43  Forum / The Buzz Central / "Let Me Stroke The Giant In Your Pants" - A Female Fan To Alex Ekubo on: 16-11-2013 08:57 AM

In an interview with Ademola Olonilua of  PUNCHng.com, Nigerian model and actor Alex Ekubo talked about how a female fan called him and asked him to come over to her house to get the giant in his pants stroked!

When asked;

Being a fashionable person, you would get hit-on a lot by women. What are some hilarious pick-up lines you have heard from a lady? Continue to see his reply....

A lady once called me and said, 'hey you're doing really well in your career as an actor, you are making giant strides, why don't you come over to my house let me stroke the giant in your pants.' I think that was hilarious and cute, but I give her a hundred per cent for originality. Some ladies have gone as far as writing my mum on social media, telling her how great a daughter in-law they would be, listing their qualities begging my mum to convince me to give them a chance. A lot of them send me indecent photos and proposals, telling me of things they want to do to my body.

50  Forum / The Buzz Central / UK Government Backs Down On £3,000 Visa Bonds on: 3-11-2013 01:06 PM

The UK government has announced plans to cancel the £3,000 cash bond that visitors from 'high risk' countries, including Nigeria, were to put up to enter Britain. Below is the latest update from The Sunday Times UK..

The government is to abandon a controversial plan to impose £3,000 immigration bonds on visitors from “high-risk” countries in Africa and Asia after Nick Clegg threatened to block the policy.

The move will be seen by Labour as a humiliating U-turn for Theresa May, the home secretary. It came after David Cameron backed off from a full-scale confrontation with the Liberal Democrat leader, who was blocking the scheme’s progress through cabinet.

A pilot project to target visitors from seven countries — including India, Pakistan and Nigeria — who would have had to pay a cash guarantee or deposit to deter immigration abuse was to have been introduced this month.

The plan was to make visitors forfeit £3,000 if they failed to return home by the time their visas had expired. But in an announcement this weekend the government said it was canceling the plans

In an interview with Vogue’s Shomara Roosblad, the Studio 53 Extra host talks about the role fashion played in her childhood while growing up in Nigeria and Britain and how Nigerian women are constantly expressing themselves with fashion.

‘Nigerian women I have to say that we love to express ourselves, the bright colors and cheerful prints, we are magpies, in that sense. We love things that sparkle and shine, both in clothes and accessories, and the silhouette shapes‘, Edewor says.

56  Forum / The Buzz Central / 127 Dead In Yobe Boko Haram Attack on: 30-10-2013 09:46 AM

A 5-hour battle between Islamic extremists and army troops in the capital of Yobe state killed at least 127 people, all but two combatants, according to reports from army and police officers that raise doubts about military claims that they have the upper hand in Nigeria’s fight to halt an Islamic uprising in the northeast.

The stench of rotting corpses from the morgue hung over Damaturu Specialist Hospital on Tuesday, where a reporter counted 31 bodies identified as those of extremists.

Details still are trickling in about the attack, which militants began at dusk Thursday on an army barracks 20 kilometers (12 miles) outside Damaturu, the capital, where they overpowered the soldiers, seized an armored car, looted the armory and set the barracks ablaze with improvised explosive devices.

The reports were given to Yobe state Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam by military officers as he toured the destroyed sites with a heavily armed escort on Monday. Journalists accompanying the tour heard the reports.

The attackers then moved down the main road into the city where they rammed the armored car through the gates to the headquarters of the Police Anti-Terrorist Squad. There, they burned down three buildings.

While some of the extremists exchanged fire with the police, the armored car and others in all-terrain pickup trucks and on foot went on to shoot up and set fire to the police Criminal Investigation Department offices and four other police offices scattered across the city until they arrived at the Mobile Police Base, where the armored car caught fire and was abandoned.

57  Forum / The Buzz Central / Edo State Governor Denies Hosting Dillish In A Press Release on: 27-10-2013 09:59 PM

The rumor that the Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole hosted Dillish, the winner of BBA ‘The Chase’ in Edo State hit the social networks some days ago and Nigerians lambast the governor for misusing the state’s funds for his personal selfish interest. In the statement, the rumor was debunked and the intention was made known to host Dillish in the nearest future for advertising and declaring in the BBA House that Edo State people are very hospitable, and to prove to her that Edo State is not only hospitable, but also a safe haven for those who intend to do legitimate business in the State.

PRESS STATEMENT.

EDO STATE GOVERNMENT DID NOT  HOST BBA’S DILLISH.

Our attention has been drawn to a news report in Daily Independent of Friday, October 25, 2013, where one Mr. Eddie Iroh was quoted as expressing displeasure on a rumoured hosting of Dillish, the winner of Big Brother Africa. In the said report, Eddie Iroh was said to have “condemned the Governor for spending state’s funds so recklessly”. The report added inter alia that “ the likes of Governors Oshiomhole, Fashola and Dickson who are in the habit of dipping their hands into public funds on such ventures should have known that in civilized climes, such celebrations were funded from the Governors’ pockets and not public funds”.How libelous!
From the above, it is obvious that Mr. Eddie Iroh is suffering from brain wave. First, it would have been a thing of interest for Edo State Government to host the said BBA winner, Dillish, to justify her well-advertised declaration in the BBA House that Edo State people are very hospitable. That in itself was a global endorsement that is purely priceless. Again, if Dillish would agree, as a BBA ambassador, Edo State Government would be willing to host her in future to prove to cynics and naysayers like Eddie Iroh that Edo State is indeed, not only hospitable, but also a safe haven for those who intend to do legitimate business in the State. It will be a departure from orchestrated and concocted stories often peddled by jobless people like Eddie Iroh, who rather than devote their old age to reflect on their absurdities when they called the shots, have now taken to the cyber space for surfing cheap gossip, chit-chat and unfounded allegations.
To the best of our knowledge, Edo State did not host Dillish in whatever material particular. This could be verified from the Governor’s daily routines which are usually available for public consumption and can be confirmed from the Protocol Department of the Governor’s Office or Government House. Mr. Eddie Iroh’s comment is pure hallucination. Eddie Iroh’s story is an open sore that is festered with several incongruities, inanities, ambiguities and failing memory. He should provide evidence to show that Governor Oshiomhole dips his hands into public funds to host his private visitors or simply keep his mouth shut. We have gone past the age of Eddie Iroh, an age of those men of yesterday, who abused public institutions they presided over, to fest their nest at the expense of tax payers’ money. In Edo State, we are not only accountable to the people; we have also earned their respect and trust.

There was a minor accident yesterday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, involving a Turkish Airline aircraft and a Max Air plane. The Turkish Airline plane wings collided with that of Max Air plane which had brought in Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

The Turkish Airplane had landed safely but was taxiing to stop at the airport’s apron when its wing collided with that of Max Air. The collision resulted in minor damages to both airplanes and they had been taken away for repairs
