokachi's running of the national team is suspicious. I haven't seen any true talent they've introduced into the team so far. When I watch the super eagles play these days, I'm amazed at how poor the local players that are paraded play that I end up I asking myself if these are truly the best local local players we have in a country of over 167 million people. It's high time Africans started thinking and taking the concept of pan-africanism seriously. The fact that Martins is currently dating a Ghanaian who is an African just like himself shouldn't cause anybody to raise an eyebrow. Nigerian gals are beautiful, so is Jamaican gals, Haitian gals, Ghanaian gals, Ivorian gals, South African gals, Zimbabwean gals, etc. As matter of fact, in my opinion as long as you're black and proud about it you're beautiful regardless of where you're from.

I think one major problem of Nigerians is that we are too scared to openly give voice to our frustrations, opinions, thoughts, etc. A people without a voice die in oppression. Osaze did nothing wrong to have made known his grievances about the way he's been treated in the past. I followed the 2010 WC qualifiers closely, and it was shocking to see Amodu get axed after him and the players worked so hard to qualify the nation for the WC in South Africa. It was really annoying to see Osaze and some of our best players warming the bench in South Africa. How do we justify the wrongful and unfair treatment these people have endured in silence for so long. Osaze is arguably one of the most dedicated and patriotic player that's ever donned the Nigerian Jersey. I think we as a reasonable and intelligent people should desist from supporting wrongfulness. This lad has given so much to Nigeria to be treated this way. Shola Amoebi who has been invited shunned Naija when he was at his prime. He claimed then that his heart was with the English team, and now I can't help but wonder what has made him change his mind at his old age.

This is definitely one of the most beautifully made conscious music ever made in Nigeria. I must confess that the lyrics touched my heart and aroused my numb and strayed mind back to consciousness, and the sweet melodies and instrumentals strengthen my dwindling hope to keep believing and fighting for Nigeria until she attains her true greatness.
19  Forum / Politics / Re: Haiti Joins The African Union (AU) on: 13-11-2012 03:08 PM
If this is true, i must say it's a very good tidings because it's about time all our brothers and sisters that are scattered all around the world started identifying with the motherland. I hope every other black nation in the diaspora follow suit.

However, i think the A.U needs to be redefined, because it absolutely unacceptable for me for a vast political body like the African Union to have invaders, aliens and foreigners under the same umbrella. Historically, all the arabs descendants nations on the northern part of Africa today are there through invasion and conquest. Automatically, these arabs that will only claim to be Africans whenever it please them are not one of us and can't be part of our organisations. How many black nations can you find in the Arab League or in the European Union? This is the important question we Africans have failed to ask ourselves. You have the likes of Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, etc, as members of the Arab League simply because they are Arabs and not Africans.

I so believe in Africa and her infinite potentials as much as i believe in God. But sadly, our minds have been programmed not to believe in ourselves anymore. So, we as a people need a mental detox and a spiritual baptism so we can be great again like our great ancestors.

Some fake and stupid supporters of the Super Eagles that branded the Nigerian national team as '' The Super Chickens'' should be ashamed at the height of their foolishness. Nigeria is the only country on the planet where the people are ready to support some foreign clubs that don't give a hoot about them with whatever is left of their pride. If any of you can open your dirty traps and say Gunners 4 life!  Blues 4 life, United 4 life, etc. And can't say Eagles 4 life! Then there's absolutely something wrong with our minds. If there is any football that deserves our unconditional love and support, it should a team that represents the pride of your motherland. I think most football-loving Nigerians are unpatriotic that's why they criticise their own unfairly whenever The Eagles fail to perform to expectations. We tend to forget so quickly that in life nothing stays constant. Losing is part of every sport. And every team do have their good days and bad days. I have never heard the Brazilians tarnish the image of the Samba Kings or the Egyptians rubbish the image of The Pharaohs. Why is ours always different? Let's learn to start loving  and appreciate what we have, The Super Eagles is all we have, let's channel all our love and support that we have for those foreign teams into our national teams where are pride lies.

Only those seeking for wisdom heeds to the words of the sages of our time. But he that disregards words of sound knowledge and wisdom remains forever lost.
