1  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / “My Wife Cheated On Me 13-Days After Our Wedding Day”: Shares N*de Pix On Whatsa on: 25-05-2014 11:24 AM
A young husband’s worst fears came true recently after he allegedly caught his wife sleeping with another man, just 13 days after their wedding on Easter. Bonface Oduor told The Nairobian he was shocked to learn that the woman he has courted for six years has been cheating on him all along. The couple from Ukunda in the Coast had just returned from a five-day honeymoon in Malindi when Oduor allegedly found out Sheila Kayuga, a businesswoman, had checked into a lodge with a lover.

The couple separated after Oduor discovered more skeletons in her closet, including Nood photos of herself posted on WhatsApp to a group of friends. The colourful wedding at the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church in Diani on April 13, which Oduor describes as a ‘massive investment’ was all a waste of time. The man who works at a hospital in the Coast vows not to live with Sheila again or get involved in any other relationship since he cannot trust women again. He had been warned severally by friends about his wife and ‘her lover’, he says. “One close friend told me they busted my wife with man at a nearby guesthouse behind Ukunda,” he said. Oduor, 31, then went to the guest house where an attendant told him he had spotted his wife buying a packet of condoms at the reception before going into one of the rooms. He was later shown the room but when he knocked at the door and called out her name, she did not open.

“I threatened her and forcefully opened the door only to find them together. I beat up both of them and left the room in anger,” he said. The intervention Three days later, their parents met to discuss the matter. “I refused to discuss anything and had decided not to live with this woman again. We then agreed to go our separate ways,” he said.

2  Forum / The Buzz Central / Why I sold my baby for N430,000- 22-year old mother (Photo) on: 25-05-2014 11:18 AM

22 year old Chinelo Huma, has been arrested by the Enugu State Police after she sold her one-month-old baby for N430,000 .The baby was sold to 43-year-old Ugochukwu who has been unable to conceive.

[/img]
"I am a prostitute. When I became pregnant and it was close to nine months, my boyfriend rejected it. I decided to sell the baby. When I gave birth on April 13, 2014, one lady whose name is Maria Asomba, arranged for the baby to be sold to Mrs. Nkechi Ugochukwu, and she paid N430, 000, but Asomba gave me N150,000.When the police arrested Ugochukwu, I told them I didn’t want the baby again, because I already have two children and my mother is taking care of them.
Ugochukwu said..
"I have been barren for years and I needed a child. My husband’s kinsmen have been maligning and making jest of me because I don’t have a child. I borrowed N430,000 to buy the child; my husband is aware of the baby. The baby was brought to me on April 17, 2014. When I took the baby to my compound all my neighbours congratulated me over the new baby; policemen came and took the baby from me. I don’t want my money back. I need the baby. I have named the baby Chinasa and I am already planning to dedicate her in church.”

3  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Mother, Others Arrested For Selling Baby…As Buyer Pleads She Wants Baby Back on: 25-05-2014 10:55 AM
A 22-year old mother has been arrested for selling her one month old baby for N430,000 in Enugu. The mother, Chinelo Huma got N150,000 out of the deal while other women involved shared the rest of the money.

They were later arrested for such an illegal act, but the new mom, who is 43 and has been barren all through her marriage cried and pleaded with the police to give her back the baby. She said even though she went to borrow the money, she does not want it back but wants the baby. Find the story after the cut as reported by Sun.

Twenty-two-year-old Chinelo Huma, who sold her one-month-old baby for N430,000 has been arrested by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Enugu State Police Command.

Three other women, Nkechi Ugochukwu, Maria Asomba and Esther Obi, who allegedly played roles in the sale of the baby were traced to Onitsha, Anambra State and arrested by the police.

Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu who disclosed this, told Sunday Sun that Huma got pregnant while she was engaged in prostitution. Her boyfriend who was not quite ready to bear the responsibility of fatherhood rejected Huma’s pregnancy.

Incidentally, Huma already had two children, who were being cared for by her mother. So having another child out of wedlock was not an idea that appealed to her one bit and she decided to relieve herself of the burden of caring for the baby.

Her words: “I am a prostitute. When I became pregnant and it was close to nine months, my boyfriend rejected it. I decided to sell the baby. When I gave birth on April 13, 2014, one lady whose name is Maria Asomba, arranged for the baby to be sold to Mrs. Nkechi Ugochukwu, and she paid N430, 000, but Asomba gave me N150,000.

“When the police arrested Ugochukwu, I told them I didn’t want the baby again, because I already have two children and my mother is taking care of them.”

Adamu explained that 43-year-old Ugochukwu had for long desired to have a child of her own but was unable to conceive. The arrangement to source the baby was facilitated by one Esther Obi, who nursed the newborn for two weeks before handing her over to Ugochukwu.

The Commissioner of Police further revealed that Asomba, 35, specialized in looking recruiting pregnant ladies that were willing to dispose of their babies after giving birth.

The police learnt about the ignoble act, Adamu said the Head of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Supol Gloria Udoka (DSP) and her team swung into action and traced the suspects to a jungle in Onitsha, where the one-month old was rescued. The police team also arrested Ugochukwu.

Giving more insight to the sordid affair, the deputy head of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Supol Anyai Dennis (CSP) expressed disgust that even after the baby was recovered, Huma insisted she didn’t want to keep the baby.

Supol Dennis added that Ugochukwu was reluctant to hand over the baby as she had led her neighbours to believe she had given birth and would feel a deeply embarrassed, given that she had made arrangements for the baby already named as Chinasa.

Expressing her pain at the turn of events, Ugochukwu lamented: “I have been barren for years and I needed a child.

That desire now appears to be a pipe dream as the Commissioner of Police has given a firm assurance that all the suspects would be charged to court soon for human trafficking.

5  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Prophetess Arrested For The Killing of A Newlywed on: 25-05-2014 10:45 AM

Strange things are happening these days! A prophetess in Ondo State has been arrested and arraigned after she reportedly played a part in the murder of a young newlywed graduate, Mr Victor Oguntibeju.

Prophetess Victoria Abiodun is said to have caused the death of 34-year-old Victor Oguntibeju through a lethal herbal mixture she gave to him. She was said to have given him the mixture on April 10 in Akure, the state capital, at about 12 midnight.
The Nation had reported a few weeks ago how the late Oguntibeju left his home at No 1, Ifelodun Street, Oke-Ijebu, Akure on Tuesday April 8, 2014 for a spiritual consultation at Christ Evangelical Power C&S Church on Saka Ibrahim Street, Oke-Ukere in Akure, founded by Prophetess Abiodun.

His death came barely six months after his marriage to his heartthrob, Toyin. Apart from working as a welder, the deceased had just finished a degree programme at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomosho, Oyo State. He was to attend the convocation of the university before his unfortunate death about a month ago.

When she was arraigned before the Magistrate court, Prophetess Abiodun pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs Adebisi Daomi, said a case of "murder" was beyond the jurisdiction of a Magistrate court, she, however, ordered the Prophetess to be remanded in prison and adjourned the case to June 5.

Angered by the sad incident, some unidentified persons were said to have set fire to the church in retaliation for the death of the deceased whose wife was delivered of a new baby on the day he died.

7  Forum / The Buzz Central / Pastor Labelled as Armed Robber, Police Tortured Him In Lagos on: 25-05-2014 10:32 AM

Mr. Ibukun Daniel, pastor of a Pentecostal church in Ikotun area of Lagos, was at home, enjoying the serenity of his family life on August 16, 2012, when a team of policemen barged in on his compound and arrested him, in the presence of his wife and children. According to him, he was led like a criminal to the Ikotun Police Division, where he was told that his next door neighbours, Mr. and Mrs. Teniennor Abaka, said he was an informant for robbers.

Pastor Daniel was told point blank that the couple alleged that a robbery that took place in the early hours of that day was orchestrated by him.
“I had never seen something like that in my whole life. I had no idea one could simply be labelled an armed robber and arrested without any single evidence. I knew there was a robbery at their house; I knew that the robbers snatched their jeep and everybody sympathised with them.
“They said I knew about the robbery because the robbers parked in front of my house in Ikotun before Abaka was attacked. I was shocked.”

After a day in police cell, Pastor Daniel and one of his neighbours, who was also arrested, were taken home for a search on their apartments after which the police were said to have found nothing and they were released on bail.

Shortly after the police released Daniel and his neighbour, he said the couple reported the matter at the SARS office because they were not satisfied with the investigation of the police at Ikotun.

Pastor Daniel told Punch, “It was like they just wanted to cause trouble for my family and get me imprisoned for a reason I did not understand. We realised that they had contacted a highly placed police officer then, who ordered the Ikotun Divisional Police Officer to transfer the case to SARS.

“After being detained till the following day at SARS, with a threat from Mrs. Abaka that we would rot in jail, we were released the following day. Few days later, we saw the Abakas driving the same jeep that was supposedly taken away by the robbers.

“Before that time, the Abakas were fond of threatening anybody they had problem with on the street with the police. They always showed that they knew somebody in the police force who could lock anybody up.”

Because he considered the case as a gross violation of his fundamental human rights, Daniel contacted his lawyer who filed a complaint at the Zone 2 Police Command, where the case was investigated and the then Assistant Inspector-General of Police made a report that the case be charged to court. But the case has remained dormant since then.

A case Daniel filed at the Ikeja Magistrate Court was also quashed. But he feels he was unjustly cheated, while his reputation had forever been soiled by the Abakas.

During a visit to the street where the Abakas and the Daniels live, our correspondent spoke to some landlords who alleged that the Abakas were fond of “causing everybody trouble and threatening people with the police.”

The Chairman of Irebami Community Development Association, under which the street falls, said some members of the association had suffered untold hardship because of the Abakas’ excesses.

Olugboyo said, “Many landlords here would have spent days in jail if not for the grace of God. That family is evil because they just don’t want anybody around them to have peace. I wonder how that pastor even has the courage to take them on.

“There was a time we were contributing money for the installation of a new transformer. We realised that a lot of people did not want to take part in the arrangement but wanted to enjoy light. The CDA decided to disconnect electricity supply to those who did not contributed towards the project.

When we went to the Abakas, one of them slapped a landlord. The next thing they did was to call a high-ranking police officer, whom the couple always use to threaten people here. Eleven of our members were locked up that day.”

The CDA chairman also alleged that the Abakas also got some young men in the area arrested on allegation of smoking Indian hemp, an allegation the couple did not deny when our correspondent spoke with them.

When our correspondent met the Abakas, the man said he accused the pastor of being an accomplice of the robbers because his wife, who witnessed the robbery, told him that one of the vehicles the robbers used to operate at the time had once been seen in front of the pastor’s house.

Narrating how he was robbed, Mr. Abaka said, “I went to drop my son at the bus stop around 5.30am that day and I noticed two vehicles ahead of me as I approached our street. They turned towards my street as I followed them. They went past my house and stopped in front of the pastor’s house. But when I honked to my wife to come and open the gate, some men wielding guns came out of the vehicle, took my phones and everything I had on me and snatched my vehicle. My wife, who was by the gate, witnessed everything.

“She later told me that she had seen one of the vehicles used by the robbers in front of the pastor’s house before, with one of the occupants speaking to the pastor at the entrance.”

When told that the vehicle could simply have been the same make and colour, Mrs. Abaka insisted that she had a good memory and actually noticed a mark at the back of the vehicle that showed it was the same.

“I am very observant, I never forget a face or a vehicle that I have seen before,” Mrs. Abaka told our correspondent.

Her husband told our correspondent that it was doubtful if Daniel was actually a genuine pastor as he claimed.

“He changed his vehicle from a very expensive Toyota Corolla sometime ago and bought a jeep. Why can’t the police investigation delve into his income and how much he pays as tax?” the man asked.

Mrs. Abaka also said she reported the landlords who were later arrested ony because they assaulted her.

However, Pastor Daniel is now insisting that for the sake of posterity and the protection of his children, the police should prosecute the Abakas for soiling his reputation in the public.

Punch spoke with the Officer-in-Charge, Legal at Zone 2 Command, one Mr. Justin, who explained that it was untrue that the matter had been swept under the carpet.

He said, “This matter is so simple. I was the one who led the case but I was not the one who investigated. After his investigation, the officer in charge informed me about his findings and advised that the couple (Abakas) should apologise to the pastor."

Ace actor, Chidi Mokeme, has denied being a bad boy the way his roles might portray him to be because there is always a transition and there had been many different transitions in the course of his career.

According to the actor, you can’t compare modeling with movie. As a model, there is a certain look you must always wear. But movies, the impression is that it is either this guy is a nice looking play boy or the other way round. These two personalities have the same look, but they are just different mentally.

The actor stated that the fastest role one can get when coming into the movie industry is the muscle or bad guy roles.

Chidi stated that he wanted to play the lead role, but there was something holding him back, and that was physique and looks. Adding that he had to change that and stop going to the gym, stopped wearing my folded T-shirts. “I started wearing nice shirts that made me look so cool. Then I started looking more like the play boy, so I started losing the bodyguard roles and I got more nice boy roles. It was just different transitions.”

Sometimes we can’t really tell if some of the news we hear are for real or just media stunts…It can’t be denied that they are entertaining though….

The latest news in the Nadia Buari/ Jim Iyke Saga is a press statement from Jim Iyke denying he has broken up with his Ghanaian Beauty.

Jim Iyke through his media manager, Mitch Ngaman, has claimed Jim Iyke and Nadia Buari are still lovers and urged fans to ignore music act and blogger Emma Agu’s claim that the lovers have separated.

Mitch said, it is normal for lovers to have a little misunderstanding, but nothing went out of hand in their own case.

Read the press statement released by him;

“I can assure you that whatever you may have heard regarding the ‘misunderstanding’ between Jim and Nadia is pure speculation. Nonetheless, it is normal for lovers to disagree with each other occasionally or they wouldn’t be human beings. “We are aware of the false rumour about Jim and Nadia’s breakup. We have decided to ignore it because it is unfounded. Jim and Nadia have not broken up, as claimed by Emma. “That guy is a frustrated musician and blogger whose stock – in – trade is blackmail. All he does is to meddle in other people’s business. And if he does not have his way, he goes into a tantrum and fabricates stories. We will act when we deem fit. He can keep on ranting for now” part of the statement read.

May 23, 2014 – Sons Of Bird That Turns To Witch Woman In Ajegunle Lagos Speak “Our Mother Isn’t A Witch, She Is Ill”

The true story behind the black bird that turned into an old woman on Wednesday in Ajegunle Lagos has surfaced.

The sons of the aged woman have told the truth.

The two men explained that their mother had wandered off some days ago and they had been looking for her.

The men, who said they lived in the Iju Ishaga area of the state were said to have been puzzled as to how their mother walked all the way to Ajegunle.

A policeman told Punch “This morning two men came to the command claiming that they were the sons of the woman. The men said their mother was not a witch and were very angry with the manner the rumour was spreading. They said they were shocked that youths could attack an old woman in her 80s and they were even asking for justice because the woman sustained bruises on her head.”

“Yes she has been released to her son. The family said due to her old age, she was very ill and was brought from Ibadan to Lagos to stay with one of her sons. The woman’s daughter-in-law said she went to buy drugs for her nearby, but by the time she returned home, the woman had left the house.”
