|  The Police Command in the FCT have begun investigation into the alleged theft of N6.8 million from the ATM of a bank at Jabi District, Abuja, on Saturday. DSP Altine Daniel, the command’s spokesperson, who disclosed th is on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said that a suspect had been arrested in connection with the theft. He said that the 27-year-old suspect (name withheld), allegedly broke into the ATM belonging to one of the old generation banks and stole the money. Daniel, however, said that the amount that was stolen was recovered “intact” from the suspect after he was arrested in the premises of the bank. “On Sept. 21, at about 10 a.m., some staff of the bank came to report at our office at Utako that their ATM had problem. “When our men moved to the scene and started looking for clues and anything that will assist them in their investigation, they not iced that the CCTV monitor room had been tampered with. “After a thorough search, they also noticed that the door of the toilet in the room was locked from within and when they opened it, they found somebody seated. “The suspect was p icked up and taken to the station where he confessed to the crime,” she said. Daniel said the suspect claimed to have learned the act of opening safe from the “youtube” (Internet) and thereafter, bought some tools, including screw driver and pliers, to carry out the act. | Yesterday the unbelievable happened on board the United Airlines. The plane was scheduled to arrive Houston from Nigeria but was unavoidably delayed midway due to the sudden death of a passenger that was on board the craft. They departed Lagos, Nigeria last night at about 11pm to Atlanta USA. But a passenger, a man who was unidentified by my sources on board the flight, was said to have died on board. Due to the unfortunate incident the plane was diverted for an emergency land ing at Dakar where the body was properly wrapped and kept in the toilet of the plane to avoid immediate decomposition or any foul smell for the reman ing of the journey. The United Airlines plane was reported to have finally landed ATL just a few hours ago after a very long delay. my source maintains that details of the cause of death and the identity of the passenger is stll unknown and the shocked passengers have all dispersed to their destinations. |  A 44-year-old lawyer, Kofi Yawson-Adjei, yesterday committed suicide by hanging himself. According to Ghanaweb.com, Yawson-Adjei, who is the Secretary of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GIS) and valuers, hanged himself in his private office on the first floor of a rented premises at Adabraka. The father of three is said to have left h is Kokomlemle residence about 3 a.m. for his office (in a taxi), where the incident took place. He left a written note directing a lady named Narh to give a signed cheque for GH¢3,000 to his wife. Yawson-Adjei was with the Valuation Estate and Surveying Division of the GIS and was Chief Executive Officer of Property Lane Limited. When the Daily Graphic team got to the scene about 11 a.m., pockets of residents had gathered discussing the issue. Personnel from the Homicide Unit of the Ghana Police Service were also at the scene to convey the body to the Police Hospital mortuary. The elder sister of the deceased would not allow members of the media to enter the office where the deceased was found hanging. A picture captured on a mobile phone, however, showed the deceased wearing a white T-shirt and a red boxer’s shorts and hanging from the ceiling with a rope around his neck. The Chairman of the Valuation Estate Surveying Division of the GIS, Mr Emmanuel Martey, who was at the scene of the incident, told the media that Yawson-Adjei was with the members of the division who had gone to Dodowa last Saturday for the marking of scripts of new members who were being admitted to the institution. “We had conducted examination for our trainees for admission to membership, so we dec ided that we move outside Accra to have time and concentrate to mark and then do peer review. “I was marking with him when he began complaining about being blank and being unable to appreciate what he was marking. I asked him on a number of occasions to go and rest,” he said. According to Mr. Martey, Yawson-Adjei took the rest and came back after two hours but still compla ined of having gone blank. On Sunday evening, he took Yawson-Adjei to the Valley View University Hospital for treatment, and on arrival the nurse observed him and said his blood pressure was very high because he had gone through so much stress. “They gave us prescription and I took him back to the hotel. But he was still weak so we arranged for him to be taken home. “I called his home this morning (yesterday) to find out his status, but I was told that something had happened and that he left home around 3 a.m. Apparently, they did not know where he was until they discovered him in his own office,” he said. Another source told the Daily Graphic that his wife had called to inform Yawson-Adjei’s elder sister that her brother had left home at dawn and was nowhere to be found. “It was when the sister dashed here around 6 a.m. that she discovered his body hanging,” the source said. A neighbour who pleaded anonymity said he had seen the deceased arrive at the office building situated behind the CUA Building about 4 a.m. in a taxi. “He was in the car for about 10 minutes and then later got out and went to his office. He was in T-shirt and boxer’s shorts,” the neighbour said. A friend and neighbour of Yawson-Adjei, Mr Dan Agyekum, who was distraught at the turn of events, said he was yet to understand the cause of his friend’s death. “Just last Thursday he signed my daughter’s university forms,” he said, and added: “I even saw him on Friday and we chatted.” Yawson-Adjei , he said, did not show any sign of having a problem. The Accra Regional Police Command confirmed the incident. Mr Emmanuel Larweh, a surveyor who worked with Yawson-Adjei in the same building, told the Daily Graphic that Yawson-Adjei looked hale and hearty when he saw him last Friday, 20 September, 2013. “He even handed over my portion of the scripts to be marked,” he said. How did you become one of late Prophet Ajanaku’s aides?The first day I saw him, I was not attracted to him because of his physical look. He bleached. However, when my boss who was one of his church members introduced me to him, he prayed for me. My decision to visit his church was based on curiosity. That was in 2007. Sincerely, there is no way you won’t marvel at his preaching. He preached with persuasive and authoritative words. I was wowed. And that was when he was about completing his multi-million naira mansion. And most of the church members volunteered to assist the builders. He asked me to work for God in his house and do the furniture. I can’t lie to you, when Prophet Ajanaku spoke you would think it was God. His church members saw him as god. He often told us that he wines and dines with God and that if he wants anybody to die tomorrow, it would happen. We all respected and feared him. You dare not say no to his request. He said he had the power to save someone from ultimate death. My decision to open up was not to malign his character but be factual. Even before his death, I confessed this feat openly to him. I can’t doubt his power but not as a Christian. For instance, someone came to see him. He said some people predicted he was going to die at a certain date. Thus, he was warned not to go out. Prophet Ajanaku closed his eyes for a minute and the next moment said the man should go out that day that nothing would happen to him. And nothing happened to him indeed. I can say that though he was very powerful but his lifestyle and character were questionable. How many months did you work in his house? I stayed inside his house for nine months to complete the whole job. The reason was that most of the job was done at night. He won’t allow you to work on the upper parts of the house during day time until he gave you the nod. And mostly at night. If you complained that it would disturb people staying with him, he would say as the owner, all I needed was his approval.
How would you describe him?Although he wielded spiritual power but he was not a man of God. The bubble burst some years back when one of his personal aides, Mr. Adefeso traveled with him to South Africa on a missionary assignment. The aide is quite educated. He is an elderly person. That was in November 2010. And there is one thing about prophet, whenever he is angry with anybody, he would tell the church members that God is angry with such person and that anybody that relates with such a person would incur the wrath of God. Thus, once you incur his wrath, the whole church would stop greeting you. Before they travelled to South Africa, there was an issue on ground. He was renovating the church. He engaged the services of one of his church members who sold woods and planks to supply the church. I supervised the project and it was N750,000. He was to pay after the project. After the project, he refused to pay. And the member knew it wrecked his small business. It became an issue and it was his personal a ide, Mr. Adefeso who waded in and said prophet would pay. That was when they travelled to South Africa. When they got back, we discovered they had an issue. The aide claimed he discovered some of his secrets while on the trip but till date refused to disclose them. However, when prophet came back, he quickly started telling us the man was evil, that we should excommunicate him. I know him well, once he knew you had discovered some of his negative acts, he would blackmail you with lies. That was the same thing he did for Tope Alabi. What are the things you discovered about him? First, he is a chronic liar. Do you know that the money he owed he never paid back? The matter was taken to the police at Panti and he denied owing the man. He said he has paid him. I was shocked. They called me as a witness. Though I was scared but I stood for the truth. He spent over N500,000 to settle the case. And at the end we even became the victim. He specialized in turning the tide against people who speak the truth. He would fabricate lies against such person. And the medium he used most was a soft-sell magazine. Second, I can tell you authoritatively that he sleeps with his female aides who stay in his house. He has agents who recruit ladies in the church who are not employed. They used their situation to entice them to work and live with the prophet. And some only live with him for like three months before he would fabricate lies against them and send them parking. But none of them could disclose their ordeal because he was a god.
But what about his wife?His wife, Joy, was staying in the upper room. She only comes down during church services. That’s why most people don’t really know anything about her. She dares not come down unless he gave approval. We only discovered the truth when one of the ladies who was also the wife’s aide known as Becky confessed to a pastor at Abuja that he was sleeping with her. She was dating a friend of mine who was also staying in his house. The house is so big and many of us lived with him. My friend and Becky travelled to Abuja and he introduced her to a pastor in Abuja. That one now said Becky has a secret and unless she revealed it, it would affect their relationship. It took her four days to open up that she has been sleeping with late Ajanaku. She was scared she would die after the confession but with prayer in Abuja, nothing happened to her. Although we were suspicious but she gave us instances which we were aware of and revealed how other girls too were his sex slaves. Also, most of his members go to the church with their wealth but left poor. He was very rich. He swindled them of their wealth and virtues. Though we have never seen him with charm before but he often told us he knows about all incantations because he had been into all sorts of occultism before he started his ministry. He sa id they are all powerless compared to God’s power. He is a pretender. Once he was about to discard his enemies, he would say negative things about them and since we were not privileged to see or hear from God, we believed him. That’s what he used on those girls too. He bleached and encouraged the girls too to use the cream. I had to leave in 2011. I spent five years with him. Yes. It’s no secret that he had a wife and two kids who died before he started the ministry. Aside that, he had a baby out of wedlock, but he rejected the mother. What’s the woman’s name?I don’t know because he was even the one who revealed it to us when the mother came to collect the boy’s allowance of N20,000. Only few aides knew. I was so close to him because I worked for him. He had four rooms in that house which are exclusively his own. He had a particular room that if he was there for three months you won’t know. In the instance of sensational Marvin Records superstar, Wande Coal, there is a woman who is the solid rock behind his musical relevance and that's his mother, Mrs. Omolara Ojosipe. She recently had a brief chat with Alonge Michael where she reluctantly revealed how she nursed Wande Coal to stardom.
How did you nurse Wande Coal to stardom?It’s God . He started in the church choir when we were in Redeemed Christian Church, the source of inspiration for his career is God and I always tell him to return all glory back to God. And whatever the challenges that comes along, he should just tell God, “I have not called myself, I didn’t put myself in this position, you did so, God see me through”. So, we have learnt to rely and put everything in God’s care. It’s not any human effort but God. I am not so righteous to have such a star as a son but God has decreed that, whosoever He chooses to bless, He blesses.
How often do you see or when was the last time you saw him?Oh! That was last month, he’s always busy as you know, he’s always engaged in his career, I have come to realize this and I cope with it but we talk on the phone from time to time.
When he was growing up; was there any trait of him becoming a star?I am a teacher, he started from school, in any gathering he would be singing and people would be rejoicing, sometimes he would crack jokes to the bewilderment of all and sundry. But I noticed that it was affecting his education and as a teacher, I didn’t like that, you know, so I started to scold him and made sure he had good grades from secondary school. I monitored him through the secondary school but when he got to the university, there is little I could do to have control on him, so that gave him the opportunity to fully delve into his music. Till tomorrow they still see me as a wicked mum because I was so strict with them about their education. When he was younger, he was always saying that he would want to be like Michael Jackson and I always tell him, this is Africa, Nigeria, You don’t expect what works for them there to work for us here. When he started going to dance competitions and he started winning, then I knew he was destined for that and I asked God in prayer to reveal to me if music was his calling. I didn’t know it would come that early, sometimes when he was going out, I would asked God to reveal to me if he was going to make headway in music and God revealed to me that he’s made to be popular musically. That was the time he won the Hyundai from Hip Hop Awards when he had not even released any record except singles.
Briefly tell us about your name?I’m Mrs. Omolara Ojosipe, I have been a teacher for 26 years but now I am in the Federal inspectorate section under the ministry of education. Why did you go into p*rn*graphic movies?I did not go into p*rn*graphic movies. I reiterate that I am not into p*rn*graphy and it seems the press and Nigerians are really wishing I did. I started doing regular movies with some sort of n*dity or ad*lt content but they kept saying p*rn, p*rn and calling me a p*rn star. How do you feel that many Nigerians are not pleased with your brazenness?Brazenness? Oh no you didn’t! I can’t believe anybody even uses that word. For your info, it’s only about 15% of Nigerians that pretend not to like it but guess what, they chase me around, follow me around, if they don’t really like what I do, why follow me around? It’s only because they are hypocrites.

What are you trying to actually achieve with your p*rn movies?OK, well, if you still call them p*rn movies, they are not. And I am trying achieve success, money, fame and a secured future for my daughters.

Your ex-husband said he came to Nigeria to marry a hooker. How do you feel about that?Well, I wouldn’t care about what a disgruntled ex-husband is going about saying. I am not a ‘h00ker.’ I have not hooked up with his father, his brothers or anybody he knows before. Every allegation against me is false, merely based on assumptions and hearsay. I guess you should be asking me how I manage to single handedly raise the children he abandoned me with since 2007. When he abandoned us, he went to Nigeria and sold the home I struggled to build for us. I did not ask him for a dime. He never even mentions that in any interview, yet he has no shame tarnishing my image everywhere, not caring about how the children will eat, survive, cloth or if there’s a roof over their heads. At least I did not walk away like his coward ass. If he had any conscience, he should be praying for me, not trying to pull me down. As a matter of fact, he has not spent a dime on raising the children since 2007. Fact is, I have moved on and I’m focusing on my career and raising my kids. I guess it’s time to put this nonsense to a stop. And to you press, th is is the last time I will entertain any questions that has to do with my ex or broken marriage. |  President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan made history yesterday as he became the first Nigerian Leader to ring the closing bell at the Newyork Stock Exchange (NYSE). Recall that in 2009, Late President Yar Adua was the first Nigerian Leader to Ring the Opening bell on the floor of the Nigeria Stock Exchange. He Took to his Facebook Page and posted this after ringing the closing bell….. “Goodluck Jonathan Today, I had the honour of ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange after I had heralded to global captains of industry Nigeria’s efforts in recent times that has made our nation a prime destination for foreign investment and one that ensures some of the highest Return on Investments (RoI) in the world. This is just the beginning of greater things to come for our country and our continent. The foundation of planning which we laid at the inception of our administration is being strengthened for greater service delivery for our people. My attention has just been drawn to some modest but positive steps in the education sector. In 2010, the pass rates for our National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examinations was 15.84%. To address the abysmal failure and general decay in education we convened an emergency education summit in 2010 to deliberate on why we had fallen so far back and how best can we move up? We took the report from that conference and began implementing some of the recommendations. The education sector had the highest sectoral allocation in the budget the following year and has remained among the topmost in allocation since then. On Friday the 20th of September 2013, the results of our efforts began to manifest. This year, 69.57% of Nigerian students passed the 2013 Senior School Certificate Examinations. We cannot relent. While we continue to negotiate with ASUU so that never again will strikes be an impediment to the realization of our children's educational aspiration, it is important that we keep our eyes on the ball: a holistic turn around in our education. As we make progress in every sector of our economy: Transportation, Aviation, Agriculture, Power, Finance, Energy Security and all others it is not celebration time until all our citizens can feel the progress in our communities and our constituencies. We must pay greater attention to education. As I said on this page on April 10, 2012 when I commissioned the first of 400 Almajirinci Model Schools in Gagi, Sokoto state “a nation does not become wealthy by what it has under the ground rather the wealth of nations are today measured by what is between the ears of her citizens”. To the world I say, we have the most industrious humans on earth and we are ready for business. To fellow Nigerians, our collective work for change is not done. Lets us not be discouraged by the attempt to drag us into partisan politics when the urgent issue of the moment is governance. GEJ” President Jonathan is in Newyork for the United Nations summit.
