Popular comic actor, Hafiz Oyetoro, otherwise known as Saka has lost his father to death. The older Oyetoro, Pa Dauda reportedly died on Saturday morning.
Though we could not confirm the cause of his death, but he has since been buried. The deceased was laid to rest according to Islamic rites on Sunday at his country home in Koso, Iseyin, Oyo State.
50-year-old Saka gained phenomena limelight when MTN snatched him from Etisalat and used him for their number portability campaign called 'porting'.

The news everywhere is that the Imo State Government pay 10,000naira monthly allowance to Imo State Corps Members but how true is that?
I serve in Imo State and I cannot deny the fact that sometime last month I received 10,000naira credit alert from the treasury of the State Government.
But something is not right here. More than 70percent of Imo corps members did not receive this allowance and the news we heard later on was that the money was paid to only corpers posted to state govt parastatals.
But what baffles us all is the text message from the bank (credit alert content) observe something below:

The family, friends and colleagues of a professor of Nuclear Physics, James Olomo, are anxious over the whereabouts of the academic.
Our correspondent gathered that Olomo, a lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, left his work place for Eket, Akwa Ibom State, for a private business in the middle of October. He had not been seen since then.
It was learnt that the professor had told some friends and relations on the telephone from Eket, on Saturday, October 19, of his departure to Lagos. He had yet to be seen in the state.
One of his friends, who spoke with PUNCH Metro on the condition of anonymity, said, “It was on his return journey to Lagos the next day through Calabar, Cross River State, that something went amiss. I am very sure about that”
It was learnt that when nothing was heard from the professor after a few days, one of his relatives in Lagos became worried and called OAU to be sure if Olomo changed his mind and had gone to Ile-Ife instead of coming to Lagos.
The initial enquiry soon turned to panic as nobody was able to contact him.
It was learnt that although the family had reported the matter to the police, nothing had turned up to suggest where the man was.
The family, however, expressed optimism that the professor would be found alive.
A statement by the family secretary, Sule Salami, read in part, “We appreciate efforts made so far by all the arms of security, colleagues, friends and his employers to solve the riddle of his disappearance, but we are sad that Olomo, whom we believe is alive, is still held incommunicado by some persons.”
The OAU management, however, said it was not treating Olomo’s disappearance as kidnapping, but rather, as a case of missing person.
A statement by the OAU Public Relations Officer, Biodun Olarewaju, said there was no enough evidence to conclude that he was kidnapped.
Olarewaju said, “One of our senior lecturers is missing. We have put the security agencies on the alert. We seek the intervention of public to provide information about his whereabouts to the nearest police station or the university management.
“All efforts to trace him have proved abortive. We don’t know if he has been kidnapped; but if he is, we expected that the abductors should have contacted either the school authority or his family for a ransom, but that has not been done.”
Head of Physics Department, OAU, Joshua Ojo, described his disappearance as shocking.
“We are indeed at a loss. Olomo has been instrumental to the development of this department and a very amiable person. We pray that he will be found very soon”, he said.
The State Security Service (SSS) today in Abuja paraded five suspected Boko Haram members alleged to have planned deadly attacks on Igala, Kogi State.
Among the suspects were Dr. Mohammad Nazeef Yunus, an Assistant Lecturer in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Kogi State University. He was said to be the Spiritual Leader and Coordinator for Boko Haram in the State, and the leader of the gang.
Nazeef, who was born in Idah, Kogi State, attended the Arabic Central Primary School in that town, and El-Kanemi College, Maiduguri. He also studied at the Islamic School, University of Medina, in Saudi Arabia and served in the National Youth Service Corp in 1995 at Al-Iman Secondary School, Dogon Dutse, in Jos.
Nazeef earned a Masters Degree in Arabic from the University of Jos. Just last year, he earned a Ph.D in Islamic Studies from Kogi State University.
Also arrested by the SSS were Umar Musa (Instructor), Mustapha Yusuf, Ismaila Yunusa, Mohammed Nasir, and Ibrahim Isa.
SSS spokesperson Marilyn Ogar said the suspects were planning to carry out an attack on Igala Land but were arrested at Zuba white mosque near Abuja on their way to Zambisa in Maiduguri for training. They were also going to install Sharia in Kogi State. Umar Musa (Head of Operations/Instructor) confessed publicly that he was employed by Boko Haram as Instructor after he lost his job with the state teaching hospital, and was taken to the Sambisa camp of the sect for a week’s training on handling weapons. He said he was deployed to the education unit of the camp as Munzi (instructor) and placed on a monthly salary of N50,000. He further stated that he and Yusuf later returned from Sambisa and re-united with Nazeef in Kogi State where they plotted to carry out violent attacks in Igala land. He maintained that Nazeef appointed him the Head of Operations and munzir. Mustapha Yusuf (Armourer/Chief Courier) and Ismaila Abdulazeez (Foot soldier) confessed that that Nazeef was their teacher who teaches them Jihad and Islamic Sharia.
Ogar told newsmen that the suspects will soon be charged to court.

The killing of a female community leader by a trailer in Abule-Egba in Lagos on November 13 has been linked to the convoy of the First Lady of Kwara State, Omolewa Ahmed. The community leader, Victoria Adeoye, 63, was killed when a tipper-trailer ploughed into bystanders as it tried to avoid a head-on collision with Mrs. Ahmed’s convoy, which was driving on the wrong side of the road. Unconcerned, Mrs. Ahmed and her convoy of about seven cars abandoned the accident victims and sped on towards Abeokuta. The Kwara First Lady was on her way from visiting popular Fuji musician, Kollington Ayinla, who was receiving treatment at Hamkad Hospital for an undisclosed ailment. Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred when the fourth vehicle in the convoy was exiting the small road leading to the hospital. Mrs. Adeoye and a roadside ice cream seller were killed. In order to cover up the cause of the accident, authorities at Hamkad Hospital gagged their workers from disclosing their VIP guest, and swiftly moved Alhaji Ayinla to another hospital.
Mrs. Adeola’s son, Olusegun Adeoye, an Abuja-based medical doctor, told SaharaReporters that Hamkad has refused to disclose the killers of his mother. SaharaReporters however learnt from people in the area that although the plate numbers of the vehicles were covered, policemen in Mrs. Ahmed’s convoy had freely chatted with people in the area and disclosed they were from Kwara State. SaharaReporters approached Dr. Femi Akorede, a spokesperson to the Kwara State governor, who admitted that the convoy at the hospital was that of the Kwara State First lady. However, he vehemently denied that the convoy caused the tragic accident, claiming instead that the brakes of the tipper-trailer failed and endangered the First Lady’s convoy. It is unclear how he obtained those details since he was not on Mrs. Ahmed’s detail. Asked why the First Lady’s convoy did not at least stop to assist the victims of the accident they witnessed even on compassionate grounds, he said she was only made aware of it after she returned to Ilorin, the state capital. Eyewitnesses however, contradicted Akorede’s account, insisting that the accident happened as the convoy harassed motorists on the highway, causing the trailer to careen off the highway and then slam into several people, including Mrs. Adeoye who was at the bus stop on her way to Oshodi. The Lagos State police also tried to cover up the cause of the accident by trying to use force to move the vehicles, until a mob prevented them from doing so. The accident occurred within 24 hours after another a similarly reckless convoy of the Kogi State Governor killed Professor Festus Iyayi, a former Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) President, on his way to an ASUU conference in Kano on November 12
