When some people will say you should be proud of yourself and show off what God gave you, were they really talking about over sized women like this? One of this woman's laps will be enough to feed a whole community if she was an ostrich but yet without a single shame, she is flaunting her wrinkled skin. LOL...I weep for this generation. 3  Forum / The Buzz Central / Exposed! How Nigerian Rapper Eva Allegedly Jumps From one Bed to Another on: 13-07-2014 07:55 AM

industry, I heard most of our female musician are so desperate to the extent that they sleep with different men just to be famous. I was actually in the midst of some of these promoters where I was told different kinds of gists, how they slept with a particular female musician (can’t mention her name) how she’s good on bed, they started mentioning names of different female musicians, saying they are desperate. But the most mentioned name was female rapper Eva, come and see how dem dey spoil this Lady in my presence, how she’s so cheap, they’ve slept with her countless times and that she jumps from one place to another.

I was told Eva is unarguably the most desperate of them all, they were just yabbing her, I guess she’s was having to much pride lately, feeling too big to respect them, so that was why they disliked her. Especially one promoter that works with City People magazine, he was just saying all sorts of silly things about her. I was told she once dated Ice Prince, I was told she was dating and seriously slamming her former record label boss, who is also a musician, who sang “Bosi gbangba” before they had misunderstanding. I was told several men both musician and non-musician had slept with her. I was just looking like a novice that day, i was surprised, I couldn’t believe it but could these people be telling lies because of the hatred for her? These men are big promoters in this entertainment industry, so I doubt it, they can’t lie now. You know when you are in the midst of men/guys you go hear different things.

I was even told, if any lady want to survive in the entertainment industry she must warm their bed, saying most of these famous female entertainers have warmed numerous men’s bed before getting to where they are today. Please like I said earlier, this gossip abi story ni is ALLEGEDLY. Biko!

Ice Prince may have a BET Award to his name, several international collaborations under his belt ,when asked if his achievements make him the hottest rapper, he told Leadership NG...
(Smiles) I don’t see myself like that. I still see myself as an upcoming musician. I still see myself as having not arrived yet. It’s not even about humility. That is how a man should see himself. I don’t think as a human being you should ever get to a place that you believe you have arrived. That’s why I still see myself as upcoming. I don’t think Dangote thinks he is the richest African, that’s why he’s still making money. You shouldn’t believe that you have gotten there yet because that is way down- you get me? So there is still much more from Ice Prince. It’s like I haven’t even started.

8  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / When Will President Jonathan Apologize To Nigeria? on: 12-07-2014 07:40 AM

I was reading Reuben Abati recently, doing his paid job of trying to defend the president of Nigeria in the case of the three month-long abducted, ‘raped and killed’ girls. I wondered how he feels when he wakes up every morning to another day where the art-of-lying-and-discombobulating will again be perfected and applied at and to literally all matters of national interest. It must be one H of a tough job.

Today it is almost three months that the Jonathan government has been ‘unable’ to rescue over 200 abducted girls, and over three years since the first sets of abducted boys and girls have been with – and died at the hands of – Boko Haram in Sambisa, with the government simply not being willing or able to save them. As the agricultural economy is being destroyed in the north, over 80,000 peasants have been killed and 3 million northern farmers displaced; the third highest displacement in recent recorded World history.

Despite a quarter of Nigeria’s budget being allocated to security, Nigeria’s insecurity is worse than ever in our history, a worse level of carnage than the civil war as NL Wole Soyinka stated.

It is more than obvious that the state of insecurity is paying-off elements in the nation’s military and executive government – the continued proliferation of Boko Haram terror, facilitating the provision for squandering of this quarter of the nation’s budget funds.

This explains why Boko Haram is supplied with Nigerian military armored vehicles, Nigerian military guns and tanks and even cover of the Nigerian air force jets and helicopters to continue its reign of terror on the farmers and traders of the north. Terror pays.

In yesterday’s headlines, Vanguard reported the ascension of Nigeria to the world’s top position in Oil Vandalism. Yes we are now officially #1 according to OilPrice.com, a global organization that reviewed multiple countries and their rates of oil pilferage. Nigeria’s president, Goodluck Jonathan gave millions to an unrepentant Niger Delta terrorist, Government Tompolo and gave him the rights to bear arms and finance a parallel army, whose duty, the Reuben Abati’s claimed, was to secure the oil facilities in the Niger Delta. Are we meant to believe that Tompolo is being financed and armed to defend the nation from oil theft when today we have the worst level of it in our entire military and non military history and have achieved the #1 position in the world? Certainly not.

The list of national criteria in which Nigeria under Goodluck Jonathan has achieved the worst ranking in the world is no news. We have written and published on this, times without number. We are all aware that Nigeria is now #1 kidnap capital of the world; #1 most terrorized nation on earth; #1 for dangerous high sea piracy; #1 in oil spill pollution; #1 in poverty in cognizance of population/economy figures. The list goes on and on. It is also no news that the Jonathan government loves criminals and terrorists; that for the four years of his government, which also are the four years of Boko Haram’s real reign of unlimited terror, not a SINGLE sponsor of the terror group has been convicted by the Jonathan government; that this government frees all criminals and killers, the likes of Al Mustapha, the publicly registered killer of Kudirat Abiola.

We all know how Abba Moro, the man influenced by Satan who killed 25 of us, is still minister of the interior, how Fayose, an indicted criminal, was sponsored with our missing 20-127 billion dollars to re-take Ekiti; we know of Alamieyeseigha, we even know the president’s wife, Patience, also caught by the EFCC in State looting and laundering activities. We know of Abacha, who poisoned us to death with deadly, imported petrol and stole our billions of dollars, who is honored by the present ruler. Our national army today, once a very prestigious regionally recognized force, has been diminished under this government and is now globally recognized for deadly corruption, hopelessness and terror aiding, today known for killing its own soldiers, supplying arms and cover to terrorists and inflicting direct terror on the citizenry with the open burning of towns and public transport buses.

With all this, as Nigeria falls down, down and becomes a globally registered and acknowledged nation of youth unemployment and state targeted murder, oil pollution, terror politics, corruption, over 70% of treasury looting, insecurity with armed robbery, kidnapping, child abduction, high sea piracy, terror exportation, and every terrible indices there is, the question is – is there any point where the president of Nigeria will apologize for this incomprehensible wickedness?

9  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Pastor implicated In Ritual Saga Tells His Side Of The Story on: 12-07-2014 07:36 AM

A few weeks back, a woman was caught sneaking with her neighbour's 9 year old son, tied in a box(Here). She then claimed she was sent by her pastor in exchange for 2.5 million naira..Now, the pastor who is locked up at 'Panti' in Lagos, told his side of the story

“My name is Prophet Ernest Chukwuemeka Nwankwo, from Nsugbe in Anambra East L.G.A, Anambra State. I have a Ministry formerly called Jesus Divine Healing and Deliverance Ministry now called Holy Family, Happy Family Ministry. I was out of Lagos for two weeks. I came back on Tuesday, June 14, and came to my Ministry on Wednesday morning. My ministry is located at 319, Lagos road, Majudeen in Ikorodu. We carry out prayers and deliverance in the ministry.

The ministry started in 1997. We have no less than 15000 members with a spread in virtually all the major cities in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. I started as a member of Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement before I established my own ministry. I am 49 yrs.

“ I do not know how these allegations of ritual actions against me started. My ministry has existed for 17 years and we have never been associated with any bad thing or any untoward allegation. We have been doing well in carrying out God’s work since we came into existence. People troop to our ministry, we organize children’s day for over 30,000 children all over our branches every year. In Ikorodu, we normally have not less than 10,000 children during the day.

We have hosted these children since we stated and we have never had any problem for more than 10 years now. We have equally been doing well in all our activities, we have rehabilitation center where mad people are healed. Relations of such people bring them to our ministry and also stay with them until they are healed after which they will go home. We do not charge them, we feed them free. So, the ministry has been flourishing in all our branches.
“When I got to the office on Wednesday, June 15 to do some work and leave for Abuja for another programme, within 20 minutes, around 7.30am, a group of people, armed with dangerous weapons invaded our ministry, breaking down everything at sight. They also descended on our members who were over 50 in attendance for the morning worship.
They were over 300 and were ferociously destroying all the properties and manhandling everybody. It was like hell was let loose on us. They were armed to the teeth and were unrestrained in their bid to destroy everything in the ministry.
They not only subjected our members to serious beating, they also took all their bags and stripped all the women and children naked. I was inside the office when they invaded the place but they later broke into my office and descended on me. We were all seriously wounded and our bodies covered with blood.
AT PANTI

By Thursday morning, unfounded rumours were flying every where. On Friday, while I was going to treat myself, I quickly sent my lawyer to Panti after hearing the rumours flying everywhere about me and that the case was transferred to Panti.

My lawyer told them that I personally reported to the police at Owute after the incident and that I was allowed to go and treat myself. He then wrote an undertaking to produce me the next Monday and we all came to Panti that Monday straight from the General hospital Ikeja where I had an x-ray. Even one of my ribs was said to have cracked and I sustained other serious injuries.
INTERROGATION AT PANTI

I can’t remember seeing or meeting the woman before. A lot of people come to my ministry so, it will be very difficult for me to know all of them. However, the police at Panti interrogated both of us and, in fact, when they brought her
before me, I could not remember seeing her in life and I told the policemen this fact. I can’t even remember whether she called me on telephone or not because I cannot say the number of people that call me on telephone for my number is open and given to people freely to help in solving their spiritual problems.Nevertheless, the police interrogated both of us, she claimed that Holy spirit told her that I should give her N2.5 million, and that she came and told me to give her the money but I told her that I had no money, that she came back again to me and requested for the money and I then told her to go and bring a child before I will give her the money.
I then asked her where we discussed this, if she has any evidence to show that she ever visited my ministry because visitors to the ministry always register their names before seeing me, or if there is any other evidence to show that we discussed that kind of thing. I punctured her story because I cannot understand what concerns me with her message with her Holy spirit.

SUCKING BLOOD
She also claimed that I have been seeing her in the spirit to suck her blood and that of her daughter with two gallons since she failed to bring a child to me. She claimed that I used to stand at her door for two days, tormenting her, and that was why she had to go for the child when she was caught.

I asked her where we met and discussed because I have been out of town for two weeks and how did she know that I came back. She said she was aware that I came back because I used to carry out consultations. It is well known by everybody that my consultation days are announced for members of the public to come and be healed. She also claimed she called me on phone in December last year and that she came to the ministry once this year but she could not substantiate where we discussed her claims. She was thoroughly interrogated but she kept on contradicting herself as if she was either insane or under a spell. Unfortunately, her daughter she claimed I was sucking her blood with hers whom she said was 14 years was not there during the interrogation.

I had hoped that she was there for us all to be able to decipher what her mother was talking about because she is old enough to speak for her self at 14. I have never had this kind of ugly experience and I pray never to have it again. I also pray that the police should endevour to get to the route of this case because I have suffered so much over a matter I do not know anything about.
KIDNAP SAGA

The man that was shown saying he was kidnapped and brought from Anambra State is one of the mad people undergoing treatment in my ministry. The cousin that brought him to the ministry is Mr. Atuanya, a member of my ministry and his wife has been with him in the ministry while he was undergoing treatment. They are living witnesses and they are ready to testify to anybody that cares to know the truth.
This rumor against me is very painful to me because I suffered for over fourteen years to build this ministry to serve mankind. All of a sudden, and from the pit of hell, an unknown figure materialized from no where to pour odium on me and accuse me of ritual acts. In all these years, nobody has ever complained or petitioned against my activities in the ministry.
Instead, people have been pouring encomiums and giving glory to God for all we have been doing for mankind. The whole thing is still like a dream and I pray I would wake up and testify that it was really a dream. My ministry operates an open door policy, we have no go areas, both visitors and members of the ministry are never restricted even up to my personal office. Why must I send her to bring a child to me when I am happily married with children .
 INCALCULABLE DAMAGE

This very ugly development has affected me psychologically in a tremendous way, the emotional trauma is untold. In terms of the good will I built over the years, the name, in fact, one cannot quantify the degree of destruction done to me by this very ugly and unfounded, mischievous rumor. I have suffered and lost almost everything because the ugly news went beyond the shores of this country.
People have been calling from all the parts of the world and you know that bad news travels faster than any other thing. It is very unfortunate that people believe such a story when there is nothing at all to hang it on the head of the prophet. And, when you look at the woman, you will know that she is some how deranged and we are convinced that by the time police finish their investigation, the truth will be out.
WHY ME?

What I cannot fathom is why she choose to tell all these lies against me. She may have been sent by somebody to run me down because people in that neighborhood said they saw one mysterious SUV hovering around in the wee hours before the incident and also the mother of the victim reportedly said she saw an exotic vehicle that later picked up her children,.

Police should investigate to find out who owns the vehicle and where they were taken to. Who ever picked her children must have a link with this incident.Police should also find out whether this is the first time she is doing this kind of thing and if it is not, how many people must have falling victims to her antics? Worse still, so far, nobody has told us where the woman is from because the way the media descended on the ministry, they left out the main ingredient of the whole matter as if they were sponsored to run down the ministry.
All I know is that she cannot be doing this alone. Her sponsors should be fished out. So far, the police has been professional in their interrogation and they made us understand that investigations will take time and that the truth must surely surface.

INSIDE THE CELL

Inside the cell, I detested being treated like a criminal but I took it as another message point in terms of ministration after all, Jesus went through worst tribulation in life.

10  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Nigerian Army Generals Pocketed $43m Meant For Peacekeepers, Petition Says on: 12-07-2014 07:19 AM

“It is on record and verifiable that over 3,950 troops who participated in Peace Support Operations in Liberia and Sudan between 2013 to 2014 are still been [owed] various months of allowances amounting to over $43.23m US Dollars which is equivalent to N6,919,168,000:00 Billion Nigerian Naira to date,” the petition said.

SaharaReporters has obtained a powerful but anonymous petition written by concerned Nigerian soldiers who claim that the Nigerian Army owes its men and women who have served in various United Nations peacekeeping operations over $43 million.

The document also carpets the United Nations, which it alleges may have collaborated with cheating Nigerian army chiefs to divert the allowances of the peacekeepers into their own pockets.

The petition warned that in view of the present security situation in the country, 3,950 soldiers being owed such a staggering amount could revolt “and this will not be good for our country.”

It also names the “principal actors” involved in the matter to be:

Former Chief of Army Staff (Retired), Lieutenant General OA Ihejirika;
Present Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General KTJ Minimah;
Director of Army Finance and Administration (DAFA), Major General AI Muraina;
Former Director of Army Training and Operations (AHQ DATOPS), Major General JO Nwaogbo; and
Present Director of Army Training and Operations (AHQ DATOPS), Major General JAH Ewansiha.

“It is obvious that lies and deceits have become a tradition among Nigeria Army generals,” the petition says. “They always devise ways to sweep matters that [touch] them under the carpets with cover ups.”

On the world body, the document says, “If the only hope of mankind today the United Nations can collaborate with Nigeria to divert the money meant for payment of Nigerian soldiers who participated in Peace Keeping Operations in Liberia and Sudan, it will be right for one to say that the entire universe is doomed and heading towards destruction.”

Full text of the petition:

NIGERIA ARMY AUTHORITIES EMBEZZLE $43.23M US DOLLARS ALLOWANCES OF NIGERIAN SOLDIERS IN PEACE KEEPING OPERATIONS

If the only hope of mankind today the United Nations can collaborate with Nigeria to divert the money meant for payment of Nigerian soldiers who participated in Peace Keeping Operations in Liberia and Sudan, it will be right for one to say that the entire universe is doomed and heading towards destruction.

The United Nations is known for standard, transparency, justice, fair play and equality but, it is worrisome how this honorable body or few members in this body have targeted Nigeria and descended too low to collaborate with some born-cheat generals in the Nigerian Army to divert soldiers Operation Allowances into their private pockets.

It is on record and verifiable that over 3,950 troops who participated in Peace Support Operations in Liberia and Sudan between 2013 to 2014 are still been owned various months of allowances amounting to over $43.23m US Dollar which is equivalent to N6,919,168,000:00 Billion Nigerian Naira to date. The 800 soldiers from 223 Armour Battalion Zuru, Kebbi State, that served as Nigerian contingent NIBATT 40 at Nyala Super Camp in Sudan Darfur region between June to December 2013 are still being owned 2 months allowance while the 800 soldiers of 15 Field Engineering Regiment Ijebu Ode that served as NIBATT 33 at the Central Monrovia in Liberia between September 2013 to March 2014 are being owned their operation allowance for over 7 months of their return. The 800 soldiers from 322 Artillery Regiment in Benin City that served 10 months in Labado Sudan as NIBATT 41 returned to Nigeria in June 2014 only to meet 1 month operation allowance in their domiciliary account while the balance of 9 months disappear as their counterpart with no one to give account of it  till date.

It was also gathered through an authentic sources that the domiciliary account of the 800 soldiers of 342 Artillery Regiment Obinze Imo State currently serving in Nyala Super Camp South Sudan as NIBATT 43 for 8 months now are red as no dime have been deposited into their account. This also applies to the 750 soldiers of 311 Artillery Regiment Kontangora, Niger State currently serving as NIBATT 34 in Liberia.

When on 11 February 2014, the Nigerian National dailies Punch newspaper published this issue, with a view to finding a solution to this ugly trend, the dubious Nigeria Army through its Public Relations Officer. Brig Gen Olajide Olaleye came up with their lies and deceitful propaganda that “it was not true that the Nigerian Army was owning soldiers arrears of operations allowances”, and to cover up their secret deals within 48 hours they paid in 4 months operation allowance into NIBATT 40 troops domiciliary account remaining 2 months which are yet to be paid till date after 8 months of their return from the operation area.

The questions that remain unanswered are:

1.        Why is United Nations owing only Nigerian Peace Keepers after sacrificing their lives to bring peace to the troubled regions?

2.        If the United Nations have paid the Nigerian military authorities or the Federal Government, where are the monies, who is with it?

3.        Are the authorities concerned waiting for similar Akure incident to occur before they address the issue?

4.        Is the Army Chief Lt Gen KTJ Minimah not aware that such monies are been owned to  his troops by UN or is released by UN and hijacked by his generals leaving these soldiers who have painstakingly and diligently served this nation in foreign land to suffer endless hopes for their overdue allowances?

5.        Why should the Army Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade in his response to the Punch publication of 11 February, 2014 deceive the soldiers and lie to the nation that “the money is not missing and that the authority is working round the clock to secure the funds from the appropriate quarters and relevant agencies sponsors of the mission”.

6.        For over 8 months Army authorities have been working round the clock to secure money that we well know that United Nations MOU with troops contributing countries states that UN pays at the inception of each tenure.

7.         If this is not one of the Nigerian Army general’s lies and deceits, let the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade tell us and Nigerians who are the appropriate quarters and relevant agencies sponsors of the mission that are hijacking these soldiers allowances as he claims?. Is it UN, the Presidency or COAS?.

8.        If the UN is owing Nigeria for over 8 months now as claimed by our generals, where are they getting the $100 and $200 US Dollars respectively that they pay to each troops in Sudan and Liberia in operation area monthly as maintenance allowances?

Considering the present security situation in the country, this is a bad omen. 3,950 soldiers being owned such a staggering amount could revolt and this will not be good for our country. Let us use Akure incident as a lesson and do something before this issue gets out of hand.

It is obvious that lies and deceits have become a tradition among Nigeria Army generals. They always devise ways to sweep matters that touches them under the carpets with cover ups. Here under are the names of the various units that have served either in Sudan or Liberia with the Nigeria banks where they opened their domiciliary account for anybody who wish to verify the authenticity of this report.

Few weeks ago, the burial of Justice Chukwudifu Oputa was spoken by a lot of people, not only because it was a befitting burial for the late justice but because Charly Boy had caused some political trouble when he took the microphone from his governor, Rochas Okorocha during the ceremony, he stated that he doesn’t want anyone to highjack his father’s burial because they are politicians.

Charly Boy revealed that the government said that they gave them N50million and he is asking if we  know the implication of that announcement. He stated that they put his life on the line because villagers thought government has brought money to him. He didn’t deny that he got money from the government but said that N20million or N50 million wasn’t all they spent for his father’s burial.

He said that he is in debt after the burial because the burial of his father was second to none in Oguta. It was carnival like. There were jumbo posters of his dad scattered around the town because it was second to none… A fan said “Tell them joor area father, as you gave papa a befitting burial, so yr children will do for you, . Many many more years and you will live to old age even older than papa. God bless you sir.

13  Forum / Sports / No Goalkeepers As FIFA Releases World Cup Golden Ball Nominees on: 12-07-2014 06:27 AM

What kind of ojoro is this? No Ochua, no Howard, no Enyeama, no Navas, or even Ospinas as FIFA lists the top 10 best players of the 2014 World Cup. I think some of the goalkeepers did way better than the players in this tournament but they were not nominated.

FIFA this evening officially announced the names of the ten players in the running for the adidas Golden Ball, which is awarded to the competition’s most outstanding performer.

The shortlist was drawn up by the members of FIFA’s Technical Study Group, who have been casting their expert eyes over each and every one of the matches held at Brazil 2014 to date. Appearing in alphabetical order, the 10 contenders for the accolade are as follows...see them after the cut...

- Angel Di Maria (Argentina)
In providing Lionel Messi with the best possible support, Di Maria has led the Albiceleste attack with distinction, posing a constant menace to opposing defences with his long-range shooting, mazy dribbling and finishing skills, which he showcased with a well-taken winner against Switzerland in the Round of 16.

- Mats Hummels (Germany)
The Borussia Dortmund centre-half has attracted much praise for his solid displays at the heart of the German defence. As if that were not enough, Hummels has also impressed at the other end of the pitch, rising high to score against Portugal in the group phase and head home the winner against France in the quarter-finals.

- Toni Kroos (Germany)
Kroos ran the show as Die Mannschaft swept aside hosts Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals, dominating the midfield and posing a constant threat with his passing and shooting, which brought him two goals – all in a day’s work for this most consistent of performers.

- Philipp Lahm (Germany)
The Germany captain began the tournament in midfield before seamlessly making the switch to the right-back slot, without it undermining his performance levels or his considerable influence on Joachim Low’s side.

- Javier Mascherano (Argentina)
Though their much-vaunted attack attracts most of the headlines, Argentina have also been solid in defence, a large part of the credit for which must go to Mascherano for his tireless work in providing the Albiceleste rearguard with essential protection.
- Lionel Messi (Argentina)
Messi had never scored at the world finals prior to Brazil 2014, a record he emphatically set straight with some lethal finishing in each of Argentina’s three group matches. Though yet to find the back of the net in the knockout rounds, he has remained an influential figure for his side.

- Thomas Muller (Germany)
In opening his campaign with a hat-trick against Portugal, Muller picked up where he left off at South Africa 2010, where he collected the adidas Golden Boot. His performances since have underlined his status as the spearhead of Germany’s deadly front line.

- Neymar (Brazil)
Though only 22, the livewire forward ably shouldered the huge responsibility of leading A Seleção. Neymar was his side’s stand-out performer with four goals before an unfortunate injury ended his tournament in the quarter-finals.

- Arjen Robben (Netherlands)
The flying Dutch wide man has been in peerless form since putting defending champions Spain to the sword in his side’s opening match. His incisive runs from deep have been a feature of the tournament.
- James Rodriguez (Colombia)
Recognised as a huge talent heading into the competition, the gifted Rodriguez has since proved his ability to rise to the big occasion. His haul of six goals in five outings was a major reason why Los Cafeteros broke new ground in reaching the last eight for the first time.
The winners of the adidas Golden Ball, Silver Ball and Bronze Ball will all be announced after Sunday’s Final.

The FIFA Technical Study Group
Headed by Jean-Paul Brigger, the FIFA Technical Study Group assesses the football played in each of the 64 matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. Its members are Gerard Houllier (France), Raul Arias (Mexico), Gabriel Calderon (Argentina), Ricki Herbert (New Zealand), Abdel M. Hussein (Sudan), Ka Ming Kwok (Hong Kong), Ioan Lupescu (Romania), Gines Melendez Sotos (Spain), Tsuneyasu Miyamoto (Japan), Sunday Oliseh (Nigeria), Mixu Paatelainen (Finland), Jaime Rodriguez (El Salvador) and Theodore Whitmore (Jamaica).

Previous adidas Golden Ball winners:
1982 FIFA World Cup Spain: Paolo Rossi (Italy)
1986 FIFA World Cup Mexico: Diego Maradona (Argentina)
1990 FIFA World Cup Italy: Salvatore Schillaci (Italy)
1994 FIFA World Cup USA: Romario (Brazil)
1998 FIFA World Cup France: Ronaldo (Brazil)
2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan: Oliver Kahn (Germany)

15  Forum / The Buzz Central / Comedian Seyi Law Rides Luxurious Chrysler 300 on: 12-07-2014 06:15 AM

Popular comedian, Aletile Oluwaseyitan, popularly known as Seyi law, is certainly one of the best in the comedy industry both in Nigeria and beyond. He is one of the A-list comedians and has had shows at home and abroad.

The comedian drives a Chrysler 300, which sells for about N5m.

For those looking for a luxury vehicle with distinctive styling and roomy interior without having to bother about adequate legroom, the 2007 Chrysler 300 is a good choice. The power, handling and styling are exceptional.

Described as an example of what a Sedan should be, buyers will congratulate themselves for making the right value decision in buying the cut-rate luxury car.

The car earns praise for its powerful performance capabilities, thrilling driving experience and excellent performance.

Chrysler 300 buyers have a choice of four trims; Base, Touring, 300C and SRT8, each with its own engine.

 Performance

The base Chrysler 300 comes with a 2.7-litre V6, with 190 horsepower. Base models come with a four-speed automatic transmission while all others have a five-speed automatic with auto-manual functionality. All trims come standard with rear-wheel drive type. Fuel economy is excellent on the base as it consumes 18 miles per gallon in the city and 26miles per gallon on the highway, which is good enough for such a heavy and masculine ride. However, the 2007 Chrysler 300’s fuel consumption decreases as the trim level increases.

 Features

The interior features a simple but elegant and refined layout. The large sedan base trim comes with an intelligent instrument panel and controls, dual zone air-conditioning with auto temperature control, security alarm, a power driver seat, CD player with AM/FM stereo and four speakers. The vehicle also has cruise control, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and remote keyless entry.

 Safety

The safety features include full-length side curtain air bags for driver and passengers, adjustable pedals, powerful brake, balanced steering wheel with good response, daytime running lights and good rating in crash rating.

 Seating

The 2007 Chrysler 300 is incredibly spacious and legroom is vast, hence, the rear seats are very comfortable for long trips. There is far more rear-seat legroom than you can find in any rear-wheel-drive sedan in this price range.

According to Forbes, the 300 series really shines on the highway and that power is effortless and confidently quiet with its sweet-sounding exhaust note coming from subtle pipes under the rear bumper.

The good: It has masculine looks, abundant interior space and an extremely roomy back seat, smooth ride and notable handling, especially for such a large sedan. Reviewers also love the abundant safety features, bold exterior styling, lots of luxury and performance for the price.

The bad: Reviewers complain about its poor visibility especially for short passengers due to short windows that start high up so some drivers may feel like they’re sitting in a bathtub. Reviewers also say that the car drives like a bloated tank in cramped situations and sluggish in stop-and-go traffic.

16  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Would You Kiss A Partner With Mouth Odour? on: 12-07-2014 06:07 AM

One of the vows during wedding ceremonies is to love each other for better for worse. While segxwal intercourse, being an important part of marriage, goes hand-in-hand with kissing, one of the challenges that could confront a loving segxwal relationship is if a partner has bad breath, also known as mouth odour. Saturday PUNCH asks some members of the public if they could still go ahead to kiss a partner with mouth odour

I wouldn’t even want to talk with him not to talk of kissing

Omomeji Helen

To be factual, I cannot. In fact, this is the first thing I would lookout for in a man that asks me for a date. Immediately I get to know that the man has mouth odour, that would be the end of the relationship. It irritates me and would not make me feel comfortable with him while talking with him. If I cannot talk with a partner who has mouth odour, how then would I kiss him?

I won’t remember if there is love

Chukwuka Okafor

I can kiss her. I feel if there is love, I may not even remember she has mouth odour until we have finished having fun. It is not easy to cope with that kind of issue and it is difficult to live with, but we will both go to the hospital to look for solution, and we will keep looking until we find. Marriage is sweet when there are no such reservations. I know there should be a way out. Then, the solution is not for me, really, because I can cope with it, it is for outsiders who might come close to her, so we will solve it together.

I will kiss him with my whole mouth and heart

Funmi Eguntola

Why won’t I? Is he not my spouse? Didn’t I notice that in him before we hooked up together? It doesn’t sound good when I put a distance between my spouse and I simply because of a particular ailment. In fact, I would kiss him with my whole heart and mouth. There’s nothing irritating in it. Meanwhile, the mouth odour could be as a result of his bad eating habits and others. If I don’t like the mouth odour, then we would seek medical solutions to it.

I can’t have sex without kissing

Omisakin Omitola

Since we are married, for better, for worse, I will join her to find solution to the problem. If it is my girlfriend I can run away, but my wife, there is nothing I can do than to support her. I have to carry it like a cross and that makes the difference. She is my wife so I will still kiss her because I can’t have sex without kissing. We will continue to do that until we find a solution, and if there is none, we continue like that, until the end of time. As humans, it may affect our lovemaking but it won’t be a big issue and it won’t affect my love for her.

I’ll seek other means of expressing love to him

Oyebiyi Adesewa

I cannot do that. Even if he were a complete gentleman, that aspect of him having mouth odour would create a barrier between us. That I cannot cope with. I would have to seek other means of expressing my love to him (if at all there is) apart from kissing. Yes, it could be that bad.

I cannot be kissing the odour

Casmir Chukwu

That is a million question. Even though I like kissing, I won’t kiss her because personally, I detest bad hygiene. I believe marriage is to be enjoyed and not endured. If my wife has bad odour, will I be kissing the odour? The best thing will be to find ways to treat it so we can get on smoothly. Even if she eats onions, which smells naturally, there are some particles hanging in her teeth, or she eats anything that gives bad breath, I cannot kiss her, not to talk of odour. In fact, that can end the relationship. Before we find a solution, we can do other things but kissing will be out of it. A woman you marry should appeal to you in all ways.

I cannot be irritated because of mouth odour

Oluyinka Busayo

I would never be irritated with anything that concerns my love. The appropriate thing that is expected of me as his wife is to tell him he has it and help him look for a solution to the problem. I cannot abandon kissing because of that. It shows I do not really love him. I will buy him products that can help eliminate or reduce the odour so I can enjoy kissing him. That is what a good wife should do.

I can’t refuse her because of that

Tony Abiola

That is why courtship is very important. I will endure it until there is a way out and it won’t affect my relationship with her. What she needs is support and I should be there for her and together we will look for a solution. Love covers all, which includes such things like mouth odour. Even though we will do it occasionally, it is not everytime we have sex that we must kiss except she requests for it. And if she asks for it all the time, I can’t turn her down because she is my wife, I will oblige her, but I will let her realise that we need to solve the problem.

I’ll buy products to cure the bad breath

Adetunji Betty

Why wouldn’t I kiss him – because of mouth odour? Absolutely, that is wickedness. He is my spouse for goodness sake and not some guy I picked from the street for lust. I love him and must appreciate everything about him. Mouth odour is just a medical problem that has medical solutions. There are even many solutions to it. So, why would I not buy something to cure the bad breath and have nice moments together?

I will kiss her with the odour

Alabi Oluwadare

As long as we are married, we will continue to kiss and have sex. If I am the one with an issue, I know she would stand by me because most women love their husbands even in times of troubles. It does not matter whether we have children or not, I will continue to love her and I will not put it in mind as an issue. I will continue to kiss her when there is need and I won’t even express any reservation so she won’t feel bad. However, we will continue to look for solutions till we find one. She is my wife and I will love her in spite of that, so we can have a happy home.

17  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / I’ve Prayed For Forgiveness, My Dad Was Really A Good Father – 21-Yr-Old Student on: 12-07-2014 06:04 AM

Tolani Ajayi was cool and his mien was exceptionally calm. One could have mistaken him for a young man who had just rolled out of bed to answer a knock at the door. But what brought him to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ogun State Police Command, Eleweran, Abeokuta was an unimaginable crime.

The 21-year-old man’s face betrayed no emotion safe for occasional easy smile that lightened up his face. One would notice immediately that Tolani was not a young man who was likely to have experienced much suffering in his life as despite his present condition, he was unmistakably handsome.

When he sat down for the interview with Saturday PUNCH, he used his two hands to wipe his face as someone preparing for a good show in the glare of the camera.

But Tolani had it all figured out in his head.

“Why is that important?” he would say to one question, “I have answered that in my statement with the police,” he would say to another question.

He was prepared to frustrate any attempt to get him to give the gory details of how he hacked his 64-year-old father, Mr. Charles Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria to death at a house within the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the middle of the night last week Thursday.

Tolani would later budge to give a chilling detail of how he killed his father, a story that seems to come straight from a Hollywood movie script.

Reports about the murder had dwelled on Tolani’s drug problem but he took time to clarify the issue. He said he indeed had problem with the management of the Redeemer University as a result of his drug using habit, even though he would not reveal what kind of drug it was.

He said, “I was not introduced to drug by my friends. Of course, they may have told me about drugs but it was my choice to get drugs and use them. I can’t tell you where I got the drugs either.

“Drugs did not push me to kill my father, I was just angry because he was hitting me and also bit me in my shoulder. I had to rush to the kitchen and took a knife that I used to stab him. It was after that I went to take a cutlass that I used to hack him into pieces.”

The young man said it was his father’s choice for him to attend the RUN, stating that his university of choice was the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Asked how that made him feel, Tolani simply shrugged and smiled.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that Tolani’s wayward behaviour was the reason the father left his Abuja base for the RCCG Camp for a prayer intercession for his first son.

In the middle of the night, around 1.30am, the father woke up for a prayer and urged the son to take part, it was learnt.

The police said as the father prayed, the son kept mute. But when the infuriated father urged him to say ‘Amen’ to each word of prayer, Tolani reportedly told him, “You are praying to God, not me. Why is it important that I should say ‘Amen?” He was said to have willingly and calmly explained to the police what transpired between him and his father.

Our correspondent asked if his father was in the habit of beating him and whether that was why he felt he had had enough, Tolani firmly said that his father never beat him and that that was the only time he would bite him.

“He was a good father and actually took care of us well. I never lacked anything. I was just angry that day,” he said.

The young man told our correspondent that he regularly attended church programmes but said, “I am not a spiritual person.”

“I have prayed since I killed my dad and asked God for forgiveness because I actually regret that I killed him. What can anybody do for me? I am ready to face the consequences of my crime.” he said.

Asked if he had spoken to his mother who was at home in Abuja when he was killing his dad in Lagos, Tolani shook his head.

He said, “I expect that she would be devastated right now and would still be mourning. I would tell her I am sorry when I speak with her.

“But I have spoken to my sister on the phone since after the incident. She was devastated too.”

Tolani, a 300-level student of History and International Relations, said he even has a girlfriend and other friends in school, who would obviously still be in shock at the moment.

When our correspondent spoke with the spokesperson for RUN, Mr. Tunji Adeleye, on the phone on Wednesday, he expressed the university’s displeasure about reports that had attached the name of the institution to crime.

He said, “We are strict and enforce scriptural value, any misconduct or plan for misconduct can earn summary dismissal. RUN is not a rehabilitation centre, parents cannot transfer their responsibilities to institutions. But we don’t have information from the parents about how he was raised. So, we cannot assume anything. People should not add to the family’s agony.

“The case did not happen under our jurisdiction. The boy has even said he was on holiday. We don’t have much information more than what is already reported in newspapers.

“Only God can remedy the damage that reports about this case has done to the image of RUN. People should focus on the investigation by the police because it has nothing to do with us.

“In any case, the Vice-Chancellor is not available now. We will reach out to you when he is available to give any information we may have on the boy.”

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, said investigation would reveal every hidden truth about the crime committed by Tolani.

He said, “The boy did not deny anything. He did not attempt to run away when our men got to the house. It is quite unfortunate. Something propelled him to kill his father in such a gruesome manner but we will leave that to the court because he would be arraigned soon.

“The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, commiserates with the family for this unfortunate incident and we will liaise with the management of RUN on the matter.

“But we want to use this opportunity to advise schools, individuals and families to learn from this incident. Even, we as police have a lot to learn from this.”

19  Forum / The Buzz Central / Parental abuse: Freeze Coolfm shares his experience and views on the issue on: 11-07-2014 10:43 PM

Comedian Wale Gates made a case for the Redeemer University student who reportedly killed his father during an argument in their home last week. (Read here). Now popular OAP Freeze Coolfm has written an article sharing a bit of his own experience with his own father growing up and also sheds some light on why some parents are too hard on their children. Read his article below...
I read with much respect and admiration Wale Gates tweets about the student who killed his father at the redeemed camp, and I must say he has greatly earned my respect. He chose to speak out instead of condemning and threw some light on the enormity of an issue we most often take for granted.
However, I must point out that even though we both sympathize with the boy’s predicament as truly many times parents turn beating, which indeed is a good form of punishment into abuse, standing up to ones parents is a sin as great in proportion to, or even greater than adultery, murder and stealing. Continue...

Honour your father and your mother is the 5th commandment (Exodus chapter 20 verse 1 to 17) while thou shall not kill and thou shall not steal are the 6th and 7th commandment respectively. The 1st till the 4th commandments talk about GOD the very next commandment deals with our parents, clearly signifying that after GOD our parents come next, even before priests, pastors etc. According to islamic teachings parents must always be respected

Festus Keyamo who was among the lawyers shortlisted for SAN this year didn’t make it to the final list. He said 17 made it and even though 3 female lawyers applied none made it this year because the exercise was rather tough. The awardees would be inaugurated at the beginning of the new legal year, which is in September.
