82  Forum / The Buzz Central / Why Men Has More Advantages Of Cheating on: 15-04-2013 04:04 PM
People always ask me, “Why when a man cheats or has a lot of women, he gets respect, but when a woman does it, she’s called a wh*re”. My short answer is usually something like, “because that’s the world we live in”. The following is my long answer.

It is way easier for the average woman to have sex with a lot of men than it is for the average guy to have sex with a lot of women. On any given Sunday, a chick could make a few phone calls and have at least one guy ready and willing to be at her place within an hour for some action. Of course there are outliers, but on average this is the case. So if a woman takes advantage of this “power”, she gets called a name, which is what we do to people who take advantage of their power, we call them names. In all cases name calling is wrong, but it happens.

On the other hand, this feat of making a cold call and getting someone to come over within the hour is nearly impossible for the average guy. Again, there are outliers, but on average, it’s not going to happen. A guy has to work for it a little more, spend a little more, and (unfortunately) lie a little more to reach a similar result. It becomes a full time job for him. Guys who have acquired the skill of attracting and juggling multiple women, gains approval from their peers because it is not something the average man can do. In general, we look up to above average people and strive to be like them.

That was my long answer. Here is my medium length answer: “Women get called wh*re (and more nasty names) for doing the same thing that men do because they possess a great power and anyone who takes advantage of their power get called names.

84  Forum / The Buzz Central / Dentist Pulls Out Man's Whole Teeth Without Permission on: 15-04-2013 03:45 PM
Christopher Crist claims that he went into a dentist office to get a few painful teeth pulled. When he walked out, he had none.

The 21-year-old Indiana man, who is autistic, told Fox 59 that his mom sent him to Amazing Family Dental in Indianapolis to get three of his teeth removed. But instead of ending the procedure with three pulled teeth, the dentist kept going, Crist says.

"They pulled every last one of them," he told the station. "I am going to look like a freak now."

He says the gruesome operation began after the dentist gave him some pills to ease the pain of the procedure, WTVR reports. His mother had given him strict instructions to ask that three teeth be pulled. It's unclear when the mixup occurred.

Crist was admitted to a hospital where he's reportedly battling an infection due to the dentistry debacle. He and his mother plan to sue the dentist -- who wasn't named because no legal action has yet been taken -- and have witnesses to back them up.

Sheena Cortez says she was in the exam room adjacent to Crist at the time of the procedure. She said she was in disbelief and that Crist's face "looked scary."

In addition, Fox News tracked down several other people who claimed that the office pulled more teeth than requested. Rose Hill says she visited the office when one tooth was bothering her, yet the dentist pulled her entire bottom row of teeth out.

Reporters were turned away when they visited Amazing Family Dental, and claim that workers there called the police on them.

85  Forum / The Buzz Central / 20 Women Raped, Police Van Burnt As Hoodlums Invade Town In Delta on: 15-04-2013 03:41 PM
There is apprehension in Agbarha-Otor kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State following a reign of terror unleashed on the people by hoodlums in the last few days.

The Area Commander, Ughelli, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Awosola Awotinde confirmed to Saturday Vanguard that 34 persons were in police net in connection with the orgy of violence.

It was gathered that no fewer than 20 women and girls, including an eight-year-old daughter of the Vicar of an Anglican church in the community were raped by the hooligans, who also set ablaze a police patrol vehicle.

A number of police officers were, at the outset, sent to the palace of the monarch of Agbarha-Otor, His Royal Majesty Richard Oghenevwogaga, Ebelle-Okorefe I, to secure the king’s abode following a breakdown of law and order in the community, Wednesday night, but rampaging hoodlums overpowered them.

At press time, last night, the monarch has relocated from the palace for safety reason, while the Area Commander, Ughelli, has reinforced security in the town. Saturday Vanguard also sighted soldiers in the troubled community.

The hooligans, numbering about 100 were angry that the monarch refused to participate in the traditional “Ekene” festival on grounds that he is a Christian.

According to our source, “they wanted the king to make sacrifice to the deity, but he refused, saying he is a Christian and they should go ahead without him contributing money or cooking for them during the feast, as some of the priests and chiefs demanded.

“His refusal to take part in the feast infuriated the hooligans, who vowed to foment trouble and they executed their mission on Wednesday, the last day of the feast. The unfortunate thing is that some chiefs even supported their rebellion,” he added.

Saturday Vanguard learnt that hoodlums allegedly expelled from the community because of their criminal escapades, started with the clergyman because it was in his church that the king held a thanksgiving service recently.

Besides molesting the  clergyman’s eight-year-old daughter, hospitalized because of the incident and other girls, they also hijacked the property of people, claiming that the deity wanted them.

A community leader said, the miscreants engaged in molesting of women (married and single) since the festival, which is held once every 15 years started on 27th of March. It took a worrisome dimension Wednesday night as they invaded the Church’s vicarage, destroyed and looted properties worth  thousands of naira after making the vicar and his households undergo some inhuman treatments.”

According to our source, “on their way from the vicarage, they invaded the shop of the Queen Mother of Agbarha-Otor and raided her shop; they stole wines and practically every other thing in the shop and also vandalized the freezer.”

91  Forum / The Buzz Central / Ogun Orphanage: Owner Started molesting Me At 10 — Victim on: 14-04-2013 08:28 PM
Female inmates at the Light of Hope Orphanage describe how the owner of the orphanage allegedly raped them repeatedly.  From the outside, the Light of Hope Orphanage in Akute area of Ogun State looks like every other orphange. The facility which was founded in 1996 by Mr. Olatayo Atunde receives donations from multinational companies, non-governmental organisations, and other concerned members of the public. The orphanage, also has a nursery and primary school within the premises. However, recent segxwal allegations by some of the female inmates seem to have shattered the positive image the orphanage once enjoyed. It all started when two young girls from the home told their secondary school teacher that they were raped by Atunde, who runs the facility. One of the orphans 14-year-old Atinuke (not real name) said Atunde, popularly referred to as, daddy, by the inmates, slept with her and many other girls at the orphanage.

Atinuke, who is now in custody of an NGO, Project Alert on Violence Against Women, said she lost her virginity to Atunde at the age of 10 and has lost count of the number of times he has had sex with her. She said, “Daddy started sleeping with me when I was 10. I have two blood brothers at the orphanage who I reported to but they have not been able to do anything about it. On one occasion, when he was sleeping with me, I ran into another room but he chased me and warned me never to run away from him again. “I also reported the matter to the orphanage administrator, Aunty Hannah, and she said she would address the matter but daddy continued to rape me. Daddy usually raped us around 2am in his room. His wife does not always sleep in his room. She sleeps at the crèche where the younger orphans are staying.”

Atunde was also alleged to have sacked one of the employees at the orphanage that dared to challenge him. Another orphan, Salewa (not real name), told SUNDAY PUNCH that she was barely 12 when Atunde started having segxwal relations with her. She said she had a sister at the orphanage who was in the university. She added that she had caught Atunde having sex with another orphan. “Daddy has been having sex with at least 10 of us. We are mostly between the ages of 8 and 14. I reported to Aunty Hannah and when she challenged daddy, he laid a curse on me,” she said.

The PUNCH had reported that at the instance of Project Alert, the police at Zone 2 Command had begun investigations into the matter and had arrested Atunde, who was later released on bail. Our correspondent, who visited the orphanage at No 2, Tunde Senbanjo Street, Akute, observed that the orphanage was deserted and the gate was locked. Neighbours told SUNDAY PUNCH that Atunde had relocated some orphans to different locations. A resident, who is an employee of the orphanage said, “After Atunde’s release, he hired some trucks to move the orphans to different locations so that if the state government shuts down the orphanage, he would still be able to operate directly or through a representative.

“Atunde receives donations from banks, multinationals, churches and other members of the public and the smartest thing for him to do right now, is to relocate the children and open another orphanage in a different name if possible, he said. “Most of the girls were relocated to another property within the area while others were taken to the Shangisha area of Lagos State. The police should not have granted him a bail.” The Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs said the orphanage was not properly registered. The Director, Social Welfare Services, Olumide Sotunbo, said although Atunde claimed that the orphanage was founded in 1996, the ministry only got to know about the home last year.

Sotunbo said the institution could not be described as an orphanage because orphanages were meant for orphans, but that investigations showed that many of the children had parents. He said, “In 2012, Atunde wrote us that he wanted to register his orphanage and in August, we gave him the requirements and told him if he could meet them in six months, we would approve the orphanage. Most times, when people come to us saying they want to register an orphanage, we try not to be too stern because if we do that, they may change location and you might not be able to contact them again.

“On March 14, 2013, we went to inspect 14 orphanages and Hope Orphanage was the only one whose records were not intact. Atunde claimed some of the orphans were brought to him by churches and some of them had lost their mothers at childbirth but they have fathers. We learnt that some of the orphans have parents that gave them to Atunde willingly for unknown reasons and he accepted them. This is not how to run an orphanage.

“We then told him to go and get a police report stating this and we gave him three weeks to do this. It was while we were waiting for this that the allegation of segxwal assault came up.” The Director, Child Development at the ministry, Salimotu Otun, said the state governor, Ibikunle Amosun, had shown interest in the case. Director, Project Alert on Dr. Josephine Effa-Chukwuma, also said the matter would be pursued to a logical conclusion. Effa-Chukwuma, who stated that cases of rape had increased drastically in recent times, said the two girls had suffered psychological trauma and had been receiving daily counselling.

She berated the police for the manner with which it had carried out its investigations. “We were told that there are many other girls that have been defiled by Atunde and yet the police released him and allowed him to continue to run the place. That orphanage needs to be shut down,” she said. Atunde could not be reached on phone for his comments as it was switched off. However, the orphanage administrator, Hannah Atunde, who is Atunde’s daughter, said the allegations were baseless. She blamed Project Alert for initiating moves that would bring woes on the home.

Hannah said the children had not been relocated and that the home still operates normally. She said, “We were not aware of the allegation before daddy was arrested. After he was interrogated and released by the police, we tried to question the girls but Project Alert people took them away. “We believe that it is Project Alert that is spearheading this and hopefully, the truth shall come out. The orphanage is still being run and everything is going smoothly. I don’t believe any child was raped.”

Our correspondent learnt that the girls had been taken to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital for medical examination. Result of the tests carried out showed that the honeypotl hymens of the girls were no longer intact and that the victims have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease which requires urgent treatment. Effa-Chukwuma said since it had been established that the two girls were brought to the orphanage at the age of two, the orphanage must explain how they lost their virginity.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2, Femi Balogun, confirmed that investigations were ongoing. Balogun however said it was too soon to conclude if Atunde was culpable. Asked why Atunde was released on bail, he said, “The instruction given to us is that suspects should not spend more than 24 hours in detention and that was what we did. We do not have enough evidence to charge him to court yet but investigations are ongoing.”

Three female undergraduates of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State, who were declared missing have been sighted in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates(UAE), PREMIUM TIMES has learnt. The students, Omoeneme Maureen, Ajao Aminat Romoke and Oludegun Morufat Olayinka, have been missing from the school for several weeks, and had become a source of worry for the college management and their parents.

The school authorities and the families of the three100 level French students, had searched various parts of the state including various accidents scenes and mortuaries during the search for the students. There had also been rumours that ritualists might have kidnapped and used the ladies for ulterior actions. One of the girls eventually made contact and told a search party that they were in Dubai to seek greener pastures.

When contacted, the Registrar of the College, Tunji Kanimodo, confirmed the story, adding that the students’ action was amazing. Mr. Kanimodo told PREMIUM TIMES that the police had been informed that the girls were in the United Arab Emirates. He said the students had paid their fees and registered for the ongoing academic session before they went missing; and the school authorities would wait for appropriate action by the police before it takes further actions.

I'm sure these celebrities will be wondering how I know this. Hehe. It was done very codedly through out last week...but like I always say, I have peeps everywhere...lol.

So here's the scoop. Lynxxx, Omawumi, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, MI, Bez, Naeto C, Chidynma (The Voice), and Lagbaja will soon be announced as the new ambassadors for telecoms giant, Globacom. The music stars or their reps met with the management of Glo at the conference room of Eko Hotel from Monday to Friday last week.

According to the inside gist I gathered, Glo is planning to cut down on the number of old Nollywood stars who are currently their ambassadors (I know some of the ones that will be dropped but let me not announce it here because they are yet to informed), and replace them with young, vibrant music stars. I hear the next phase will be comedians.

The new ambassadors have been interviewed, they have also negotiated the cost of engagement for a period of two years (They each will be getting between N10m/N20m annually). They have also agreed to terms and conditions for the engagement.

The stars are waiting for the official announcement after which they will all pick up their cheques. Good for them! Oh and remember; you read it here first! *wink*

99  Forum / The Buzz Central / Nigerian Couple Reunited After 10 Years And Both Died 24hours Later on: 13-04-2013 12:24 PM
The story of Romeo and Juliet is read by many and taken for granted as just another story, a fairy tale. But, your heart will melt when you hear one of the most shocking stories of the tragic accident involving a Young Shall Grow luxurious bus and a Dangote cement truck, the story of Nneka and Kenneth Ojielo, a couple who died in the accident. Theirs is a story that will bring tears to many eyes because Kenneth had not seen his wife in the last 10 years until Thursday, the day before they both perished in the explosion.
“My sister travelled to Lagos from Enugu on Wednesday. On Thursday, I took her to the airport to welcome her husband. No one could separate them when Kenneth eventually came out with his luggage. They kissed for about 15 minutes and everybody around just stood watching.”

Nneka’s younger brother, Ogonna Abako, told Punch that “Kenneth travelled to Austria in 2003 in search of greener pastures. Before he left, they already had five children. Their eldest child is 21.

“They actually got married very early. Kenneth was 26 years old when they got married while my sister was about 20 years old at the time. Everybody was joyous when we heard he was coming home.”

A picture of the joyous reunion taken by Ogonna’s wife on her mobile phone at the airport showed a couple with much happiness written all over their faces.

But that joy was short-lived.
On Friday, they decided to travel to Enugu. Kenneth wanted to meet his children as soon as possible. The children too were ecstatic in Enugu as they kept calling, asking their father, whom they had not seen in the last 10 years, to get home on time.

Ogonna said, “I drove my sister and her husband to a hotel and lodged them there. The following day, I woke up early to take them to the bus park. We got to Jibowu and realised that the Ekene bus they wanted to take had already left.

“I wanted them to take a smaller bus, but Kenneth insisted he would rather board the luxury bus.”

The couple held hands in the bus and prayed for journey mercies as Ogonna bid them farewell, not knowing it was for the last time. He said he called his sister’s phone at 3pm but it did not connect. He thought there was at network problem.

“When it was 6pm, my sister’s eldest child called and said she had not seen her parents. I then asked my brother to go to the Young Shall Grow park in Enugu. He was told there that only two of the company’s buses took off from Lagos that day, one from Maza Maza and one from Jibowu.

“Many families were waiting for their relations at the park too. The bus that took off from Maza Maza got to the park and that was when the passengers broke the news of the accident to waiting families. Those children will never see their father and mother again,” Abako said as he dabbed at his teary eyes.

Worse is the fact that their bodies cannot be claimed by their family members for burial as they were burnt beyond recognition and were therefore given a mass burial on Tuesday in Benin.
What a sad way to end their journey…all the 10 years hustle of the husband gone. So sad!
