People dress up on Halloween today because the original Pagan tradition was to dress up to scare off evil spirit, So the above comment was right. There are many difference between today's celebration of Halloween and the holiday that Pagans celebrate, most kids dress up and go out for "Trick-or-Treat"(also known as guising). Having said that, I've lived here 19yrs I and my family never dressed up or participated in it, from my perspective, I personally reckon it not Godly.
