4  Forum / Health / UPDATE! Varsity Strike: ASUU rejects new deal with government on: 26-07-2013 12:21 PM
Efforts to resolve the strike by Nigeria’s Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), may take a longer time as the union on has rejected Federal Government’s plan to re-negotiate their 2009 Agreement. The Chairman of UNN-ASUU, Dr Ifeanyi Abada, made this position known while briefing newsmen in Nsukka after a congress attended by some national and zonal officers.

Abada explained that the union took this stand because government did not sign the agreement under duress He said UNN-ASUU and other chapters of the union nationwide were determined to withdraw their services until the federal government implemented the agreement. ASUU cannot be cajoled by any unbridled campaign or blackmail as being paddled by some federal government’s officials.

“The union is worried by the insincerity of government and condemns this perfidy in its entirety’’, he said. Abada said ASUU was also demanding the removal of Prof. Julius Okogie, the NUC Secretary, for fanning the embers of hatred against members of the union. Okogie, who is supposed to mediate between ASUU and government, had regrettably morphed into another political valve through which universities were further demeaned and derailed.

“Okogie should be invited by government to account for over N100 billion Universities Stabilisation Fund. He has demonstrated that he has outlived his usefulness and bereft of innovative ideas and aptitude to turn universities around’’, he said. He called on education stakeholders, the clergy and traditional rulers to prevail on government to respect the 2009 agreement it entered with ASUU to improve standards in tertiary institutions. We are not asking for government to fill our pockets with money, but that universities should be well funded.

“It is unfortunate that students in some universities take lectures in open spaces and in stadiums like in UNN. We are tired of producing half-baked graduates because of ill-equipped libraries, laboratories and lack of classrooms, while some politicians squander money meant to develop the country’’, he said.Former UNN-ASUU chairman, Prof. Aloysius Okolie, decried government’s inability to allocate 26 per cent of its annual budget to education

He explained that that was the minimum percentage as recommended by UNESCO.This is an indication that government does not care about the quality of education in the country. Government should consider the future of Nigerian students and fulfill its own part of agreement it reached with ASUU “It is noteworthy that war torn Somalia and other smaller countries of the world who value education allocate above 26 per cent to education’’, he said.

Dr Chide Osuagwu, Zonal Coordinator, ASUU Nsukka Zone, comprising UNN, UNiZIK, ESUT, Anambra State University and Ebony State University, said ASUU had exercised enough patience since 2009. ASUU will not attend any re-negotiating meeting called by government. If government had known it cannot implement the agreement, why did it sign it?’’ About 200 lecturers attended the UNN-ASUU congress, which lasted for several hours See more at: http://houseretailnews.blogspot.com/

Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State has asked a Rivers State High Court, sitting in Port Harcourt, to restrain the Chief Judge of the state from constituting any panel to investigate any notice of allegation presented by the House of Assembly, except the request is in compliance with sub-sections 2, 3 and 4 of Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended. Counsel to Amaechi, Chief Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) in the suit, is praying the court to, among other things, set aside any attempt by less than 22 members out of the 32-member House to initiate an impeachment proceeding against him.

He is also praying for “an order of this court setting aside any notice of allegation to initiate the removal proceedings of the state Assembly, conducted in connection with the conceived removal from office of the claimant by less than 22 members out of the 32 members constituting the state Assembly.”

He is also asking the court to declare as unconstitutional, any proceedings for his removal that may be conducted outside the “Rivers State House of  Assembly/Parliament building situate on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, which is the official address of the state Assembly for the conduct of the official and legislative duties of the House as unconstitutional, null and void and of no effect whatsoever

He is also asking for a declaration that any proceedings of the state House of Assembly, initiated by less than 11 member, which is one third of members of the House and passed or conducted by less than 21 out of the 30 members of the House, which is two third of the members of the House in connection or in relation to the commencement of impeachment proceedings against the claimant are unconstitutional, null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
Counsel to the five anti-Governor Amaechi lawmakers, Mr Emanuel Ukala (SAN) applied to be joined in the suit, but same was opposed by Mr. Olusola Dare, who represented Fagbemi ( SAN).

Trial judge, Justice George Omereji adjourned the matter till July 30, for hearing of the joinder application.  See more at: http://houseretailnews.blogspot.com

Three teenagers and a 20-year-old man, Yusuf Lateef, have been arraigned before a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere, on a three-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery.

According to the charge, the teenagers, Jamiu Saka, 18, Chukwudi Onwuharanye, 18, David Onokpise, 19, and Lateef entered a church during a vigil service and robbed people of their valuables.
The defendants were said to have robbed the General Overseer of the church, Apostle Nelson Opara, of his handset and money, and one Okon Esther was dispossessed of two Visafone and one Blackberry Curve 3, during the vigil service.

Count one of the charge reads: “Jamiu Saka, Yusuf Lateef, Chukwudi Onwuharanye, and David Onokpise, on 19 May, 2012, at Sowers Ministry International No. 64A Kirikiri Road, Olodi Apapa, Lagos State, in the Lagos Division conspired to commit felony to wit: armed robbery.”
All the defendants live in Ajegunle and had the charge read to them in English and Yoruba languages.
The pleas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants were taken in English language, while that of the 4th defendant was taken in Yoruba.   They pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them by the State of Lagos.

The prosecutor, Mr O. Soetan, informed the court that the alleged offence was contrary to Section 295 (2) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.   He therefore asked the court for a trial date to enable his witness to be in the dock for his evidence, stressing that he had agreed with the defence counsel on 29th and 30th of September.
8  Forum / Law and Crime / C-a-l-l-o-u-s: Woman allegedly beats maid to death in Lagos! on: 24-07-2013 04:27 PM
The deceased identified as Angelina, was reportedly taken from her parents in far away Ogoja, Cross River state by Agnes, with a promise to send her to school, when she was barely four years old. Angelina, grew up calling her guardian mother, apparently unaware she was not her biological mother.
But things as gathered, fell apart for  late Angelina after she turned 6, as she was reportedly made to carry out overwhelming house chores. Initial rebuff of such attitude from madam Rose who crime Alert learnt is related to Angelina’s mother, by neighbour was reportedly greeted with an outburst.
The dehumanising treatment on Angelina reached its peak last Friday, as she was reportedly beaten to death by her madam, for failure to carry out  chores as instructed.

Investigation by Crime Alert revealed that on that fateful day, at about 5pm, Madam Agnes returned home screaming at the little girl whom neighbours said  was not feeling too well.  Madam Agnes reportAedly dragged Angelina into her apartment located on 75 Barracks lllane, Ajegunle and started beating her. The helpless girl was said to have shouted for help. But none was forth coming. Then, all of a sudden she seized crying.

Neighbours later became apprehensive after they sighted madam Agnes rush out of her room to a medicine store opposite the building. She reportedly came back with a nurse who went inside with her and rushed out again to get something.

At this point, a neighbour told Crime Alert during a visit at the building yesterday that “ we suspected all was not well. When the nurse came out , we asked what the problem was and she told us that Angelina had fainted.   We all rushed inside, only to behold Angelina’s lifeless body on the ground.
On further observation, we discovered a pestle by the side with  blood stain and we concluded she could have used it on Angelina”.

Another neighbour who also spoke on condition of anonymity said, “ We are not surprised  at  Angelina’s demise because madam Agnes had always threatened. At the slightest provocation, she would beat her with any object at her disposal. At times she would smash bottle on her head and  at other times, she would use a stool on her. At a point we got angry but there was nothing we could do to alert Angelina’s  biological  parents”.

Asked why none of them bothered to report the abuse on Angelina to the Police, another neighbour replied, “ Police? You want madam Agnes to fight you? Even if you attempt to rescue Angelina from her grip whenever she was being beaten,  Agnes  would fight you and ask if you  were  her relative.
At a point, she resorted to locking the doors whenever she wanted to beat the girl, in order to prevent anyone from coming to her rescue”.

Everyone who spoke with Crime Alert described the late Angelina as a dutiful girl who never complained while carrying out any of the house chores. At times she reportedly missed schools in order to finish the chores before the arrival of her guardian. Most times neighbours said she would be made to finish the chores before taking her first meal  either at  noon or evening.
“Saturdays were the most hectic for the little girl as she would be made to wash her guardians clothes and those of her two grown  children”.
9  Forum / Health / NLC Threatens To Join ASUU Strike on: 24-07-2013 03:57 PM
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has threatened to join the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, in solidarity strike if the Federal Government failed to address the ASUU demands. NLC President, Abdulwaheed Omar, made the threat at the opening ceremony of the “2013 Rain School” in Uyo.
“We call on the Federal Government to have meaningful dialogue with ASUU with a view to implementing the agreement.

“The state governments should equally obey the law and pay minimum wage to teachers and the local government workers as well as the 27.5 per cent teacher’s enhanced salaries.

“Should these strikes persist, workers of Nigeria will not hesitate to join them in solidarity,” he stressed.Omar said the modules of the rain school were designed to train members of affiliate unions and state councils of the NLC. This is in order to equip them with necessary skills to empower and protect their rights at workplace.” He said that the theme of the 2013 Rain School was imperative due to the obvious violation of workers’ rights in the workplace and in the larger society.
The Akwa Ibom Chairman of NLC, Mr Unyime Usoro, commended the leadership of the congress for keeping to its promise on making Uyo the permanent host of the school.

“On our own part, we intend to ensure that the standards set five years ago that led to the permanent hosting right is not lowered.
“It is significant to note that the government of Akwa Ibom has graciously approved the building of the permanent block for Rain Schools here in Uyo to gather for the training needs of the union leaders across the nation,” he said. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that the theme of the occasion was: “Strengthening the trade Union for Defence of Workers’ Rights.”- See more at: http://houseretailnews.blogspot.com/

12  Forum / Health / Female Bankers Turn ‘Sex Slaves’ In Ghana, [Watch Video] on: 23-07-2013 10:09 PM
Business Guide has reported on a shocking issue which I think should be looked at on here as well. As much as it is a shocking story and situation, I will like to point out some few things first before we all say our mind or begin to pour out the rants…

This story was reported by Felix Dela, the guy who brought us the “McDonalds Coming To Ghana In 2011” story which the person he claimed to have interviewed and working to bring the world fast food giant to Ghana (Seth-El) wrote to GC days later to deny ever having such an interview with him.

Why am I pointing this out? This should caution you about the credibility of the Felix’s writing. I am not in support of corporate prostitution but mind the reporter; he has done it before…

Anyway, the story below is a sad one which throws several questions out. Where is the respect of our corporate entities when it comes to their staff? Why are corporations taking their staff for granted in other to maximize profit?

It is good to enlighten yourself with what is really happening in our country Ghana when it comes to work and others. This may answer why some young graduates are still suffering abroad and do not have the intention to consider even going to Ghana to work.

I know of several young women who have finished their degrees abroad and do not want to even think of going to Ghana to work though they are struggling outside. If this is what is really happening, why would a young girl who has just finished her education come down there to work?

…………………………………………………………………………………………………

Some reputable banks in Ghana are allegedly turning their female bankers into ‘prostitutes’ in their drive for aggressive deposit mobilization, Business Guide has gathered.

All banks in Ghana expect their employees to bring customers each month to save with them, but interestingly the same banks regularly set unrealistic targets with stiff deadlines for the employees to meet, leaving them with no options than doing the ‘unthinkable.’

These targets range between GH¢30,000 and GH¢50,000 per employee per month, a situation that has generated an aggressive competition.

Business Guide has gathered information which suggests that some notable banks have by convention, accepted ‘sex trade’ between their staff and prominent personalities so they could win them as clients.

Miss Rita Araba (not her real name) is a young, educated and beautiful lady. She is 25 years old and any man’s dream girl. She enjoys a mouth-watering salary and welfare package, dresses well, rides one of the best and latest ranges of automobiles and the envy of her less endowed and less privileged peers.

Regrettably, Araba recently had to resign from one of the oldest and reputable banks in Ghana as Marketing Executive because she could not withstand the pressure from her employers to warm the bed of a multi-millionaire potential client. The target she must meet, either by hook or by crook, was not directly to sleep with any man, but certainly the package of her job included ‘going all out’ to get the men, even if to date them, irrespective of their ages.

“That is what my job entails. I travel the length and breadth of the country, even on short notice. Sometimes, I and some of my female co-workers have to travel with a client outside the country. Most people envy us but they do not know what we go through. It is dehumanising, it is traumatic,” she told Business Guide in an exclusive interview in Accra recently.

But Araba is not alone in this ‘sex business’ as her story represents the ordeal of several other female bankers who are coerced into engaging in segxwal escapades to break the bar to meet unrealistic goals.

“I know of countless female bankers, young and old, who are ‘forced’ to use their bodies to generate funds for their employers,” she confessed.

Another victim of this canker, who works in a bank in Kumasi, said: “I am doing it for a living. I cannot talk to you in details, Mr. Journalist because my boss would suspect me when the story is out and I would be fired period.”

Interestingly, a number of bankers Business Guide spoke to deny the practice of what is being referred to as ‘corporate prostitution’ but one of them who wanted to remain anonymous, admitted it exists in the corporate world, adding that, nobody in the corporate environment will practically admit it.

“We have witnessed a situation where a female bank employee was given a job in January and by March was expected to meet a target of over GH¢50,000” the source said, noting that realistic target per employee per month should be around GH¢6,000.

It is therefore no longer surprising dozens of women are seen everyday parading the corridors of offices knocking on doors, and once let in, some would begin to weep, begging for help to meet their target or they will get sacked, he added.

The banker blamed the development on what they called Monthly Performance Report (MPR), whereby a banker is called by the board and told to account for everything he or she has done so far.
“And for a young lady who was given a target of over GH¢30,000 a month, she would want to impress for the sake of her job. If such a lady could not meet the target and has nobody or connection, she would be humiliated, especially with all sorts of questions and executive comments being passed on her. She is also rated based on the target she is given, so she would be under pressure. So for a lady who does not have the fear of God in her, she would succumb,” the banker said.

According to him, the bank manager would never tell a female banker to become a sex slave to a customer but by action and character, the insinuations are glaring.

“But the lady is mature enough to know what is right because it is believed that anybody that works in a corporate organisation is an adult,” he stated, advising that there were many ways to meet targets without going into that.

He said money could be sourced from financial institutions, pension fund managers, real businessmen, clubs, insurance houses and churches, among others. He observed that ladies engaged in corporate prostitution were those who saw nothing wrong with that habit.

“Most organisations are known for using cute and elegant ladies as secretaries, customer service attendants, knowing fully well that putting gorgeous ladies in the forefront of any organisation tends to cheer up customers,” the source said, stressing that when it comes to marketing, it does not matter whether a lady is beautiful or not, it is the skill and expertise that matter most.

Another source, who also would not want her name mentioned, sees it from a different point of view. She thinks bank managers are not to be blamed because they are also under pressure to increase cash deposits. According to her, such pressure usually comes from the board to the managing director who passes it down the ladder to the business development officers commonly known as marketers who are the ‘foot soldiers’ interacting with customers to bring in deposits.

“Most CEOs of these banks were in a hurry to respect the prudential guidelines, credit administration procedures and professional ethics. Their focus was aggressive deposit mobilization using our poor and in most cases, innocent ladies as baits.”

“Recent reports revealed that less than 20 percent of Ghanaians still save with banks so the 26 banks operating in the country have to struggle to get their portion of this percentage,” the source noted.

She disclosed that from her experience and observation, ladies that indulged in ‘corporate prostitution’ ended up inflicting pains on themselves. They either contacted diseases, unable to settle down and marry or they ended up with a broken marriage, she explained Watch Video at: http://houseretailnews.blogspot.com

14  Forum / Relationships & Romance / How to Make Your Girlfriend To Want To Make Love With You on: 22-07-2013 10:08 PM
You've been dating your girlfriend for a while and are ready to made love. You're pretty sure that she's ready, but you want to know how to make her want you without pressuring her or coming on too strong. If you want to make your girlfriend want to made love with you, you have to first make sure she's ready. Then, you can build her trust, treat her well, and turn her on to get her in the mood and mindset for having sex with you. If you want to know how to make your girlfriend want to made love with you, just follow these steps.

Be dependable. If you want to make your girlfriend want to made love with you, then you should show her what an amazingly dependable guy you are. If your girl is going to trust you enough to made love with you, whether it's her first time or if she's had sex before, then she has to feel like she can depend on you. One of her fears may be that as soon as you made love, she won't be able to rely on you anymore because you would have gotten what you wanted. So, prove her wrong by being an upstanding and dependable guy.

Show up when you say you're going to show up. If you routinely pick her up half an hour late for your dates, she'll think that you don't think she's so special, and she'll be less likely to made love with you.
Don't be a flake. If you say you're going to take her to the beach over the weekend, do it. If you don't stick to your word, she won't be able to trust you.
Be her rock. Let her talk to you about her problems and insecurities while knowing that you can make her feel better.
Don't go hours or even a day or two without returning her phone calls or texts. This will make her feel like she can't depend on you.
2Give it time. Some guys can be ready to made love with a girl in the time it takes to down a beer, while some girls can take months, or even longer, to decide that they're ready to make love. And some girls -- sorry, gentlemen -- are really adamant about holding out for the one, and don't even want to made love before marriage. So, don't rush into it -- wait for the girl to trust you first.
If your girl is barely comfortable with kissing, then you shouldn't bring up the "s-word" for a while.
However, if you and your girlfriend are already comfortable hooking up in bed all the time after just a few weeks, then you can start thinking about taking it to the next level.
If you want to make your girlfriend want to made love with you, the worst thing you can do is bring it up or try to force it when it's way too early. This will turn your girlfriend off and will make her much less likely to sleep with you.
3Don't act like you're obsessed with sex. Let's face it -- if you're a male of a certain age who is desperate for his girlfriend to made love with him, then you probably are obsessed with sex. But that doesn't mean you have to make jokes, innuendos, or even blatant references to sex all the time. The last thing you want your girlfriend to think is that you're a horndog who is so obsessed with sex that you don't care which lady comes into your bed. You should make her feel special, like you want only her.
You don't have to hide the fact that you're a man with needs, but you should avoid being vulgar, talking about sex all the time, or talking about other people who made love all the time.
Don't make derogatory comments about other women. This will make your girlfriend feel like a piece of meat. Remember that you're not with your bros, but with your special lady.
4Be loyal. If you want to make your girlfriend trust you, then you have to be loyal to her. She'll never made love with you if she thinks you're talking to or checking out other women, or even hanging out with other women. Though you don't have to be rude to or ignore other women, you should have a laser-sharp focus on your girlfriend so she knows that you will always be there for her, especially after you start having sex.
Spend lots of time with her. Make sure that you plan at least one or two dates every week, and that you check in with her at least once a day if you're not together.
There's a difference between being loyal and being possessive and smothering your girlfriend with affection. You should make a point of seeing her when you both want to hang out, but don't try to see her 24/7 or she'll begin to pull back.
You should not only show your girl that you're loyal by being loyal to her, but by showing that you're a loyal sibling, friend, and teammate. Show loyalty in many aspects of your life and your girl will be impressed.
Treat Her Well

1   Treat her like a lady. If you want your girlfriend to made love with you, then you should treat her like a lady, not just like someone you want to hook up with. To do this, you have to be a gentleman and be courteous, kind, understanding, and generally admirable. Open doors for her, give her your coat when she's cold, pull out chairs for her, and help her carry her heavy bags.
Make sure to compliment her to let her know how great she looks or how special she is.
It's important to be a gentleman, but don't do anything that feels too unnatural to you, or she'll be able to tell that you're not being yourself.
2    Clean your home. This may sound silly, but if you want your girlfriend to really feel special, then you shouldn't invite her to hang out at your place if it looks like the set for World War Z. You need to make sure to remove any dirty laundry off your floor, clean your counters, and make your bed look and smell as clean and inviting as possible.
Not only will this make your lady feel special, but it'll make her feel more inclined to made love with you. She won't want to get it on if your bed is covered in candy wrappers and dirty underwear.
If you drive her around a lot, you should also keep a clean car. Give your lady the respect she deserves by making sure she has a clean seat.
3   Show an interest in all of her -- not just her body. Your girl's biggest fear may be that you don't care at all about her mind because you're too busy obsessing over her body. So, you have to prove her wrong. Show her that you are about who she is as a person, about her hopes and dreams, and about what makes her tick.
Ask her about her friendships, her childhood, and her favorite experiences.
Show her that you value her opinion. Ask her what she thinks about the current political situation in your state, or about the state of your new outfit.
Make eye contact when you talk to her. Show her that everything she says is important to you.
4   Take her out on romantic dates. If you want to build the segxwal tension, you have to build the romance first. Make her feel special by taking her out, dressing up, and picking a romantic spot for dinner, a drink, or even just for stargazing. You don't have to do anything corny or out of your element to make her feel special.
Though you and your lady can have fun at baseball games, birthday parties, or at a loud, sweaty concert, these events will be less conducive to lovemaking.
Doing something romantic once in a while will show your lady that she really matters to you.
5   Be attentive to her needs. If you're not attentive to your lady's everyday needs, then how will you be attentive in the bedroom? Your girl needs to feel like you know when she's sad, nervous, anxious, or even just cold or hungry. Pay attention to her eyes, her body language, and her words to know if there's something bothering her. If you act completely oblivious when she's obviously upset about something, then she'll think you're not really paying attention to her.
If something's wrong, don't be afraid to ask her what's up. This will only show that you care.
6  Make sure she's ready to made love. If you really want to treat your lady well, then you have to be able to have an idea about whether or not she's ready for sex. If you're her first boyfriend, if she's segxwally inexperienced, or if she's deeply religious or has other moral convictions that make her steadfast about not having sex, then you should back off and wait for her to trust you enough to even consider having sex with you. But here are some ways to know if she does want to made love with you:
If things have been getting hot and heavy in the hook up department, then she may be ready to move forward.
If she's been talking about sex, giving you segxwal compliments, and touching you a lot more, then she may be ready for sex.
If she's been hinting that she wants to sleep over, spends a lot of time in or near your bed, or invites you over late at night, then she may be ready for more intimacy.
If she has deep moral or religious convictions that make her not want to made love, don't try to force it. Accept that some girls will never made love until they're married, and that there's nothing you can do to change that.

Turn Her On

1  Be prepared. If you plan on trying to made love, or even talking about having sex with your girl, then you should be prepared with some condoms in case the mood strikes her. This doesn't mean that you should flash the condoms or make her feel uncomfortable, but it does mean that you should have some backup just in case things do go in a favorable direction.
If she wants to made love and you have to run out to the drug store for some condoms, this may make your first segxwal experience fall flat.
2  Set the mood. If you want your girl to made love with you, then you have to set the mood. You should start the evening by doing something romantic to soften her up. Then, go back to your (clean) apartment, which should be stocked with red wine, grapes, chocolate, and some light jazz on the radio. Light the candles and turn the radio on to get her in a romantic mindset, and offer her something to eat or drink.
If this feels corny, you should only do what makes you both get in the mood. If you just want to dim the lights instead of lighting candles, then that's fine too.
3  Kiss her. If you want your girl to made love with you, then you have to be a master kisser. Even if you've been kissing for a while, you should still know how to kiss her in a variety of ways and make your kisses feel fresh. Don't overwhelm her and grope her the second you lock lips. Instead, take it slow, grazing your lips as you touch her hair or stroke her face.
Take breaks from kissing so she has time to come up for air and want you even more.
You are not very likely to made love with your girlfriend if all you've done is kiss. It takes a bit longer for things to reach a natural progression.
4  Play hard to get. If you really want to make your girlfriend want you, then you shouldn't act like a segxwal beast, moving rapidly from kissing to touching, to ripping off your clothes and practically levitating into the bedroom. Instead, you should kiss your girlfriend for a few seconds, then hold back, stroke her, and talk to her. Repeat this move a few times and wait for her to go wild.[1]
Why does playing hard to get work? Because this will make your girlfriend feel like you like her, but that you're in control of your desires and aren't desperate to get your hands all over her -- even if you are.
This move will make her want to be the one who asks for more.
5  Touch her. If you want to turn on your girlfriend, you can start thinking about doing more than just kissing. Begin by lightly caressing her arms, the back of her head and hair, and then, as things progress, stroke her Bosom s under her shirt or wait for her to touch you. If your clothes are off or partly off, you can kiss her Bosom s or touch her through her underwear to get her in the mood.
Just make sure that your actions are reciprocated -- if you're touching her and she just lies there and doesn't make noise or do anything, then you're probably making her uncomfortable. Make sure she's ready for more before you proceed.
If you're already in the bedroom and hooking up, then you can simply ask her if she's ready to made love with you. This doesn't have to be elaborate or corny -- just say, "Are you sure you're ready?" and be prepared for any answer.
6  Don't ever pressure her. If your girlfriend says she's not ready to made love with you, then you shouldn't pressure her. Don't try making any arguments -- saying things like, "But we've been together for so long," "Everyone else is doing it," or "But I really, really like you," isn't going to make her feel any better. In fact, trying to reason with her will only make her more frustrated, annoyed, and much less likely to sleep with you. - See more at: http://houseretailnews.blogspot.com/

16  Forum / Health / SSS II Student stabbed to death in Calabar on: 22-07-2013 05:29 AM
Tragedy struck at 13 Amphibious Brigade, Eburutu Barracks, Ikot Ansa in Calabar Municipality of Cross River State recently when the Labour Prefect of Army Day Secondary School, Boniface Odinakachukwu, 19, was stabbed to death for confiscating fellow student’s sandals.

Investigations revealed that Boniface, an SSS II student and an indigene of Onicha-Igboeze Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, met his untimely death penultimate week when his fellow SS II student, one Francis (surname withheld), allegedly hired a colleague, Godwin (surname also withheld), 20, to assist him in beating up the Prefect for daring to accost him (Francis) for improper dressing in school.
The late Boniface, it was learnt, was a stickler for discipline and therefore, ensured that students complied with the mode of dressing within the school premises.
And in carrying out his official functions, the Prefect had accosted Godwin, queried him on why he should fly his shirt’s collar and adorning a pair of sandals during school hours and as a punishment, the late Boniface allegedly confiscated  the sandals and handed over to one of the school masters, hoping to return them to him the following day as has always been the practice.
Francis, sources said, did not raise any eyebrow as he walked quietly to his class without showing any sign that he was annoyed or out to do anything funny over the seizure of his sandals.
But trouble started, when after school had closed at 3:00 pm, Francis and a few of the students alleged to be cultists including Godwin, a school drop-out, were unknowingly trailing him and subsequently attacked and killed him in the process.
An eyewitness said: “As we were going home after school hours, we noticed some funny movements by senior students as they clustered and were pointing at our Labour Prefect, accusing him of always embarrassing the students who don’t dress properly.
“The group of students numbering about five accosted Boniface finally and asked him why did he embarrass  the big boy, Francis and before he could utter a word, a fight ensued. At that time, Godwin just stepped forward, removed a dagger from his pocket and stabbed the Labour Prefect on the chest and he slumped and died instantly.”
On discovering that Boniface was dead, the boys fled, but were later arrested by the soldiers and handed over to the police.
Godwin, who hailed from Akwa Ibom State, is cooling off at the Diamond Hill state police command headquarters, Calabar where is being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
Police sources informed that Godwin had confessed that he was hired by his friend, Francis, to assist, asked him to recover a pair of sandals which Boniface had seized from him for allegedly dressing improperly.
The accused disclosed that Francis spotted the Labour Prefect for him from a distance and pointed at him and they went after him in a group.
Besides, Godwin who is a drop-out from Government Technical School Ikot Nsa, Calabar, had admitted that he got hold of the Labour Prefect from the back, and later stabbed him on the chest, saying he didn’t intend to kill him.
Francis was also said to have admitted that both of them laid ambush for the late Boniface at the school gate, waiting for the closing hour so that they could the deal with him. He said that it was not their intention to kill him, but to just harass him and collect the sandals.
Francis and Godwin, who are said to be close friends and live in the same block at Eburutu Barracks, would soon be charged to court as they have already admitted to killing the prefect.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Hogan Bassey, confirmed the incident to reporters in Calabar.
Reacting to Boniface’s death, his elder brother, Ikemefuna, said: “I don’t know why a fellow student should organize people to kill my younger brother just like that. It is very painful and a big loss to our family and we would not allow our brother’s killers to go free.
“What will I tell my parents that I took my brother from home alive and bubbling and now taking him home in a coffin? Why should it be so?”
Ikemefuna, who trades on GSM accessories, said: “Justice must be done by ensuring that those students are also killed so that others will learn from there. We will not accept any move to scuttle the prosecution of this matter because I have informed my community here in Calabar and Ebonyi. We will soon write to our state government to come to our aid so that this type of thing will not happen to our people again.”
He said, however, that once the police are through with the autopsy, they would write officially so that the body can be released for burial in his hometown.
Also speaking, the Ebonyi Development Association, Calabar branch’s spokesman, Chief Ogbonnaya Oka, said the community would soon decide on how to go about the killing of one of their sons.
Oka, who appealed to all Ebonyians to remain calm amid any provocation, said, “we will soon make our representations to Governor Liyel Imoke to ensure that we are given protection because Ebonyi people contribute positively to the economic development of the state,” adding that they would assist  the police in the prosecution of the accused. 19  Forum / Health / Fuji artiste, Obesere, opens up on relationship with boobs star, Cossy Orjiakor on: 20-07-2013 03:17 PM
But for Obesere, we probably would never have heard about boobs star, Cossy Orjiakor.

Fuji star and president of Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria (FUMAN), Abass Akande Obesere in a recent interview with daily times, talks about his relationship with her and how both of them met.

See excerpts below:

“We are still friends  It’s been long I saw her but I hear she is doing fine,” he says.

Now that she is a singer, would he do a collabo with her?

“That is if she still wants it. I remember then that when she came to Bayowa as a green horn in those days, she came to Bayowa and told him that she wanted to be a star. And Bayowa told her that, ‘you want to be a star? Don’t worry; I am doing one of Abbas’ new jobs. When we want to shooting the video, we will invite you. You have what people need to notice and recognize you as a star’. Today, the rest is history.”

The impression in town is that Cossy is lose and immoral. But Obesere was close to her those days and knew her personally. How would he describe her?

“All I would say is that Cossy is a good girl. All those things she does on stage are strictly showbiz. Off the stage she is a different person. Only those close to her know this. She could be very shy and reserved. But when she is on stage she is a tigress and that’s what makes her a professional.”  More Gist http://www.houseretailnews.blogspot.com
