NEW YORK (AP) - Miley Cyrus is postponing her U.S. tour while she recovers from an allergic reaction to antibiotics, but will resume her performances in August.

Cyrus' representative tells The Associated Press on Friday that the singer will resume the U.S. tour Aug. 1 in Uniondale, N.Y. The new dates will include seven rescheduled shows and two
additional stops.

The European leg of the tour is still scheduled to kick off May 2 in Amsterdam.

Cyrus' rep says the singer suffered from a sinus infection last week during her "Bangerz" tour and had "an extreme allergic reaction" to the antibiotic cephalexin on Tuesday. Cyrus canceled several shows this week as a result.

Existing tickets for the 21-year-old singer's U.S. tour will be honored at the new date.

Six-year-old Amar Singh is worshiped as a god-like figure in Nijmapur, a small village in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, after growing a 12-inch long tail.

Amar who is the youngest of five siblings has a patch of thick hair starting in the small of his back which has grown to more than 12 inches in length to resemble a 'tail' and the villagers have hailed it as a sign that he is connected to the Hindu god Hanuman, a monkey-like deity.

His family also believes he looks like a cow, an animal considered holy in
Hindu culture and affirmed by Amar’s interest in cows.



According to his family, he was born with the anomalous patch of hair, which was about one inch in length, and it continued to grow over the years.



His father, Ajmer Singh said, "Amar is a very loving child and everybody sees him as a symbol of god."

He further explains that although the hairs on Amar’s back could easily be cut and shaved off, the family are hesitant as they consider them to be a 'gift from god'.


Contrary to what Amar's family believes, the 'tail' is a result of the birth defect spina bifida, which can result in lower-back growths or, as in Amar’s case, a tuft of hair, which can grow into a tail if left uncut. It occurs when the spinal column does not close all of the way down and it is one of the most common permanently disabling birth defects. Spina bifida affects about one child in every 2,500.

Exactly why this happens is not known, but the most significant risk factor that has been identified is a lack of folic acid before pregnancy and in the very early weeks of pregnancy.

Reuters) - Singer Miley Cyrus cancelled her Tuesday show in Kansas City, Missouri, after being hospitalized for a "severe allergic reaction to antibiotics," the show venue said.

Cyrus, 21, was placed on medical rest on doctors' orders, the Sprint Center in Kansas City said in a statement. The singer posted a picture of herself in a hospital bed
on Twitter with an apology to her Kansas fans, saying "I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night." The venue said ticket holders will be refunded.

The singer was forced to cancel her concert in Charlotte, North Carolina, earlier this month, after being diagnosed with the flu and ordered by doctors to rest.

Cyrus is currently midway through her "Bangerz" tour, playing 60 shows across North America and Europe between February and June. Her next scheduled show is in St. Louis, Missouri, on Wednesday.

No offence to 64-year-old Sibusiso Mthembu, but hearing his story just made me laugh out loud. Of course, the South African from KwaZulu-Natal tells it in all seriousness. And who knows, he may even be telling the truth about having visited heaven four times, so far. The first time was in 1998, and subsequent visits
were made in 2004, 2006 and 2008. It all started in 1993, when a white man (an angel, apparently) paid him a visit and told him he was needed in heaven. And now, after several visits, he’s drawing a map to make sure the rest of us ‘unlucky’ ones get what he’s talking about.
But it’s not the fact that he took a few vacations to heaven or even that he’s drawing a map that amuses me. It’s more to do with the stuff he says he’s seen and done there. According to Mthembu, there are 11 heavens in all, and he was taken to the fifth one, Crista, first. It was there, in a city called Sharmoy, that he claims to have metJesus. The main heaven is Salem, he says, where God’s temple is located. God is apparently in his youth, and of a Grayish complexion. Jesus is white. He saw God for the first time during his second trip, on a planet called Jadalem that’s mostly covered in water and ice.
Mthembu’s other sightings includeMoses, Eliya, and Abel. He also explored the Marshnode City, which is the place people go to when they die, to get reincarnated. But here’s the weirdest of all his tales – he says that the people who predicted the end of the world in May last year weren’t entirely incorrect. Mthembu seems to have eavesdropped on an important meeting in the heavens, where the biggest war against Satanism was being discussed. The war is supposed to have been launched on May 23rd, so we’re basically on a countdown to the absolute end.

The map isn’t ready yet, but Mthembu is already worried about counterfeit  versions. “People must come and see the map as one day someone from Japan or China or Britain will design a map of heaven and the people of South Africa will have forgotten that the map was originally made in South Africa,” he says. Perhaps he needs to patent his creation. And while he’s at it, write a fantasy novel and strike a movie deal too?

A boy in Daya Village, Fika LGA of Yobe State, today Monday March 31st allegedly killed his younger brother and removed his tongue and eyes, Premium Times reports
A resident of Daya, Ishmail Daya, said that the younger boy had gone missing three days ago and that while a search was going on in the village, the older brother was found with his brother’s tongue and eyes.
“He killed his younger brother and buried him on his father’s farmland,” Ishmail said.
Both the alleged killer and the victim are believed to be underage. He insisted that there had been no prior quarrel between the siblings.
“There was no fight, he just killed his brother. Though investigation is still going on, but there was no fight,” he said.

The district head and Galadima of Fika, Fika LGA, Garba Daya, confirmed the incident.

“Yes, it actually happened in Daya,” he said, adding that the killer was currently in police custody.

Efforts to reach the Yobe Police command proved futile as the state Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Rufai, did not pick his calls or respond to text messages as at press time.
