The question is, which guy doesn't have this dream? When asked in a recent interview who he would like to be stuck in an elevator with, Lynxxx said;

If I was to get trapped in an elevator with someone, it would be Genevieve Nnaji

Though, they look perfect together. I bet they would make a beautiful couple.

Now to pals, if I you were to be trapped in an elevator, who would it be ?  Don't mention Patience Jona oh! .

3  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / U.S Man who'd entire face transplant following shotgun accident becomes a model on: 2-08-2014 10:31 AM
No wonder Shekau, Boko haram terrorist's face keeps changing all the time.  So  they have also done face transplant and put it on someone else's face right ? As Nigerian security agents claimed they have killed the original Terrorist. Read full report on the topic bellow.

For fifteen years, Richard Norris had a face too hideous to show. A shotgun accident when he was 22 blew off his nose, cheekbones, lips, tongue, teeth, jaw and chin. He was trying to move the gun from leaning against a cabinet and it accidentally went off, according to Mirror UK. Miraculously, Richard survived, but was left horrifically disfigured.
But thanks to one of the most complex facial transplant surgeries ever performed, his life has changed forever. In fact, Richard now has the kind of swarthy, youthful good looks of a film star.

He gets thousands of fan letters every year and is on the cover of this month’s GQ magazine. Apart from his brown eyes, almost every part of Richard’s face, even his tongue, belonged to someone else. It was taken from a recently deceased 21-year-old and attached to his scalp during pioneering surgery by Eduardo Rodriguez, a Baltimore reconstructive facial surgeon in March 2012.
Despite the success, Richard, now 39, has to take pills every day and be extremely cautious to maintain his health. He cannot get sunburn, a cold drink, alcohol or risk falling. Even a cut could trigger rejection of his face.

He was chosen for the face transplant after more than a dozen operations which attempted to give him functional use of his mouth. Though, Richard managed to keep his eyesight, doctors could not repair his lips, nose or the front of his tongue.
The day-and-a-half operation involved more than 150 doctors, nurses and staff at the University of Maryland Medical Centre. When he saw his new look in the mirror for the first time, Richard was understandably overjoyed.

Experts gave him a new tongue for proper speech, eating and chewing and normally aligned teeth. They also connected his nerves to allow him to smile. Dr. Rodriguez, who led the transplant, says: “It’s a surreal experience to look at him.
“Before people used to stare at Richard because he wore a mask and they wanted to see the deformity. Now they have another reason to stare at him and it’s really amazing,” he said.

After years of going out of his way to avoid people, Richard is now surprisingly comfortable socialising, especially with staff from the hospital.
But while his tranformation has been described as amazing, it will take time for him to recover fully. Medical staff are currently teaching him who has not eaten or spoken properly for 15 years, how to use his fully functional face. He will also have more minor surgery for the soft tissue of his face – such as his eyelids.

6  Forum / Politics / Would you grant your spouse access to your ATM card pin? on: 1-08-2014 10:47 PM
Married couples could fight over a lot of issues, some of which could be ‘trivial.’ Some of those issues could lead to the breakup of homes, especially when they lead to a situation whereby the partners could no longer trust themselves. Gistmania asked some people whether they would grant their spouses access to their Automated Teller Machine card pins

I’ll do so to let her know I love and trust her

Ajala Adeolu

Trust and transparency are very important in a relationship. If I truly love her, I must not hide anything from her. Carrying her along in everything and building a formidable intimacy is part of my commitment to our relationship. Like I said, if I really trust her, I could even give her the card to keep for me till when I need to withdraw money. So there is no problem about me letting my wife know my card pin and other digital passwords. It is a sign of trust and love.

As long as he doesn’t take me for granted

Erinosho Esther

Since he is not a greedy and wicked-hearted person, I would grant him the access. I could even give him my other important documents if the trust is there. I understand one must be very careful with men these days, but I have known my partner all this time, he is a good man, my best friend, confidant, and mentor. He could even help me withdraw some money if I am busy. One’s spouse should be one’s next of kin, closest friend, and believer. There should be no hiding of anything from him. As far as he doesn’t take me for granted, he is the only person that should know everything about me.

She is a stakeholder in my life

Folorunsho Ifedayo

This is my wife we are talking about here; hence, I have no reason keeping anything from her. She is a stakeholder in my life, and as a stakeholder, she has the right to know everything about me. She is my partner, and according to my dictionary, a partner is a word coined from “part owner.” Granting her access to my card pin is to prove the point that she is really my partner, not a mere girlfriend. Doing little things like this are what strengthen love and trust in any relationship.

On the condition of reciprocity

Sarah Ayanwale

If I were to allow him have access to mine, he should be ready to grant me access to his. He is the leader of the home and should, therefore, be able to set examples in everything. He should be a pace setter in the home by being the one to lay the foundation of trust and love between us. If he is faithful in his obligations, I would gladly be open to him in everything because women love men who are open to them.

It depends on her knowledge of financial principles

Ogunwale Olumuyiwa

If my wife is the type that has sound financial intelligence, she would be given access. There are two types of partners as it relates to finances: one knows how to only spend and devour a man’s resources, while the other knows how to build and create. If I have the latter, I would be happy and be confident of even keeping my card with her. But if my wife has a poor spending culture and buys anything on impulse, the only card she would even see around is probably the one where I have the least amount of money. I may be forced to operate multiple accounts.

He’s free to use it, but…

Ohiara Chidinma

I can share with him because I trust him. I believe in trust and love. So, even if he uses it without telling me, I believe it is for the good of the family so I won’t take it as an offence but I will ask him the purpose for using it. I know he has no other woman outside, and the money could be either for him or the family, and I have no issue with that. In fact, it is possible he withdraws some money and use it to buy clothes for me. However, if things change and he uses it for unjustifiable purpose, I will stop him from using the card and change my pin.

She is my wife, and has the right to know it

Adebowale Charles

I will gladly grant her the access because she is my wife. She has the right to know everything about me. Why would I be hiding anything from her? Even if she uses the privilege to withdraw from my account without permission, as far as she is spending the money on herself and the children, I have no problem with that. At least, I would be the one to enjoy her if she uses the money to look good and happy. I trust her and that is just it.

I see nothing wrong with it

Emmanuel Gloria

Yes. I will share my ATM pin with him because we are supposed to share topmost secrets with ourselves, and since ATM pin is not a secret, I will disclose it to him. If close friends could have access to it, why not my husband. It doesn’t matter whether I’m there or not, however, it becomes an issue if he uses it behind me without letting me know and without a good reason. The only thing that can make me change my pin and keep it away from him is if I find out that he’s draining my account while keeping his own money away from me, or if he’s saving his own money and spending mine, which is bad.

I would gladly grant her the access

Peter Ugwu

My final answer to that question is yes. We were married in the first place because I trusted her. Once that trust is not there again, that means there is something wrong with our love. Hiding my card pin from her shows I do not trust her again, which shows our love level is dwindling. As long as I trust her, I would not mind granting her the full access.

He is a man of God

Akinjiyan Melody

I don’t mind telling him because I have known him, I love him and I trust him. In fact, a relationship without trust is trouble-bound, so I believe he won’t betray my trust and I also know he is mature enough to keep it safe and confidential, and more importantly, he is a man of God. Even if he doesn’t tell me his own, I will still allow him access to mine. He’s free to use it even without my knowledge but it has to be unavoidable and for a good reason too. But, if I see funny and suspicious moves, or if I ask for his own pin and he doesn’t tell me, I will change my pin and deny him access.

Now to pals in the house..  Would you grant your spouse access to your ATM card pin?

Ghana has officially banned flights from 4 West African countries; Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Nigeria, citing concerns about the rapid spread of the Ebola virus, which has claimed several lives.

Charles Asare, Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company, said the measure was part of a set of emergency management plans officials are rolling out to combat the spread of the virus. Continue..

The government there has also implemented strict restrictions on the movement and management of Liberian refugees in camps in the country.

Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Mensah, urged Ghanaians to bear with the government as they work to contain the virus. "Preparedness is not an event but a process," he said.

6 year old Nigerian weightlifter Chika Amalaha has been stripped of her Commonwealth Games gold medal after failing her drugs test. She won the 53-kilogram division last week making her the youngest ever female to win a weightlifting title at a Commonwealth Games but unfortunately a few days later, she tested positive for diuretics and masking agents.

Commonwealth Games Federation announced today Friday August 1 that her B sample also showed traces of the substances amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide, both of which are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency...and said they will look into how she had access to the banned substances.

16  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Ebola: Fashola wants Nigeria borders closed on: 1-08-2014 07:58 PM

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has urged the Federal Government to shut down its borders with affected West African countries to prevent outbreak of Ebola virus in the country.  Fashola on Friday at Lagos House, Ikeja, said Ebola was no longer a local problem, but an international one that required urgent measures in place to prevent its spread.
He said,

“This is because it is easily transmittable across the borders and boundaries.
“The Federal Government team has been working with the state’s team. But I think what the Federal Government should do is to consider closing down some of our borders.
"It is difficult to stop this epidemic and we must now choose the treaty obligations that we hold under the ECOWAS treaty and perhaps short term benefits in terms of economic cost to human life. We must make that choice and consider it very seriously. It is a national security issue and I think that we should give it that attention.
“I think that men and women who man our border posts – sea, air and land -especially the customs, now know that they are our first line of defence.
“It is prevention, rather than calling the health professionals to quarantine people, that is really the strongest defence against the virus.”
Fashola said the cremation of the remains of the Ebola victim in Lagos was the best option as dead bodies emitted fluid.

The governor added that all residents who had contacts with the dead Liberian had been tested and that the result proved negative.
“But there is still risk because we heard that a dead body was brought into the country from Liberia. This means that there is still need for vigilance at our border post. The officials at these places should act professionally and report every incident they suspect,” Fashola added.

18  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / #BringBackOurGirls: Hurt me with the Truth, Don't comfort me with a Lie ! on: 1-08-2014 03:01 PM
One truth is that most people one earth are brainwashed but our brainwash differs.  White people were brainwashed by their capitalist greedy leaders to believe that they are better than Africans both mentally and physically. White people were made to believe that African are created to serve the west as slaves and worths nothing better than enslavement.

They were taught that we were savages and uncivilized. They lied that they were responsible for al the great achievement of kush, kemet, nubia, timbuktu, etc. this kind of brainwash makes one feel happy and comfortable even when he/she is poor and oppressed he/she still feels that "I'm better than so many people". this is what makes many european racist, its not because they are rich (mentally, physically or otherwise) but to the Africans, the kind of education and information we have about ourselves are always against what our ancestors leaved us to live with. the kind of brainwash we've gone through is the worst ever. we were told that our black skin is a curse even when its scientifically proven that melanin rich people has lots of advantages others.

We were made to believe that our ancestors were savages, they even teach us "African history" in school starting from slavery, no mention of our great achievements. Europeans colonized our history and twisted all our greatness to look like their achievement. even till this day, they still set up some terrorist groups of stupid black fools to fight for political and economic power all in favor of the west while using religion as a mask. they either label them al-qaeda, al-shabab,boko haram etc. the west curses problem and makes it escalate using media to propagate both conspiracy and truth so to get global attention, with that, the US will invade your nation, act the hollywood action film that they've planned and demand fro huge compensation from your country.

Through this, they suck you dry and exploit your land and natural resources. Now, many people still think the west needs to help Nigeria the way they help destroyed libya. we've been made to believe that the only thing a black man can do best is entertainment, but in areas of science, technology etc, we are powerless and useless. now its time we all spread the truth across to all black people possible because the longer we stay without exposing the truth, the worse our condition becomes

20  Forum / Politics / FG "Bokoharaming" Osun ahead of gov poll -APC on: 1-08-2014 01:07 PM
The All Progressives Congress has raised the alarm that the PDP-led Federal Government has started terrorising and intimidating the peaceful people of Osun State, with a view to cowing them ahead of the August 9 governorship election in the state.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party wondered why the FG will send agents of the Department of State Services, some of them masked and clad in black, to the state to harass innocent citizens in an unprovoked and primitive show of power that can only be described as sheer gangsterism.

It said, ”As widely reported, DSS agents, armed to the teeth and riding in over 50 trucks, drove around Osogbo and other parts of Osun State on Wednesday blaring siren and shooting sporadically in the air, thus disrupting the normally peaceful life in the state.

”Residents who were visibly traumatised by the shameful display of state power ran helter-skelter and wondered why their government has sent masked men, or ninjas, to terrorise them. They now understand that the masked thugs who have been following the PDP candidate around on his campaign trail were actually government sanctioned. This is a power show taken too far, even with the well-known impunity tendencies of the Jonathan Administration.”

APC said information at its disposal shows that 5,000 more DSS men are being dispatched to the state before the election, on the basis of an orchestrated petition alleging that certain APC leaders are planning to foment trouble during the election.

It said, ”The real purpose of this fake petition and the consequent deployment of thousands of secret police to Osun is to harass, intimidate and arrest the leaders of the APC in the state, in a repeat of what transpired in Ekiti.

”Flooding Osun with irresponsible DSS officials to terrorise the residents is another low for a government that is notorious for abuse of power and federal institutions. It is no longer news that the military, the police and other security agencies are working for the Jonathan Administration, rather than for all of Nigeria. What is new is that the security agencies have now been unleashed on the citizenry.

”What rankles even more is the constant assurances by President Jonathan that the election will be free and fair. How can we have a credible election in an atmosphere of state-led gangsterism? How can we have a credible election when the FG that is supposed to protect the people and ensure violence-free polls is the same one that purveys violence? Where else in the world do secret police announce themselves by firing to scare away harmless citizens? When did masks become part
of the uniform of the State Security Service agents?”

APC called on local and international election observers to take note of the pre-election intimidation tactics of the PDP/Jonathan Administration, which are designed solely to scare people away from the polling booths and provide the necessary atmosphere for electoral malfeasance, which the PDP candidate believes is the only way he can
win on August 9.

The party said it would not accept the same hear-no-evil, see-no-evil disposition of President Jonathan, who on one hand will be assuring the international community of credible polls under his watch while at the same time looking the other way as his cabinet ministers, other appointees and the security agencies under his control break the law with impunity and become agents of terror.
