A convicted drug dealer Franklin Meyer has released a secret tape of the mess Angelina Jolie turned into due to hard drugs. This is what Angelina herself described as her dark and dangerous days.

Here's what Mr Franklin Meyer, the ex-drug dealer, told National Enquirer magazine about her:

"Angie was a client of mine for several years. I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs. At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along. When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money."

It was in the process of collecting the money and giving her the drugs that he recorded the video. #SadPast
2  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Inspector General of police Abubakar Accused of Massive Fraud on: 9-07-2014 04:49 PM

A human rights group named Paths of Peace has accused Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed D. Abubakar, of defrauding police officers of billions of naira in a dubious investment scam.

In a petition to the Senate, the group demanded that IGP Abubakar be probed over the alleged multi-billion-naira scheme that affects every policeman in the country.  Paths of Peace, a non-governmental organization that wrote the petition, stated that its objective was to fight for the rights of the oppressed.

The petition, which was submitted to various Senate Committees, including the Committee on Petition and Privileges and the House Committee on Diaspora, alleged that IGP Abubakar deducts N11,000 from each police officer’ account each month. The petition stated that the deductions are part of a scam perpetrated through the so-called “mechanized salary section” (MSS).

The measure allows police authorities to cut the salaries of officers and to divert the deductions into what is called a mortgage bank called Fokas Savings and Loans Limited...

According to Sahara Reporters, the petition disclosed that the deductions were purportedly to be used to buy shares for all police officers. However, none of the officers ever received any certificates or documents detailing the ownership of shares or the size of their shares.

PoP’s spokesman, Dandy Eze, stated that the Senate had previously ordered the IG to stop the illegal deductions from officers’ salaries. Mr. Eze disclosed that Mr. Abubakar had not heeded the Senate’s order.

According to the petition, the IG never refunded the deducted funds to police officers. The petition also accused Mr. Abubakar of flouting the legislature’s order by continuing to make further deductions from police officers' accounts.

PoP urged the Senate to intervene and to prevail on the Inspector General to stop making more deductions and also to refund what he had so far deducted from police officers’ accounts.

If price of oil crashes today, govs flying jets will look for okada to ride – Delegate[/b]
A delegate representing the South West Geo- Political Zone of the country, Yinka Odunmakin told other delegates yesterday that if the price of oil crashes today, governors who he alleged to be going round the world with private jets, will look for motorcycles, known as Okada to ride.

Contributing to debate on report of the devolution of power Committee yesterday, Odunmakin also said that if no oil, only Lagos state out of the 36 states of the country would be able to use its Internally Generated Revenue, IGR to pay workers’ salaries.

He said, “The recommendations of the Devolution Committee to use 4.5 % of our annual budget to develop  other mineral resources outside oil is the most apt thing to do now to get out of the sharing culture that is holding Nigeria down.We are engaged in one of Ghandi’s identified 7 Social Deadly Sins-Wealth Without Work.If oil prices should crash today, all our states would collapse and the governors flying jets all over the place will look for okada to ride.

“The grim reality below shows that we must embrace wealth flowing from work by going under the soil in our various states to diversify the economy.”

On IGR and States’ wages, the delegate said, “Only one of the 36 states can afford to pay workers’ salaries with internally generated revenues,
The remaining 35 states generate only a fraction of funds they require to settle their wage bills annually. This means that without federal funds, these states cannot even afford salaries payment, not to talk of executing any projects

“Information  on states’ wage bills comparisons with data on their internally generated revenues (IGR), published by the National Bureau of Statistics. The result showed that only Lagos  State can pay salaries of its workers by solely relying on revenues generated internally.

“None of the 19 Northern states has this much financial muscle. They all depend on federally-allocated subventions, mainly made up of funds generated from sales of crude oil that is extracted down south.

“Other components of the federal allocation, shared between the three tiers of government on monthly basis, include taxes collected by the Nigerian Customs Service and the Federal Inland Revenue Service.

“The data published by the statistics bureau showed that in 2010 and 2011, only seven states had IGR in two-digit billions. Lagos is the only one with a three-digit figure, while the remaining states had single digits.
In 2012, the situation improved slightly with 12 states recording double-digit figures in billions while Lagos remained the only with three-digit figures.

“The implication of the low revenue generation by the states is that most of them can barely sustain themselves without recourse to monthly federal subventions.
Most states have had to take short-term bank loans to settle wages whenever there were delays in the monthly disbursements by the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).

The heart stopping moment two planes nearly collided on a runway in Barcelona, Spain has been captured on camera. The incident, which happened on Saturday, shows a plane crossing a runway as another plane is coming in for a landing and had to abort just seconds before touching down, with the pilot carrying out an emergency 'go-around' procedure.

The jet, which had travelled from Russia, landed safely shortly afterwards. The video of the dramatic moment was posted on Youtube. See more pics and the video below

Below is what the person who posted it, Miguel Ángel, wrote about the incident

Yesterday (on Saturday), early in the morning...What you see is what happened. An UTair Boeing 767-300 (VQ-BSX) incoming from Moscow as UT5187 and Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A340-300 (LV-FPV)...

The Utair 767 was about to land on Runway 02 while the Argentinas was crossing the runway. By the time russian pilots sight Argentinas (they were taxiing to Holding point of RW25R for take-off) on runway while they were on final approach, they did their best making an impressive and close go around.

After that incident the plane landed safely on runway 02, and the Argentinas took-off heading Buenos Aires. I hope you enjoy the video, Greetings from BCN,

Azealia's ten remaining fans Tweeted their disappointment...hehe. Don't mind me, just having fun at her expense.

Azealia is known to be rude in the music industry, so instead of sympathizing with her, most people laughed. But keep ya head up girl, your story can change tomorrow.

10  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Adokiye Dares Boko Haram: "Why Haven't You Accepted My Request?" on: 3-07-2014 12:57 PM

Hmm, Nigerian singer Adokiye is still talking about this Boko Haram thing o. And this time around, she's even asking why Boko Haram is yet to accept her offer.

Here are excerpts from her recent interview with BellaNaija, where she once again, defended her viginity offer to Boko Haram and stated, as a matter of fact, that she truly doesn't mind being used as an exchange for the release of the missing Chibok schoolgirls.
Let’s set the records straight, Is this a publicity stunt to promote your music and image?
“I made an open offer to some group of people. The question is why they haven’t accepted my request? They should gather up the girls, prepare them for release and then I am sure they will find out if I’m still a virgin.
Publicity card to promote my music and image? Let me even ask! Promote what music? I have not released any music or plan to even release any music anytime soon. So what music am I promoting?
As for my image, if crying for freedom for the release of innocent children, a reminder to the nation that kids are still missing is promoting my image, then I say to you, let my image soar!
Why are you so open about your virginity?
“Virginity has its own spiritual benefit. A lot of girls that are virgins think virginity is not worth keeping probably because they are being mocked and called names, a lot of people say virginity is lack of opportunity. So I am using this great opportunity to let the world know that if you are a girl and a virgin, oh you have a precious gift.
Do you feel in any way that your statement degrades women and trivializes the plight of the girls?
“It can only degrade a woman who does not appreciate womanhood/motherhood. If you are a true woman, you would understand my fight.
Do not miss the point, focus on my fight. Don’t get me wrong, I am not promoting rape or pleading to be raped as what some people are making the situation seem like a joke but whatever those kids are going through, because we cannot see them, I would say should be thrown to me instead and allow them be freed.
I want to use this opportunity to apologise to all the women around the world who have gotten my fight twisted for some reasons or the other to see this as not only a selfless service to humanity but to fall back to the biblical times where Jesus urged us to be our brothers keeper and love others as we love ourselves.”
How do you feel about how viral your statements have gone?
“I thank God. As noisy as I may sound, I thank God there are still intelligent people who understand my fight and where I am coming from. It’s also a reminder to me again that indeed I have a mission here on earth. My point is very simple. I want the world to be restless until the kids are returned.”
How does your partner feel about the statement?
“I don’t have a boyfriend and I am not planning to have one anytime soon. I would say it is a distraction to me for now.”
Why the need to publicly state that the sect should come and take you?
Forgive me to say that I am an Intelligential and I understand that the media has got a way of making people get things twisted, I get it and I don’t feel bad at all.
I thought by now, His Excellency, our Number one man, the President would have assigned reputable youths, intellects who share the same dreams with him, youths of our nation who can help to reduce this trauma we are going through. The world has gone digital and youths are digital. Our nation’s youths are intelligent to fight this fight with our government.
I stand by my words to say I DON’T MIND BEING AN EXCHANGE FOR THE RELEASE OF THOSE KIDS SO THEY CAN GO BACK TO THEIR FAMILIES.
Whatever it is they are going through, for them to be released should be thrown to me. And If they have turned the young girls to their sex slaves, they should consider releasing them and turn me to one.”

12  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / CAPITAL OLE: Delta 2015: Why Urhobo should always produce governor – Omene on: 3-07-2014 12:45 PM
Dr Wilson Odafe Omene, a PDP stalwart and immediate past Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, is currently a consultant in Maritime Affairs. In this interview he bares his mind on a number of burning political issues in Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State and the nation. Excerpts:

What is the state of the PDP in your area and Delta State as a whole?

Politics in Ethiope West, and indeed the whole of Delta State, as far as PDP is concerned has been recently reinvigorated and strengthened by the new strategy applied by the Executive Governor of the state. The governor, during the recent bye-election in Delta Central Senatorial District, directed all party big wigs to go back to their various constituencies and make sure that they delivered them to the party. The Local Government had always been a one party council area, and that is PDP, and we are ensuring that all previous disaffections are buried forever.

What do you mean by all previous disaffection?

There was a leadership structure set up by the former governor, Chief James Ibori. However, the man he entrusted with so much leverage to keep Ethiope West PDP together almost ruined the political prospect of this local government Area. He introduced a pressure group called Amoribility which simply was a misguided, selfish and anti-party activism meant to promote personal interest than collective party interest.

At first, in that structure a number of unpopular folks who are members of the so-called AMORIBILITY in the party tried to cause trouble within the party. The party suffered a great loss because PDP members that were not comfortable with the group were being punished. They also formed another group called Urhobo Political Forum, UPF. When they could not have what they wanted, but succeeded in politically molesting Urhobo people, they killed UPF and went on to form Urhobo Political Congress, UPC.

But a sharp disagreement occurred among them over the 2011 senatorial election. As a result PDP lost the election to a very unpopular party, though with a credible candidate, the late Senator Pius Ewherido of the DPP.

Thereafter, some of the arrow heads of UPC, including its leadership pulled off to form yet another group which they called Urhobo Political Association, UPA. This chain of fall and rise shows their ineptitude in politics and ability to propagate the tenets of PDP.

This is what I meant by previous disaffection in the party which we have overcome.

Now what can you say of the party at the Delta Central and State level?

The party is now very strong at the Delta Central and at the State level. The same episode which played out at our local government level also happened at the Delta Central and at the State level but now the governor in his wisdom is now engaged in constructive party leadership, recognizing the need for a full-scale reform. He has settled most differences, and the party is now waxing very strong at the Delta Central and at the State level, more so as it has finally won the Delta Central Senatorial bye-election.

What is your comment on the issue of rotating the office of governor in Delta State?

There is nothing like rotational governorship in Delta State. There was no time in history that the people of Delta State sat down regionally as a group to agree on rotational governorship. I challenge anybody with such evidence as rotational governorship to come forward and tender it. There was no such agreement at anytime and anywhere. In Ethiope West Local Government Council where we have a rotational agreement, the representatives of all the people in the council area came together to agree to it, and as I speak to you there is concrete evidence that can be relied upon.

At the state level, however, there is nothing like that. Urhobo is to Delta State, as a first son is to any family. Just as the words of a first son are respected in any family that is how the words of Urhobo people should be respected in Delta State. Urhobo voice should be and must be the defacto in the decision mechanism of the state. If the children of one father were to share a fish, it is the senior who takes the biggest portion.

Urhobo being the senior in the family of Delta State, naturally deserve to hold on to the governorship position, after all, the state capital is in Asaba and that should be their share. Urhobo cannot lose the capital as well as the governorship.

14  Forum / The Buzz Central / 'Successful Career Women Can't Have it All' - Pepsi CEO, Indra Nooyi on: 2-07-2014 02:13 PM

Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi, an Indian-born American, is a business executive and the current Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo, the second largest food and beverage business on in the world.  And at the same time, she still is a mom, wife and daughter back home.

In a new interview with David Bradley, who owns The Atlantic, Indra was asked how does she play the two roles and still have a perfect work-life balance?
Below is the transcript of her great reply:

    Q. You came home one day as president of the company, just appointed, and your mom was not that impressed. Would you tell that story?

This is about 14 years ago. I was working in the office. I work very late, and we were in the middle of the Quaker Oats acquisition. And I got a call about 9:30 in the night from the existing chairman and CEO at that time. He said:

Indra, we're going to announce you as president and put you on the board of directors

... I was overwhelmed, because look at my background and where I came from—to be president of an iconic American company and to be on the board of directors, I thought something special had happened to me. So rather than stay and work until midnight which I normally would've done because I had so much work to do, I decided to go home and share the good news with my family.

I got home about 10, got into the garage, and my mother was waiting at the top of the stairs. And I said:

"Mom, I've got great news for you."

She said:

"Let the news wait. Can you go out and get some milk?"

I looked in the garage and it looked like my husband was home. I said:

"What time did he get home?"

She said:

     "8 o'clock."

I said:

Why didn't you ask him to buy the milk?"

Mum: "He's tired."

Me: Okay. We have a couple of help at home. Why didn't you ask them to get the milk?"

She said, "I forgot."

She said just get the milk. We need it for the morning. So like a dutiful daughter, I went out and got the milk and came back. I banged it on the counter and I said:

"I had great news for you. I've just been told that I'm going to be president on the Board of Directors. And all that you want me to do is go out and get the milk, what kind of a mom are you?"

And she said to me:

"Let me explain something to you. You might be president of PepsiCo. You might be on the board of directors. But when you enter this house, you're the wife, you're the daughter, you're the daughter-in-law, and you’re the mother. You're all of that. Nobody else can take that place. So leave that damned crown in the garage. And don't bring it into the house. You know I've never seen that crown."

    Q. What's your opinion about whether women can have it all?

I don't think women can have it all. I just don't think so. We pretend we have it all. We pretend we can have it all. My husband and I have been married for 34 years. And we have two daughters. And every day you have to make a decision about whether you are going to be a wife or a mother, in fact many times during the day you have to make those decisions.

And you have to co-opt a lot of people to help you. We co-opted our families to help us. We plan our lives meticulously so we can be decent parents. But if you ask our daughters, I'm not sure they will say that I've been a good mom. I'm not sure. And I try all kinds of coping mechanisms.

My observation, David, is that the biological clock and the career clock are in total conflict with each other. Total, complete conflict. When you have to have kids you have to build your career. Just as you're rising to middle management your kids need you because they're teenagers, they need you for the teenage years.

And that's the time your husband becomes a teenager too, so he needs you (laughing). They need you too. What do you do? And as you grow even more, your parents need you because they're aging. So we're screwed. We have no... We cannot have it all.

The person who hurts the most through this whole thing is your spouse. There's no question about it.

15  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Soldiers kill RCCG pastor, injure 2 others in Delta on: 2-07-2014 02:08 PM

SOLDIERS have shot dead a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and injured about three others at the quiet Opuraja community in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

The pastor said to be in his 30s was married with four children.

A security source said the soldiers, led by a Captain, came in two Hilux vans to conduct investigation in the community, but were allegedly mobbed by villagers, who misconstrued their motive, as they took away vigilante leader and community chairman.

The soldiers reportedly denied killing anybody, but admitted that they shot into the car when the villagers surged towards them.

The Orodje of Okpe kingdom, HRM, Mujakperuo Orhue 1, a retired army officer, was said to have waded into the matter to calm frayed nerves after the fracas.

He expressed his disappointment over the incident, saying the soldiers should not have fired at unarmed citizens.

The monarch, however, pleaded with the community leadership and Okpe Local Local Government Transition Committee chair, Chief James Augoye, to find ways of resolving the issues amicably.

Former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, who is from the community, confirmed that one person was killed and some persons injured, but said details were sketchy, as the soldiers claimed they fired to scare the crowd.

A villager, who spoke to Vanguard said: “I saw the soldiers, they came to the community, asking for the chairman of the community and vigilante leader. They told them that there was robbery incident on Warri/Sapele expressway and asked them to reveal the identity of the person who owns the farm from which the bandits collected the wood they used to barricade the road.

“They told the soldiers that none of the community people owns farm there, but the military men accused them of not doing their job effectively.

“We saw the soldiers carry them away in their Hilux van and drove to the expressway, where they tied them against their vehicles until it was 6 a.m.

“The youths mobilised and went to the scene where the community leaders were tied and when the army saw the crowd approaching, they started shooting indiscriminately.

“A group of soldiers in another Hilux van apparently heard the gunshots and rushed to the scene, that was how the pastor, who was standing by was shot and he died immediately.”

Opuraja community chairman, Mr Godwill Eyaguobor, said: “The youths in the community are not criminals, none has been caught robbing in the community or engaged in any act of violence.”

Below is a petition from Keyamo Chambers on behalf of the immediate younger sister to the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan.

We are solicitors to Madam Esther Ebiere Gbonkumor and the entire Awin Family. They have briefed us as follows:

That on 7th June, 2014, their son, Mr. Christopher Onoriode Akpomowei Awin, a 31-year old Nigerian citizen, was invited to a picnic by the Ijaw Students’ Association of the University of Abuja as part of the celebration of their cultural week. That picnic held at Agura Hotels in Abuja. We were informed that sometime at about 4:00pm, the picnic came to an end and all the members of the Association left for the University of Abuja Campus and their various residences in Gwagwalada, Abuja. However, Mr. Christopher Awin stayed behind for some swimming exercise. Continue...

The deceased Christopher pictured above with his mum, who is the sister to the First Lady.

However, in a most bizarre twist of events, Mr. Christopher Awin was found drowned to death in the swimming pool of Agura Hotels at about 6:00pm later that day and officers of the Garki Division of the Nigerian Police were called in. A post mortem has been carried out by a certified consultant pathologist who confirmed that his death was as a result of drowning and further added that if the victim had received help within five minutes of being submerged, he would have survived.

Our enquiries have shown that there were two life guards on duty at the pool who curiously left their duty post on flimsy excuses. Further enquiries also revealed that there was a busy Bar beside the swimming pool. Inspite of the expected attendant staff presence, the body of the victim was not found until over one hour after he had drowned.

The queries that arise from the foregoing set of facts are as follows:

1.  Why did the life guards charged with the sensitive responsibility of safe guarding guests abandon their duty post for so long?
2.  Why would the Agura Hotels leave a guest in a public swimming pool unattended to for so long?
3.  Was there no bartender at the Bar adjoining the swimming pool for so long a time?
4.  Why did the Police hasten to reopen the swimming pool (as a crime scene) that was initially sealed for investigations?
5.  Why has no member of staff of the Agura Hotels as well as the Agura Hotels been charged for culpable homicide till date?

We are respectfully inviting you to employ your good offices in ordering a full Coroner’s Inquest for the purpose of resolving the foregoing queries and charge all those found culpable to court.

We repose confidence in your good offices and thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

    Yours sincerely,
    FESTUS KEYAMO, ESQ.
