Seven police men who were jailed for negligence after robbers broke into the Anambra Government State House 13 days ago and carted away 11 brain boxes of Hilux Vehicles and also smashed some of the vehicles windscreens are still cooling off in police cell.

A civilian who was also said to have made a suspicious call around 2.am, 10 mins before the robbers arrived, has also been arrested and detained.

The men who were said to be sleeping on duty were transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID’s) detention room from the police station they were previously kept for further interrogation which makes it their 13th day in detention.
A brain box of each Toyota Hilux is said to be between 80,000 to 90,000 naira. Eyah!

A Christian man in Iran was sentenced to have his lips burnt with a cigarette for eating during the day in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The shocking punishment  carried out in public  in the city of Kermanshah after he received 70 lashes alongside five other Muslim men for not fasting during Ramadan.The punishment was confirmed by the city's deputy governor Ali Ashraf Karami.The National Council of Resistance of Iran, denounced the treatment as 'savage' and called on western countries to take action.

Transformer Exploded In Ejigbo Lagos During Rain Storm

Disaster struck last night when a high tension wire caught fire and fell on top of some buildings in Ejigbo area of Lagos state Nigeria.

15 houses including multi million naira properties were burnt down. A man identified as Baba Sadiq lost his life to electrocution while attempting to rescue his wife and children.

The victims are currently being treated in the hospital.

According to an eye witness, the incident happened late last night around 11pm during a heavy rain storm.

The high tension wire was said to have fallen off the wooden poles used to erect it because the pole had become weak over the years and could not hold the wire in place any longer.

The resident said that after the high tension wire fell, the transformer in the area exploded, wreaking havoc in streets such as Oboye, Fashola, Shawande, Aminatu, Ilo and others.

The residents blamed PHCN officials who have refused to replace the wooden poles with concrete poles.

A popular chief in the area, Chief Samuel Obende said the same thing happened in 2012 and all letters written by the community to PHCN were ignored.

Meet Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi, a popular Peace preacher who escaped an assassination attempt by suspected Boko Haram Islamists today.

According to a source who sent us his picture this afternoon, the man of peace was on his way to Murtala Square in Central Kaduna this afternoon when a Volkswagen golf car exploded on Alkali road, very close to Murtala Square where he’s scheduled to lead prayers for Ramadan Tafsir.

The bomb targeted at his convoy went off after he left the area, though the cleric escaped unhurt several passersby were killed. 25 bodies were recovered from the scene.

The source said he had earlier escaped gunshots fired by the militants before escaping the bomb blast.

Sheik Dahiru Bauchi is an elderly Islamic leader who had spoken against Boko Haram in the past.

The Abia state police command has paraded, among others, a 27 year old undergraduate of Madonna University, Chijioke Ezebuiro, for allegedly killing his 87 year old father, Dr Emmanuel Ezebuiro.

Speaking with newsmen in Umuahia, NigerianTribune reports that the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Geoffrey Ogbonna, who paraded the suspect alongside other cultists and robbers, said that Chijioke Ezebuiro  is the prime suspect as he was the only person in the house at the time of his late father’s death.

Ogbonna said that the death occurred on June 30, 2014 at the deceased home at Umuoriehi, Isingwu
in Umuahia North local government area and was reported to the police by one Ezebuiro Chimezie of the same address who said the deceased had been bed ridden for some years.

He said that on the fateful day he (Chimezie) had left him in the house to drop his children in school and that when he came back, he met the deceased on the ground in his own pool of blood and quickly called the deceased personal doctor who confirmed him dead.

The PPRO said that the complainant had told the police that when he left the house to drop his children, the suspect, Chijioke Ezebuiro, his younger brother, was the only one in the house when the incident occurred, adding that the suspect had threatened his father’s life a number of times.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has concluded arrangements to declare the impeached Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, wanted. The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, made this known to   one of our correspondents in a telephone interview in Abuja on Tuesday. Uwujaren explained that the commission was set to do so   because Nyako had been elusive since his removal by the members of the state House of Assembly last week. He said, “Since Nyako was removed, he has been elusive. So the commission has devised a strategy to declare him wanted. The commission is planning to declare him wanted.” But an aide to the impeached governor, who asked not to be named, claimed that the   commission had already     declared his boss wanted.

Popular Nollywood actress Bukky Wright’s second marriage to a New Jersey-based socialite Adewale Onitiri has crashed.

The 4-year-old marriage has ended on the ground of mistrust and infidelity.

The crack in the marriage became apparent when Bukky returned to Nigeria after her marriage to continue with her acting career and business.



Adewale Onitiri whose first wife died of cancer few years ago stayed back in Trenton, NJ where he got married to Bukky Wright to take care of the children from his first marriage.

The trouble started when Mr Onitiri came to Nigeria unannounced on a fateful night only to discover his wife who claimed she’s at home was missing in his Ajah Lagos home.

With other unconfirmed tales of his wife’s alleged escapades in the country while he was in America, Mr. Onitiri was said to have been angry and requested she leave the couple’s Ajah, Lagos home.

As at the time of this report, Bukky Wright has left Onitiri’s mansion in Ajah to an undisclosed location.

School activities were paralysed on Monday at Onireke Girls High School in Ibadan oyo state when suspected kidnappers dressed as insane people invaded the school premises.

The kidnappers numbering about 5 had been terrorising students and staff of the school in the last few weeks.

They were sighted on Monday by a food vendor and some students inside a bush behind one of the blocks of classrooms within the school.

The situation led to confusion as the students, including those sitting the Junior Secondary School Examinations, reportedly ran for safety.

Some of the students, however, informed the vice principal of the school (name withheld) of the presence of the ‘mad persons’ within the school premises.

The vice principal was said to have followed the students to the scene to confirm the report, but on getting there, one of the suspected kidnappers came out of the bush and attempted to attack him.

The situation made the vice principal to alert the school’s gatekeeper and some male teachers, who immediately chased the hoodlums to their hideout.

The teachers and the vice principal were, however, able to capture one of the hoodlums, while their hideout was thoroughly combed.

The arrested suspect has been taken to a police station.
