Finally! ASUU has called off its 5 month old strike.
Meanwhile, The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has set up an 18 member committee to monitor the utilization of the N200 billion fund given to universities by the Federal Government as part of its deal with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

 NANS president, Comrade Yinka Gbadebo said the committee was to ensure that there was transparency in the utilization of the Fund and to forestall further incidence of Industrial Action.

According to eye witness the victim is at the hospital presently undergoing treatment due to the injury she sustained from the rape the residence of olodi apapa was not happy with this incident so they took justice into their own hands by beating the kidnapper half death

Tiwa Savage has earned a place for herself as one of Nigeria’s favourite artistes since the release of her 2010 debut single Kele Kele Love. The song which was released while Tiwa was still in the US, topped charts instantly but it was the follow up single ‘Love me, Love me, Love me’ that won the hearts of many.
Speaking on The Headies 2013, Tiwa says, “Being the 8th year, it’s not easy to be consistent in a country like Nigeria. So kudos to the organizers for creating an award by Nigerians for Nigerians…it’s always sketchy when the nomination list comes up, like this year. We are not going to touch on that, we’ll just wait for the night and address those issues and we’ll go ‘all Kanye West’ on the awards…”
The Over the Moon hit maker couldn’t hold back his excitement over the organizers’ decision to choose him as a co-host for The Headies 2013. ‘I’ve been trying to host this event for the past 6 years, I’ve waited to be called to no avail and this year I’m hosting. Nelson Mandela’s daughter, Makaziwe, has told the BBC about the “wonderful” final hours of the former president, who died aged 95 last Thursday. Ms Mandela said his wife, Graca, the children and grandchildren were all there to say goodbye.
South Africa is observing a series of commemorations over the next week leading up to the funeral on Sunday. More than 100 current or former heads of state or government will attend the funeral or Tuesday’s national memorial.
Makaziwe told the BBC’s Komla Dumor that “Until the last moment he had with us, you know… The children were there, the grandchildren were there. Graca was there. So we are always around him and even at the last moment, we were sitting with him on Thursday the whole day.”
She added that “I think from last week Friday until Thursday, it was a wonderful time. If you can say the process of death is wonderful. But Tata (Nelson Mandela) had a wonderful time, because we were there.

Davido's HKN Gang has been accused of snatching a music producer from a record label, Born Winners Empire (BWE).
The artiste in the middle of the controversy is Joshua Boafo, aka JoshBeatz.
On November 21, 2013, Davido took to twitter to announce the signing of the music producer. He wrote, 'welcome JoshBeatz to the family. HKN Gang newest member. Congrats.'

According to Nigeriafilms.com, a signed statement by BWE disclosed that Davido's tweet came as an "embarrassment and sad surprise because Davido is well aware that JoshBeatz is on a valid contract with BWE" because "he and his crew have visited our Lekki office/studios a few times when JoshBeatz recorded him on a track for the 'JoshBeatz Mixtape.'
It was also stated in the press release that, "we have utmost respect for Davido and HKN, and we contacted them to verify the situation, but they said it was just a random casual tweet by Davido and they have no interest in signing the young producer. Yet we continued to observe a manipulative and deceitful under-the table approach to woo our artist/producer."
"HKN further went ahead last week to release recorded materials produced by JoshBeatz whom they tagged 'HKN newly signed producer'.
"Music business is serious business, and there are rules to the trade. We must put a stop to this hell-destined 'Hustle and Blow' mentality and observe mutual respect as music business professionals. In an industry that is constantly faced with flagrant disregard and abuse of contractual commitment, it is disappointing that even well established record labels will now manipulate and conspire with Artistes to breach contracts. Its a shame indeed," BWE noted.
In view of this, the label "has opted to terminate his (JoshBeatz) contract forthwith. We are not asking for any damages, and we do not wish to be drawn into controversies with anyone.

Tastes of Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, regarding what kind of women he likes seem to have changed.
In his earlier interview, given to Punch journalists, he said,
"With due respect to slim ladies, there is no way any lady shaped like a broom can attract my full attention. I'm sorry but that's the truth. My ideal woman must be God-fearing. She must have all the basic curves in the right places. The rounder and bigger her chest and backside, the better."
Now Don Jazzy claims to prefer slim ladies more.
In a very recent interview with Yes! Magazine, he said,
"See, I'm very very dangerous in the sense that my mind can change sometimes. For instance, a lot of people used to think that I like people with big hips and big nyansh - big-figured people.
"But I woke up one morning and everything changed. I'm a totally different person now and I like my women straight up from the runway - Lepa to bad (Smiles).
Some of my friends say I'm having midlife crisis, but that's what I like now."
