Thousands of years ago, there was a time when Lion’s and Hyena’s were best friends. In fact, they were so close that they lived in the same cave. The went hunting together, ate together, went to the river to swim together, the lion clan and the Hyena community even began to breed with each other.
One day, the Lion asked the Hyena “My good friend, ever since I was young we have been together, and I can swear that I have never seen you laugh, why is it so, is anything bothering you?” the Hyena was dumbfounded “well, it’s not that I am never happy, I am happy most of the time but I don’t know how to express it through laughter” the Hyena said. After a little deliberation, the Lion and Hyena resolved to seek the help of the witch doctor to solve the problem of the Hyena.
Early the next morning, they both went to see the witch doctor. After the witch doctor mixed some charms, she gave it to the Hyena and said “you and every Hyena in the Animal kingdom must drink this. It will make you laugh. I prepared it with ancient Hyena blood so anyone who does not take it does not share joy within and will die.
They thanked her and left. The Hyena took the portion to his community and after drinking it, asked other Hyena’s to drink but some refused including the Hyena’s mother who hated Dark magic. After a few days, all the hyena’s that didn’t take the portion fell sick and after a few more days began to die. This greatly angered the Hyena because they loved each other greatly. Soon, the hyena’s mother died and it greatly angered the Hyena and he mobilized other Hyena’s and they killed the Lion who had brought the predicament on them.
The Lion clan felt insulted and waged war against the Hyena’s and chased them away from their midst. Even as the Hyena’s were running, they were laughing because the laughing portion was very effective.
 Till today, the Hyena still laughs even when he is angry.  And that is why till this day, a lion will kill a hyena even if it’s not hungry.

It was the day for our community’s

leadership election for the post of Onye

ishi. Which means “the head man” and we

were still waiting for the other five

candidates for the post but could find

none except the dreaded one legged

Okaka. The position of Onye ishi is

contested once in a generation as any

one elected would lead till he dies. The

past Onye ishi was found dead in his

family home and it was said that he died

of poison.

Before today, Okaka had told the other

five candidates to step down else

something bad would happen to them, but

their lust for power was far more than

their fear of death.

Everyone feared okaka. He had terrorized

the community for long. During his

school days, he was the head of a

dreaded cult and he led the cult to all

manner of evil practices. He lost his

leg when they went for a robbery and ran

into a patrolling police squad and they

engaged in a shootout and Okaka was shot

twice on his knee. After they escaped,

they couldn’t take him to the hospital

as they feared the police would come

searching for them so the Local medicine

doctor chopped off Okaka’s leg a few

weeks later when it began to decay.

Now Okaka the one legged criminal is

contesting for the post of the head of

the community that has gold in its rivers.
After waiting for the other candidates

and they didn’t show up, Okaka was

crowned Onye ishi of Opanela community.

He received different solidarity visits

from prestigious people in the country

and environs including the Gold minning

companies who gave Okaka a total of One


hundred million Naira to run his affairs.

Okaka  left the village to a foreign

country so as to get spiritual charms

and also imported different weapons and

ammunition that will be enough for seven

battalion. When he came back, he killed

all his enemies and told others who

didn’t support him to swear allegiance

and be loyal to him else there will be

no peace for them.
Everyone joined him soon he possessed

them with his charms. Okaka has a wicked

heart, and enjoys doing evil just for

Early marriage is no new thing from where I come from. It’s not new to mum, neither is it new to my elder sister who got married at the age of 15. I grew up knowing I was going to be the wife of Alhaji Tamuna as my Father used me to settle the debt he owed him. But what I didn’t know was that I was going to get married at the age of 13.
My Father and Alhaji Tamuna came home that evening and told me to prepare myself for marriage in less than a months’ time. In as much as I knew I was betrothed to Alhaji Tamuna, I did not expect that they would want me to actually get married at such a tender age. My chest was flat, my thoughts like an un tapped vegetation and that was the year I saw my first blood flow.

Finally, my worst nightmares were actually happening. The wedding was fixed in 2weeks time.  “don’t worry my dear, I will take good care of you. Anything you need I will buy for you, and as for your flat chest, when we get married I will pump them out.”   Alhaji Tamuna said to me that morning the wedding was fixed then he burst into a hilarious laughter.
I remember when my elder sis got married two years ago when I was 11. She looked like the perfect bride but in her inside she was boiling with hatred for both our father and her husband, but she pretended everything was fine, just to make our father happy, just to protect the family name.
I was scared. So scared that late in the night, just 3 days before my wedding I ran out of the house. I didn’t know where I was going to but I cocluded that anywhere away from home was ok. As I wandered alone late that night, the sky began to weep so I hid myself in a closed shop.  After about 2 hours it was still raining and I was terribly cold so I lay under the table and prayed for morning to come.
I woke up around 3am by the muffled scream of a lady. I opened my eyes to take a closer look only for me to see 2 men molesting a teenage girl. She was begging them but her plea fell on deaf ears as they tied her mouth and had their way with her. Even from where I hid, the view was sad. I lay still and didn’t know when I dozed off.
I woke up in the morning and knew that I couldn’t and shouldn’t spend another night on the street so after begging for transport money, I went back ......

When the Alarm woke up early that morning, I was not feeling too happy. It Was not because I had a very bad dream, but because I had totally forgotten the dream.
I and my room mate stood up and began to read immediately as it was our last paper in our degree exams. After reading we prepared our selves and went to school for the exam very delighted that we were fasting on that last paper. On getting to school, we were very happy because we all knew it was a happy day and that we were all going to be graduates today!

When the paper finally came,I wrote it with smiles all over my face. But my room mate had sadness all over his face. I leaned to his desk and wispered " why are u sad, is the paper hard?" He nooded yes.I opened my work for him to copy but our invigilator collected our papers and sent us out of the hall even after we pleaded with him.

The happy day turned sour for us because even though I had finished my question, my friend had not. He was obviously angered. "Why will this have to hapen on my last paper. Is this how I will remember my last exam in school?" He said. With that, he ordered a stick of ciga from mallam musa and draged it to fuel his anger. I tried comforting him by telling him its not the end, at least he has make up to look up to but he still wasn't happy."You are saying this because you finished your paper. Mallam abeg give me bottled water." He said.

Mallam Musa handed him a bottled water labelled "DEW BOTTLED WATER" and I spoke up " I know of the mineral Mountain dew, but which one is this dew water?" I asked. "Oga I no know walahi. Na Kabiru sell am for the water for me. Him say na him brother send am from tanzania, I buy am because e dey cheap oga".

We were still having our discussion but my room mate had long consumed the whole water and poured some on his head to cool off the heat. All of a sudden, He began co cough and it got only worse. "Mallam give him water to drink please" I told Musa. Even after drinking some of the water, he was still coughing profuously. The coughing was too much that it made people turn to face us and when he began coughing out blood, he attracted the attention of a large crowd."What is the problem?" I asked obviously scared. "Am dieing" that was his last words before he collapsed on the open field.

"Did he drink that water?" A guy asked "Yes, dats the only thing he has taken all day" I replied. "Oh no! I got a broadcast message this morning warning about this contaminated water imported from Tanzania. That water has killed him" I turned and looked down at my room mate and say some blood coming out of his mouth. Imidiately I remembered my dream. This was exactly what I hadd dreamt of, and now it was hapening. Damn! Maybe if I had prayed I would have reversed the dream. Maybe if the invigilator had not sent us out of the hall He would not have drank that water and probably would still be alive to keep facing the troubles of this world.

It as around 11:42pm and I just finished watching a horror movie and was scared to death! With all  the courage I had I went to the kitchen to get some milk but noticed that the window was open. As I went to close it, I noticed a creature putting on black and red linen standing outside; starring at my direction. He had blood stains on his right hand and on his left was a dirty shovel.  I quickly shut the window and ran to the sitting room to continue with my movie.

In the movie, I watching the part where a monster Chopped of the head of a girl
And was drinking the blood from her heart then suddenly....NEPA took the light!! Gawd!! Every where was in total darkness! I couldn't even remember where I put my phone.  

Although every where was dark, I could still see the image of the monster from the white TV screen, only that it looked like he was pointing towards me. Like something that is being controlled, the cushion I was sitting on began to move towards the Tv.     

Every thing was happening too fast and I was so scared! Quickly, I stood up and rushed to my room but stumbled on a stool and fell. Still feeling the pain on my kneel, I stood up, rushed to my room and banged the door behind me. I lay on my bed begging sleep to take me but it wouldn't. I heard a swift noise, then my curtain began to move. I saw a shadow like creature standing behind my curtain peeping at me. It was the monster! He had come to take my soul.

I tried to run out of the room but it was like I was sinking inside my bed and I couldn't move. My room was covered in total darkness, not even a single trace of light , I was sure I was going to die that night! I could hear my heart beat...it was like the base drum of a pala-military brigade. I could feel my blood pumping through my veins and artillery, I would make a nice dinner for the monster!

The monster opened my window and stepped in. I could it clearly now. He had one eye and two horns and I saw a bat trying to fly out of his jacket, just to devour me. The monster made a signal and two other creatures stepped into the room.

 One was in the form of a Beast, and the other like a reptile. As they came toward me, with all the courage I could gather, I stood up and ran out of the room. I wanted to run out of the house, but the beast like creature was already at the door so I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a knief. The first thing that entered my mind was to stab my self and end this misery, but on a second thought, I decided to fight till the death! So there I was, holding a knieve, waiting for the monster and his followers to come inside, then I began to hear heavy footsteps......Gbam!!.......Gbam!....... Closer...Gbam!....closer..... Then Nepa brought the light.......with a shock I woke up, only for me to realize I had been dreaming.....

All men are the same. Don’t ask me who told me to try them all because I didn’t, I only have proof. If u agree

with me that over 85% of men cheat; then that is a reasonable conclusion which not only backs up the fact that all

men are the same but further stamps the fact that all men are cheats!


I don’t want to go down memory lane and start bothering you with my sweet bitter experience in my many

relationships, but since you are reading this I can only conclude that you want to know my story.


I was growing too fat so I registered with a fitness center so as to loose some flesh especially in my tummy area

that was where I me Benson. Ben is not only handsome but has a body that will make any woman crave to have sex

with him. I was doing some sit ups when I heard an unfamiliar voice “ you have to stretch to the end and return

touching your kneels with your fore head if you want to burn that belle fat” I looked up only to see a handsome

young man looking down at me; it was Ben. He helped me with some more exercise and that was the beginning of our

friendship. A few days later, Ben asked me out and I accepted.


Ben was great, in fact almost perfect. He has all the qualities you need in a man only that he made strange

disappearances and would give silly excuses why his phone was off. Initially, I thought he was into some kind of

criminal business till I discovered he has a good job which pays him very well.

One day with all seriousness I demanded from him where he went to most of the time, but he reassured me that I had

nothing to worry because his work took him to places. He convinced me further by bringing out a box from his

Bosom  pocket which contained a diamond ring then he asked the big question “ will you marry me?”  that night we

has the most amazing sex. I was ready to give him a baby even before the wedding so in the height of my

overflowing emotion, I made sure he came inside me.

Most of the time, I envy people who have the most valuable asset; Time. Sometimes I wonder why there are only 24 hours in a day, cos it’s not just enough. I am

\Josephine Iheme, 31, a business woman and very successful at what I do.

I had just finished from a meeting with potential investors from Beijing who proposed to partner with my company and expand it to china. It was half-past eleven, just
\
thirty minutes before Sunday and I had to go home because I had a thanks giving service to attend. So instead of lodging in the hotel opposite my firm like I normally

do when it’s late, I choose to drive home late that night.

The road was clear so I was driving on high speed, about 110km/hr when I noticed a little baby right in the middle of the road. With all the energy I had I stepped on

the brake. It was a miracle my car didn’t climb the baby, so I pulled over, adrenaline pumping heavily into my veins, I was wondering who is the stupid person that

allowed this beautiful baby crawl to this place and by this time.

I was just about to pick the baby up when two men rushed out of the bush, one holding a locally made gun and the other a matchet. “please, just take the money, all I

have with me is in my purse’’ I pleaded. The one with the matchet went to my car and ransacked it taking every valuable he could lay his hands on.

The one holding a gun was now close to me, looking at me in a funny way “open your leg!’’ he shouted at me. I couldn’t believe it! This dirty rag actually wanted to…. 

‘you no dey hear me?’ he said pointing the gun at me. “I have given you all I have please let me go” he came close me and gave me a thunderous slap. He began to

tear my gown. With the ease he was tearing my cloth and paralyzing my bones, I knew he had done this many times. With my last strength I pushed him, as he

staggered I kicked him on his balls and began to run.


I have never been good at running, even in high school when I represented my school team, I came last. The guy with the matchet was giving me a hot chase. Within

seconds he caught up with me and landed his matchet on my back inflicting on me a deep wound just below my shoulders.


He landed slaps on me, but I was still fighting and kicking. Then the slaps turned to blows which made me unconscious. I gave up; let him do what he wants to,

tomorrow I’ll just pretend like it never happened.

Then from nowhere, there was a bright light and a van was speeding towards us. That was when the bastard left me and started running. With my last strength I

looked up and it was the police, then black out.

Police is your friend, no, police is my best friend. If not for the police, I wouldn’t be writing this story, I probably will be dead or somewhere crying.

It’s quite a happy ending for me, but what about those who have been unlucky?

May God continue to protect us from uncivilized barbarians out there, especially as we don’t go to places or hang out late where we know is not safe.

What exactly attracts a man to a woman? Although, we live in a society where men often pretend to like a woman which might be for personal reasons, I will like to

remind you that men are more segxwal creatures than women. In as much as a man will be drawn to the physical attributes of a woman like her physicality (body

stature, lips, eyes, smile, boobs etc) as the chemistry diminishes, a man will pay more attention to the inner qualities of a woman which goes a long way to defining

the relationship between the two of them.


On this topic, we will talk about both the internal and external features that attract a man to a woman.


INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FACTORS THAT ATTRACTS A MAN TO A WOMAN.


1.   segxwal Chemistry- Am starting with this because men are men, and this might likely be the first thing to come into his mind. A man is most likely to be attracted

to a woman with an awesome body structure. Am not saying this to please or displease any one, am just saying how it is. Some men like slim girls, some fat ones,

yet most men will strive to resist a lady that has a segxwal connection with them….it’s just chemistry.

A lady who knows body language techniques, will send a thousand signals to a man even without saying a word.

An yes, everyone loves sex, a lady who is not afraid to undertake segxwal adventures will keep a man glued to her even if he want to go.


2.   Features and Attributes- I call this the accessories. A woman with killer eyes will attracts a man, better still, a lady can melt the heart of a man if she has a

wonderful smile.  Men see women who smile a lot as the “happy ones”. It’s like an unconscious signal telling a man he can talk to you without being embarrassed,

you get? I you are the type that is always sad, most men will see you as being insecure and that’s not what we want isn’t it?


Other “accessories” are; Beauty which is the natural ingredient, hygiene common!Do I have to tell you this? Self-Care, Good Kisser, ummm this might be after he

tasted it lol, Good eye contact and the rest.

3.   Communication Skills And Sence of Humour-  Maybe you grew up isolated, or maybe you have snubbed a lot of people and have lost your communication skills

(some guys disturb so much you have to shoot them before they leave you) huh? Go and find it.  There is nothing more encouraging than a flowing discussion. You

are interested in a guy and he is trying to communicate with you and you are giving him the “yes” Maybe” “ok” etc answers arrghh most guys would conclude you’re

not interested.  Hey! I don’t mean you should talk too much, I mean you should be you. But if you like him, try and keep the discussion going.

And yes, I said it before, men love the happy ones. O you think a man should be the only one saying the funny things? I laugh you. If you know what to say to make

the discussion humorous, say it, a little laugh won’t kill. #EnoughSaid

4.   Personality/Attitude- Ever heqard of the ter “Wife Material”? This is it! It comprises of those inner positive attributes that comes to you naturally as a woman or

those you have created for yourself overtime. Re you a good listener? Are you kind? Do you have a forgiving heart?  It all matters. When a man wants a serious

relationship  he looks for these qualities


Also, a man will admire and respect you if you are intelligent.  This intelligence no be the one them they get from school ohh.


On attitude;your attitude is everything! It defines you. The way you act, the way you carry yourself; that’s you. It’s ok to have role models, but don’t be someone else,

be you!


I also want to add that it is important to apply youthfulness in your relationship. Yes we know you are matured but what is wrong if you are your hubby’s baby? We

see 16year old’s  putting on a cologne and attitude of 50year old’s and 50year old’s reminiscing about being 16. The world is not complicated enough.

5.   Dressing- this is not complicated, but lot of people make it seem like it is. There is a difference between hot and sexy. Let me use two statement to illustrate it,


Statement 1-  damn! Did you see the way she dressed? Every guy’s attention was on her, I could almost see her undies. I must fu*k her.


Statement 2- men that girl is different she always dresses responsible; this is the type of girl I will like to settle down with.
Do you still need more explanation? Here it is; PLEASE GO BACK TO SCHOOL.

6.   Self-Confidence- A confident woman is radiant, she knows how to act. The jungle is full of dangerous animals yet, the lioness walks about fearing nothing; can

you beat that? Nevertheless, never confuse confidence with arrogance; they have never been the same.


A confident woman sets standards for herself and those around her. This trait can help a woman screen out some people from her circle as insecure men will feel

inferior and won’t have the nerve to approach her.


We are only human and can’t be emotionally stable all the time, yes, but try to avoid being overly emotional. Maybe you always post about your emotions on social

networks and a few guys comment on it giving you all sort of sweet words; don’t be deceived, if you continue like that you will be seen as insecure and as one who

lacks confidence. Sometimes we need a shoulder to lean on, but doing this all the time doesn’t even seem right to you does it?

7.   Money/Wealth- I once read a story about a tower where men go to shop for women. The first tower has beautiful women; the second has beautiful kind women

who are wealthy. All the men that went to shop for women in the tower stopped shopping when they got to second tower. Do you get? What else does a man want? 

A man will be happy to provide for his woman, but if the woman is wealthy, doesn’t it make things easier?


But it all depends. A generous man who has all the money to spend won’t complain. But generally speaking, wealthy women attract men shikena!

Before I conclude, I must add that there is one natural reason why a man will be attracted to a woman, and that’s LOVE. Yes, I believe in love. You may be beautiful, ugly, short, kind, think about any mixture, but if love infects you, you have no other choice than to be attracted to each other.
