Not sure if he will stand by his words, or better yet, if his “girlfriend” has anything to do with this, however, AC Milan’s Mario Balotelli and former Manchester City problem child recently made a rather bizarre comment which involves his current girlfriend, Fanny.  Balotelli reportedly made a promise to Real Madrid players saying that they can sleep with his Belgian model girlfriend Fanny Neguesha if they win the Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.

126  Forum / Sports / Luis Suarez future with Liverpool in doubt after apologizing for biting Ivanovic on: 22-04-2013 08:10 AM

Well, even after his groveling apology, it seems an “I sorry” statement will not get the Uruguayan striker out of this one. Liverpool are under mounting pressure to kick out Luis Suarez after he bit Branislav Ivanovic in his side's 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers has told Luis Suárez that no player is irreplaceable after the Liverpool striker disgraced himself by sinking his teeth into Branislav Ivanovic during Chelsea's 2-2 draw at Anfield. Rodgers, who initially refused to comment on the situation, said in a statement: ‘Having reviewed the video footage and spoken to Luis, his behaviour is unacceptable and I have made him aware of this.’

In a recent interview with bbcsports, AC Milan's Kevin-Prince Boateng reveals that it is important racist players face more severe punishment and should be sacked if needed.

Boateng who walked off the pitch in AC Milan's match against Italian team Pro Patria after he was racially abused by their fans believes this is a good approach to dealing with the issues of racism in football.

I very much agree with his stance, like it or not, calling people names like "monkey" is a hate crime that deserves more punishment than  mere fine.

132  Forum / Sports / Current state of Abuja National Stadium: Reptiles and weeds take over Stadium on: 28-03-2013 06:26 AM

The appalling conditions of Sports facilities in the Nigeria is something to worry about; the Abuja National Stadium is no exception. The stadium which serves as a home to the Nigerian national football team as well as a center for various social, cultural, and religious events has recently become unrecognizable. The Stadium was constructed for about $360 million in 2003  to host the 8th edition of the All African Games, and ever since, maintenance has become the primary reason for the present state of its appearance.
Love to hear what ya think, this is real bad.

He previously pleaded guilty to fraud and misuse of visas, mail fraud and harboring aliens.

The 44-year-old former tennis pro faked immigration papers from Africa for some of the children who were in middle school and brought them to Michigan where he forced them to cook and clean while starving and beating them with toilet plungers, broomsticks and electrical cords.

134  Forum / Sports / 2014 World Cup qualifiers:Nigeria and Malawi in tight race for the tickets on: 25-03-2013 03:31 PM
African Champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria were rescued by a last-gasp equalizer on Saturday during their match in home soil Calabar, Nigeria against Kenya in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. With the results from Saturday’s game, the Super Eagles now have 5 points from three games, and sit at the top of Group F with Malawi who won over Namibia 1-0 in Windhoek.

Malawi’s new standing could be cause for worry for Nigeria as the current African Champions are ahead in group F only because they scored more goals than their closest rivals (Malawi) – Nigeria scored three goals while Malawi have netted two goals.  No doubt, the draw in Calabar puts Nigeria in a tight corner; The Super Eagles now have two away games and a home match to reach the knockout stage of the qualifying series which will be played in October and November.

Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi has warned Chelsea's unhappy supporter about the impact of their negative conduct in the Club’s performance this season. The Blues recovered from a rather dangerous position against Manchester United on Sunday 10 March to keep the defense of the FA Cup alive.
Speaking on the issue Mikel says: 'It is natural to lose confidence if things aren't going well.
'And sometimes it doesn't help either when the fans are not happy, when they get at you a bit if you give the ball away. That brings pressure.
'But this is our job. The fans pay to watch and we have a responsibility to give them something back and make sure we play well. Every game we try to do that. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
