4  Forum / The Buzz Central / My man must always be s£xually charged — Colette Orji on: 10-08-2014 07:32 AM

Colette Orji, who celebrates her birthday today is known in some circles in Nollywood as the queen of epic movies because she seems to have the knack for bringing out the best in herself when it comes to epic movies.

ColetteShe once described herself as the typical African woman on account of her curvy, mannequin-like figure eight shape, but the Cameroonian groomed, fair-skinned Igbo woman needs to be seen to appreciate the kind of influence she could have on the menfolk.

Definitely not a woman who believes in the cliche that a woman should be seen and not heard, Colette is known for airing her opinions freely and oftentimes doesn’t care if they hurt anyone.

Currently holidaying somewhere in London, Colette poured out her heart through the social media when she was asked by Potpourri to state five qualities she cannot condone in her man. Hear her :

“I will never condone laziness. Some men are so lazy, this brings about all the many ill-health most relationships suffer. They want to watch movies, comedies , create daily jokes as well as keep watching the many jokes everywhere. Reading gossips online everyday and looking for who to chat . They don’t even understand why a woman needs to work. These are the men who have refused to be educated in life by life. They live by traditions and don’t believe anything is true because of their own set minds.

Then there’s the men who don’t know how to say ‘no’ to any pretty face in a skirt. We can’t even elaborate on these types because they are so disgusting. They are full of lies, deceits and they have no respect for their own body, they treat it with open ridicule and disdain.

And there’s the ungodly men. So ungodly and uncivilised that anything goes. Just anything, anyhow, any way. No laid down principles, no purpose, no vision, no sense. These types, hit their wives, kids, parents, women on the streets, fight to die/kill at any moment.
Then guys who don’t make any attempt to look clean enough. That’s not a good thing” she stated.

5  Forum / The Buzz Central / I once thought of reducing my boobs – Ebinabo Potts-Johnson on: 10-08-2014 07:25 AM

Maybe her chest isn’t as heavy as Cossy Orjiakor, or as monstrous as Foluke Daramola’s but upcoming actress and model, Ebinabo Potts-Johnson has a pair of mammary that stand out, far out from her chest to get you thinking you are seeing a trick of nature or something.
Ebinabo-Potts-JohnsonShe got her claim to fame after bagging the first runner-up prize at the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2007 and represented Nigeria at Miss Universe 2007 pageant in Mexico.
The Voluptuous Bayelsa State-born beauty queen isn’t like most girls who are crazy about flaunting their God-given gifts. She is particularly vexed by her big boobs, which according to her, prevent men from seeing other side of her.
“Although God put it there and really, at some point in my life I was actually thinking that I need to reduce this thing (her boobs) because most times when people see me, it’s just the boobs they’re seeing, they’re not seeing the other parts of me. It can be embarrassing that people can only see you as a sex object” she complained.
“Sometimes you just don’t know why a guy is coming after you. You don’t know whether it is because of your personality or your body. Though I don’t like to think a guy is coming for me because of my body but I get compliments a lot over my boobs. Sometimes. A guy just passes and says, ““Wow, your boobs are big” and I just give them a smile and walk off.

6  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / BREAKING NEWS!!! Ebola Virus Is Now In Canada on: 10-08-2014 07:14 AM

A Canadian who recently visited Nigeria is being held in isolation at Brampton Civic Hospital in Ontario for showing symptoms of the Ebola Virus Disease.

According to a Canadian public health official, the patient was reported to be showing initial symptoms of Ebola which were similar to more common diseases, such as malaria.

Dr. Eileen de Villa of Peel Public Health told The Globe and Mail that “infection prevention and control measures” had been put in place at the hospital because a patient “with a recent travel history to Nigeria” had shown symptoms similar to the Ebola fever and other flu-like symptoms.

Dr. de Villa said she received information from her colleagues at Brampton Civic Hospital and representatives from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

She added that the hospital would be working with public health laboratories to confirm a diagnosis.

“Any subsequent actions will of course depend on what the ultimate diagnosis is,” she said.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has advised Canadians to avoid all non-essential travel to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone due to the outbreak, but issued a statement, saying the risk of Ebola to Canada is very low.

It said travellers to Nigeria should practise special precautions such as avoiding direct contact with blood and other bodily fluids of people with Ebola virus or unknown illnesses, among other steps.

Similarly, according to a statement issued by Canada’s Minister of International Development, Christian Paradis, the country is offering additional support to help fight the growing EVD outbreak in West Africa.

Paradis said, “Canada is gravely concerned by the rapidly expanding Ebola outbreak in West Africa and the impact it is having on the families in the region as well as the health care workers on the ground assisting them.

“Our thoughts remain with all of those affected. Through both funding and personnel, Canada will continue to help get aid to those who need it as quickly as possible.”

8  Forum / The Buzz Central / HUN? Rivers State Indigenes asked Me to Run for Governor - Julius Agwu on: 10-08-2014 06:32 AM

Last week, the comedian and singer subtly announced that he will be contesting for the seat of the governor of the state by posting a campaign photo online.

Julius who joins stars like Desmond Elliot, Kate Henshaw and Dan D’Humourous who recently announced political ambitions, got quite a backlash. But he is unperturbed.

In an interview with Vanguard, he explains his reasons for going into politics and what he hopes to change if he wins.
On reports that he is running for governor: “Yes, I am working on that project too at the moment.”

On if he will call himself a politician: “I cannot really call myself a politician, but l am someone who prays and wish for things to get better than it is in this country. I believe I can help to achieve what my brother started in Rivers State. It is a known truth that Port Harcourt was the Garden City of this great country, but we lost that glory because of poverty and neglect, coupled with incessant militancy and kidnapping. Governor Amaechi has done well for the State, but we still need good hands after he leaves to continue the good work.”

On why he wants to be governor: “Becoming the governor of Rivers State was not something that came up overnight. It was not on my radar back then. The people of Rivers State in the Diaspora and those in the State have been clamouring for me to come out as an aspirant. They believe I have what it takes to go for it. It just dawned on me that I indeed have what it takes. I have given it a serious thought and have given in to their pressure.”

On if they’ll sponsor him: “Yes, they will. But I do not want to disclose their names for security reasons.”

On his political party: “Yes, we shall, eventually, but I do not want to unveil that now.”

On possibly running for presidency: “Yes, when the time comes it will be revealed.”
