Pastor Lesego Daniel of the Rabboni Centre Ministries, South Africa made headlines early this year when he made his church members eat grass  claiming that eating grass will bring them closer to God. The backlash he got from that stunt obviously didn't affect him because he's still treating his members like animals.

He's pictured above stepping on his obedient members during a deliverance service recently.

2  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Boy Dies After Participating in the FaceBook Fire Challenge on: 26-08-2014 07:37 AM
A 15-year-old boy has died after participating in a game that is circulating on the popular social network FaceBook. James Shores was burned to death after his entire body was engulfed in flames.

The #FireChallenge involves covering your body with an accelerant and setting yourself on fire. One’s friends will then video the act and share it on the internet. The imbecilic act is supposed to elicit laughter as onlookers and internet viewers watch the reaction from the party who is on fire.

Shores doused himself with alcohol and was set ablaze by his friends. Those who participate in this “game,” usually do so inside of the shower in case the fire spreads. In Shores case, he was not near the shower or any other water source. His friends battled unsuccessfully to put the fire out, and he later died from his injuries.

Police are warning participators about the dangers of this act and have urged the public to stop sharing the videos.

Police Commissioner James Daniels spoke with News-Two saying, “We are deeply saddened by this tragedy and offer our condolences to the family. It is paramount that the public stop sharing these videos. The people who participate in this so-called “game” do so for the notoriety and short-lived fame they receive on the internet. Taking away this fame could deter others from making the same mistake.”
FaceBook is doing their part by deleting all #FireChallege videos off of their website.

3  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Spot the difference! An example of why we remain in shambles on: 25-08-2014 09:55 PM
It is not a curse but if we continue in this mentality, then Nigeria will remain a crazy country where people wont be able to send their children to school without stealing government money, where the gap between the rich and the millions who are poor in Nigeria will continue to wide.

In countries where they are making progress, the leaders don't see themselves as superior to another human as all are treated equally. If a President or Governor commits a crime, the Attorney-General of the country do not waste time to order for the arrest of such top government official, no matter his position.

But here, once a man is elected or appointed into any office, he begins to act like a god. Nigerians, wake up!

4  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Meet Hotel Worker Who Returned N17Million on: 25-08-2014 08:00 AM
The 37-year-old earns a salary of N20,000 in the hotel where he works.
A man in Jigawa has performed a remarkable deed as he found and returned N17 Million.
37-year-old Yusuf Usman discovered the money in an iPad jacket in one of the rooms he supervises at the Three-Star Hotel in, Dutse, Jigawa.

Usman earns just N20,000 monthly but that did not tempt him to keep the money. He said:
“I have been with State, for the past 15 years and I am currently their Reception Manager. What actually happened was that on that fateful day that I found the money, I was on my way from reception to see one of the house-keepers. I passed through the hotel garden where some of our guests usually relax.

As I was going, I saw an iPad lying close to one of the flowers in the garden and there was nobody there. So I went and took the iPad so that I could take it to the reception and wait for the owner who may come for it later.

When I looked at it closely, I saw some foreign currency and some wad of naira notes in the iPad jacket. I quickly took it to the management and I was asked to keep the money and the iPad in my safe at the reception. I did not count the money myself,”

“Three days later, a staff of Jigawa College of Health Technology, Jahun, who came to book the hotel for their guests called me and said that one of the guests, who was lodged in the hotel had called to say that he misplaced his iPad containing some money, but can’t remember whether it was in the hotel he forgot it or not. I told them that it was in the hotel and I found it,”

The reception manager said the people from Jahun were so happy and full of thanks when they came to claim the money.

“When the owner of the money found out that his money has been found, he was very happy. They thanked me and the management of the hotel. The Jigawa College of Health Technology wrote a commendation letter to me.

It was there they stated that the money was over $100,000 because the jacket also had local currency in it. My management also gave me a commendation letter. Governor Sule Lamido was informed and he showered a lot of praises on me.
He was very proud of me,”
“As you can see I am not financially comfortable but that is not the point. What is not yours is not yours. There are three reasons why I will never take somebody’s property. One, stealing is against the teaching of Islam and I was strictly brought up according to Islamic teaching.
Secondly, my father has always warned me never to tamper with what is not mine because it can bring destruction in my life and thirdly, it is the tradition of our hotel not to hide whatever item we found. Even if it is not me that found the iPad and the money, whoever found it will have returned it. We have a store in the hotel for forgotten items.

Some items have been there for 10 years. I don’t see what I did as a big deal. I am just doing my duty,”

“I don’t believe that running away with somebody’s money will make me wealthy. Wealth belongs to Allah and if Allah destined me to be wealthy it will come to pass. My wife is so proud of me that her respect for me has doubled,”
Usman admonished the youth to preserve their integrity and to realize that a good name is better than wealth.

Jessica Alba flashes her lace trimmed panties in these windblown upskirt photos from New York City. This Jessica Alba upskirt was clearly planned as a publicity stunt for Jessica’s new movie “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”, which comes out in theaters next week. Jessica Alba knew full well that her thin loose dress was probably going to get blown up in the air in front of the paparazzi while walking the few feet from her car to her hotel. After all they don’t call New York the “Windy City” for nothing.

6  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Stella Damasus Married Again? on: 23-08-2014 11:02 AM
Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus may be officially married to Doris Simeon ex-husband and Film maker, Daniel Ademinokan without people noticing.

The much talked about relationship going on between Stella and Daniel has raised dust over the years and none of them has spoken about what they have for each other, but have given people a tip to what is going on. The duo do not waste the slightest opportunity to flaunt each other on social media.

If the ring on Stella Damasus finger is anything to go buy, it means the actress may be married again or have formalised her much talked about romance with the film maker or is it just a fashion ring. Even a fashion ring is not worn on that finger Stella wore hers. The big question remains has Stella embraced marriage again?

7  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / At Just 3 Weeks Old, Baby Amara Chiedozie is already on: 22-08-2014 12:44 AM
Nigerian mum based in the UK Onyi Chiedozie shares with the world that her daughter Amara, learnt to feed herself at just 3 days old.

Daily Mail UK reports that the child took matters into her own hands when she “grabbed” her bottle during a feed and held it to her mouth unaided.

Baby Amara did it at three days old, and now three weeks old, she regularly holds her bottle and pushes it aside when she is full.

Her 20-year-old mum says she uses a combination of Bosom  and bottle feeding.
“She was crying as she was hungry and when we were feeding, she started shaking, then she just grabbed the bottle and she was holding it by herself.

We couldn’t believe it because babies don’t normally do it that young, I’m so shocked that I have been documenting it every day.

It’s unbelievable, even nurses are really surprised – when my health support nurse came she was shocked as well, she couldn’t believe that this could happen.
Whenever we go to appointments, we take pictures of her doing it.” Onyi says.
Amara was born to a single mother, on August 3rd at the Queen’s Hospital, Romford, Essex, weighing 6lb 3oz.
“‘I just think she has a lot of strength, I’m not sure why though as she wasn’t particularly heavy when she was born. When she doesn’t want it she will push it away. She isn’t strong enough to throw it away, but she does push it away, like she does with her dummy. If she is really hungry, she starts shaking, then she will just grab the bottle as you give it to her.” she shares.

8  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Photo: Human parts syndicate busted in Lagos on: 22-08-2014 12:42 AM

Operatives of  the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have smashed a syndicate that specialize in selling human parts, Vanguard reports.
The 3 suspects whose names were given as Mustapha Muritala, Sunday Oluyeba and Adenike Olanrewaju, were arrested at the Ojumerin area of Sagamu, Ogun State following a tip off. Recovered from the suspects were two human skulls suspected to have been procured from a graveyard.

When interrogated, one of the suspects, 42 year old Herbalist Mustapha Murtala, said he ventured into the business two years ago following an offer of N30,000 for a human skull. Continue...

"I am a herbalist from Sagamu, Ogun State. I was introduced to human parts business by one Sunday Oluyeba I knew through my friends, Olanipekun and Kazim, three years ago. My friends asked me to get  native birds called eyeoshi and eyeoke, and I succeeded in getting them. They later came and requested a human head with an offer of N30,000. They said they wanted to use it to prepare concoction for a pregnant woman in labour . They told me they also use human parts to prepare concoction for women who have difficulty in getting pregnant. What they do is to grind the human skull, mix it with water and give to the woman to drink. Such concoction cleanses the stomach, after which she would become pregnant. Sunday brought the human head and I paid him N15,000 for it. This is the second time I am buying a human skull from him. I do not know where he got them from.”

Recounting how he was arrested, Mustapha said

“I was going about my herbal business when a man came and demanded human skull. As I handed the nylon where I kept it to him, some men I later discovered to be policemen swooped on me. I have never killed anyone in my life.” he said

After his arrest, he was made to put a call across to his  partner in crime, Oluyeba, demanding a human head. Oluyeba, who was indisposed, instructed one of his herbalist friends, Baba Beji, to go for the supply. He was arrested when he got there.

Further investigations by police led to the arrest of another suspect in Sagamu. The suspect, Juwon Olarewaju, another herbalist, reportedly fled on sighting policemen and his wife, Mrs Olarewaju was arrested instead.

34 year old Mrs Olarewaju, said she was shocked to find out her husband was involved in such a trade. She said;

“I have been married to Juwon  for five years and we have two children. My husband is a herbalist but I didn’t know he was dealing in human parts. I was arrested in my house at about 2am over the weekend. I swear, I didn’t know anything about all these. I was arrested because my husband whom they came to arrest ran away. These people implicated my husband in the matter; they said my husband supplied them with a human head.” she said

Police say the suspects will soon be charged to court.

9  Forum / The Buzz Central / Allen Iverson Seen Begging for Money Outside Atlanta’s Lenox Mall on: 20-08-2014 06:16 PM
“I don’t even have money for a cheeseburger,” said Iverson.
Troubled former NBA basketball player Allen Iverson was seen begging for change outside of Lenox Mall in Atlanta. Several mall patrons reported a man with a disheveled appearance harassing them for change.
When security arrived, they were shocked to see it was none other than basketball legend Allen Iverson. Iverson was asked to leave the premises by mall security.

Jason Seaworth, who works security at the mall, says it was very difficult for him to ask Iverson to leave as he was one of his childhood heroes. “One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do was asking my hero to leave the mall. It was very sad to see him in such a bad place. I really hope he gets his life together and somehow returns to prominence,” Seaworth stated.

Allen Iverson fell on hard times when his basketball career abruptly ended. Though the 76ers legend is currently bankrupt, he does have a $30 million trust with Reebok, which he cannot access until he is 55-years-old.

Over his NBA career, Iverson made over $154.5 million in salary. The 39-year-old also racked up quite a bit of income in endorsements, bringing his income to over $200 million.

Iverson blew through his money at an alarming rate on gaudy jewelry, expensive cars, and other frivolous purchases. In 2012, a Georgia judge garnished his wages to satisfy a $859,896.46 debt to a jeweler.
During his divorce proceedings in 2012, Iverson told an Atlanta judge, “I don’t even have money for a cheeseburger,” while turning his pockets inside out.

While in the middle of a financial bind, Iverson purchased an elaborate mansion, but lost the property to foreclosure less than a year later. It is believed that he is now homeless and bounces around from home to home.

Iverson has been working hard to get his life back on track. He hopes to one day re-join the 76ers with an office position.

12  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / No Vital Part of My Body Was on Display – Omoni Oboli Replies Critics on Her Con on: 20-08-2014 07:21 AM
When Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli got invited by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for a private screening of her movie – Being Mrs Elliot, it was an exciting day for her as well as other Nollywood practitioners.

Hours later, photos from the screening were shared by the Presidential spokesperson Reuben Abati. In one snapshot, Omoni Oboli is seen shaking the President with her decolletage on full display.

Her dress was highly criticised but in other photos, the dress seems a little more appropriate, which made many defend her and say it was the angle of photography.

In an interview with Punch, Omoni speaks on that dress as well as if she got any money from the President.
On the dress: “I styled myself and I thought the outfit was appropriate because there were no vital parts showing. Sometimes the angles with which pictures are taken can portray certain things you do not have intention of portraying. We have pictures from the event and you won’t see what people are seeing.

The truth is that a lot of people are very bitter and when people are bitter they try to look for a lot of negative things in every positive thing. It is unfortunate that we are in the limelight because if someone else wears that outfit no one will say anything. I don’t even read blogs and see the comments. My true fans know who I am and my intention when I am doing things.”

On if she got a package from GEJ: “Before the screening, they asked me what I wanted and I said I didn’t want anything but that the President and his people should see the movie and give their blessings. For me that is good enough for the industry. The first time I ever saw the President was at his brother’s burial ceremony, which I attended. I don’t know him from anywhere or personally.

During the event, President Jonathan said the government didn’t have money to give me and he said this in front of everybody. So if anybody is going aside to say something else, they are wrong. I returned to Lagos with the small purse I took to the event and after the event I went back to my hotel room and left for Lagos the next morning. I didn’t stay back in Aso Rock or sneak out to meet anybody. I am still hoping they will call us to come and take something, that they are impressed.”

15  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Abomination: Woman tells court she is ‘in love’ with her father who impregnated on: 19-08-2014 07:00 AM
A man and his daughter were arrested on charges of incest.

The 40-year-old father of Chiredzi, Zimbabwe, surprised the court last week, after he admitted to having an incestuous relationship with his daughter, who is now pregnant.

The daughter, 22-year-old Concilia Tarugarira, also pleaded guilty to incest and told the court that she is deeply “in love” with her father.

Samson Mabinile and his daughter, are facing 30 days in prison or a fine.

Prosecutor Prosper Chipangura told the court that Mabinile went to his in-laws in Zaka, to retrieve his daughter after the death of his wife.

Chipangura said that some time after the daughter returned home, Mabinile proposed love to her and both agreed to have sex until the daughter got pregnant.

The matter came to light after the couple's neighbors informed the police about the incestuous relationship, leading to their arrest.

The daughter was examined at a local hospital where she was found to be four months pregnant. A medical report was also produced in court as evidence.

The father admitted to having an incestuous relationship with his daughter, and told the court that he now regrets his actions.

However, when I insisted, he agreed but he never used it. He removed it while entering into me. We did it several times that night. After few weeks, I became pregnant for him. When I told him, I was pregnant, he advised me to abort the baby. But I refused, insisting on keeping the baby. He later warned me that if insisted, I would have myself to blame in future. I never knew what he meant until I was diagnosed HIV positive. He also infected other ladies in the church before he died.”

On her marriage, she added that: “Before we got married, my husband was educated about the deadly disease. But he is also a carrier of the disease. At the moment, medically both of us are negative to HIV virus. This is because we have been put on medication for long. But that does not mean, we should stop taking our medication. Even though we test negative now, we keep taking our medication. We had one child together who did not test positive to HIV because of the medication.

“Marriage for me was normal but they say, in every marriage there are challenges. Things have happened in the past which I wouldn't want to talk about here. Talking about the stigma, there was one day, my seven-year old son came from school and told me to stop that HIV thing that I am doing. According to him, his friends said, they wouldn't play with him because his mum is HIV positive. There are challenges but life must go on.”
