2  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Daughter Chops Off Father’s Head For Molesting Her on: 19-06-2013 01:36 PM
A teenage girl chopped her father’s head clean off with a bush knife after he Molested her in their home in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. Now residents of the village have formed a protective ring around the 18-year-old, refusing to hand her over to the police because they agreed her ‘evil’ father deserved to die. A local church leader, Pastor Lucas Kumi from the village of Rang in the Western Highlands, said the entire community would refuse to allow the girl to be subjected to any official investigation.

‘The people and leaders in our area went and saw the headless body of the father after the girl reported the incident to them and explained why she had killed her father,’ said Pastor Kumi. He told the Post Courier newspaper that the father, in his mid-40s, Molested his daughter when they were alone in their house after the mother and two other children from the family went to visit relatives for the night. The community have also agreed not to conduct any formal burial service for the father.’

Crimes of molestation, murder, suspected witch killings and prostitution are rife throughout Papua New Guinea and as a desperate attempt to stop the lawlessness the government recently re-introduced the death penalty for serious offences. But at the weekend the Post Courier reported the results of an investigation into child prostitution, a report, it said, that will ‘make you cringe.’

4  Forum / The Buzz Central / The Numerous Health Benefits of Coconuts on: 18-06-2013 12:56 PM
One of my all-time favorite fruits is the coconut. The Pacific Islanders believe that it is the cure for all illness, which is why the palm tree (from which coconuts are grown) is known as “The Tree of Life.” Coconut oil is thought to possess healing properties above and beyond that of any other dietary oils.

Eating coconuts are excellent for one’s immunity. They are antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-parasitic, meaning they kill harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Because of that, if you consume coconut in any of its various forms (whether it be raw coconut, coconut oil, coconut milk, coconut butter, etc.), it can help treat some of mankind’s worst and most resilient of illnesses such as influenza, giardia, lice, throat infections, urinary tract infections, tapeworms, herpes, gonorrhea, bronchitis, and numerous other ailments caused by microbials.

Whether you’re eating the meat, drinking the juice, or consuming it as oil, coconuts are a delicious and nutritious source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. It has tons of calcium, potassium, and magnesium, as well as plenty of electrolytes. In fact, coconut water is known to have the same electrolyte levels as human plasma, and has even been used for plasma transfusions!

The oil is excellent for keeping one young and beautiful. Its antioxidant properties slow down the aging process by protecting the body from harmful free radicals. I like to put a little bit of coconut oil on my skin every day to keep it nice and smooth, as well as free from dryness. You can also apply it on your skin before showering. The hot water opens the pores, allowing the oil to absorb through the skin more efficiently. Just make sure to wipe the bottom of the tub when you’re done, since the coconut oil can be slippery. Coconut oil is also known to treat skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

It also helps hair to become more healthy and lustrous. My hair has always been a bit on the dry, thin side, so I like to put coconut oil in it. On occasion, I’ll leave the oil in my hair overnight (covering my pillow with a towel so as to not get it oily) and wash it out in the morning. I’m always satisfied to find my hair is moist, radiant, and shiny. It’s a great alternative if you don’t want to use a leave-in conditioner.

Eating coconuts also supports the development of strong, healthy bones and teeth. It does this by improving the body’s ability to absorb calcium and magnesium. It also prevents osteoporosis, a condition in which the bones become thin and fragile and lose their density. This makes coconuts a good, healthy alternative for those who are lactose intolerant, but still want to have strong bones and teeth. Those who prefer a vegan diet can benefit from it as a good source of protein and fatty acids.

When coconut oil was first taken to the U.S., there was a lot of negative hype about it because it contains high levels of saturated fat. People were concerned that it increased cholesterol and contributed to heart disease—but this is a myth. It actually lowers cholesterol and reduces the chances of heart disease. This is because its fat content is simply changed into energy, lessening the likelihood of fat buildup in the arteries and heart.

5  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Are Men More Romantic Than Women? on: 18-06-2013 12:25 PM
What do we notice first about a person? Their looks, naturally. And sure, we can get blind-sighted by someone's beauty. So does that mean that love at first sight is real? Apparently, the guys seem to think so.
That's because a new study claims that men are more romantic than women. Of the people surveyed, 48 percent of guys tend to fall in love at first sight compared to 28 percent of women. But you have to wonder: is this really love at first sight ... or lust at first sight?

I wouldn’t know if anything is really wrong with this photos but I was surprised when a Ghanaian model, name withheld recently condemned it saying it is trash and not up to an international standard. I keep wondering if Ghanaian models can do better than this. Kindly rate this photo, based on your own personal opinion. Be honest please.

16  Forum / The Buzz Central / HELP: Should I Hell My Husband About My Adultery? on: 10-06-2013 02:31 PM
I have been married for seven years. The first five years were wonderful. Then I started hanging out with an ungodly crowd, and I ashamed to say I cheated on my husband. I didn't sleep with any men, but I did fool around with several. I confessed this to my husband and he forgave me.

Then I met a Christian man who was very much like me, I fell in love with him, and we did have sex twice. He's married also. We realize what we have done is wrong and have both asked God to forgive us; however, we haven't told our spouses -- should we? I'm afraid if I tell my husband he won't forgive me this time.

Also I'm afraid if I do tell him he'll figure out who the man I cheated with is, thereby possibly destroying his marriage. There are two innocent spouses here who would be terribly hurt if we confessed to them. I feel it is better to ask God's forgiveness and repent, but I also feel terribly guilty keeping this secret. What do you think I should do? Please help me out… your comment and advice will be highly appreciated.
