DESCRIPTION: This video was uploaded on YouTube yesterday, and the alleged story behind it is that the man you will see being brutalised in the video is a Nigerian. He was stripped and beaten up by some South African police men. LATEST REPORT ON IT: It has been reported that the South Africa's Police Service is currently investigating this misconduct by officers in Cape Town after the footage was posted on Facebook yesterday. According to a local news report, South African News organisation, ENCA, the man being beaten was arrested for interfering with Police business, he was later released without being charged. His nationality wasn't mentioned either. The two officers involved have now been suspended.

Billionaire business man Aliko Dangote says he is ready to redeem his promise of awarding $1m to the Super Eagles for winning the 2013 African Cup of Nations last year in South Africa. He said this a few days after goal keeper and Super Eagles vice-captain Vincent Enyeama begged him and others who pledged various things to the team to fulfill their promises.
"We understand the busy schedule of Alhaji Dangote, we are just asking his aides to help remind him of the promise to us. It’s just a reminder to patriots who are very busy and may not have been prompted after they made their pledges, because the players are determined to bring more honours to fatherland at the forthcoming World Cup” Enyeama said
Speaking with BBC Sports, Dangote said the only reason he hasn't redeemed his promise was because nobody from the team or NFF had contacted him
"We’ve been waiting for Nigerian officials to collect the money but nobody has written to us. We will write to them, asking for the account numbers of the players, then we’ll make the transfer immediately.”
This Malaysian plane disappearance has to be the most mysterious incident that has happened in recent history. Late yesterday, relatives of some of the passengers on board the vanished aircraft who are lodged in a hotel, claimed they were still able to call the cellphones of their missing loved ones.
Washington Post reports that some relatives said that they were getting ring tones and could see them active online through a Chinese instant messenger service called QQ. One man in particular claimed he could see that the QQ account of his brother-in-law showed him as online, but when he sends a message, he gets no reply. The calls have also not been picked up. This is scary!
Malaysian Police have released images of the two men who boarded the missing Malaysia Airlines flight with stolen passports but say one of the men, 19-year-old Iranian Pouria Nur Mohammad Mehrdad, (pictured left) is known to them and they do not think he is a terrorist.

Malaysian police say the identity of the other man is still under investigation and no longer strongly believes that the missing plane was attacked by terrorists. They say are now looking into four main areas: sabotage, hijacking or psychological problems among either the crew or the passengers.
40 year old Nigerian man Chris Chidi Dinneya (pictured above) has been jailed for three and a half years for duping an 81 year old pensioner from Cambridge of £300,000 out of his life savings. Dinneya told the old man, who was not named publicly, that he had won the Spanish Lottery and the victim believed that he was set to receive a large payout that he continued to pay even after police launched an investigation.
Police and a County Council were forced to apply for a court order to take control of the elderly victim's bank accounts to prevent him from sending more cash to the fraudster.
A number of the payments was traced to Dinneya who was promptly arrested. He was convicted on money laundering charges and jailed for a total of three-and-a-half years on March 4.

“I knew him barely two weeks ago and we were talking business. But he raped me on our first meeting in his house.

“She was the one who arranged the meeting at Obesere’s house, but Obesere made me wait for at least five hours until it became late for me to go after the meeting.
“Even when I insisted, he refused to let me go claiming his area was not safe and that everybody knew I was in his house.
“I slept over, but not in his room. He raped me and inserted a ring in my private part. I wouldn’t have gone to the Police if it was just the rape because it was my fault. As an adult, I should have known the danger of passing the night in a stranger’s house.
“I went to the police because I was bleeding and when I informed him about it, he didn’t take me seriously. He asked me to go to a private hospital in Ejigbo. But when I got there, the doctor did not even touch or examine me in any way.
“He just asked that I go for a scan, which is not done in that hospital. I left the hospital in pain and I reported the matter to the police.
“I wanted the police to be aware of what happened and prosecute him for forcefully having sex with me against my wish. “I also have to clarify the issue of wanting to blackmail him. From the beginning, I rejected all the money he offered me as settlement.
“You can ask the DPO at Isolo. He is aware that I rejected all the money he offered me. All I wanted was for him to be prosecuted for taking advantage of me because I slept in his house.
“Also, I wanted him to explain to the Police why he inserted a ring into my private part that made bleed for two weeks and possibly reverse any ritual step he may have taken.
“As I speak with you, I am still going through pains. After the bleeding stopped, I have continued to have problems with my reproductive organs. That was why I went to the police, I wanted them to investigate and prosecute him.
“But what I am getting from the IPO is terrible. He is trying to destroy the case and set Obesere free at the expense of my life and dignity.
“He discarded the medical report from the General Hospital and he upheld that of Obesere’s private hospital, saying their report was the correct one. As I speak with you I am not feeling well at all.”
The State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, has arraigned a 28-year-old man, Gbenga Asaye, before a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court for allegedly abducting and molesting a student of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin. The police said the incident happened at the Agege area of the state.
It was learnt that the 18-year-old victim had left her mother’s shop on January 21, 2014 for school, but had transportation challenge due to lack of money. She reportedly met Asaye, a family friend, on the road. He promised to assist her with money and take her back to school in his vehicle. The Ogun State indigene was said to have, however, taken the student to his house in Agege where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of the victim, who was a virgin before the encounter. The victim was said to have been abducted by the defendant for 21 days that the segxwal assault lasted. It was learnt that the victim did not escape because she could not muster the courage of telling her parents she had been deflowered. The mother was said to have reported a case of missing person at the Pen Cinema Police Station, after which enquires about the whereabouts of the victim led to the arrest of Asaye. He was arraigned on Monday before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court on one count of abduction. The charge reads, “That you, Gbenga Asaye, on January 21, 2014, at 3, Enimature Street, off Oyemekun Street, Agege Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District, did abduct one (name witheld), aged 18 years for the purpose of segxwal intercourse and held her against her consent until February 10, 2014.”
The police prosecutor, Corporal Cyriacus Osuji, said the offence was punishable under Section 266 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected summary trial. The victim, her mother and the Investigating Police Officer, Inspector Monday Ebuzume, were in court. The defence counsel, Gbolahan Samuel, applied for the bail of the defendant in liberal terms. “My Lord, this is not a case of abduction as it has been made to look on the charge sheet. It is a case of boyfriend and girlfriend,” he added. The magistrate, Ms Y.B. Badejo-Okusanya, however objected to giving of evidence, saying it was premature. She admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum. The matter was adjourned till March 31, 2014 for mention.
