The police has no right to ask her for ID without probable cause. And also she has the right to decline identifying herself if she has done nothing wrong. Ever heard of the Fourth Amendment right? I guarantee you, if she was white the police would not have detain her.
Before you criticize Yvonne Nelson, I want you to know that she hasn't committed any crime. She only chose not to follow people blindly. Why do we always copy the west without thinking about it? ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a typical Caucasian disease. It has no roots in Africa. We the people of Africa need to stand up together and kick Ebola out before it claims more lives. Ebola kills it victims within weeks which is very scary. While ALS takes between 3-5 years before it claims it victims. We should all be ashamed of ourselves for criticizing Yvonne Nelson for standing up for the truth. We have more problems starring us in the face as Africans, what are we doing about it? The white man will eventually kick ALS out while thousands of Africans will still be dying from the deadly Ebola. May God help us all.
In my humble opinion, I think Yvonne Nelson is right in every way to choose not to participate in the ALS challenge. However, the reason she gave for not taking up the challenge is just a flimsy excuse. If she had use Ebola as an excuse for not participating, some of us would have boldly support her. By the way, ALS is not an epidemic in West Africa, Ebola is. Why are African celebrities not engaging in any challenge to raise funds to kick out Ebola like the West is doing with ALS? The two American doctors that were infected with Ebola were discharged today Ebola free. What does that tell you? If the American doctors were not infected no one in Africa would have known that there is a secret serum that can treat the deadly Ebola virus. The ALS challenge is not going to benefit Africans in any way so why bother? We need Ebola challenge, not ALS. Yvonne Nelson do what you think is right.
The girl in question is actually from Kenya. There is no one in Ghana called Motende, that's a typical Kenyan name. And also, Rongo University College is located at Migori Province, Kenya. Please stop spreading false information. Gutter journalism at it's best.
There is no enough details for some of us to determine if the man is guilty or not. However, a 17 years old girl taking a taxi with no money leave so many questions unanswered. 1) was it a consensual sex? 2) did the girl exchange a ride home with sex? 3) even if it was a consensual sex why did the old man sleep with a girl that young? 4) did the man admit to the offense? 5) did he take advantage of a young innocent girl because she was alone with him? By the way, my sincere sympathy to the young innocent victim.
This story is very real. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. I personally know the New Jersey couple that passed away last month. the girl (Melissa Pereira) is a very decent girl and she didn't deserve to die this way, It's very sad!! By the way, the picture the poster used is not the 40 year old couple that died in Pennsylvania, it is actually that of the young couple in New Jersey, 24 year old Jorge Rodriguez and 25 year old Melissa Pereira whom I happen to know. May their soul rest in Peace!!
She is Innocent. Have you ever heard a shoplifter getting caught and at the same time let off the hook without appearing before a Judge? In UK, the shoplifting Law is set up in a way that one cannot avoid paying a penalty even if it was a genuine mistake. I read an article somewhere that she paid a fine in the amount of 80 pounds. So if she indeed paid 80 pounds then she’s Innocent after all because the fine for genuine mistake in an alleged shoplifting case in UK is fixed for 80 pounds.
Oh no... this is animal cruelty. the cat is not a human being that this fools must take pleasure in detaining it. how can you detain a mere animal that can not defend itself in court? the best way to solve this mystery is to set the cat free and trace it to the house it goes to. the poor cat in such a panic and traumatic state will definitely run home. so the authorities can easily find out which of the prisoner's lives there. once they are able to determine the owner of the cat, that prisoner must be held liable for the crime and be giving additional sentence. Case Closed!!
