Hip-hop’s first billionaire, Dr. Dre, put some of his hard-earned money into a $40 million home that was once owned by Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady.

Yesterday we saw the new, modest home purchased by Dr. Dre’s Aftermath signee and protegee Kendrick Lamar. K. Dot’s $540,000 home, which some speculate may be for his family not himself, pales in comparison to the lavish homes of hip-hop super stars like Drake and Rick Ross, nonetheless, it all the more proves that Kendrick is a humble guy who doesn’t need the glitz and the glam.

Although Dre doesn’t come across as the flashiest rapper/music mogul (such as, let’s say, Diddy), his new purchase, a $40 million home, will make Drizzy and Rozay’s respective mansions seem like child’s play. As we reported in May, Dr. Dre is buying Tom Brady’s former mansion, and now we have confirmation and more photos. The billionaire possibly celebrated Apple’s purchase of Beats by shelling out a staggering $40 million for the gargantuan home.

The Brentwood, California home boasts five bedroom and nine bathrooms as well as terraces, a gym, balconies, seven fireplaces and multiple garages– and we’re pretty sure that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s 18,298 square feet of space in the home, which itself sits on a four-acre lot.

A pregnant woman has given birth to a baby girl in the bush after fleeing from Boko Ha­ram attack at Kala-Balge community in Borno State, a native of the area has disclosed.

In a press conference with journalists at the Correspondents Chapel in Bauchi, Abba Ab­dulmuminu said the woman was among thousands of natives of the local government area, who had fled the constant terrorist attacks on the people of the community.

The incessant attacks caused the people of Kala Balge to set up a vigilante group to protect themselves from the insurgents. Last month, they overpowered the Islamist extremist killing over 200 of their members who came to attack the community.

Angered by the bravery of the natives of Kala-Balge, the Boko Haram sect retali­ated in an expectedly brutal manner, killing hundreds of people and burning houses in villages and towns in the area .
Abdulmuminu told jour­nalists in Bauchi: “As a result of that attack, one month ago, the Boko-Haram members have regrouped and are kill­ing the people of Kala-Balge community. In fact, as I am talking to you now, almost all the people of Kala-Balge villages and towns have fled. Some of them are in the bor­der between Cameroon and Nigeria while some are in the bush.

“In fact, yesterday I was talking to my people and they told me a woman de­livered in the bush last night (June 3). There was no water, no shelter and no food be­cause it is a semi-desert area and there are no trees there. So the people there, even those in the borders are daily in the scorching sun.”
He regretted that the National Emergency Man­agement Agency (NEMA) director in Borno State was quoted as saying that ‘he needed people from Kala-Balge to come and convey relief materials to their peo­ple.’
“I have never seen where such a thing is done. If there are emergencies, NEMA is supposed to convey the materials for the people. So, how are you now asking the people of Kala-Balge to come and convey relief materials to their people. If NEMA has security chal­lenge, they should go to the government and tell them that this is our problem,” he said.

Abdulmuminu, who said he had not heard from his mother and many of his rela­tions, who fled since the sus­tained attacks on Kala-Balge, appealed to the Federal Gov­ernment to deploy troops and bring relief materials to the people.

The Emir of Kan, Ado Abdullahi Bayero, has passed away.

Bayero, who is one of Nigeria’s most prominent traditional rulers, died in the early hours of Friday, June 6, 2014.

According to family sources, the Emir died in Kano.

He will be laid to rest later today according to Islamic rites.

    The Gwoza Christian Community Association in Borno State has released details of disturbing disclosures made by six Christian girls who were abducted in 2013 by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

    The girls were abducted last year from different locations in Gwoza local government area. Their statements revealed that, following their abduction, they were subjected to serial rapes by Boko Haram terrorists. In addition, they were turned into domestic slaves in various Boko Haram camps before they pulled off their daring and lucky escapes.
