|  Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker can no more work unaided, infact, he now goes about with clutches.  Vicker, who is very popular among Nigerian movie lovers, was reported to have injured himself while playing for the Ghanaian movie actors against their Nigerian counterparts in a football friendly match played at the Kumasi Sports Stadium recently. The football match was meant to mark Ghana's independence, unfortunately, Vicker got himself injured after ten minutes into the game and was rested for the remainder of the fun-filled match. While earlier reports suggested that the actor was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ghana and that he would be fine after few days, the pictures above say otherwise. We hope the talented actor gets back on his feet unaided soonest. Ghana defeated Nigeria 3-1 in the match. Aside Vicker, other stars that played for the Ghanaian Actors Guild were Bill Asamoah, Bernard Aduse-Poku, Bill Asamoah, Prince David Osei, Akrbeto, and Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win. |   Veteran actress, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, says even though she's in her 70s, she's not ruling out marriage. In an interview with Sunday Express, the legendary actress, who lost her husband many years back, said she can never say never when it comes to remarrying and at the moment, a 53 year old man is 'toasting' her. When asked if remarriage was still on her card, she responded: "I wouldn't say no. I am still alive (laughs). We can't foreclose. Its silly to say I'll never remarry. I could have remarried if the circumstances had been different. I have a 53year old man who wants to marry me. When you fall in love, you fall in love. |   69 people including men, women and children were killed in separate attacks and several houses razed in 3 villages in Katsina State this week. Fulani Herdsmen have been accused of being behind the recent attack. Confirming the attack to AFP, a lawmaker in the state, Honorable Abbas Abdullahi Michika said the men attacked three villages; Mararrabar Maigor, Kura Mota and Maigura Villages, where 47, 7 and 8 bodies were recovered from each village respectively "So far, 69 bodies have been recovered from the attacks carried out by a large group of gunmen riding on motorcycles".Fulani Herdsmen have been in a running battle with local farmers over the loss of grazing land which is important for their cattle. |   In a recent interview with Encomium mag, popular Yoruba comic actor Baba Suwe said that he has not received any money from NDLEA as damages and that the 'false accusation' has damaged his acting career and most of his friends don't want to associate with him anymore... "I have not collected any money. The most painful thing is that I was wrongfully accused. Had it been I actually committed the crime, I wouldn't mind but they punished me for nothing. I was in NDLEA for almost three weeks and nothing was found on me. No matter the kind of juju one may have used, I don't think there is anybody that can even conceal cocaine for even two days. It would burst inside the person's stomach which may lead to death. And I believe after all their investigations, they should have released me so that I can continue with my career. But the whole situation, the way I was treated actually rubbished my image. My career has been dwindling. A lot of people who are supposed to be inviting me to take part in their movies abandoned me because of that incident. A lot of people that could have assisted me financially dont want to associate with me again. For instance I was close to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu before and he was very nice to me. He had done a lot for me but now its very difficult for me to be close to him again. |  Angry Youths Batter Estate Agent An estate agent, Otunba Kehinde Adeosun, has been battered by angry youths in Abule -Egba area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, for allegedly storming the area with thugs to remove the roofs, doors and windows of their houses. Apart from the estate agent, the suspected thugs also vandalised the house of a local chief who had to flee the area to avoid being attacked. As at the time of filing this report, Adeosun is nursing his broken skull at a private hospital in the area. According to eyewitnesses' report, the clash followed a land dispute which had lingered for many years in the area but was recently resolved by a Supreme Court judgement, affirming the Iyorun Family of Awori Abule-Egba as the rightful owner of the controversial land. However, it was alleged that some of the landlords who occupied the land refused to comply with the court judgment. Trouble began between Adeosun and the youths when he was contracted by Iyorun Family to carry out the development of the landed property after the family won the court case. He was also mandated by the family to ask occupants of the land to pay N6 million for the ratification of ownership of their houses on the land. It was alleged that Adeosun with some thugs went to the area to vandalise the houses of those he considered to have defied the court judgment. And in annoyance, the youths in the community mobilized and went to the agent’s house to attack him and his son. While speaking on his hospital bed, Adeosun said: “I was asked to manage the property and most of the landlords occupying the land have paid for the ratification of their houses, including a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG). Those who are now fomenting trouble are the ones that refused to pay. “Instead of them to comply, they went to employ the services of Prince Adedipe Ewenla, another estate agent, who led over a hundred of thugs to attack me and my son with guns and broken bottles. |   Women are suffering! Hmm, you all know a lady accused the fuji musician of rape few days ago and claimed he inserted a ring in her private part which made her bleed for days. Well obesere has revealed more interesting things in a new interview he had with a softsell magazine. The fuji act said, he didn’t just only have sex with her for one day, but they had sex for three days. When asked if he has any regret about the whole sex drama, the singer said no, because he actually enjoyed it. What I meant when I said women are suffering is this; in one of his previous interviews on this rape issue, the artiste said, his wife isn’t happy with him and in fact she is so angry at him right now. One would have thought the fuji musician, wouldn’t have said, he enjoyed the sex he had with a total stranger, at least to make his wife happy. The matter is still at the police station, and Obesere says Nike has not been coming. He said she is just out to black mail him, and she is nothing but a scammer. |  Prolific music producer Babatunde Okungbowa aka OJB has set up a kidney related foundation that would focus on helping kidney patients in the country. OJB who is still recuperating from a Kidney transplant he had last year in India spoke with Encomium magazine about the Foundation "It would be called OJB Foundation. We are trying to set up one or more dialysis centers which patients will use at highly affordable cost. To this end we are discussing with partners who would make this happen. We are about to start the programme. We don't just want to be begging for funds. We have to look for a sustainable format. So we want to start a Save 20 campaign. From there, we move on with the support of the private sector, Government and Non Governmental Organizations, NGO" OJB said. He disclosed that he spent about $60,000 (N9.6million) on a gold plated wristwatch recently. The Ibadan based musician said this when an entertainment reporter asked him what his most priced item is and he said it’s his prized wristwatch. “I have a diamond wristwatch I got for $20,000 in 2009 and another gold plated Rolex wristwatch I bought recently which gulped $26,000. “The diamond wristwatch is far ahead every other fashion item I have because the carat is quite heavy and the cheapest line of the watch you can get from the jeweller who customized mine presently costs about $60,000,” Olu Maintain reportedly said. The artiste recently released a video ‘Ennuff Effizzi’ which analyst have said it’s the most expensive video ever done by an African artiste.
