Nigerian comedian Bovi has just made a joke about his wife, which she might consider not funny.
Detla State-born entertainer, who only a couple of months ago publicly praised his spouse Christabel, now takes to Instagram to call her… ugly.
He posted the photo of Christabel and their second child, who will turn 1 only in September, and captioned it as follows:
“Beautiful daughter, ugly mother, just keeping it real@kristalugboma. Thank God for me who balanced ish up.”
While some of his fans laughed at the stunt, the others blasted Bovi calling him “blind”.

Patience Ozorkwo In a chat with Nigeriafilm.com, when contacted, expressed anger over the speculation and explained that she has more important issues to handle than having a secret affair with an opposite sex. She also stated that as a blunt person, if such was true, she would have boldly presented the man in her life to the public.

“If I am sleeping with any man, it is not an affair because I am entitled to be married. It cannot become an affair because I am not married and my husband is dead. Secondly, I don’t have any man in my life and I don’t intend to have any man. I have friends and I am entitled to my own friends like you,” she said.

Speaking further, Mama G said: 
“It is really annoying when people begin to talk about you with things you never thought of doing. So, to clear the air, I don’t have any man in my life but friends; both males and females and I am working hard to make a living for myself so that nobody will say he/she is affecting my life.”

The actress further denied knowing Pastor Michael Diden a.k.a Ejele, or planning a secret marriage.

“I don’t even know the person you guys are talking about. At this age, I shouldn’t be thinking about having a lover. Instead, I should be thinking how to work seriously to make Nigeria grow,” she said.

The 2014 AMAA Best Supporting actress, who was recently spotted in Uganda at the launch of the second edition of the Uganda Film Festival on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, is currently on vacation in London, taking care of her grandchildren and is due to be back in the country soon.

The President of Actors Guilds of Nigeria, AGN Ibinabo almost caused commotion over the weekend when she entered the venue of City People Entertainment Award in an open front dress without bra.

The mother of five beautiful children wore a sheer net dress that exposed her cleavage to the award ceremony that held at 10 Degrees event center in Ikeja Lagos last Sunday.

Miss Ibinabo has been a subject of controversy with her choice of dress since last year.
Her marriage to Fred Amata ended over infidelity few years ago and since then, she hasn’t remarry.

On Tuesday, the Governor of Osun state declared that PDP should not expect the same thing that happened in Ekiti state in his state in the upcoming (August 9) Governorship election.
Aregbesola who spoke boldly at a campaign rally organized by the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikirun, headquaters of Ifelodun Local Government Area, noted that “the people of Ekiti State had decided to go the way they wanted and we have nothing to do to that.”

He said the PDP’s victory in Ekiti would have no effect on the August 9 governorship election in Osun. Aregbesola, who promised to employ more civil servants, stressed the need for all government workers to support him.
Warning security agents against devilish acts during the election, the governor threatened that “any security agent who mishave during the election would be shown that we are in Yorubaland.”

According to him, “we are ready to co-operate with the security agents before and during the election. Any security officer who, however, mishave will know that we are children of Oduduwa.”

Aregbesola, who noted that he had some on-going projects, assured that he would complete them in his second term. The governor also blamed the Federal Government for the dwindling allocations to the states, especially those controlled by APC.

Hope the Oga on top will not send OPC members to monitor the election.

Nigerian-born day care owner, Jessica Tata, who left young children in her house while she went on a shopping trip to Target has been sentenced to 80 years in jail after four of the children died and three others were injured when a fire started in her home.

Houston jurors, last Tuesday, sentenced 24-year-old Jessica to 80 years in prison for the death of one of the children, 16-month-old Elias Castillo. She still faces charges related to the rest of the children.

‘Nobody wins in this situation,’ the young victim’s’ great-grandmother Patty Sparks said after the sentence was announced.

‘My heart goes out to the Tata family and those precious mothers and fathers who lost their babies.’

Tata, who was only a few years removed from her teens when she started her day care, worked alone most of the time.

Investigators said the February 2011 blaze happened when a pan of oil she had left cooking on the stove ignited while she was out shopping. The same jury that decided her sentence convicted Tata last week of one count of felony murder.

The jury could have sentenced her to anywhere from five years to life in prison. Prosecutors had sought a life sentence, while defense attorneys asked only that jurors not give her an excessive sentence.

She will have to serve 30 years of her sentence before she is eligible for parole. Tata also was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.

A 52-year-old security guard is standing trial on four counts of attempting to defile, segxwal assault and defilement of minors in a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, on Tuesday, 24 June.

Four months passed since Godspower Eva was detained on suspicion of segxwal assault and defilement of minors on March 19, 2014. During the first arraignment the case file was duplicated and forwarded to the DPP for advice. Finally, the court had received legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions directed that Eva be tried for unlawful segxwal assault and defilement of minors.
It was gathered that the accused committed the offences on February 17, 2014 at his residence. He preliminarily  conspired with the girls' 14-year-old classmate, whom he had earlier also defiled, to invite three other 9, 10, and 12-year-old girls to his house with the promise of N100 each.
The matter came to light after one of the defiled girls told her parent about what had happened and the case was reported to the police. However, Eva did not confess to the crime. The offence contravened Sections 409 and 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The defiled minors were sent to the Clinical Psychologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos State, for counselling.

An unnamed man was arrested by the Abia State Police Commandon suspicion of robbery and rape.Biker Arrested For molesting His Female Passenger

A middle-aged man was detained for allegedly molesting a female passenger who boarded his motorcycle at Ntigha Junction. The woman was heading for Umukalu Ntigha but the malefactor had other plans. The man took her to an isolated farm, had a segxwal intercourse and deNood of N850 in cash.
According to the information provided by Commissioner of Police, Adamu Ibrahim, the incident took place around 9pm at Ntigha area of the state. The case is till under investigation, the suspect will soon appear in court.
One more criminal was arrested for allegedly holding five-year-old and seven-year-old boys hostage with an intention to sell them. The offender, Nnenna Ohaja of Ogbodiukwu Umuokpara, confessed to the crime and one of the kidnappers Onyemaechi Alo from Asaba, Delta State, was also arrested and interrogated.
It was learnt that Onyemaechi Alo and Obinna of Obingwa Local Government Area gave Nnenna Ohaja the boys to sell them at the cost of N250,000 each. The victims identified as Destiny Clement and Godspower Ikechukwu, both residents of Delta State, have been reunited with their parents.

The young man pictured above named Sharafa, who works in a carwash was allegedly pushed from a motorcycle in front of AP station Gberigbe along Ikorodu General Hospital on June 22nd by a police officer attached at the Igbogbo Divisional HQ along Igbogbo Road Barracks. The guy is currently receiving treatment at another friend’s house.
