Latest information reaching  from Abuja, the federal capital territory, are pretty sensational as sources within security circle say the embattled Major Hamza Al-Mustapha have been promoted to the rank of a Brigadier-General following "orders from above" on Monday night...

The Nigerian Army on Monday indicated that it would likely reinstate Major Al-Mustapha into the service following the dismissal of a murder suit against him. Col. John Agim, Chief of Staff in the Directorate of the Army Public Relations told reporters: “With regards to Mustapha’s release, well, I want to confirm that he is still in the army. The case is going to be handled by the Army administratively in line with the harmonized terms and conditions of service."

Al-Mustapha, the former Chief security Officer to former head of state, late Gen. Sani Abacha, regained his freedom on Friday after over 14 years in detention while standing trial for murder.

A Court of Appeal, sitting in Lagos, discharged and acquitted him over an alleged conspiracy and the murder of Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, on June 4, 1996.

The court had upturned a death sentence handed down on him on January 30, 2013, by Justice Mojisola Dada, of a Lagos High Court.

The former CSO on Sunday assured journalists that he is still in the Army during a reception in his honour by the Kano state government, a status he claimed as his right.

One of Ghana’s representatives at Big Brother Africa Season 8, Selly, was evicted days after the representative from Tanzania, Nando had accused her of giving him a segxwally Transmitted Infection (STI) when the two had unprotected sex in the house.

Nando is angry over the development and is openly talking about it to other housemates in the competition:

“You know I hate that bitch! I’m bleeping frustrated cos that bitch [Selly] gave me STD! That’s why my blood pressure was high yesterday,” he told Bimp, the representative from Ethiopia.
According to Nando, he wanted to use as a condom before having sex with Selly, but the Ghanaian lady said she wanted raw sex so he bonked her raw, completely unaware he would contract any disease. Reports say medical doctors are treating Nando for an STI called Chlamydiae. There is however no medical evidence yet that Nando contracted the infection from Selly.

But Nando is so angry that he has even confronted Selly over the matter and told her straight in the face that she had infected him with a segxwally transmitted disease. All Selly could do was to break down in tears and walk away when Nando demanded to know the last person she had sex with before their segxwal intercourse in the Big Brother House.

The raw sex between Selly and Nando became big news in Ghana because the lady is publicly known to be in an intimate relationship with hiplife musician Steven Fiawoo known in showbiz as Praye Tiatia of Praye fame. Praye Tiatia has not hidden his relationship with Selly and her mother has even stated publicly that Selly and the musician had stayed together for four years before she travelled to South Africa forthe Big Brother show.

What is not certain is whether Praye Tiatia would accept Selly back after the competitionconsidering what has happened between her and Nando. Meanwhile, Selly’s mother, Benedicta Galley, has told Peace Fm’s ‘Entertainment Review’ that she believes Nando had cast some sort of spell on her daughter because her Selly is a well-trained girl who has been dating only Praye Tiatia for over four years.

A video of the intercourse between Selly and Nando circulating on the internet showed the two kissing passionately in bed with their hands all over each other. At a point Nando’s head disappeared under the sheets while Selly kept winding her waist and making erotic moans.

Towards the end of the video, the Tanzanian was seen rocking his waist at Selly’s behind rhythmically under the sheets for over five minutes before leaving the bed to wash down. Several viewers, the world over, after watching the video of the ‘under bed sheet’ intercourse between Selly and Nando, concluded the two were having sex.

Even though Big Brother confirmed the act, Selly’s mother denied her daughter was bonked. She insisted that what happened under the sheets was not sex but just a playful game. “I don’t believe Selly had sex. Even Big Brother himself could not go under the blanket to see what really happened because I have seen several other male and female housemates who also were under the blanket doing the same thing, so you cannot determine that simply because a male and a female are under the blanket it means they are having sex,” Benedicta Galley told Peace Fm’s ‘Entertainment Review’ and said Selly is her only child.

Now that both Big Brother and Nando have confirmed that, indeed, what happened between the two was segxwal intercourse, suspense has gone high over what explanation Selly would give to Praye Tiatia on her return to Ghana.

As the nation's pop sensation, Wizkid, real names Ayo Balogun, is embroiled in a breach of contract scandal with some of his former high school mates, the aggrieved parties have exclusively revealed what he has been hiding the circumstances surrounding his expulsion from his secondary school- Ijebu Ode Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

According to reports, in a fit of pique following his attitude and denial before police authorities, the ex-schoolmates and organizers of the concert, Olumide Adewale and Adetunji ' Najia Child' Adedokun-Fernandez, have launched a 'cold war' against him revealing his ugly past.

The begrudged men revealed that it is not the first time Wizkid has been involved in such scam. They said that Wizkid was allegedly expelled from school for stealing school property.

When reached, Wizkid and EME publicist, denied all allegations. They explained that they did not take any money from anyone, and they issue of scam must have been done by impersonators.

If the news on Nationonline is anything to go by, then popular actress, Funke Akindele, might have separated from her husband, Kehinde Oloyede.

A statement allegedly posted by her husband on facebook reads:


Best Of Nollywood also reported that the jenifa star has changed her BlackBerry Messenger Display name from Mrs Funke Akindele Oloyede to Everyone loves Jenifa.

It would be recalled that the couple got married May last year. Coincidence? Was her husband's facebook account hacked? These are questions begging for answers.


Unfortunately this is not rumour, it's fact. A little over a year after tying the knot with Kehinde Oloyede, Funke Akindele's marriage has ended. Kehinde Oloyede shared the news of their split on his Facebook page (which he has since removed). He wrote:

    "It’s with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me nd ma wife Mrs olufunke akindele,we’ve both agreed to go our separate ways coz of irreconcilable differences.we still best of friends nd we 4ever remain gud friends.

I reached out to Funke's publicist after reading the Facebook message, and they confirmed that the two have indeed gone their separate ways. They've actually been having issues for a while now, really after Mr Oloyede had a child with another woman after marrying Funke.

Funke also recently changed her BB name from Mrs Funke Akindele Oloyede to Everybody loves Jenifa. Funke and Kehinde got married on Saturday May 26th 2012.

According to YES! Weekly Magazine Another multi-million naira fraud has allegedly been uncovered at Diamond Bank Plc by one of their customers. Embittered by this development, the said customer, Mr. Oluwamayowa Iseyemi, has reported the matter to the Osogbo High Court in Osun State. In his word, the bank tampered with his account without his ‘knowledge, consent and authority’.
For that reason, he’s claiming N25 million as special and general damages. According to his writ of summons, he had been enjoying credit facilities from the Osogbo branch of the bank since 2008. In February 2009 however, he applied for a personal loan of N3 million – which was granted on February 23 via a letter with reference number FD/AO/AA/23/02/2009.

“The loan was repayable in two equal monthly installments with an interest of 25 percent per annum and management fee of two percent flat per quarter in outstanding facility amount payable upfront”. Unfortunately, according to Iseyemi, the bank went contrary to their agreement along the line, tampering with his account in the process.

Maintaining that he had started re-paying the loan when sometime in 2011 he “uncovered a lot of manipulations by the defendant in his account”, he has now rushed to the court to seek redress. The matter came up for hearing recently and from what we were told, more shocking revelations will still follow. Diamond Bank Plc is one of Nigeria’s leading banks. Headed by Dr. Alex Otti, a first class graduate of the University of Port-Harcourt, banker/customer palaver is not new to them.

More criticisms are being thrown at Super Eagles coach,Stephen Keshi,following Nigeria’s ouster from the FIFA Confederations Cup.

A former boxing promoter,Martins Osaile,believes Nigeria performed below expectations,solely blaming Keshi,for Nigeria’s elimination from the tournament in Brazil.

Osaile claims that Keshi has his own personal agenda that he wants to achieve,by selecting some players,which he played in order to raise their market values.


“Keshi has achieved his long term dream. At least two or three of the boys are now in the market and the agents can now sell them for millions of dollars,” Keshi told Vanguard Sports.

“No country can ignore the likes of Osaze whom Keshi has blacklisted because of personal differences. There are some players in the present squad that have no business wearing the national colours but because he feels he can make something out of them, he keeps inviting them,” Osaile said.

“We will continue to totter until the NFF corrects that mistake. Keshi has reached his limits. He can’t offer more,” he added.

In his usual style of imposing candidates for various positions on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to impose his daughter, Shade Tinubu-Ojo as the new leader of market women and men in the state. However, the former governor has been told by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos branch to reframe from imposing his daughter on the Association.
It would be recalled that the former leader of the Association, Alhaja Abibat Mogaji, the foster mother of Bola Tinubu died last week and the former governor allegedly announced the choice of his daughter as successor during the eighth day Firdau prayer for his mother .

In a statement on Monday Lagos PDP Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani,implored Tinubu to allow democracy to prevail in the selection of a successor to Mogaji.

“You should allow the simple tenets of democracy to prevail in the selection of a new leader for the market women, more so as there is no cogent evidence that the nominee is a full-time market woman,” the statement said.

The statement said, “The former governor plans to confirm this choice to market leaders at a meeting he has summoned for Tuesday (today) at his residence.

“This new development portends great danger for our democracy and indeed Lagos’ integrity. We are thus calling on Governor Babatunde Fashola not to sit on the fence at this auspicious time.”

It would also be recalled that Bola Tinubu’s wife is a Senator while the son-in-law is a member of the House of Representatives. Both of them were imposed on the ACN
