President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has reshuffled his cabinet and drop nine ministers.

Among the ministers relieved of their post are Ruqayat Rufai , Education Minister); Zainab Kunchi, Minister of Power; Buka Tijiani, Minister of Agriculture; Shamsudeen Usman, Minister of National Planning.

Others are Ita Okon, Minister for Science and Technology; Olugbenga Ashiru, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ama Pepple, Minister for Land and Hadiza Mailafia, Minister of Environment.

President Jonathan has long been expected to rejig his lackluster cabinet which has largely failed to deliver services to the Nigerian people.

The sack of the ministers was announced by the Minister for Environment, Mailafia while speaking to state house correspondents after the federal Executive Council meeting at the Aso Rock villa today.

A 19-year old fan ran into the pitch during the Real Madrid Vs Chelsea match in the 67th minute to embrace Cristiano Ronaldo, only to be arrested by the police and jailed for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Pastor Alao Shobowale aged 42 appeared before Ebute Meta Magistrate, Lagos, for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl.

The prosecutor, R. Odigie, said that the offences were committed on December 15, 2012 at about 10 p.m. at the defendant’s residence. Mr. Odigie said that the girl lived with her aunty in the same compound as the defendant.

The girl’s aunt noticed her absence from her room at about 9:30 p.m. and began searching the compound by calling her name but with no response.

“She went to the toilet, which is detached from the building, and discovered the girl and the defendant in it,” Mr. Odigie said.

“The accused lured her from the common passage we share in front of our apartment to the toilet while my wife, I and our three children were inside.” Magistrate Oyindamola said the matter would be referred to the family court “in the interest of justice.”

N17.6bn Relief Funds were released in 2012 for flood victims. Some victims in Adamawa laid hands on N450 Each.

In some states, the N17.6billion flood relief funds released by the federal government to bring succour to the victims, who had been sheltered in camps, has ended up in the private pockets of officials of committees and emergency outfits vested with the responsibility of managing their states’ share of the funds.

Some of these victims got between N450 and N3,000 compensation for losing their houses and farmlands to the floods.

It is also a shock that collation of the data of the victims of the disaster is still ongoing, three months after the President Goodluck Jonathan administration released the relief funds on October 9, 2012.

Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State kidneys are in bad condition and he’s undergoing regular dialyses.

Governor Imoke has been out of Nigeria for several weeks after he disclosed that he needed to take time off to address a health condition.

However, Mr. Imoke did not reveal that his health problem has to do with his kidneys and is undergoing kidney transplant.

A young pastor have been admitted in a hospital in Kakamega after he was badly injured by an angry husband who caught him red handed sleeping with his wife.

The two had come from an evening service from the church when the woman, who is the youth leader in the church, invited the pastor to her house for a cup of tea.

The husband came home on that night raging with fury and ready to devour whomever he found in his house, even if it was his blood brother.
He arrived at around 11pm and noted that the front door was locked. Luckily, he had spare keys for the back door.
As he was getting into the house, the two sensed danger and the preacher ran out through the front door and sprinted to his house, which is in the neighbourhood, half Nood.

The angry man did not give up. He followed the preacher into his house and fished him out with the help of his brothers.
“When we caught him, he couldn’t say anything in his defense as even his wife was still crying at the mistreatment and shame he had exposed her to,” one of the brothers said.

The pastor, a father of two’s silence made the brothers beat him senseless with kicks, bows and sticks.

“This is not the first time he has been caught with someone’s wife. He is used to bedding many who attend his church,” one eyewitness said.
The preacher was rushed to Mbale District Hospital, where the doctors referred him to another hospital in Kakamega town where he is still recuperating.

The military Joint Task force (JTF) in Borno state has a reward of N290 million for anybody with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the Boko Haram’s leader, Abubakar Shekau; 14 sect commanders in connection with terrorists activities in the North East zone of Nigeria.
The wanted lists is contained in a statement signed by the spokesman of the JTF in Borno State; Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa and made available to news men in Maiduguri the Borno state capital.

The JTF placed a bounty of N50 million on the head of Mr Shekau and N10 million each for the 14 commanders.
The JTF further said volunteers with useful information will be given adequate protection, as their information will be treated with utmost confidentiality. The statement said anyone with information should forward such to the following telephone numbers: 09064174066, 08154429345 and 070855464012.

The Boko Haram commanders on the JTF wanted list are:

Son of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) national leader and the Aare Ago of Egbaland, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oluwaseyi, was among the 1,552 Law School students that were not called to bar yesterday, Tuesday, November 19, 2012 after they failed their examinations.

Seyi, as he is fondly called, had earlier failed his Bar Part 1 examination but had to repeat the exam. He was admitted at the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island.

Meanwhile, the former Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the daughter of former Ekiti State governor, Segun Oni, Yemisi, were among the 3,896 that were called to the Nigerian Bar by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mariam Aloma Muhktar yesterday. The call bar ceremony was held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

About 5,449 students had sat for the August final examination out of which nine passed with First Class, 195 had Second Class Upper, 900 had Second Class Lower and 2,783 had Pass. The 1,552 that reportedly failed the examination would therefore re-sit the examination.
