People see you as a very controversial person. Is that who you really are or is it just a make-believe thing?
I’m not controversial. Why? People talk and the press write. Guess my name gives them (gossips) orgasm. I’m a simple home couch-loving lady. I love my bed, my comfort; whether there is spring or mat, I’m great at home. I don’t party. I feel like I don’t have fun and still not having fun, because I’m too serious and have been working since I was 13 years. But, it’s okay. I’m here making my own rules and making sure I follow them. I love meriting stuff, so I don’t cut corners. Hard work is better. You can sleep your way through, but it never lasts. I knew that from day one. When people reject me, I don’t worry because they are the ones missing and losing, not knowing how amazing I am. People love judging and as long as people love hearing hear says, then they add lies to sweeten the gist. So, how am I controversial? I’m always misunderstood by lots of people. Just because I don’t talk too much does not mean I’m unfriendly or arrogant. I’m just a calm-natured person. Not giving to stress. People have made me calm because of their constant gossips. I’m now like “Django”. I laugh and move on. I know that people still fight for me behind. So, God bless you all for the love.

Following her nasty experience in the hands of guys, a young lady, Elizabeth John Adie, has given oral evidence about how she was gang-rapéd by a group of men she met through a social networking site, 2GO. According to her, the guys picked her in an ash colour vehicle with unknown registration number to Aso B area where they threatened her with knives, searched her handbag and took her two blackberry phones, cash of N8,000 and other foreign currencies, before molesting her... The case was mentioned at the Upper Area Court, Mararaba Gurku, Nasarawa State. One of the accused, 22-year-old Agbo Emmanuel, a school certificate holder has been in police detention since the incident occurred but was brought to court on February 11, charged with criminal conspiracy, intimidation, extortion, causing hurt and rape, all contrary to sections 97, 397, 292, 244, and 283 of the Penal Code Laws of Nigeria.
According to the police First Information Report, the victim reported at the ‘A’ Division Police Station, in the Mararaba area of Nasarawa, close to Abuja state on February 1, 2014, that on the same day at about 13:30hrs at Aso B, one Agbo Emmanuel and three others, Bright Ochigbon, Junior Udewenga and Anita, now at large, conspired and deceived her through the 2GO social network.
Elizabeth said after taking the items from her, the rough guys went ahead to rapé her in turns, adding that she had tried to resist but was cut with a knife by one of them on her right finger. The case continues.

More than four weeks after hundreds of school girls were abducted by gunmen at the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State on April 14, more facts are beginning to emerge on how the gun-wielding terrorists perpetrated the attack. In a latest investigation carried out by CNN, one of the kidnapped girls who escaped from the Boko Haram insurgents into the forest on that fateful night has revealed that the militants initially promised to protect them when they arrived their school compound but only for them to discover later that they came to kidnap them.
The unnamed teenager stated that they realised that the gunmen were unfriendly elements when they started burning their school buildings while they (girls) were gathered inside cargo trucks. Commenting on how they managed to escape from the terrorists, the teenager said: "We would rather die than go," one of the girls told CNN.\
"We ran into the bush. We ran and we ran." With fear in her eyes and voice, the young woman, who asked not to be identified, described how she and some of her friends that escaped made the long, dangerous trip to her village. She said they saw something on fire and headed in that direction, presuming it was building in the village that had been set ablaze.
The girl, who was still shaken up by the events, when asked to describe what her kidnappers wore, she responded: "I feel afraid." She added that if her school is re-opened, she wouldn't go back. It was gathered from residents in the village that news began to spread before the militants made it into Chibok last month. They stated that some villagers began to receive cell phone calls that the feared extremist group Boko Haram was on the way. No one knew what the attack would entail, that it would mean hundreds of schoolgirls plucked from their beds by a group of extremists who would later threaten to sell them.
"It's like they were coming for a shopping trip," a villager who witnessed the attack told CNN. Officials have said that Boko Haram militants abducted 276 girls from the boarding school on April 14. Villagers said they passed along warnings to local police that the terrorists were on their way that night. They said they received phone calls from family and friends from surrounding villages and were told that there was a convoy of cargo trucks, pickups and motorcycles heading their way. One villager said he was told, "They are coming for you. Run!"
The villagers said police called for reinforcements, but none came. Everyone, including the police, fled into the bush during the attack. But the girls were asleep in their dorms.
US administration accused of ignoring request by Nigeria for help against Boko HaramUS administration was publicly accused by American media of ignoring requests by Nigeria for intelligence information and aid to fight Boko Haram insurgents in 2013. While last week the US side actively joined the abducted girls find and rescue operation, ABC News and the Daily Beast said Obama's administration had previously failed to reply to the requests by lobbying firm Patton Boggs on behalf of the Nigerian government.
US Senator John McCain was quoted saying last week to CNN: "We should have utilized every asset that we have, satellite, drones, any capabilities that we had to go after them. We didn’t have to wait until a practically non-existent government of Nigeria gave us the go-ahead before mounting a humanitarian effort to rescue those 276 abducted girls."
However, according to the mentioned sources, 2 months before Boko Haram was designated Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US, "the Nigerian government reportedly reached a three million dollar agreement with lobbying firm Patton Boggs. It was derived from the U.S. Justice Department documents that the contract was to "provide comprehensive security advice, including the donation of excess military and law enforcement equipment". Patton Boggs assigned retired Marine Colonel John Garrett to represent Nigeria’s requests. It was revealed that on behalf of Nigerian National Security Adviser, Muhammadu Sambo Dasuki, Garrett requested information on insurgents' activities derived from intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance overflights of northeastern Nigeria’s Borno state.
They also asked for non-lethal protective hardware to be donated to Nigeria such as mine-resistant armored personnel vehicles, night vision goggles and communications equipment from Iraq and Afghanistan stockpiles left over from U.S. withdrawals from those warzones.

The Presidency has reacted to the statement by the Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APCP, Chief Bisi Akande, who asserted that the country is on ‘auto-pilot’, saying the comment amounts to partisan blackmail. Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, in a statement issued on Sunday said: “We consider it most unfortunate that the chairman of the APC will use the opportunity of the situation in the country namely the abduction of the girls of GSSC, Chibok to engage in partisan blackmail. “The issue of national security should go beyond partisan politics. This is a very serious moment requiring seriousness. But to reduce all of that to partisan politics is in bad taste, it is irresponsible one-upmanship. “One, Nigeria is not on auto pilot. There is a government in place; there is a President who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He is doing his very best to provide quality leadership and to reassure Nigerians that government stands ready always to defend their best interest. “‘We are on top of the situation’ that Chief Akande referred to is an English idiom and indeed, the government is on top of the situation. Government’s primary responsibility is to ensure that when issues come up, it stands firm to do its very best to protect the people. “This administration has continually showed courage and commitment in the face of whatever challenge that may arise. “To give the impression that the President is doing nothing is dishonest. This government is not mouthing meaningless phrases; this government is not engaging in blame game. This government has a job to do and it is doing the job. “They cannot say that government is on auto pilot in the face of all the achievements of this administration in the rail sector, health, aviation, foreign relations, transportation, trade and investment and in every sector. “If Chief Akande wants to be honest with himself; he will say the truth and the truth will be that this country has been moved forward by President Jonathan, that we are not at the level we were at the time President Jonathan assumed office in 2011, “So to say the country is on auto pilot is unpatriotic because it is a lie. “Chief Akande has made a number of recommendations. This administration welcomes suggestions and recommendations. If he had limited his contributions to just making these recommendations, he would have sounded like a statesman. “But let him be informed that even those recommendations that he has made are things that are already in place. These are steps that had already been taken by this administration. So there is nothing original in his recommendations that is unknown to the administration. “But he went beyond making recommendations to begin to engage in politics. We will like to advise people like him that where national interest is involved, we should come together and work hand-in-hand with the government. “This is not the occasion for politicking, campaigning about 2015 and trying to run down the country. “In fact, it is people like him who run down their country that are creating problems for the country”.

Nigeria needs serious help from countries with competent military and technology power to defeat our enemies as latest revelations have shown that the violent sect, Boko Haram and other groups in northern Nigeria received as much as $3million from Osama bin Laden in 2002.
According to a report by some United States intelligence analysts, Bin Laden was said to have dispatched an aide to Nigeria to hand out the seed money in naira to a wide array of Salafist political organisations that shared al Qaeda’s goal of imposing Islamic rule. “There were channels between bin laden and Boko Haram leadership,” one senior U.S. intelligence official told The Daily Beast, adding that “He (Bin Laden) gave some strategic direction at times.” According to a report in a United States-based newspaper, The Daily Beast, the Al-Qaeda founder helped in the process of providing Boko Haram’s seed money. Boko Haram was founded by Mohammed Yusuf in 2002. Yusuf was killed in police custody in 2009.
The Daily Beast reported on Sunday that officially, the U.S. intelligence community believed that the sect had only tangential links to al Qaeda’s North African affiliate, and that reports of Bin Laden backing the Nigerian outfit were off-base, but many analysts have believed that the ties between Boko Haram and al Qaeda global leadership go much deeper — and are about more than a little seed money.
A comprehensive report on Boko Haram published by the International Crisis Group, also confirmed that Boko Haram’s early leader, Mohammed Yusuf, received money from a disciple of Osama bin Laden named Mohammed Ali in 2002.
The report added that bin Laden got to know Ali in the 1990s when he was based in Sudan, adding that after Ali travelled with Bin Laden to Afghanistan, he was provided with $3m in Nigerian currency in 2002 and sent to the north of the country to fund al-Qaeda’s ideology.
