The life of this 17-year-old student of Bowen University, Opeyemi Odusanya, has been cut short by some cult members in Lagos. The beautiful girl murdered for allegedly rejecting séxual advances from some youths in the area and also for “being too proud.”

Opeyemi was stabbed to death by the cult boys at her parents’ house in Alakuko, Lagos, on February 3.
“The deceased went to buy airtime for her telephone. As she was returning, a group of cult members trailed and entered the house with her. Opeyemi was alone at home when the guys entered. They instructed her to turn on the generator so that if she screamed, no one would hear.
“We believe that they wanted to rapé the girl, but she must have put up a fierce struggle as the whole house was scattered. The guys subsequently stabbed her in the stomach several times and ripped out her intestines...
“After killing her, they took her phone and the keys to her parents’ vehicle, a jeep, which was on the table. They stole the jeep, which was parked in the compound, after killing the girl.”
A police officer, who wished to remain anonymous, told Punch in Lagos.

The girl is a no-nonsense person who is focused on her studies. She was a 300 level student of Biochemistry at Bowen university.

Sadly, the cult boys used Opeyemi’s telephone line to send a text message to her mother, explaining why they killed the 17-year-old
.Below is their message to the innocent girl's mother:
“Your child has been proud. We have been toasting her, but she has refused to accept. We have killed her to teach a lesson. We have also driven your car away. If you want your car back, come to Lakas Hotel or Cele Bus Stop around Mile 2 to pick it up. If we see policemen around, we will kill everybody.”
Anyway, Nigeria police say they are on top of the situation.

While Tuface Idibia and his wife Annie are trying hard to deny the story that he has put his account officer in the family way, the lady has finally broken her silence, revealing all that happened between she and Tuface.
Her name is Teniola and she is a big girl in one of the top banks in Lagos. She said 2face has been enjoying her secretly for sometime now until the "rough play" resulted in pregnancy and he started asking her to go in for an abortion but she refused. She said the story was leaked to the media so as to protect her life.

She decided to speak after Annie tried to defend Tuface. In the words of Teniola:

"My name is Teniola. Please I want my privacy kept secret. I just want to respond to Tuface’s denial of my pregnancy. I‘m 3.5 month pregnant for him and he is fully aware of it. His recent denial is to appease his wife and I understand that...

In his earlier reaction, Tuface had claimed that the story is false and that if he impregnated any lady he would be the first to tell the media. On her part, Annie Idibia said those who wrote it want to spoil her happiness.
But now that Teniola has finally come out to speak by herself, it's believed that Tuface may decide go and do the honourable thing then keep quiet and take care of his unborn baby mama as the price of his enjoyment".

Teniola said she is not for trouble but that Tuface should know that séx without condom leads to pregnancy.

Not long after she went into the rest room, her phone rang. Her innocent husband picked it and what he saw on the screen was SH – that is, Sweet Heart. Wondering who his wife could be referring to as such, he took a closer look at the number and discovered that it was his friend; not just his friend, but his closest friend, Shoga.

Quickly, he swapped his SIM with his wife’s. And as if on cue, text messages, both shocking and shameless, started flooding his phone. When he couldn’t take it any longer, he dialed his friend’s number. But thinking that it was his secret lover, the man began telling the ‘woman’ how much he’s missed her and how he can’t wait for her to meet him at their love haven. Unable to take it any further, the man started hurling curses and abuses at his friend, who instantly, cut him off.

Seething with rage, he pounced on his wife, beating her blue and black as soon she emerged from the shower room. The commotion from their home attracted some neighbors who first rescued her and thereafter rushed her to the hospital.

Their parents were alerted and they all converged at the couple’s residence in one of the highbrow areas on the Island. After being told the sordid details of their children’s séxcapades, they resolved that they all jet out of the country to cool off first. They've escaped from Nigeria.

But Bankole is still insisting on divorce his unfaithful wife or nothing. Shoga, of course, has since vamoosed.

Interestingly, the same Biodun has a fashion designer sister whose marriage crashed as she was also caught by her husband engaging in extra marital affairs.

A 40 year old man named Anthony Bankole killed himself today February 17th just two days after his wife died, according to a report by Premium Times.


Mr Bankole, whose wife was confirmed dead by doctors at the University Teaching Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, committed suicide at his uncompleted building site at Olodo area, Kumapayi, Ibadan, after leaving his rented apartment at Abayomi area of Iwo Road around 5.49 a.m.
A family source said the deceased told him he was going to use the ATM, when he was leaving in the morning, but later sent a text message to disclose his intention to commit suicide.
The source said Mr. Bankole gave no sign he wanted to take his life. "I even gave him money for his transport fare and told him not to stay out long. He lost his wife on Saturday and she is still in the mortuary; so I thought he needed money to pay or arrange for her burial,” he said.
Mrs. Bankole, who operated a business centre at the University College Hospital, UCH, died shortly after having a fight with her husband.

The source, who lives near the couple, narrated how her death occurred.
“We heard him (Mr. Bankole) shouting for help around 2 a.m. on Saturday. And with the help of another neighbour, she was rushed to the hospital; meanwhile she was already foaming from the mouth,” the source said.

Mr. Bankole’s corpse has been deposited at Adeoyo Hospital, Yemetu, Ibadan, mortuary.

Pastor Isaiah Willie Of Happy People Bible Church Urged Members Not To Backslide

Just like any other pastor, Isaiah Willie, the founder of Happy People Bible Church located in Ayobo, Lagos was planning to preach to his congregation when he was captured.

According to police findings, the 40-year-old pastor wasn’t only a fraudster, he was also an armed robber.

The married father of 2 who is now in police custody confessed to PUNCH that he had been an armed robber for many years.

Pastor Isaiah said he was arrested some years back and later let go.

Narrating how he and others usually perpetrated bank fraud, he said, “I used to work with a group of guys who are retired bankers. One of them was even a bank manager. Most times, we would get a virgin cheque of a bank customer and the owner’s signature.

“If the money is a large sum, the teller would contact the owner of the account on the telephone but we would have already hacked the telephone number of the customer such that when the bank calls the owner of the account for confirmation, it would be one of my members that would answer the call and give approval for withdrawal.

“We were able to perpetrate the fraud in Fortune Bank and African Express Bank which are both defunct now. Sometimes we, through the connivance of bank employees, used to clean out dead people’s accounts and use the money to do business. Most times, families of dead people don’t get to access their relative’s account until months or years after the person’s death.”

Willie said he was arrested by the police for his fraudulent activities but regained his freedom when his gang members secured his release.

PUNCH Metro learnt that about a year later after Willie had decided never to commit crimes, the pastor was lured back by a gang of robbers that specialised in breaking and stealing from Automated Teller Machines.

He said, “I met a man who is from my hometown, Confidence Saviour. He was wanted by the police so I told him he could live with me. A few weeks later, he told me to drop some equipment at a nearby bush and later that night, he gave me N10, 000.

“He eventually told me that he and his gang were breaking into ATMs and making a lot of money so I decided to join them. I never followed them for any operation but I usually left their operation tools -such as sledge hammer, generator and iron cutters- near the bank where they wanted to attack and I would leave.

“However, on one occasion, they went to rob at the Ayobo branch of Access Bank. Instead of dropping the equipment and collecting the usual N10, 000, I wanted more money this time around so I hid in a bush nearby. Unfortunately, the robbery did not go as planned as three policemen were killed at the scene. I was later arrested by SARS men when other gang members mentioned my name.”

The pastor who was crying in police detention said he had disappointed God. He begged police to give him another chance.

He even quoted Romans chapter 6 verse 1.

“Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. I know I have disappointed my congregation and I urge them not to backslide. I have been a preacher for over 10 years and I have led many people to God. My flesh was weak. I know that God will forgive me for my crime because I am genuinely sorry.” - Isaiah Willie said

For the first time, scientists in the US have successfully created human lungs in a lab, an exciting step forward in regenerative medicine. "It's so darn cool. It's been science fiction and we're moving into science fact," said a researcher at University of Texas Medical Branch, identified as Joan Nichols.

If the lungs work, they could help the more than 1,600 people awaiting a lung transplant. Lungs are one of the many body parts being manufactured in the lab. Parts, such as tracheas and livers, are even further along.

"Whole-organ engineering is going to work as a solution to the organ donor shortage."

This is according to Dr. Stephen Badylak, deputy director of McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.


The researchers in Texas started with lungs from two children who'd died from trauma, most likely a car accident, Nichols said. Their lungs were too damaged to be used for transplantation, but they did have some healthy tissue.

They took one of the lungs and stripped away nearly everything, leaving a scaffolding of collagen and elastin.

The scientists took cells from the other lung and put them on the scaffolding. They immersed the structure in a large chamber filled with a liquid "resembling Kool-Aid,", which provided nutrients for the cells to grow.

After about four weeks, an engineered human lung emerged. Wow! medical researchers are really going far.

Chinese zoo keepers managed to save the life of a mentally disturbed man after he announced he wanted to improve the lives of caged tigers at a local zoo by offering them his own body to eat.

Yang Jinhai, 27, had posted several online messages about how optimistic he was about starting a new life after getting a job as a security guard in Chengdu in southwest China’s Sichuan province.

But he quickly found the job boring and monotonous and moved instead to a job in a printing factory where he also then resigned, saying that he felt there was more to life.

After going to the local zoo he wrote how depressing it was to see the ‘noble and magnificent tigers’ living in such humble surroundings, where they were caged and unable to follow their natural instincts to hunt and kill..

He then announced that he had decided to sacrifice himself in order to provide the Bengal tigers with support.

Eyewitness Feng Lin said: ‘He climbed up the outside of the cage and jumped inside expecting, I assume, that the tigers would pounce on him. Instead the two tigers, a male and a female, seemed more nervous than anything else and the female actually ran off.

Jamie Coots, a Pentecostal church pastor and star of National Geographic’s reality show “Snake Salvation,” died Saturday night in his Kentucky home after being bitten on his right hand by one of his snakes.

The Middlesboro Police Department told WBIR that Coots was found dead in his home around 10 p.m. Saturday night after leaving his Middlesboro, K.Y., church, the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus' Name, where he suffered a bite from a venomous snake during an evening church service.

Multiple sources report that when an ambulance crew and firefighters showed up at the pastor’s residence, Coots refused to be taken to the hospital for treatment of the snake bite. Coots was a member of a Pentecostal church whose followers practice snake handling and believe in faith healing.

During an episode of “Snake Salvation,” Coots, who comes from a long line of snake handlers, said that he believed a passage in the Bible suggests that church members cannot be harmed by venomous snakebites as long as they were anointed by God, according to CNN. The passage comes from the book of Mark, chapter 16.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover,” the passage reads.
