2  Forum / The Buzz Central / HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Speaks At Last! Says I Grew Up Under The Late Emir on: 11-06-2014 09:04 PM
The new Emir of Kano, HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has decided to speak after a riot broke out in his home town immediately he was declared the new Emir of Kano on Sunday, 8th of June, 2014. The Emir says a lot of people who have spoken against his throne, have spoken ignorantly because they know little or nothing about his family or the throne.

“I grew up under the care of late Ado Bayero. I am more close to the late emir than my father who was outside the country. The late emir trained me; my first wife with whom I spent over 25 years with, is his daughter.

“We shared the same bed with his son, Turakin Kano Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero for over 10 years. Therefore we are calling on those people from outside the palace to stop interfering on the things that they didn’t understand.”

He added: “The Kano Emir Palace is one united family. Therefore I’m assuring the governor that all these riots and protests are not from our house, none of our relatives is behind these things and none of our relatives will sponsor such thing or be happy because of it. Because the way we grew up we all knew that all princes nurture the ambition of becoming emir one day but its Allah who chooses who will be the emir.

“The day an emir is selected all the princes are paying their allegiance to him. This is our tradition as nobody from the royal family is behind these riots.”

Asari Dokubo
Asari took to his Facebook page to post a photo of a turbaned dog with the caption, "This is how I see Sanusi Lamido Sanusi."

He also tweeted a congratulatory message to the All Progressive Congress, APC on their new Emir while also wondering if the late Emir died a natural death.

Asari is one of the supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan's government, which Sanusi is at loggerheads with.
It could be recalled that in February, the leader of the outlawed Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force said that his kinsmen in the oil-rich belt would foment trouble if President Jonathan failed to secure a second term ticket in the 2015 presidential election.
Asari is always in the news for one thing or the other, from declaring there will be war if Boko Haram sect dares him and his men, to declaring that the abduction of Chibok schoolgirls is a scam. He even staged an anti #BringBackOurGirls protest to show he's not convinced about the abduction of schoolgirls in Chibok community, Borno by Boko Haram terrorists on April 14 2014.
4  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Escaped Abductee Says Abubakar Shekau Might Be Father Of Her Baby on: 11-06-2014 08:41 PM

A girl abducted 27 months ago by Boko Haram members is back and afraid that the sect leader Abubakar Shekau might be father of her baby.

Meenah Dawah (real name withheld for security reasons) revealed this in an exclusive interview with IQ4News.
The girl, who was abducted at the age of 17 after the insurgents had killed her parents, managed to escape this year after having been held in captivity for almost 2 years and a half.
Now Meenah says that she is having a baby from Shekau. According to the girl, she could hear screams of girls raped by the sect members and see them being tortured for refusal to change their faith.
The escaped victim narrated her story describing Shekau and conditions in which the kidnap victims are held.
"He seems to be panicking all the time and issuing instructions. He is a softly spoken man – it is almost as if he whispers, if you are meeting him for the first time, you would never be scared of him. But I soon learned that after every whisper something dangerous would happen somewhere in Nigeria...
"He once asked me if I was willing to fight for the cause, to which I answered no, he told me I could be a fighter and a domestic slave. I didn’t want to speak to him in case what I said offended him. All it would take was one wrong word and he would have had me killed. I thought he was drinking or taking something whenever he came, one could notice maybe he lost men or something was not right.
Meenah said that "Abu" has many children, all from different women. She lamented the abductees had to travel a lot, which was hard for her "with a baby strapped to my back"
.

Some girls were forced to carry guns and bombs and one - even a rocket-propelled grenade launcher on her shoulder.
Meenah was badly shot in the leg, when the Nigerian army stormed the Boko Haram camp, but she managed to escape.
Upon returning home, she was treated in Maiduguri, however not warmly accepted by the remaining family, the girl confessed:
"My uncle will not have me because he is ashamed of my child whose paternity is not only questionable but is dangerous if it is Shekau."
Now the girl, who lost almost all of her relatives, dreams about finishing her secondary education but doesn't know how to overcome the huge gap. She was quoted saying:
"I know I am intelligent and willing to learn, but where do I start from?"

7  Forum / The Buzz Central / HAHAHAHA! Shocker: Jonathan's Strong Woman Diezani Rejected by OPEC on: 11-06-2014 08:33 PM
In what is being consider a big blow to the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan on the international scene, a leading international firm has given the Thumbs Down to his "corruption" tainted nominee.

And who is the said corruption tainted nominee? Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke. In a shocking twist, she wasn't found worthy enough to head such a respected world body, she has thus failed to become the first female Secretary-General of OPEC as the members rejected her.
At its meeting on Wednesday, OPEC members refused to accept Alison-Madueke for the top position and they all agreed to extend the tenure of Abdullah al-Badri of Iraq, the current Secretary General, until June 2015 after the Presidential election in Nigeria...

OPEC members did not even look at her side. The news of her rejection comes barely 24 hours after President Jonathan nominated her as a candidate for the highly coveted post.

OPEC’s decision to extend Abdullah al-Badri’s tenure for another year was unexpected, and it is considered a big slap on the face of a Nigeria, the only country in OPEC that doesn't have refinery to serve its people.

According to Sahara Reporters, insiders say the Jonathan had groomed his choice for the highly coveted post during the years of his tenure as president despite a swirl of murky issues that has followed her career.

Alison-Madueke is one of the most controversial ministers in the Jonathan administration, having been rocked by numerous allegations of financial improprieties. She is expected to answer questions at the House of Reps for the over N10billion she spent flying private jets with Nigeria's money.

It is not clear what happens next for Alison-Madueke as the rejection of her bid for the high post inside OPEC is certainly going to reflect on her and her Oga beyond Nigeria in the years to come.

Nigerian R&B singer Praiz was at Enugu last weekend for the well-publicized Farouz L’Original gig but during his performance, it looks like there was no one on the seats to cheer him up.
According to Akpraise.com, it looks as if the soul singer turned commercial artist was performing to an audience that is 60% empty.
Looking at the pictures again and again from the gig, we want to believe that just maybe the 2009 Project Fame runner up was simply rehearsing for a grander show later that same night.
Do you guys agree?
