Congrats to P-Square‘s manager and older brother Jude “Engees” Okoye and his bride-to-be Ify Umeokeke. The couple are expecting their first child together.

Ify and Jude who got engaged on Jude’s birthday – April 24th, will also tie the knot the traditional way this July in Nnewi, Anambra.

 

A few days ago, the World Health Organization (WHO), reported that out of the 759 cases of the Ebola Virus reported in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, from March to June, over 400 people had died.

African ministers and health experts were said to be meeting in Ghana last week to discuss strategies on how to stop the virus from spreading.

And now, it is being reported that a male U.S citizen is currently being tested for the virus in Ghana, according to BBC.

The man, who is said to have visited Sierra Leone and Guinea recently, has been quarantined in Nyaho Clinic, a private facility in the capital, Accra.

Ghana’s health ministry is urging citizens to stay calm, as “precautionary measures” have been put in place.

Solange Knowles has moved on and she wants the world to do the same.

The “Losing You” singer in an interview with Lucky Magazine for its August 2014 issue, she addresses and quickly brushes off questions about her infamous elevator scuffle with Jay Z and Beyonce.

In the issue, the 28-year-old calls the incident “that thing” and said, “What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” she said. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.“

If you recall, after the video was leaked in May, Jay Z and Solange released a joint statement on the incident.

“But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.” said the statement.

 

D’banj‘s star power in full action.

In January 2014 during the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, D’banj helped launch the Do Agric Petition.  The Do Agric Petition calls on leaders for more and better investment in agriculture.

The “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense” singer was first to publicly sign the petition.

In April, he along with 19 African artistes recorded the hit song – Cocoa Na Chocolate to promote the petition and help re-brand agriculture among Africa’s youth.

The campaign has been a success as over 2 million Africans from different countries in Africa signed the petition.

D’banj  recently met with ONE co-founder Bono of U2 presented him the petition in recognition of the way he has inspired Africans to lead the fight for change in Africa.
