2261 Forum / The Buzz Central / Toyin Aimaku's Ex-Fiancée Marries Eight Months Pregnant Girlfriend on: 10-07-2012 04:50 PM
There are some questions that urgently require answers. On friday 6th of July 2012, Kunle Fatai Soyombo former fiancée of popular actress Toyin Aimaku married his eight months pregnant Fiancée. if one look into this marital issue clinically, you will agree with me that the estranged lovers were just playing chess game with their marriage as none of them was ready or do we say committed in the marriage.

Kunle, it has just been revealed that barely five months of her separation with Toyin, she got married to an eight months old pregnant woman.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjEmmLCixuU

This case has now become unbecoming as there are series of allegations from both parties. Kunle who separated from Toyin Aimaku in March granted interviews stating that he ended the relationship because of her infidelity, and continued by saying he never during the course of their relationship cheated on her.

How then did the pregnancy of his fiancée come about?

Yet Kunle went around telling whoever cared to listen that he ended the relationship because Toyin was unfaithful.Toyin refused to make any noise about the incident, and decided to leave it all to God and let sleeping dogs lie. She has since moved on with her life,’ the online report stated.

2267 Forum / The Buzz Central / Singles Club: List Of Ghanaian Actresses That Are Still Single on: 9-07-2012 04:26 PM
While some Ghallywood actresses such as Jackie Appiah, Luckie Lawson, Selassie Ibrahim, Akorfa Ejieni-Asiedu, Kasoum Sinare-Baffoe and Juliet Ibrahim-Sarfo have seen the importance of marriage and the making of babies, there are many of these eligible beauty queens who have ignored this union.

Going through the list of eligible unmarried women in our movie industry, there is no doubt that the list will be endless. Flex newspaper takes a cursory look at some of the ladies who are expected to walk down the aisle very soon.

Nadia Buari:
This light-skinned lady is unarguably one of the best screen goddess Ghana has ever produced but her relationship with men has always been with issues. In 2009, Nadia hooked up with Chelsea midfield dynamo, Michael Essien but things went sour after what could have led to a marriage ended just after a year. She has been linked with so many renowned men including Marseilles Andre Ayew. Recently Nadia was tagged a husband snatcher by a Nigerian lady for allegedly flirting with her husband. The question is: when will this beau tie the knot with few months to hit the thirty years mark. Fans are watching sis.

Yvonne Okoro: another fantastic actress who burst onto the movie scene four years ago. One can’t really pinpoint any man this woman has dated but she is alleged to bed going the ‘corporate way’. Okoro has been connected with some big guns in the political fraternity but none of this has been confirmed yet. This reporter has seen on a number of occasions Yvonne and actor Majid Michel having a ‘cool’ time together. They seem to like each other but is there something going on? Miss when do we see you with ‘Mr. right’?

Yvonne Nelson: fans of this high heel shoe lover will never forgive me if her name is excluded from the list. Miss Nelson and madam Okoro could be placed in the same category as she has so many times been linked with ‘top tycoons’ in the corporate world. Hardly would one spot Yvonne with a man. She is mostly crowded around ladies anytime she is spotted. We do not want to link her to something she might not be although she was known to be a tomboy back in her school days at Aggrey Senior High. The long legged actress was sometime back linked with movie director Frank Rajah Arase but both have denied director Frank Rajah Arase but both have denied such allegations. We will keep our fingers crossed as the year 2013 could be the year for our sister.

Martha Ankomah: I choose to call her the ‘vim mama’ as she is on record to be the only actress to have exposed her well-formed Bosom in a movie. Martha comes as a very cool and collected lady but her association with opposite sex is not much known. She was one time linked with the chief executive officer of heroes’ productions Kwame Boadu who is based in the United States of America. We hope next year will bring some joy into the life of our sister as far as marriage is concerned.

Zynell Zuh: having been tagged a sex symbol in the movie industry; Zynell enters the race as a very modest person. She has not been associated with men except a supposed stint with movie director Pascal Amanfo but both have denied entirely. She is known to have dated some old papas in the past though but can a very young handsome guy pull this beauty queen to the alter?

Nana Akua: this fast rising actress could also be suffering from the same syndrome just like the others and her love life is much unknown. Hardly will one spot Akua with a man but allegations have it that, she is dating a former minister in the New Patriotic Party. We will surely fish out that name very soon.

Roselyn Ngissah: this ‘fatso’ sexy mama is most at times spotted with a guy by name Nii who handles her hand bag. Although Roselyn has not been linked with any guy yet, yours truly will find the man behind her happiness very soon.

Helen Asante: she might probably go down as the tinniest amongst her peers in the industry but that did not deter the talented thespian from achieving her goals. Helen was rumored to have dated boxer Joshua Clottey but ended after series of arguments and fights. She was once connected to Liberian actor Eddie Watson but when asked, she debunked it. May be, next year brings a joy of a love life to ‘tinny winny’.

Lydia Forson: she enters with a different reputation as this daughter of a pastor was rumored to be dating Kwame Sarpong of YFM after they allegedly fell for each other on the set of Perfect Picture in 2009. Again, the plus-sized beauty is believed to be dating a Nigerian movie director who lives in Lagos. Can her pastor father chant some serious prayers that will see her lovely daughter walking down the aisle very soon?

Clara Zita-Galega: the Cameroonian born lady who stormed the movie industry a year ago is alleged to be flirting with a certain white man in the country. Although no one has spotted the lovebirds yet, she seems to be very happy and wearing infectious smiles anytime she is seen. Clara, your fans are waiting impatiently for the wedding bells.

Nikki Samonas: her love sessions with fellow actor Ekow Smith Asante came to an abrupt end last year and ever since, less has been known about the love life of this ‘molato’ babe. Nikki was some time ago rumored to be dating Nollywood hunk Jim Iyke. Madam, your fans are calling for a ring on that special finger.

Kafui Danku: our lady from the Volta Region has heavily been linked to a rich white man who showers her with big ‘luchy’ always. She was once linked with actor Majid but reports reaching Flex newspaper suggest the pair is nothing more than friends. Are we going to see “Mr. Whiteman” saying, “yes I do” come next year?

A 14 year old Bikita girl stunned the court has she said she willingly marry a 15 year old boy. The family when asked said they gave her out with the purpose of appeasing the avenging spirit as soon as their daughter marry the young boy.

The family of the girl was said to have agreed to the family of the 15 year old husband even before they were born. The two families had a ritual ceremony over which the girl was handed over to a 15 year old who is doing his form three at Gwindingwi High School.

They were to be charged with pledging a female child under the Criminal Codification Act section 94 chapter 9-23 which stipulates that no one is allowed to hand over a female child under the age of 18 to appease avenging spirits or to settle debts.

When contacted for comment the children's rights organisation said it was an abuse of the children's rights to force them into marriage.

"This is one of worst form of abuse of children's rights. We are going to take action and protect the girl. We want to see her going back school again; even the boy has the right to continue with his education without any interruption. He is likely to be disturbed as his schoolmates will laugh at him."

A member of Jordan’s parliament pulled a gun on one of his critics during a heated debate on live TV, prompting the program host to desperately try to separate the two men.

The MP was identified as Mohammed Shawabka, and according to The Times of Israel he was discussing Jordan’s policies toward Syria. As the verbal disagreement escalated, Shawabka reached down to toss a shoe at his critic. He then grabbed a silver gun from his waistband.

This isn’t the first time this year that an MP has been caught on tape brawling. In January, an Israeli lawmaker tossed water on a colleague during a routine debate. In May, dozens of Ukrainian MPs took part in a mass fight during a parliament session.

Aramoko-Ekiti in the Ekiti West Local Government Area, Ekiti State was a theatre of disaster Thursday [July 5] morning when a mother of four was beheaded on the farm in the town.

Mrs. Bose Edijana Lucky was discovered murdered on the footpath which leads to the farm of her husband, Mr. Nnaefenwa Lucky, around 9:3am. The incident was believed to have happened when the woman was taking food to her husband who was working on the farm.

Chief Samuel Okorefe, the chairman, Urhobo Community in Aramoko-Ekiti, told newsmen at his residence at the Amututu area of the town that he was contacted on the phone that a serious incident had happened which forced him to come home.

He explained that the victim was said to have gone to the market in the morning to buy condiments to prepare soup and after she had cooked food, she headed for her husband’s farm to give him food.

Shortly after Bose had gone to the farm, her husband was said to have come to town calling for help, informing other Urhobo natives that his wife had been beheaded by some unknown people suspected to be ritualists.

The community leader with other elders went directly to the palace of Alara of Aramoko, Oba Olu Adeyemi, and reported the matter.

The cops were shocked to discover that the head, neck and arms had been cut off. The husband was taken to the police station where he made a statement.

2278 Forum / The Buzz Central / My Relationship With Beautiful & Powerful Women Gave Me Fame - Sammie Okposo on: 7-07-2012 01:04 PM
In a recent chat, he shares a little of the pains and gains he got in the course of dating beautiful and powerful woman.

You were quite notorious with the women, why was that and what did they see in you?

Quote
Unfortunately for me, all the women I had relationships with, were very popular and powerful women way ahead of me in the entertainment industry. I once dated a Miss Nigeria, a very popular actress and a few others. What made me popular was like a mystery. When people wanted to know who I was and how I got to date those women, they started digging and that was how I became relevant. It was not the awards I received that brought me fame, it was the ladies I was connected to.

Was it something you planned or was it deliberate?

Quote
No, it was not planned. My band was jamming at Pintos then and the owner Mr Onabolu was one of the organizers of the Miss Nigeria pageant then. As part of the package, the winner of the Miss Nigeria was scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Pintos which was his joint. She had a fantastic voice and someone mentioned she should try singing with my band and that was how we met. We just struck a chord, got very friendly and that was where it started from.

Your affairs with women made you notorious and you say it also helped you build your career, right?

Quote
Of course it did. Like I said, everything works together for good. I tell people that in the midst of all the publicity be it negative and positive, it would eventually make your name known but you have to be able to balance the situation because sometimes, you might be at the wrong place at the wrong time, sometimes you can be misrepresented and sometimes it could be your own doing.

The kind of fame you got at that point, didn’t worry you?

Quote
I came from a good Christian home and my parents were not happy hearing those things back home in Delta. Most of the time they get filtered information from here. People tell them all sort of stories and they were all amplified.

Quote
My family was a very quiet and happy one. I brought my surname out. They were very unhappy when rumours filtered in from Lagos down to Delta about me. It was difficult for them to comprehend what was happening because they did not understand much about the entertainment industry.

Could that have contributed to your getting married very late in life?

Quote
I have been single for a very long time. I had to rule out getting married in a hurry because I saw too many things happen in the industry. And as I was growing up, I said to myself that as crazy as the industry is, I would have a sweet and happy home. I didn’t want to have a crazy home and belong to a crazy profession. I saw people who went into things they should not have gone into and all of that made me to see things in a more realistic state and calmed down.

What kind of things did you see?

Quote
People went into relationships especially marriages and before the blink of an eye, it was shattered. It discouraged me so much that I couldn’t bear seeing myself doing the same thing. I needed to be more careful and so I asked questions. Marriage is not just a fashion that comes and then goes out of style, it is a lifetime agreement, so I decided to discard all forms of pressure.

Talking about your child now, was the baby expected?

Quote
Well, what I would say is the baby came and we had to deal with that fact.

How did you react to the news?

Quote
I was shocked because that was the last thing on my mind then but I had to brace myself and accept it. I was barely able to find my feet at that time but the good thing is that the baby came and is now a blessing to me. I always say thumbs up to Gloria and her family because the early stages of the life of my daughter was in the hands of her mother and her family. If it were up to me, I had nothing to offer and till tomorrow, if not for who she is, I wonder what would have happened to the lady.

Was there no pressure from her?

Quote
Not at all, I must confess it is not easy to find someone with a heart as good as that. I did not get any kind of pressure from her financially or emotionally. She knew the level I was on and how to adapt to it.

I wonder why she chose you when it was obvious you had nothing to offer…?

Quote
Those are the kind of questions you don’t have answers to. The heart has a mind of its own. I’m thankful to my daughter. She is a wonderful and intelligent, sweet young girl. I must also add that I was never for one day denied access to my daughter by her mother or members of her family.

Currently what is the relationship like between you, your daughter and your new family?

Quote
It is a fantastic one. Gloria is not a troublesome person. She’s exposed, and comes from a good home.

Did you try to make thing work out between the two of you?

Quote
I’m not going to say I tried or not. We had to be civil for the sake of the child and allow her to grow. My daughter was at my wedding.
2279 Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Two Yoruba Men Charged Over Links With Al-Qaeda on: 6-07-2012 03:11 PM
Nigeria Boko-Haram is not just one local terrorist that accumulate themselves and give themselves name, they have proved themselves international.

Recently, Nigerian court in the Federal capital of Abuja on Thursday accused two men of having links with Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and of receiving funds from the militant group, court papers said.

Olaniyi Babafemi Lawal, 31, and Luqman Babatunde, 30, were also accused of planning to use the money “to recruit and transport prospective members of a terrorist group to Yemen”.

Islamist militant group Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is mainly active in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The two were accused of receiving “monies in Saudi riyals and US dollars equivalent to one million naira (about $6,200; 5,000 euros) from a terrorist organisation known as Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula,” court papers said.

They were also accused of intent to use the money “to recruit and transport prospective members of a terrorist group to Yemen,” violating Nigeria’s anti-terrorism law, it said.
2280 Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Photo: 1,500-Year-Old Ancient Synagogue With Mosaic Floor Discovered in Galilee on: 6-07-2012 02:59 PM
The remains of an ancient synagogue with a striking mosaic floor have been uncovered in northern Israel, the Israel Antiquities Authority said Monday.

The synagogue was uncovered in a dig that ended last week north-west of the Sea of Galilee at the ruins of the town of Huqoq, next to a modern-day kibbutz with the same name. The synagogue dates to between the 4th and 6th centuries C.E., according to the Antiquities Authority. At the time, Jewish life in the land of Israel was largely centered in the north.

The mosaic includes depictions of the heads of women, a portrayal of the biblical hero Samson and two foxes with burning torches tied to their tails — a detail from the Samson story in the Book of Judges — and a damaged Hebrew inscription urging congregants to perform good deeds.

The dig was led by Jodi Magness of the University of North Carolina, along with Antiquities Authority archaeologists.

The mosaics at the synagogue display “high artistic quality,” Magness said in the Antiquities Authority announcement Monday.

“This, together with the monumental size of the stones used to construct the synagogue’s walls, suggest a high level of prosperity in this village, as the building clearly was very costly,” she said.

The mosaic has been covered to protect it, and will be displayed again when the 2013 dig season begins next summer, according to the Antiquities Authority.
