Last Wednesday I showed you the pics of Don Jazzy and his P.A, Sameerah Ahmed. Though the pic was taken separatly, naija people still think there must be something romantic between the two. And the breakfast they had that morning became very controversial.

Saudi-Bound Jet Makes Emergency Landing In Sokoto As Tyres Explode Mid-Air


A Saudi bound Kabo Air plane carrying 400 passengers from Kano made an emergency landing at the Sir Abubakar III international Airport in Sokoto early today.

Boeing 747 jumbo jet left Kano on Friday en route to Saudi Arabia had to divert to Sokoto after several of its tyres exploded immediately after it took off the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.

All the passengers aboard the airline have been evacuated from the plane and lodged in a hotel in the ancient city.

The incident is happening on the heels of the crash of an Embraer aircraft belonging to Associated Airlines with registration number 5N-BIT which plunged to the ground in Lagos shortly after take-off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. The 30-seater aircraft, which had 20 passengers including seven crew members on board, crashed about 9:30am killing 13

It’ll cost you much less (N2,500). Just pay the security man there (pointing to a bank opposite) and it’s as good as done,” a call girl said.

A bank? Yes. By 4pm on any business day, the doors of banks in Lagos State, like in every other part of the country, are shut to customers. But by 10pm, many of these banks play host to another set of customers.

Investigation reveals that the numerous commercial sex workers who throng the Allen Avenue-Opebi and GRA Ikeja business districts in Lagos, make use of bank premises to service their customers.

The Allen Avenue and Opebi axis is known as a hub for commercial sex workers in Lagos mainland. It is not strange to see scantily-dressed young women of all shapes and sizes parading both sides of the road at the Opebi Roundabout around 10pm every night.

During a visit to a popular club in Opebi, where many of these commercial sex workers station themselves, Saturday PUNCH had a chat with a 29 year old young man who confirmed that he had used the premises of a bank for ‘short time’ purpose.

The security man is the main brain behind the deal. The young man's account

The young man says no matter how tired he is after closing for the day in the insurance company where he works, he likes to visit the clubs in the area.

He says, “I was going home after visiting some clubs in Opebi one Friday night and I was bored. While driving through Allen, I saw a girl that caught my fancy and I stopped to talk to her. I knew I could not take her home. So, I asked where we could do a ‘short time’ and she pointed to a bank.

“I did not understand what she meant. There was an ATM at the front of the bank, so I thought she meant that I had to withdraw money and pay her first. But before I could say anything, she said I should go and talk to the security man at the bank and give him N500. She told me the guard would watch over my car as well. After we were done, I gave the girl N1,500. That was a funny time because we even broke the security man’s bench and had to leave in a hurry before he noticed.”

That was indeed a funny story.

There is no magic; I just find myself like this. It’s true people tell me that I don’t look my age and whenever they say so, I get back home and look at myself in the mirror. But within myself, I know I am old. Truth is, I don’t have any magic than to give God the glory for a good health.

Maybe you do sports to keep you in shape.
Well, I wouldn’t call myself a sports man in that sense but I love sports. Within my compound, I have a scotch court, tennis court, small basketball court and other outdoor sports but that doesn’t mean I do sports often. The stage alone is enough sport where I dance and jump all over the place. I think that I am just lucky because I don’t wake up in the morning and do any exercise like a workout.

KUNLE Rotimi-Akodu, a friend to Deji Falae, one of the victims of the ill-fated chartered flight that crashed in Lagos on Thursday, said he had been feeling disappointed to have missed the flight before receiving the news of the incident.

Rotimi-Akodu said he was meant to be with his friend, Deji, who was a commissioner in Ondo State, in the Associated Airlines plane for the Lagos to Akure journey but that he providentially got to his friend’s house late and missed the flight.

He was in tears at the crash site on Thursday.

He said, “My last encounter with him was on the phone. We spoke about how we could meet and he told me that he had some official duties, especially the funeral programme of the former governor of their state. So, we planned to meet in Lagos. We still spoke on Tuesday and he said he would be in Lagos.

“We were supposed to see but unfortunately I couldn’t make it. I called him and he said I should join him today so that we would return to Akure together on the same plane that crashed. He said I should make haste to meet up, but I had an emergency issue to resolve.

“By the time I actually got to his house, the housemaid told me he had left and the wife had left home too. The housemaid said, ‘Oga just left, he said you should find your way to Akure.’ I felt disappointed for him to have done that, but because of the kind of person he was, I began to plan my trip to Akure to meet him and incidentally, I learnt that a plane crashed as I wanted to leave home and that Deji was also involved in the accident. I was dumb-founded when I heard. I looked up in my room and saw the catalogue of pictures we took together and tears began to drop from my eyes. I looked at the text messages we shared and began to picture myself being with him in the plane because that was the initial arrangement, if not that I was a bit late to join him. “Honestly, it is still like a dream. I don’t want to believe Deji is dead. I believe he is alive and he is still going to live his normal life. We have lived together for years in Dolphin Estate. I have known him for over 15 years, when he was still studying in University of Ife. We have always been close since late 80s.”

Then someone said there was this new guy and then they played his song and I liked it. Sometime later, we were at Cool FM and I spotted him jumping about and being very playful. He was so energetic; I liked him instantly and wanted him as my loveinterest in the video. So my manager called him up, he was so nice, he came over, we talked and he told me the day we were going to shoot the Video was his birthday. Then I got scared that he might not make it. Unfortunately, on the day of the shoot, he got robbed that morning but he still made it to the shoot and then left after his part. We’ve been friends ever since

It did! Less than 20 minutes after we put up the picture on Instagram, it just went crazy and we were not even in Lagos; we were in Abuja. We went for the Hennessy Artistry and we were at the airport before we went to the hotel, so we were just taking pictures then before we knew it, it was everywhere. But for the timely intervention of the producer of the movie shot in Owerri, a free for all fight between the controversial actress, Uche Ogbodo and costumier would have turn to brawl.
