Did u hear that in March 2013, the US health system will commence and beneficiaries will only be those who will have a micro chip ingrained at the back of their palms or their foreheads. The micro chips will contain all their biometric details and be even linked to their banks. Who knows...they may even carry the mark of the beast. With these, their movements will at all times be monitored. Does this remind us of end times as revealed in the book of Revelation? Kindly google the exposition of ILLUMINATTI and u will agree that bible prophesy is being fulfilled. What to do? Stop the rat race and be aright with God and neighbor.

This is a platform of reality into Benue future, support this idea as we match towards 2015. We need your support for this project to grow. We cry n yearn for Leader that can take us to the next stage of Development, here is a man of a like mind of J.S Terka n others. The future of a state/country is always shaped and defined by people who have the passion and the drive to push beyond the ordinary, beyond limits and boundaries; by people with big ideas and even bigger, bolder commitment to accomplish what may now seen impossible. We the benue youths in Diaspora see Chief Samuel Ortom  as the man who can bring us the leadership the Benue people need in 2015. We anticipate your support so dearly.

The journey of man in life is something that can never be under rated nd only a man can vividly explain how he has attained a certain height in life.In the late 1970s and early 1980 from information available to me they was a certain young man who could not hav the privelleged of being sponsored to school by the parents and ended up in Gboko park as a taxi driver running Gboko- mkar route but this did not deter him of the quest for eduaction but rather helped him to gain resources and train himself which to our surprise has now bagged a Phd in conflict resolution.what can be more suprising to know this man is now a minister of both d gospel and FG after serving as chairman of Guma and a long serving secretary of PDP Benue and pdp national auditor. My fellow benue youths who is this man that is known to be one of the successful Tiv business owners? He is the Nyamkume of Nzorov chief Dr Samuel Ortom, the one benue youths are watching closely

To add value to society by improving governance, reaching out to the poor, the downtrodden and the voiceless, igniting their own quest for self actualization

About Me
For those of you who may not know, my name is Dr Samuel Ioraer Ortom, Nigeria’s Honorable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Trade & Investment and I have today, chosen this particular moment to invite you into my world.I have been a cabinet Minister since the July 4th, 2011 and though this is supposed to be a big office, meant for a supposedly ‘big man’, I am not a ‘big man.’

I am just like any of you really- simple, down to earth, humble and without airs of any sort. I am just an ordinary everyday man, trying help Mr President deliver on his Transformation Agenda as regards Trade Facilitation & Investment promotion in the world’s most populous black nation.

My ministry was created in July 2011 as the successor of the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The former Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry had a bifocal mandate- to grow the economy in the areas of trade and manufacturing by removing all trade barriers and boosting manufacturing.

The new FMTI was given an expanded mandate- to attract FDI into the country, strengthen industry, boost local enterprise or SME’s and promote trade with a view to creating jobs and generating wealth.

I was thereafter appointed the pioneer Minister of State for this Ministry and charged to work with Mr Olusegun Aganga the substantive Minister, to deliver on Mr. Presidents Transformation Agenda.

Creating trade and investment opportunities for 160million people has been a herculean task and getting the people to also see the efforts of Mr President in this regard hasn’t been easy either but we are marching forward purposefully. Communicating our strategic mandate and blueprint, activities, milestones and achievemnets to the populace is the major reason why I have decided to launch this page despite my tight schedule and engagements.

This is a relationship management platform between the government on one hand and the populace on the other. It is both very expedient and necessary in fostering stronger and more beneficial ties between both parties at this point in time as we settle into delivering on our mandate as promised by Mr President after the 2011 elections.

This page will try to say my mind as a government official and articulate my thoughts as a private citizen and politician too hence it offers you the opportunity to connect with me all day long. This is my diary, it is my life, and it is interactive- I’m always on my Ipad and on line, real time 24-7.

This means we can be in touch all the time. You may not always see me replying to every comment but am on the back end, reading anything you put down as you are writing it, smiling, grinning and taking making mental notes as the case maybe.
As I said in my very first post, I have joined Facebook and Twitter on the very first anniversary of my appointment into office as the Honorable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Trade & Investment.

On this day last year, I took my oath of office as a cabinet Minister and was sworn into office as a minister of a ministerial portfolio that hitherto existed as the Federal Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

My online presence before, I managed managed via my personal website, www.samuelortom.com which I am presently improving to complement my efforts here in disseminating official information for public consumption. This I have decided to do, in furtherance of Mr President’s Transformation Agenda and in order to throw more light on the activities and programs of the Federal Ministry of Trade & Investment.

So like I already said, this page is all about me-it talks about the life and times of Samuel Ioraer Ortom- in my capacity as a serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as in my role as a party elder, pastor, farmer, philanthropist, industrialist, husband, father and every other thing in between. It is about my life and my work- my philosophy, my hopes and aspirations, my activities, projects and engagements.

This page is meant to facilitate easy and effective communication between me and people from different walks of life, both at home and in the Diaspora. From government functionaries, the organized private sector, academia, intelligentsia, party men, labor, civil society, spiritual leaders as well as the common man on the street, this site articulates my ideas on our national growth and development as well as my thoughts on restoring faith in our democratic trajectory, thereby reducing our susceptibility to corruption, ushering in good governance and sustainable democracy.

It talks about my activities-both as a party man and as a public servant, just so people will better understand the leadership recruitment process on the one hand, and to also better comprehend how government and her functionaries make decisions and allocate resources on the other.

I can only pray this effort educates and enlightens all of you on the inner workings of government as seen through the eyes of a top ranking cabinet official. I urge you all to contribute with your ideas, innovations, suggestions and constructive criticisms so we can all be a part of building our great nation and moving us forward.

My twitter handle is @samuelortom and you can also reach me via email outside facebook on : [email protected]

God Bless Nigeria
