A diplomatic passport holder means that they are technically a diplomat. I say technically because family members of the employee also hold a diplomatic passport and are held to the same behavioural codes of all diplomats, but they represent the country in social situations only (so no negotiating deals or such, not that all employees can do that). This is why some people may refer to themselves as a D passport holder but not a diplomat.

It is symbolic of agreements between the countries: these people will represent our country and should be treated with respect but, in exchange, we are making sure these are people of character (both security clearing them -well, not the kids and not all family- and holding them to codes of behaviour). It is a trade off: for example, you can still search their personal belongings in airports but they can ask you to not look at their WORK laptop in the security line-up, and we will do the same for your representatives. It is a trade of trust and countries are a little suspicious but go to great lengths to not break that trust.

This is one of the major problems we have in Nigeria after corruption; Tribalism, religion intolerance e.t.c.
The poster raised a topic of National issue, but some people are so myopic, that they don’t see anything wrong in the evil practices and atrocities that is being committed, rather they will want to look for other tribes or people to blame to their short comings.
This is a disgrace to the whole Nation, not to a particular state or Tribe.

Let us take Syria as a case study; do you know that Syria is very close to Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain and all this countries are extremely rich countries.
Unfortunately, since the war in Syria started, none of these countries has received them as refugee, the camp that was set up in UAE can’t take much.
Now the western countries ( the so called Christian countries that they see as their enemy) the likes of ; Canada, Australia e.t.c are the one taking the Syrians to their countries as refugees to help them; then i keep wondering why the Arab countries will not stand up to help their brothers when they are in need of help, but they will be available to fight and kill if their brother or religion is being insulted!!!!!

My brother its National disgrace, because they have more Nigerians in their prisons than other Nationality; even more  than their own citizens atimes.
it's a big disgrace, for anyone that knows what disgrace means.........
