Apparently, Jegede (and sooooooooo many Nigerian celebs :-) ) do not like Yvonne Nelson and Jegede is not afraid to air her dislike for the actress.
It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences.
Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action.
Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.
Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.
Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry. We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours."
According to reports, around 20 men, with their faces covered, had attacked some Nigerians outside a restaurant in Parra village. While Uzoma escaped the first attack, he and another Nigerian, Obinna Paul Obi, were again targeted some time later, about a kilometre away from the restaurant. And this time, Uzoma was hacked to death.
Bitterly angered by Uzoma's death, hundreds of Nigerians staged a protest against the killing. It was during the protest this Nigerian in the video was subjected to a shocking, violent assault by groups of Indians.
Ilorin—Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara has said only Senator Bukola Saraki can negotiate on behalf of the state chapter of the PDP on whether they should join the All Progressive Congress, APC, or not.
This was even as he has pledged to find a lasting solution to the communal clash between Alapa and Agboro communities in the state.
Ahmed said this, yesterday, in Ilorin when he received the national leaders of APC, who were in the state to invite him to join the party.
The governor is one of the seven PDP governors currently having a misunderstanding with their party.
Ahmed said though APC was a formidable party, PDP was taking necessary measures to resolve the crisis within its ranks.
He, however, said given the prevailing political structure in Kwara, only Saraki could determine the next move of the PDP members in the state.
Ahmed said the people of the state belong to a political dynasty and would not give away the structure at any cost.
“It is an existing structure for the past 40 years with assured election winning machinery”, he said.
He, however, said the dynasty was ready to collaborate with any political party with a view to moving the nation forward. His words: “The APC has turned itself into a formidable party. One can reasonably say that the leadership of the party has come to Kwara to market the party.
“But before anything else, let me tell the leaders of the APC that we have a structure called ‘Election Winning Machinery’ here in Kwara State.
“We are one big family here, under a political structure inherited by our leader, Dr Bukola Saraki. He has given all of us joy and comfort that he can lead us well.
“That is why we want to see ourselves joining hands with any party with respect for internal democracy because that is where our strength lies.”
Former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu had earlier called for the progressive-minded Nigerians to close ranks with a view to bringing positive changes to the polity.
He said given its abundant material resources, the nation should not be suffering from high rate of unemployment and poverty.
Tinubu described the APC as a child of necessity, formed in order to save the country from its present social, political and economic problems.
Other members of the delegation included, former Head of State Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), APC Interim National Chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former governor of Edo, Mr. John Oyegun, former governor of Benue Mr. George Akume and former Speaker, House of Representatives, Aminu Masari, among others.
Meanwhile, speaking when he inaugurated a seven-member judicial commission of enquiry into the Alapa-Agboro communal clash in Asa Local Government Area of the state, Gov. Abdulfatah promised to find lasting solution to the crises.
He was represented by his deputy, Elder Peter Kishira, described the destruction of lives and property during the crisis as alien to the ways of life of people of the state.
Ahmed condemned the increasing use of violence as a means of settling disputes between hitherto friendly neighbours, reiterating that violence had never been part of “our culture in Kwara State”.
He, however, pleaded with the people of the community to bury the hatchet and live in peace.
He vowed that everything possible would be done to ensure that the incident did not happen again. Ahmed enjoined the commission to identify the perpetrators of the violence and proffer solutions to the perennial dispute.
The committee’s Chairman, Justice Baba Muhammed, thanked the government for the confidence reposed in the members of the committee.

It has always bugged me the way women commoditise their bodies: slathering on cosmetics, changing their hair colour, getting boob jobs, injecting botox into their faces and the list goes on and on. Apart from the fact we’re told we men should not objectify women when women clearly are the biggest segxwal objectifiers of their bodies, I found myself worried that such women have no honour. A big part about honour is honesty and a woman with a fake body is not being honest about herself. For me as a man, I look at a woman’s body and her features to guage how healthy she is physically and if she would produce good children for me because frankly I’m shopping for a good mother for my children.
This woman committed fraud and I feel for the poor husband here. He obviously was looking out for the best interests of his children when he selected this woman, meanwhile she was only thinking about the best interests of herself. This woman frankly should not have been able to reproduce because she’s the carrier of genetic refuse. Think about it, would you want to have children with a haemophiliac, a person with Huntington’s victim or Down’s syndrome? Of course you wouldn’t, and not because you hate the person with the disease, but because you love your future children too much to put them through such torment. I applaud the judge’s decision here in this case, this man’s children have been afflicted in a way that will stay with them all their lives and if we give them cosmetic surgery too then this crime will only repeated itself. I’m hoping in the near future we will see many more cases like this and more lawsuits against women who get cosmetic surgery. Beauty is not skin deep, it’s in your genes and if you think otherwise you’re the shallow one here.

I began writing, yesterday, about the recent potential legal drama between Don Jazzy and Wande Coal to discuss the alleged claim of Intellectual Property theft and legal issues present, which I will still do, albeit on a different post. However, while writing, I just got tired, like really tired of the state of the industry and the foolishness being served of late.
Eyin Nigerian artists eti su mi, really (you Nigerian artists make me weary, really). Sheesh. Y’all can be off the hook, many times. You’ve got a grown man and so called boss for that matter such as Don Jazzy displaying foolish behavior of the highest order on twitter; and crying about a problem he created in the first place.
What are we supposed to do Don Jazzy? You are the business man, you also should have some scars to show from the epic Mo’Hits fallout/ dissolution that you “get it.” Didn’t you at least learn something from that? What’s good? I really tiyah, for real.
ON A DAY THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALL ABOUT TIWA SAVAGE’S RELEASE OF HER SONG ‘EMINADO’(Goodluck charm) featuring Don Jazzy, Don Jazzy totally pooped on that parade and brought the bad luck charm by undermining Tiwa Savage’s shine with his silly cries on twitter about an alleged theft by his former artist.
Are Wande Coal and Don Jazzy mates? What rubbish?! Why is Don Jazzy, the egbon (older one and adult) and most importantly the boss getting on twitter and stooping down to this kind of level as a business owner and leader in the industry? It is embarrassing and unacceptable. It also is ridiculous because from the facts, HE CREATED THE PROBLEM.
How can you not have your split sheets in place as a producer? I don’t care if the artist is your mother, father, sister, brother, girlfriend, wife, gay partner or what have you. You get that in place!
How, at this point in your career, do you get into a studio with your artist and not delineate the lines on who owns what? If you made music under Mavin Records, the music belongs to Mavin, if you signed the proper legal documents evidencing this basic arrangement. You’ve got the sound recording belonging to Mavin. The lyrics and composition also probably belong to Mavin, at least a large portion, given the kinds of agreement I see artists sign with labels in Nigeria with certain aspects in music publishing that differs from us here in the States, so why are we even here?
You clearly did not do this because Wande Coal can produce the original demo song of which he co-authored with you; with no delineation of those rights spelt out. Are we suppose to cry or be sad for you? Why?
As Wande Coal correctly indicated in his tweet, Jazzy has Coal’s phone number and contacts and could have easily contacted him to resolve the dispute, privately. He did not do so. Instead, he chose to follow an impulsive, selfish and egotistical act on twitter that instantly shifted the attention from the release of Tiwa Savage’s beautiful ‘Eminado’ video, all in less than twenty four hours, to a showing to the world that Nigeria’s music industry and its leaders have no focus, no direction and is a big joke.
When was the last time you saw any of the label heads in the USA, including Jimmy Lovine, Diddy and even Kanye West get on twitter to fight artists who allegedly steal their work?
Okay. Hold up. Wait a minute. Don Jazzy, if you are invoking the law and claiming infringement of your “intellectual property” what exactly are we doing on twitter? That’s all legal speak which means lawyers get involved to either help work things out and get you compensated on some licensing deal, for the sampling or explicit copying of your work, or we get into the courtroom. What are we doing on twitter?
I am truthfully exhausted with the frequency/rate of foolishness coming out of the industry from leaders and industry professionals at large. It is alarming and you should be worried about the state of this music ecosystem, if you care both about your country and music, in general. This is unacceptable.
Don Jazzy owns Mavin Records. Tiwa co-owns 323 with T-Billz. Shouldn’t Don Jazzy at this point in his career know that he undermines the marketing and selling of Tiwa Savage’s song with this foolishness? What’s the brand partnership agreement they signed? Anyone have a copy because there should be a clause preventing this kind of behavior. Yes, I am really tired with the foolishness.
Our industry is just looking a big mess and very silly to me right about now. We look foolish both locally and internationally. We act silly with our business ventures, we are very reactionary on social media, we let egos get in the way, from the likes of Jason Njoku to his ex-CEO Michael Ugwu. Y’all didn’t think that I thought Ugwu came with clean hands did you? He was one of the first shouting on AML, right here, when I questioned the rapid jump and growth of IROKO into the music market under IROKING, about how I was dead wrong and all the m/billion page views IROKO received blah, blah.
Well, what happened? Ugwu was the CEO of IROKING, and he did not deliver. That was his terrain. Granted Jason Njoku’s egotistical self got in the way and he released the foolish press release that created what has to be the worse PR and disgraceful employer/employee and pr fail ever for a new brand; but nevertheless, what the heck? IROKING is being scrapped under Ugwu’s watch as CEO. What happened to all the “b/million” views et al. Ugwu had a responsibility to also deliver.
Have y’all heard of Chinedu Echeruo? The Nigerian-American who created HotStop in New York and this year allegedly sold the company to Apple for $1Billion? For all the years Echeruo helped build and operate his company,you never heard the fella display the kind of ego that he should arguably display. As he said, he checked it at the door, and today, we all point to him as a shinning example of what a successful Nigerian owned business and entrepreneur should look like.
Can we all take a page from Echeruo i.e. have a healthy dose of humility, get your entertainment business in order and have even more humility? Who said it would be easy? Practice!
Our industry was exciting, fun, young and filled with so much hope but in less than two years, it looks a shamble. From 9ice, Mo’Hits, Knight House, Storm 360 to eLDee (I am unsure why everyone keeps leaving Trybes Records, including Sarz, of late), EME, to Chocolate City and so many other labels in between, you gotta ask, what the heck is going on? Our creativity is at an all time low and we spew nonsense both on our airways and in our music videos thinking we can sustain this industry with the mess. Industry, what’s really good? Is this it? Like are we for real? Many of you who read AML are industry leaders. What’s really good, leaders? Seriously?
Artists walking out on label and management deals like they are visiting red light districts for one night stands, labels with no basic music business skills promising artists heaven and earth and getting screwed, plus left with heavy debts to deal with, diarrhea on twitter from industry heads and professionals who should know better as a means to resolve their legal issues and the list goes on. Common folks, give me a freaking break!
We want to be like the West, yet we lack the common sense to set the legal precedent and have our Nigerian courts determine legal issues that can move our society forward; to ensure the sustainability and success of our industry. Jesus, what’s with this foolishness? Really? Why do we as a community of business owners and industry professionals keep choosing to display juvenile behavior on social media platforms that really undermine the industry; and also affect our sister industries like fashion and film?
We are now at an age where the young ones look up to us and WE MUST respect ourselves with our dealings in front of them and with them. The baton has passed on to us and we are doing a terrible job as it stands with how we carry on with the business of music and resolving our issues. If we have issues with our young ones, then sort them out privately because if we can’t respect those behind us, guess what, they won’t respect us either and what lies ahead will not be pretty for us.
I, for the life of me, have no idea why we are even here. Can anyone tell me? Oh! Don Jazzy says Wande Coal stole his song from him. Don Jazzy at every step of this particular brouhaha clearly failed to protect the alleged rights stolen, which is unacceptable from a seasoned businessman, artist and music producer WHO WAS THE LABEL BOSS FOR A YOUNG MAN THAT HAS WORKED WITH AND LOOKED UP TO HIM FOR HIS ENTIRE CAREER! But, oh! We are suppose to cry with him on twitter. Because why?
Oh! And don’t get me started on COSON, MCSN and all the other entities adding to the current foolishness in the industry.

Following several reports in the social media that Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State was holding Clara, his wife in solitary confinement, .Com observed that some persons close to the wife contacted Femi Falana, a popular human rights activist, to help rescue the woman.
But in a bid to stop Falana, Governor Chime has opened up on his wife's true condition... He said it is not his will to subject his wife to such condition and that whatever is been done to her is for her own good and was put in place by professionals to save her from "shame and ridicule". Speaking to selected journalists on Tuesday night in the presence of some family members and his wife, who is said to be mentally unstable, Governor Chime said Femi Falana should not allow people to push him into taking any action against him as he is only trying to help his wife's situation.

“Well, my wife has some medical challenges, and it would be very unkind for me to talk about her condition on the pages of newspapers. I have done everything to protect her integrity and I’m not now going to expose her to ridicule because some people want to exploit her situation to drag me into a needless war of words.”

Some Nollywood stars under the umbrella of ANTP (Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners) are currently fighting over a whopping N600,000 donation made by a business tycoon in Ogun State.
According to Movie Moment, an anonymous business man recently donated the aforementioned sum for the treatment of ailing Yoruba actor Kayode Odumosu alias Pa Kasumu however, the donation has caused non-stop chaos among his colleagues.
The bone of contention is on the amount to be given to the actor out of the N600,000 since the money was donated under the leadership of the association.
Furthermore, a group of Nollywood practitioners that consists of production crew and veteran acts under the name of ‘committee of friends’ were said to have approached Pa Kasumu over creating a new account in which donations would be made but met a brickwall from the Odumosus.
As we speak, the total sum of N5.5m has been donated to actor Kayode Odumosu by Lagos and Ogun state government to fund his treatment.
The Odumosus have refused to comment on this controversial issue.

One Alaba boy was arrested at the recently concluded movie premiere of Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa.
According to sources, the actress lost her temper when she sighted a man recording her new movie, Unforgivable during the premiere.
The attempted piracy happened at the Silverbird cinema located inside Ikeja Mall, a young man allegedly smuggled his camera into the movie theatre and sat at the back to record the movie as it was been shown. A staff of Amzadol production (Dayo Amusa’s film production company) who saw the guy hinted the actress. The actress immediately called the attention of Femi Adebayo and Kunle Afolayan and the trio got hold of the man.

Some hours ago, Don Jazzy accused former label mate Wande Coal for allegedly stealing one of his songs titled ‘Baby face’.
According to reports, Tiwa and Don Jazzy were rejoicing over the positive responses from fans over the success of their recently released ‘Eminado’ video when suddenly wande released his own song and it instantly became a trending topic sweeping tiwas song into the rug, she then brought don jazzy’s attention to the released ‘Baby Face’ track.
A reliable source said, “Tiwa and Wande Coal haven’t always been friends, and she was the one that brought Don Jazzy’s attention to the baby face song. When Don Jazzy saw and heard the song, he was angry and had resolved to giving Wande Coal a call but Tiwa insisted that he should make it public.”
Tiwa allegedly said, “He can not continue to steal from you, he should at least be respectful enough to credit you, if you don’t do this, he will continue to steal your works, if you put it out on twitter, he’ll know you are serious. It’s wrong to always take people for granted.”
Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage is known for always attacking anyone who offends on twitter.

Nollywood actors and actresses are really getting it the way they want it with TB joshua's ministry as apart from now he has delivered the likes of the late Enebeli Elebuwa , Camilla Mgberekpe, Jim Iyke etc; and now its actress Nneoma Ukpabi.
Mrs Nneoma Ukpabi is a Nollywood actress who had the problem of an overdue pregnancy (10 months). She had previously undergone two Caesarians for her other children. She was again booked for an operation for the third time because her placenta could not support the baby.
The doctor stated that she could not undergo normal labour because it could become life threatening. A lady encouraged her to pray and believe in God and brought out the Anointing Water stating that it was from the SCOAN.
The lady ministered it to her in the name of Jesus Christ and 15 minutes later the first stage of labour took place as blood and water gushed out. She was taken to the hospital where she later delivered the baby safely without operation. The doctor was surprised that she delivered the baby safely without the operation she was booked for. She is now happy with her two months old baby girl, what a miracle!
A 33-year-old man was allegedly held at gunpoint and forced to have s*x with a woman in the backseat of a car after the woman’s female companion offered him a ride on the Near North Side over the summer. ciera-final The man begged one of his tormentors — who demanded he place his hands on her br**sts and buttocks during the July 26 attack — to stop, it was reported. BARELY two weeks after two persons were killed when youths and the police clashed in Ogoja, the northern part of Cross River State, another violent clash between two rival secret cult groups has left two youths dead.
The clash, which took place Sunday night reportedly started at the burial of a woman, Ma Alice Ogboja, when the cult groups said to be Norsemen and Klux Klan engaged each other in a free-for-all following an argument between two young men.
“The argument was simply between two young men but no sooner had we intervened to stop the exchange of words than other young men from both groups joined and a fight ensued,” an eye witness, Clemenson Mgbe, told Vanguard in Ogoja.
According to Clemenson, the burial took place in Akpakpanga village, some two kilometres from Igoli, the Ogoja central town.
He said: “Trouble started when a boy slapped a nursing mother and her boyfriend who is an alleged cultist confronted him and an argument started, and in the process a fight ensued.
“One of them brought a machete with which he inflicted a cut on one of the boys and that escalated matters.
“It was in a bid to retaliate the machete cut on their member that opposing members mobilised that night and attack members of the other group.
“They went from house to house where the other members live and a fierce battle ensued. Two boys were killed and the property of those they could not find at home were set ablaze.”
When Vanguard visited Ogoja, Monday afternoon, the streets of Abakpa where the fight took place were deserted as most young people had run away while shops and business outlets remained shut for fear of attack.
Commenting on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Cross River State Police Command, Hogan Bassey said: “There was a clash like that; you know with the universities shut, many boys are at home and such things are likely when youths are idle.” click HERE for more entertaining gists
The police in Ogun have arrested a 30-year-old panel beater, Wasiu Yusuf, for allegedly stabbing his friend, Adeolu Olatoye, to death in Abeokuta.
Another suspect in the alleged killing of the 32-year-old graphic artist, Mukaila Popoola, is currently on the run. The suspect’s wife, 26-year-old Busayo, is also in detention at the Adatan Police Station.
The victim, the suspect and his alleged accomplice lived in the same premises before the incident.
Our correspondent gathered that Adeolu was allegedly killed by Yusuf and his accomplice in their residence in the Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta for allegedly having an affair with his wife.
Olatoye was said to have met his death barely two weeks after he named his new born child. The victim was also said to be making preparations for his mother’s 80th birthday.
Police sources disclosed that during interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to attacking the deceased when he visited his wife in their matrimonial home.
The suspect was said to have further claimed that the victim mistakenly stabbed himself during a scuffle between them while attempting to escape from his room.
But an eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, claimed that Olatoye had gone to his friend’s room on the middle floor of the two-storey building to give him an invitation card for his mother’s 80th birthday scheduled to hold on Saturday when the suspect allegedly attacked him with broken bottles.
The deceased’s elder brother, Akinyemi Olatoye, also insisted that his late brother had gone to his alleged attacker’s home to drop a copy of the invitation card for their mother’s birthday.
Akinyemi said his deceased brother and the suspect were bossom friends.
Confirming the incident, the acting State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police were investigating the incident.
