21  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Bianca Ojukwu Opens Up About Her Intimate Relationship With Femi Fani-Kayode on: 30-08-2013 10:35 AM

Enugu Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s widow and Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has described as false the claim by former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, that she was his girlfriend when she was a spinster.

Fani-Kayode had in his article, entitled: “Neither a tribalist nor a hater,” published in the social media and some segments of the national dailies, claimed to have met with Bianca when she was  CONTINUE READING AT http://newsinigeria.blogspot.com/2013/08/bianca-ojukwu-opens-up-about-her.html#more

22  Forum / The Buzz Central / Forget His First Wife, I Will Marry This Man Forever ––Actress Foluke Daramola - on: 11-08-2013 12:55 PM

After her first marriage collapsed, actress Foluke Daramola couldn't find a single man to marry hence she has to mingle her way into the heart of the husband of a Female Pastor of Redeemed Church in Lagos. The man, Kayode Salako, has abandoned his wife and three children.

Foluke Damaro's friend Bukola later came out to confess that she used charm to confuse the man into getting married to her but Foluke is denying, even though it was the same Bukola that introduced her to him.

Foluke is insisting the controversial marriage must
stand. Below is what she and Mr Kayode said.
In this chat with Punch's Kemi Ashefon, they speak on how it all started and what's been happening thus far:

How did you meet?
Kayode: I met her officially on February 13, 2012. I run Change Agents of Nigeria Network, and Fasholamania Movement. They are nonprofit organisations and I am also a proprietor of a group of schools in Lagos. I needed a popular face to help develop the initiative of one of my organisations and a friend suggested Foluke. We were introduced to each other. Foluke is also an activist and she became a stakeholder in the organisation. She accepted to be the national publicity secretary and we worked together. Along the line, we discovered we had so many things in common and the chemistry of attraction started building.

Foluke: Before I met him, I was a single mother and was already planning to relocate to Canada because I had secured a scholarship to run my post graduate programme. A friend introduced me to him and I saw he had a lot of laudable ideas. I have always been an activist and I felt we could work as a team.

But did you know he was married at that time?
Foluke: Yes, and I remember I was introduced to his wife at the initial stage of working together. We were friends until he started talking about the problems he had with his first marriage. I didn’t know he had issues with his marriage but he is quite an emotional person and as a friend, he told me his experience. I understood the wife left him on her own volition and I knew he made attempts to resolve the problem. At a point, he told me to step out of the picture because he needed to sort out the problems in his marriage. Later, he called again and said we needed to move on.

Were there oppositions from both families?
Foluke: Initially, my mother was against it but after her spiritual convictions, she allowed us.

Kayode: A lot has been said about Foluke and I; but I must state that my first wife packed out of our home on her own volition. When I was getting serious with Foluke, I told everyone in my family to go all out and make inquiries if she is my destined wife or not. In fact, I consulted about 65 pastors before I made up my mind on her.

So how did you propose to her?
Kayode: I didn’t propose to her but the only one I made to her was on February 15, 2013 when we got married. She has everything I want in a woman.

Foluke: He wanted to propose to me on my birthday and give me an engagement ring but he changed his mind and decided having a quiet engagement. We got married on February 15, 2013.

Were you not sceptical about marrying an actress?
Kayode: Before I met her, I never fancied any Nigerian actress. I had known some of them through my organisations and I had nothing to do with any of them. But when I met Foluke, she proved me wrong! She is very reasonable, mentally upright, focused and an ambitious woman. She is godly and she has a deep knowledge of God’s word. In fact, she can recite over 25 psalm chapters off hand! She is not materialistic; she is a very good cook, homely and washes my underwear. We share a lot of things in common among which is the spirit of activism. Its fun being with her and till date, we still live as friends.

What about the children from previous marriages?
Kayode: We have five children. I have adopted her two kids and mine are three. She loves children and sometimes, I get jealous about how she dots on the kids.

Foluke: I was in my first marriage for almost five years and I was single for another five years. Over the years, I have been accustomed to my children and built my world around them. Then, I made up my mind that I would have relationships but no marriage. When I met him, I knew I needed to detach myself from the kids and create time to build my home. I have started that and it’s working. My kids, especially my daughter, love Kayode dearly.

How was transiting from divorce to remarriage like for you?
Foluke: First, I will say divorce in Africa is a horrible experience. I recoiled into my shell because there was rejection, mockery and you didn’t know who was saying what. So, I built a wall around myself and I have come to realise that when you are in a marriage, which you want to keep, you don’t keep friends. I don’t have close friends now.

Kayode: It was difficult after my first marriage because I was scared. What if this one turns like the first one? Wouldn’t I be embarrassed again? Marrying Foluke was not in the agenda because we were just friends and working together. It was difficult to accept but after praying, we were convinced about each other.

Don’t you get jealous when she mixes with her colleagues and fans?
Kayode: From the outset, I knew she is an actress. I am proud to be associated with her but I don’t get jealous. I am mentally mature to handle that aspect of her life. I love her dearly but I don’t want to gag her because she would not make it in her career if I do. Sometime ago, we went to an event and a man saw her, ran to her and gave her a full-mouth kiss! We were all shocked because the man came from nowhere! Not even her husband could kiss her publicly like that but I waved it off. I know my wife and trust her. No rich man can buy her with money because she believes in love. I know a lot of men who were on her neck even before we started a relationship but she prefers me. People cannot understand our love and they are waiting to read our divorce on the pages of newspapers. They said our marriage cannot go beyond six months. They will wait forever because there will never be a divorce (Foluke nods).

What do you do when alone?
Foluke: We talk about everything. There is nothing I don’t tell my husband. When the lady who introduced us to each other started a media war and said all sorts about me, I was not embarrassed because Kayode knew everything about me. I can leave my phone with him without fears. To me, true joy is having someone who loves you.

Kayode: We talk about everything. Foluke is an open book- no secrets.

If you talk this way, why do celebrity marriages fail?
Kayode: This marriage will work because we have made up our minds to make it work. Most celebrity marriages fail when the man does not allow his wife have inputs. When he starts to behave like an emperor or allows insecurity and inferiority complex to set in. We have decided to create fun within marriage.

Foluke: I don’t think celebrities fail in their marriages. We are human and have challenges like other couples. In fact, we go the extra mile to make our marriages work. Most female celebrities do the unusual and make their men feel special. We just need men who are confident. When we were about getting married, my father-in-law and some of his siblings were sceptical. I made everybody realise that acting is a profession, which I happen to find myself and I am going to be a good wife.

Whenever there is a disagreement, who apologises first?
I was in a marriage before, so making amends when there is a wrong, poses no problem for me. Most of the time, I say, I’m sorry. Fortunately, he does not suffer from inferiority complex.

What are the secrets of a successful union?
Kayode: Maintain that channel of communication. Secondly, understand each other and be friends. Moreover, a man should learn to overlook things especially if you are married to a celebrity. If you attach meanings to every issue, marriage will head for the rocks. Even when you want to scold her, let it be in the confines of your bedroom. Let the man be mentally mature too and be confident. A man should not allow his wife do all the work and share her money. She is not your slave.

Foluke: Don’t stop doing those things that attracted him to you. He loves my legs and I wear short skirts at home for him. Also, men should pay their wives compliments.

Are there pet names?
Kayode: I call her Ibadi Aran.

Foluke: I call him Ade mi (my crown) and Ayinde. He calls me Folu, when he is angry.

23  Forum / The Buzz Central / BBA Beverly Osu Exposes More Of Her Dirty $ex Secrets on: 11-08-2013 12:50 PM
Young, spontaneous and excessive are words Big Brother Africa fans relate easily to her. Her stories elicit taunts and laughter from Nigerian viewers. Many waive her off, preferring to call her ‘a disgrace to Nigeria’, without a second thought.

But that is what Beverly Ada Osu has brought upon herself, going into the finale of Africa’s biggest reality TV show. She has given no one reason to think or speak otherwise.

And she has revealed more of her dirty secrets again:

Being real?

Beverly found herself on the wrong side of a love triangle early in the game. Many gave her the benefit of doubt when Ugandan basketballer, Isaac ‘LK4’ Lugude decided to play a fast one on her and South African model Koketso Modibo. But many failed to take that as a hint.

She moved on to Ethiopian student, Bimp, after being shipped off to the Diamond House from the Ruby House. She didn’t need his permission to share his bed: She latched onto him like a leech for her daily survival. But Bimp’s avowed commitment to his girlfriend ensured that he kept the lines of friendship very clear.

When South Africa’s Angelo Collins connected with Beverly at the party zone, it was a case of two housemates finding love on the rebound; and that love which Beverly shares with the dance instructor has seen her throw caution to the winds. After two near mishaps, Beverly finally let go last Friday in Biggie’s bathtub. She became the fourth female Chasemate to made love on live TV, following closely in the footsteps of Betty, Selly and Cleo.

Her many exaggerations

Beverly made ears twinge earlier when she revealed that she was expelled from secondary school. Then she spoke about a ‘thing’ with singer 2Shortz and tongues wagged more. The singer’s rebuttal of any links with her made people have a rethink. Could Beverly be making up her stories? Not long after many discerning fans began to pick holes in her stories. Funny enough, she told many of them to housemates without bothering if she was over-stepping boundaries of decency, tact, fact and truth.

“In Nigeria, I can be walking past a market, and a market woman will stone me,” Bev told Chasemates last week Friday. She claimed a 42-year-old man wanted to marry her after meeting her just for a day, just to buttress an earlier statement: “My mum used to tell me that the guy I will marry, I won’t date for long.”

While confirming that she dropped out of Babcock University, she raised viewers eyebrows with two blatant lies: “I went to the most expensive school in Nigeria. I was a first-class material before dropping out of school, not because I don’t have the brain.” Many can easily attest to the fact that Igbinedion University’s fees dwarf that of Babcock and many a first-class student can spell difference without blinking.

If you still care you can read through these random sensational picks: “Flirting is in my genes,” she told Angelo. “I have over 16 Bibles,” she also told housemates. She claimed that popular singer Omawumi Megbele was her best friend. That was after she let out that a journey from Nigeria to Ghana by road took between 2-3hours. For Beverly, the Nigeria naira exchanges at a N100 to $1: “I told him [one of her ex boyfriends] that I would charge N100,000, that’s about a $1,000!”

Her loose tongue
Beverly’s stories have no boundaries and respect. “My grandmother speaks Ibo and doesn’t speak English very well. She is an illiterate!” Her mother’s dealings in life are in the open. From revealing that her 52-year-old mother carried drugs, she claimed that she was also an alaiye (mother of street urchins), and spoke boldly of how her mother took one young man to the cleaners with the help of her brothers. Hmmm...

She told Elikem on Monday: “My first boyfriend was Frank Okosa. He was 18 and in SS2, I was 15 in SS3. He was the first to made love with me.” She went ahead to reel out a list of her many boyfriends after Okosa: CJ, Nosa (32yrs), Rukkie (35yrs), Special (32yrs) and Curtis (28yrs). To justify her many men, she gave a lame excuse: “All my ex were over-protective and they took me for granted.” If she had stopped there it would have been very unlike her. But she dropped another bombshell for Elikem, the listening ear: “I can’t make love except I am high.”

On Wednesday, Beverly still wanted to have a say, as long as any housemate made a comment. So, when Namibia’s Dillish Matthews disclosed that her mother’s birthday was August 14, Beverly jumped in, “my mum’s birthday is tomorrow.”

Beverly’s many tales coupled with her bathtub escapade with Angelo is not doing her any favours with the fans. But if she can avoid the possible eviction nomination list next week, she will be in the annals of Big Brother Africa history books as the only Chasemate who made the grand finale without being nominated for 11weeks. If her name comes up next week, it would be safe to say even at this time that she may never make it to the finale, Nigerian or not!

24  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Couple beat 4-year-old nephew to death because he couldn’t count to 10 on: 11-08-2013 07:37 AM

A Mexican couple have been accused of beating a four-year-old boy to death because he couldn’t count.

The child, named by police as Raúl Antonio, was allegedly beaten in by his aunt and uncle till he showed no signs of life, in Ecatepec, in the suburbs of Mexico City, on Tuesday.

MarÌa Guadalupe Tovar Hernández, 33, and Guillermo Delgadillo Becerra, 43, confessed to killing Raúl and dumping his tiny dead body on waste ground, a statement from Ecatepec police said.

MarÌa Guadalupe Tovar Hernandez
Guillermo Delgadillo Becerra
Confession: MarÌa Guadalupe Tovar Hernández, 33, (left) and Guillermo Delgadillo Becerra, 43, (right) have admitted killing four-year-old Raúl Antonio by violently beating him as punishment for not being able to count to 10

The young boy had been abandoned by his mother and was then raised by his aunt and uncle — his two legal guardians.

According to his aunt, the boy had been living with them in the Guadalupe La Venta colony in Ecatepec, Mexico and she claimed that Raul had left the home and had not returned.

The couple originally reported Raúl Antonio as missing. Officials began investigating the couple when their original statements contained details that did not match.

The aunt and uncle on Wednesday admitted that Raúl Antonio was beaten the day before, as punishment for not knowing how to count to 10.

They revealed in their confession that they were beating him to discipline him. When Raúl failed to show signs of life, they realised he had died.

They then moved the body to an abandoned lot in Chapultepec, a neighboring town to Ecatepec.

Police in Ecatepec City investigated the location described by the couple where they found the lifeless body of Raúl Antonio, reports El Universal.

María Guadalupe Tovar Hernández and Guillermo Delgadillo Becerra have been detained by the authorities of Ecatepec and murder charges have been filed.

Physical punishment as a means to discipline children has become increasingly frowned upon by the international community.

The United Nations Committee on the rights of the Child called for ending physical punishment in 2006 stating that it “legalized violence against children” and it should be eliminated via “legislative, administrative, social and educational measures.”

25  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / French Nurse Rents Her Bosom Online To Feed Children From Gay Marriages on: 10-08-2013 10:57 PM

A 29-year-old French nurse has created an online advert offering to rent out her Bosom  to feed newborn babies. She describes herself as “a young mother in good health” targeting gay men in particular. Gay men in couples are not able to Bosom feed their babies and Bosom feeding allows babies to grow in good health, giving them complete nutrition.

The move is timed well, being that gay men are now able to adopt children after France’s gay marriage bill was voted in.

26  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / I spent millions on Majek –Hajia Dangaji on: 10-08-2013 10:22 PM

Hajia-Dangaji-Music enthusiast, Hajia Oluremi Amina Dangaji, spoke with REPORTER, Lukmon Akintola, on why she spent millions to rehabilitate Majek Fashek, how her husband has accepted her new person and many more.

Did you really spend millions to rehabilitate Majek Fashek?

Yes, I did and I am thankful to God for giving me the opportunity to be able to do something that good. Today, a lot of people see Majek and they wonder how he became as good as he is now, but I made that sacrifice. I had about N30 million which I wanted to use in procuring a property then and it was that money that I spent on him.

Have you had any reason to regret that decision?

No. I have not because Majek’s album is ready and waiting to get into the market. We have concluded work on it but we are just waiting for the printer to conclude work on the jacket and as soon as we have done this, we will go full swing in terms of publicity, both on television and radio stations. We are also working on his video and it should come out by the second week of next month.

Some people say you are a bad businesswoman for investing so much money in Majek. How do you feel about that statement?

For you to understand where I am coming from, you need to understand that I did not know him before I decided to help him. His case was like that of an abandoned child when I first met him.

How did you meet him?

He was brought to me by a musician known as Prince Wadada. When he was brought to me, Majek was pulling at my hair and touching my Bosom  and at first, I asked myself if he was healthy. That day, he and his friend left my house and his friend later returned to tell me that Black Tribe wanted to do a show in the shrine and they needed money to participate. Due to the passion I had for the artiste, I decided to give them some money and they left.

Did you attend the said show?

Yes, I did.

What was your impression?

I was shocked because I saw Majek pulling off his trousers and showing off his buttocks each time he performed. He was simply behaving like a mad man. I was so surprised that I had to climb the stage and talk to him to stop behaving the way he was doing. Each time he wanted to do it, I winked at him and he would stop it. That was how our journey started. Some months later, his friends rushed him to my house, saying that he was dying and when I told them to take him to hospital, they said they did not have any money. To cut a long story short, they abandoned him in my house.

Who abandoned him in your house?

I am talking of MC Morris and his friends. I had to call Prince Wadada and he switched off his phone. At the end of the day, I had to call my doctor, who started giving him drips in my sitting room. The situation was so bad that Majek breathed once every five minutes. I went through a lot then because I remember that during that occasion he lived only on liquid foods like pap, custard, soya beans milk and tea. He destroyed a lot of my property, but I kept on. At a point I had to call my brother to advise me on how to get rid of the things that were challenging Majek and he said I would have to go to Niger and look for marabouts to handle the issue. He, however, warned that it would cost millions of naira because the men would have to be flown in from their country or be transported from Abuja or from Kano because they don’t come cheap. They collect nothing less than N20million and that is exclusive of their feeding and accommodation fees.

How did Majek feel when he became well and saw the things he had destroyed?

He felt really bad; he felt ashamed because I was the one who was feeding him. I was also packing his excreta whenever he defecated. To cut it shut, he was simply ashamed of himself. He was always crying because I remember he told me that if I, who am not a member of his family, could do all these for him, then I automatically qualify to be his family. He said I was his mother.

Did you make effort to know his family?

I did, but he told me he had nobody. I went to Hypetonia, his former manager, and I told him I could not take care of Majek alone and the man said he could not spend his money on Majek. We paraded his house severally but we did not get any positive response from him, so I decided to do it by myself. Having spent N30 million, I went back to my account and collected more money, got Majek a new apartment, furnished it and even took him to a dentist, who cleaned his tooth and gave him an artificial tooth but surprisingly as soon as we left the dentist, Majek removed the tooth and put it in his pocket.

Were you not tempted to dump him at a point especially as he was not your relation?

I was not because I was used to things like that. I have helped insane people get well before, I have a non-governmental organisation, and I have attended several seminars. That is why his case was not strange to me.

Some people have the belief that you bought your way through to become PMAN president. Did you?

I did not just wake up one day and become the PMAN president. I am a musician and my genre of music is Alatika hip hop. My mother was also a musician, so for me, music runs in the family. I am a registered member of the association and all my artistes on my record label, A Plus Global Entertainment, are also full members. I belonged to a state chapter of PMAN and I held the post of the 1st Vice President of the chapter for about two years.

How do you explain that you bought your form four days to the election and you still won?

I did not want to contest for the election but when I noticed that the contestants were all men, I decided to contest. If you check all the state chapters, you will find out that there is only one female president. I wanted to change that. You asked if I bought my way to emerge the president of PMAN; well I did not buy my way but I must tell you that election is all about money. Election without money is like a romance without finance and it is not possible. Buying the form involves money, submitting it is also about money and even touring the other state chapters is about money. PMAN is all about politics and it is one where the men intimidate the women. I have always been in the forefront of the peace work in the association. I started the peace forum and I settled a lot of conflicts among many members of the association. So I have achieved, I have paid my dues.

What were your challenges before you emerged the president?

I faced several challenges because most of the people who I trusted and believed would support me eventually turned their back on me.

People like who?

Raz Van Murphy was always telling me he was not contesting again but when we got to Port Harcourt for the election he stepped out as a candidate. He was even the one who told his thugs to disrupt the election before it was eventually brought to Lagos State. And when we even came to Lagos, Murphy tried to disrupt the election because he created a scene on the day of the election, when he simply disappeared and his wife said that they had kidnapped her husband.

There are several factions in PMAN and people don’t know which is which. What is the problem with the association?

The problem with PMAN is the men in the association. Most of them put all their challenges on the association and it is not supposed to be like that. Most of these people don’t have jobs and the moment they see that you have a little money to throw around they come to you and say pay me N20 million and I will make you the PMAN president. So, they are feeding on the crisis in PMAN. Kelvin Luciano could not have emerged the president of that faction if they did not collect money from him. It was the same thing that happened to Preddy Wise; he fell a victim before he knew what was happening. Luciano called me and I told him that I was hearing stories about him saying he would deal with me and he said he, too, had heard similar stories about me saying the same about him. So, I just told him it was the PMAN people; because when they want peanuts they start saying different things.

How does your husband cope with your new position as a wife who is also a president?

I am a soldier’s wife and as you know, the wife of an average military man is never around. They are always far away. Sometimes, we don’t get to see our husbands for six months and because I did not want to be an idle hand

29  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Nigeria Moves To Put First Man In Space on: 10-08-2013 08:32 AM

Nigeria has taken serious steps to put
the country’s first man into space in
2015 with the assistance of the British
government.
The federal government, according to
dailymail.co.uk, has accepted
£300million this year alone to set in
train ambitious plans to launch the
country’s own rockets.
The medium said the first Nigerian
astronauts are being trained to join
Russian, Chinese or American
missions within the next two years.
Britain’s support for Nigeria’s space
initiative and other countries has been
criticised by its nationals, who said
that the Department for International
Development’s budget will rise by 35
per cent in real terms by 2015. They
said while aid costs are ballooning,
spending on the military, the police,
border control and care homes is
being slashed by the government.
Britain is also spending about
£280million a year on aid to India,
another country with its own space
programme.
Jonathan Isaby from the TaxPayers’
Alliance said: “When budgets are tight
both for families and the government
alike, people cannot understand why
ministers are sending more of our
hard-earned cash overseas.
Taxpayers find it especially
unacceptable when their money is
sent abroad as aid to developing
countries which then somehow find
sufficient cash to fund the likes of a
space programme.
“It is totally unacceptable that British
taxpayers’ money is effectively
subsidising Nigeria’s efforts to send an
astronaut into space”, he said.
Nigeria’s space programme started in
2003 but its first satellite lost power
and disappeared from orbit.
It now has three in space,
NigComSat-1R, NigeriaSat-2 and
Nigeria-Sat X, the first to be
constructed by Nigerian engineers.
Although Nigeria has bought its own
satellites and launched on Russian
rockets, the federal government has
built laboratories which it hopes will
produce its own space craft by 2028.

31  Forum / The Buzz Central / "I am a victim of domestic violence" - Actress Chika Ike opens up on: 10-08-2013 02:25 AM

Actress Chike Ike pens an open letter to her fans, opening up about the physical abuse she suffered in the hands of the man she called her husband for five years. Find her story below...

The past three years has been a very emotional period for me. I focused my energy on work and to build back my self esteem. its been really hard for me to come out straight and talk about this because sometimes I pinch myself to wake up and not believe that I was a victim of domestic violence. I've been through a lot in my life, faced a lot of challenges but this is one topic I've tried so hard to avoid and have been waiting for the right time but I have come to a resolve   that there's really no right time because every second of the day, lives are being lost due to domestic violence.  I was a victiim of domestic violence in my marriage and that was the singular reason I left my marriage, aside other reasons.

Growing up as a girl. I was always known as the sweetest kid on the block, before I got married, I have been through some relationships and for once no man had ever laid a finger on me. The first time it happened in my marriage I didn't understand it because I am not the type of woman a man beats but I guess there are no types. It just happens and no woman deserves it. As a young girl I thought it was love or his way of expressing his emotions, after every beating he pleads , cries and says it won't happen again, once again I thought it was love and made excuses for him.  Over the years when it kept happening consistently I started looking for other definitions for it.  I started loosing my self pride, self esteem , self worth, and most painfully i lost  a pregnancy (Miscarriage) I almost lost my life in the process then I realised how serious and abnormal it really was.

I have heard and read a lot of accusations from ignorant people who don't know my story,I guess that's why they are ignorant.  I was 20yrs old and  very naïve to the world when I got married .“ They said I married for money“ LOL. I was married to a corporate guy,who had a 9_5 job in a bank, Lives in a rented 2 bedroom apartment at Egbe..  So do the maths! . I married for love. I did a traditional wedding. A white wedding and a court wedding. So that's how much I wanted to be married forever.  For five years I hoped, prayed & wished that one day it will all change. But the last straw that broke the carmels back was during a heated argument he threw a glass  jug to my face and I dogged it and it shattered on d wall. I saw death flash before me and I made a decision to save my life. I left my marriage.

Am not saying  this to draw pity from anyone because we are entitled to our opinions and believes. I am not also saying this to discourage people from falling in love because its a beautiful feeling and I still believe in it. I am saying this to educate, share and talk about my experience as a victim of domestic violence because it is real.
32  Forum / The Buzz Central / Switzerland Apologies to Oprah Winfrey Over Racist Shop Incident on: 10-08-2013 12:41 AM

After the racist shop assistant in Zurich refused to show Oprah Winfrey a handbag worth $40, 000, because she felt Oprah cannot afford it, the entire country of Switzerland is begging for Oprah's forgiveness. The incident occurred last month, when Oprah was in Zurich to attend Tina Turner's wedding, she walked into the upscale Trois Pomme boutique where she noticed a $40,000 handbag.

Oprah asked to see it, the shop assistant refused insisting it was out of O's price range.

Oprah described the exchange to "Entertainment Tonight":

"One more time, I tried. I said, 'But I really do just want to see that one,' and the shopkeeper said, 'Oh, I don't want to hurt your feelings,' and I said, 'Okay, thank you so much. You're probably right, I can't afford it.' And I walked out of the store."

Now, Switzerland's national tourism board has issued an apology on behalf of the country saying, "We are very sorry for what happened to her.

The board also begged for Oprah's forgiveness on Twitter, saying the shop assistant "acted terribly wrong."

Oprah reportedly made $77 million dollars last year ... so, suck on that racist shop assistant.

33  Forum / The Buzz Central / Tiwa Savage Wishes Don Jazzy And D’banj Could Work Together Again on: 10-08-2013 12:30 AM

First femaleAmbassador for Beverages company ”Pepsi” and First lady of Marvin Records Tiwa Savage, was recentlyinterview by StyleMania magazine for their latest edition and was ask various question including her view on separation between two music luminaries and founders of defunct Mo’Hits Records should they come back together. Duo of D’banj And Don Jazzy make various Headlines about few days ago, when both of them performed together at D’banj Sister White Wedding at The Grandeur Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos.

“I am still in shock and when I listen to songs like Suddenly, I am like is this really happening? And I feel like they have left a void in the music industry in Nigeria and in Africa,” Tiwa said in a special feature on her in the latest edition of StyleMania magazine. The songstress said she could not really point to what caused the rift between the two friends beyond different news reports she read in the media.

Tiwa, however, admitted that in line with some people’s perception of Don Jazzy, the super producer is indeed a “mysterious” guy.

“I’ll tell you the honest truth about Don Jazzy…he really is like that. He doesn’t really open his heart easily to people. He just accepts what happens and he moves on. I mean he is the Don, so I can’t go up to him and say ‘Jazzy, what really happened. I just keep my mouth shut,” she said.

In the interview, Tiwa defended the open show of sensitive body parts in her video which has attracted a lot of flaks.

“You know a lot of people say that in Africa we don’t like to expose ourselves and that is actually a big lie because if you check the history of Africa, we were actually very exposed. So I think it is quite ironic because people think that the western world is influencing us whereas we are the ones influencing the western world,” Tiwa argued.

Do you think these guys should just forget their pride and work together again?

36  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / HELL! Woman Goes Mad After Seeing Her Baby Killed by Doctors on: 10-08-2013 12:01 AM

She is afraid of going out and seeing strangers. She often bites me. She is also afraid of seeing doctors and needles,” Wu said.
The sight that triggered his wife’s descent was a doctor dropping her just-born baby into a plastic bag and paying a cleaning lady 80 yuan ($13) to bury it.
“The baby was still breathing and moving when the doctor put him into a plastic bag,” Wu said.
Later, his wife started having nightmares. She felt guilty for not having protected her child. She also became ill-tempered and started showing signs of mental disorder.
His wife was officially diagnosed with schizophrenia on June 14, but Wu has been unable to afford psychiatric treatment. He demanded compensation from local authorities and the provincial family planning bureau, but none have seen fit to respond.
Wu and his wife Gong Qifeng are residents of Anping Town, Lianyuan City in Hunan. In a telephone interview with Epoch Times, Wu said that family planning officials took his wife from their home.
He went to the local family planning office and was told that his wife must undergo induced labor, despite Wu’s pleas against it.
Two hours later, a family planning official called to tell him that his wife was given a shot. When Wu rushed to the hospital, his wife said four people had held her down while a doctor gave her an injection in the belly. “She was very scared. But she could not fight back. She just cried loudly,” Wu said.

“‘My husband is disabled. Don’t induce labor on me,’ she said, but they ignored her plea,” Wu added.
After lying in excruciating pain for 35 hours, Gong gave birth to a baby boy. Gong told Wu to keep the baby, but the doctor stopped him and said the injection was lethal and the baby would die soon.
That’s when the doctor dropped the baby into a bag and paid the cleaning lady, who told him she’d bury the body at a nearby mountain. Wu has posted the story online, but unlike other extreme incidents of abuse associated with the enforcement of the one child policy, the reaction has been muted.
He recently began speaking about his wife’s ordeal to Chinese media, including accusing a family planning official of forging his signature on an agreement to induce labor in his wife. Afterwards, several family planning officials threatened to seek revenge if they lost their jobs, Wu said.
Shocking accounts of late term forced abortions appear periodically in the Chinese press. Congressman Chris Smith has commented that abortion is “a weapon of mass destruction” in China.
“Today in China, rather than being given maternal care, pregnant women without birth allowed permits are hunted down and forcibly aborted,” he said during a hearing in July of 2012.
The Chinese regime initiated population control policies in the 1970s, and stepped up the efforts in the 1980s with the one-child policy.
Doctors in China have performed 336 million abortions and 196 million sterilizations, and inserted 403 million intrauterine devices over the decades, according to official statistics.
Every year they abort roughly 7 million pregnancies, sterilize almost two million men and women, and insert seven million intrauterine devices, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
