According to this Kenyan blog, former Harambee Stars player, Francis Onyiso, was allegedly caught pants down, cheating on his wife at a local hotel. It is reported that he was caught in the act after his wife followed him and his one night stand to the hotel on what was supposed to be a night out with his work mates. To make things right, he publicly apologised to his wife on a newspaper! The advert reportedly cost him 2000 Kenyan shillings = $22 = N3500!

A man in Florida has been arrested for drug possession despite finding a curious hiding place for his stash.

42-year-old Christopher Mitchell, who weighs about 200kg and is nicknamed “Fat Boy”, hid marijuana in his belly fat but was found out by the police.

Mitchell was riding in a car with another suspect when they were stopped because the former was not wearing a seat belt.

NY Daily reports:

The big passenger, 42, told the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputy he was too fat to wear a seatbelt, arrest records show. Mitchell goes by “Biggie” as well, according to the Florida Department of Corrections’ website.

But the two men appeared nervous and the deputy called in a drug-sniffing dog that immediately picked up on cocaine in the front seat and traces of marijuana.

The deputies searched Mitchell and found 23 grams of marijuana hidden under his fat.

Police also found a handgun in the middle console and $7,000 in cash stuffed in a tube sock. The suspects tried to hide the smell of drugs with carpet freshener and scented dryer sheets, but that didn’t work.

The driver, Keithian Roberts, 38, was arrested for possession of cocaine and Mitchell was arrested for possession of marijuana and for not wearing a seat belt.

Mitchell was convicted in 2002 for conspiracy to traffic cocaine, but records show he has gained about 200 pounds since then.

When, singer-writer, Etcetera wrote in his weekly Punch column recently about how it has become a trend for female celebrities in Nigeria to marry second hand husbands (his term for a man who has either been married before or has children with another woman) he didn’t get much attention until singer Tiwa Savage and hubby Teebillz, sensing he had written the piece to sub them, replied.

• Funke Akindele: Her 3-in-1 elaborate marriage to Almaroof Oloyede in May 2012 collapsed a year after, making it one of the industry’s shortest marriages. Although it was blamed on irreconcilable differences, many till date, opine that the marriage would have lasted longer, if her husband had been single or without a child from other women.

• Bukky Wright: Her quiet marriage to Bolaji Basia in Canada became public after it got dissolved on a controversial note. Basia already had kids from his previous relationships. And Basia is only one out of at least three other previously married men Ms. Wright has ben involved with.

• Foluke Daramola: She got married to Kayode Salako in February, 2013 amidst many troubles, accusations and counter accusations. Salako had been married to a pastor with whom he had three children before divorcing her to marry Daramola.

• Stella Damasus: Her rumoured marriage to Daniel Ademinokan, former husband to Doris Simeon, got her on this list. Daniel amidst controversies, divorced Simeon and got closer with Damasus in Abuja where the wedding allegedly took place.

• Annie Macauley Idibia: With 2Face’s many escapades with women and the number of kids he has, Annie Macauley without a doubt fits into this category. Although one must be clear: the pair have moved on and establish themselves as one happy couple, with the days of escapades since over.

• Mercy Aigbe: Before she married Lanre Gentry, with whom she now has a son, Lanre already had been married and gotten for himself three children. His marriage to Mercy didn’t hold until he had fully divorced his former wife.

• Laide Bakare: After divorcing her first husband, Olumide Okunfulire, actress, Laide Bakare got married to Mutairu Oriliowo who already has kids from his previous relationships.

• Nse SE Ikpe Etim: She wedded her UK-based lover in April 2013 in a very quiet ceremony but it didn’t take long before her fans got to know that her man, Clifford Sule already has a 13-year-old son from another woman.

• Ini Edo: Although her husband Philip Ehiagwina claimed to have divorced his wife, Ruth, two years before meeting Ini, there still was trouble before their eventual union.

US based Ruth accused Philip of abandoning her after she helped him secure a stay in the US.

Dozens of elderly women gathered have gathered at a graveyard in Berlin, were they celebrated an historic event: the opening of the world’s first lesbian-only cemetery.

A 4,300-square-foot area was made available in one of the German capital’s oldest burial grounds, the Lutheran Georgen Parochial cemetery, and will serve as the final resting place for up to 80 gay women.


The women cheering and applauding among the tombstones that day were members of SAFIA, a German association of older lesbians who came up with the initiative as a way for their community to stay together in the afterlife.

“We are the first real generation of emancipated, feminist, open lesbians, and we need somewhere to be buried,” explains Astrid Osterland, a 69-year-old SAFIA member. “Lots of us don’t have families to be buried with. Instead, we want to lie with those we’ve fought alongside, loved and lived with”, she said.

For Berlin’s lesbians, the cemetery is more than just a final resting place. It holds political significance for them as the generation of women who fought for the right to love openly and who now want their cause to be visible for posterity.


 “Families want to be together after death, and we want it too”, Osterland concluded.

Iyanya, Nigeria’s fast-rising music artiste, to some people, is not in the good books of Ghanaian actresses, who probably must have felt bad with the way he allegedly treated one of their ‘sisters’, Yvonne Nelson, who he reportedly dated and dumped later.

At the Ghana Music Awards held some weeks ago in Accra, it was reported that Yvonne Okoro initially snubbed the Nigerian singer, after he made efforts to drag her to the stage to dance with him.

However, while some Ghanaians may not like Iyanya for what he ‘did’ to Yvonne Nelson, by only interested in Yvonne Nelson’s ‘waist’, Juliet Ibrahim sees Iyanya as an admirable and talented act.

According to Juliet, while speaking in an interview on AY Show, confessed that Iyanya is one of the Nigerian artistes she admires, just like Flavour, another Nigerian music star.

Juliet stated that she likes Iyanya mostly in his R&B form, describing him as a good and talented singer.

Ghanaian born Nollywood actress, Yvonne Nelson is really scared of settling down after her heart was shattered by Nigerian singer, Iyanya.
This she confirmed in a tweet she posted, revealing why she is still single. In the tweet, Yvonne said that the reason she is still single is because she hates being lied to and cheated on, and that she has not found that special man yet.
Some friends close to her say Yvonne wants a man who is devoted only to her and that she is so jealous and possessive and that makes any man who is in a relationship with her to be quite inadequate since she wants attention all the time.
That may also have been the reason Iyanya had to do a rethink since she was making life unbearable for him with her possessiveness and jealousy.

The battered body of a man was discovered on Olopo Meji, Oworonshoki Expressway in Lagos on Saturday June 14th. The body had been crushed many times by vehicles on the highway. Punch reports that the body was later identified as that of 35year old Yemi, aka Topia, a resident of the area.

A resident of the area, Michael Oladipupo, told Punch that the dead man was the son of a landlord on Mabawonku Street. Oladipupo said Yemi was not killed by a hit-and-run vehicle as the situation suggested, but his body was dumped on the highway to serve as an alibi for his killers. Continue...


“I was called this morning (Saturday) around 9am and told that there was a corpse on the road. I came here and saw his body on the expressway. But as we traced its movement, we discovered that he was dragged to the expressway from a spot close to the Oworonshoki Bridge.
“After killing him, they dumped him on the road so that the scene would look like an accident. Vehicles and heavy-duty trucks passing by have torn his body into pieces so that people will not be able to identify him.” Oladipupo said
He said he could not tell whether some parts of his body were taken away for ritual purposes or not.

Investigations by Punch Metro revealed that Yemi was murdered by a gang suspected to be members of the Black Axe Confraternity, popularly called Aiye.

It was learnt from sources who craved anonymity that the victim, who was a driver, was lured out of his room in the night and bundled into an iron cart, on which he was wheeled to the point of the murder.
“It was the Aiye members that killed him. Yemi is not a cultist, but he had friends who were Eiye members. Because there was a fight between the two cult groups, Yemi was mistaken for a member and targeted.
“They first inflicted machete wounds on him, but when it appeared he was not completely dead, they dragged him to the expressway for oncoming vehicles to finish what they started.” A source said
Some relatives of the deceased were seen sobbing near the site of the incident, while others were overheard breaking the sad news to other family members on the telephone.

A relative was overheard by our correspondent in the telephone conversation, saying Yemi had had a misunderstanding with a man who threatened to kill him.

She said, “They have killed him….He called me few days ago on the telephone that somebody came to his house with his boys and threatened to kill him if he does not pay the money he owed him.”
When our correspondent approached her for comment, she said, “He was sleeping in his room when they cunningly drew him out.”

Leader of All Progressive Party, APC, Bola Tinubu, a year after the demise of his mother, speaks of how much he misses her.

He made this emotional statement, yesterday, during the one year remembrance ceremony of the mother of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji who was the Iyaloja General and President General of Market Men and Women in Nigeria until her death.
Tinubu said: “I miss my mother dearly but I know that all of you who have come here today are there for us. All those who have come here today, I pray that your son will also achieve greatness.”
Prominent Nigerians and All Progressive Party, APC members stormed Lagos for the one year remembrance ceremony one-year fidau prayer which held in Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Lagos among those at the ceremony were Governor Babatunde Fashola, former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Others were Deputy governor of Lagos State, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, a member of the House of Representatives, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, former interim chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, first lady of Osun State, Mrs. Serifat Aregbesola, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Justice Utman Muhammad, retired judge of the Supreme Court.
Also in attendance, were Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas, Speaker of the Lagos and Oyo states House of Assembly, Mr. Adeyemi Ikuforiji and Mrs. Monsurat Sumonu respectively, Hon. James Faleke, among others.
On the legacy of the late matriarch, Faleke in an interview said “The greatest legacy she left behind was to be the mother of all. For instance, I am not from Lagos but she accepted me as her son. Throughout her life time, I was very happy that I had someone like that as a mother.
“I learnt from her how to pray and how to love everyone. I miss her prayers dearly and the role she played as a mother to all.”
The late Mogaji, died on June 15th, 2013 at the age of 96 in her house in Lagos.

Pastor Ralph Okebu and Wife
With the kind of strange events we see these days, it appears we are living in the last days, after all. How do we take this mess involving a Pastor and his Prophetess wife? It is really sad!
As you read this, Pastor Ralph Okebu (47) and his wife Prophetess Caroline Okebu (51) are at loggerheads over ownership of their church, Victory Pentecostal Ministries International Incorporated in Enugu state.

Things are so bad at the moment that the church is divided into two factions. The members who belong to the camp of Pastor Ralph Okebu turn up for worship in the morning while those who hold allegiance to his wife, Prophetess Caroline Okebu attend their own service in the afternoon, inside the same church.

In fact, before the worship arrangement was arrived at, worshippers on both sides had fought physically over the use of the church auditorium located at Km 1 Enugu/Onitsha Expressway. A source said it took the intervention of the police to restore some form of order in the church as they were stationed in the premises for two Sundays to avoid bloodshed...


Narrating how the crisis began, a lawyer who happens to be the church administrator, Chuks Okonkwo, told  the SUN that, "problem arose in the Church about last year... it followed a prophecy that was released by the prophetess in the ministry, Prophetess Caroline Okebu.

Part of these prophecies touched on the general wellbeing of the Church while a part of it touched on certain members of the Church, including the head pastor, Pastor Ralph Okebu. But the personal message that touched on Pastor Ralph Okebu could be seen to be what led to the factionalisation of the Church.

In the Pastor's thinking, such a message by his wife shouldn’t have been revealed on the pulpit because the said message had to do with his amorous relationship with some female members of the church.

And that was how the war began!
Continuing, the lawyer said the police came in and the Enugu State Commissioner of Police personally took over the matter and was mediating. So, as this lasted, the police at some point, about three months ago, decided with the leadership of both factions that the Ralph Okebu led group should be having morning service to dismiss at 12noon while the Prophetess Caroline led group should have their own service thereafter.

Things are so bad that Pastor Okebu and his wife Prophetess Caroline Okebu are no longer living together.
