Exactly a week after they were arrested and held in prison for collecting N93million bribe from Femi Otedola to remove his company, Zenon Oil, from the list of indicted companies, Farouk Lawan and Boniface Emenalo were this morning granted bail by an Abuja High Court.

The Judge granted the two men bail on the sum of N10 million and asked them to relinquish their international passports to the court. They are only allowed to travel out of the country with the court's permission. The case has been fixed for April 10 and 17 for hearing.

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Thursday said that the corpses found floating in a river in Anambra State were its members.
Last month, more than 20 bodies were discovered floating on the Ezzu River in Amansea, a border town linking Anambra and Enugu States.
The police confirmed the bodies and said they were carrying out investigations to confirm their identities and their cause of death.

MASSOB said that they were members of the group who were arrested and detained by security agencies in Anambra State; but never released or charged to court.
“Efforts by our counsel to secure their bail from the police proved futile. Our demands for their arraignment before a competent court of law were frustrated by SARS officers. They claimed that the court was not sitting because of Christmas,” said Uchenna Madu,MASSOB’s Director of Information
.
According to Mr. Madu, some of the names of the recovered corpses are Basil Ogbu, Michael Ogwa, Sunday Omogo, Philip Nwankpa, Eze Ndubisi, Ebuka Eze, Obinna Ofor, Joseph Udoh and Uchechukwu Ejiofor.
Mr. Madu said that they were arrested last November at the MASSOB’s security office in Onitsha, Anambra State, by a team of police, army, and State Security Service men.
They were taken to the State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, headquarters, in Awkuzu, where they were detained until their disappearance.

Residents of Abule egba,lagos where stunned beyond words when a woman accidentally gave birth to a baby in a tricyle known as keke marwa in local parlance.

Mrs Mutiat Aileru delivered a baby girl at about 5 pm.Eyewitnesses say a woman suddenly ran out of the commercial tricycle, Keke Marwa and raised the alarm that her relative was delivering a baby inside the tricycle they had boarded.

Women selling wares by the road and pedestrians rushed to her aide.They picked her up, some cleaning her, others cuddling and others yet bringing accessories to assist in the delivery.

According to the driver of the tricycle,Prophet Ariyo Ajibola of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Erimo in Ijaiye-Ojokoro,
It was at Ikeja computer village that the two women that followed the mother approached me to beg me to assist them to carry a pregnant woman to a hospital in Abule Egba.
At first I was reluctant but when they began to plead, I obliged. Moreso, as a prophet, I had an inner conviction that there won’t be any problem.
And I took them in. But when we got past Agege, the pregnant woman began to moan in seriuos labour.

Ailing governor of Enugu state, Sullivan Chime breezed into Nigeria yesterday after being away for more than eight months.

Sullivan is currently in Abuja probably in Aso rock and will be back to Enugu on friday. The governor's absence from office caused a lot of speculation and even at a time he was declared dead but thank God he is back to his motherland, hale and hearty.

Some evil people are after Nigeria's finance minister, Ngozi okonjo Iweala, the minister escaped death when Police anti-bomb squad diffused two alleged Improvised Explosive Devices on Monday. They were planted directly in front of the post office in Area 10, Garki, Abuja.

A pathetic case of child abuse happened at IVY school, A popular nursery and primary school located at Isheri, Ojudu Berger of Lagos state.
The mother of the girl Mrs Zainab Rodemade wrote a petition to the Deputy Inspector General of police .
My daughter returned back from school at regular time and while bathing for her at about 8pm, she cried as I was about to wash her private part so I was worried and confused. The daughter later explained that it was her aunty in school that inserted a pencil inside her private part in the school toilet.
Miss Oruma Patience,the teacher inserted a 2B pencil into the child private part in the school toilet, the policemen on duty asked the student to demonstrate how she did it. Mrs Zanaib went to her school the following day to report the case to the school authority,she met the head teacher called Miss Oruma with 3 female teachers and they all watched how the little girl demonstrated the act and manner her class teacher used pencil to dis-virgin her.
The case was later reported to Isheri police station then the parent of the girl were asked to visit the general hospital for proper documentation of the girl’s health,the mother told that she is highly devastated and disturbed and doctors confirmed it that the usage of the pencil inside her private part has defiled her.

Convicted Speaker, Hon. Farouk lawan suprised the jury and other members of the court when he fell asleep during the hearing.

The petite speaker has ben under serious pressure ever since he was involved in a $620,000 bribery scandal. The Boyish looking northerner was looking exhausted and mentally fagged which might have caused his temporary drift to the 'other side'.

My lips are sealed on this one but According to sources in the know, during Winners Chapel Cross Over service on Tuesday January 1st in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun state, worshipers of the church made donations of over 700 exotic cars to the church. People who felt they had been richly blessed in 2012 came to the cross over service with different donations, most significant was the number of exotic brand new cars and SUVs that flooded Canaanland. The people who donated them dropped the keys and documents of the cars during offering. The church auctioned the cars at very cheap prizes to its members. Some cars were sold for as less as N300k.

A Kogi State Polytechnic lecturer who was alleged to have driven under the influence of alcohol on Monday, had reported crushed three student of the school to death.



The lecturer who according to eye witnesses was on high speed knocked down one Miss Taiwo Edilola Omolola, a HND 1 student as she was about to board a commercial motorcycle from the campus and two others waiting to board a cab.
The slain student got stock under the lecturer’s car wheel as he dragged her along the expressway.

Miss Taiwo’s disfigured body was later pulled out.

In an attempt to escape being killed by the angry mob, he hit and killed two other students who were waiting to board a cab at the opposite direction.

However, the State Police Spokesperson, ASP Ajayi Akansanmi, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said he was yet to confirm the incident.

On Tuesday,the State Security Service, SSS in Abuja paraded 6 men suspected of kidnapping Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus and former Mr Nigeria, Kenneth Okoli.

The two were abducted on Dec.15th 2012 in owerri,Imo state.The suspects demanded a ransome of 100 million but were paid an unspecified amount in a plot to trap them by the family of the actress.
