A tanker containing Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as PMS exploded yesterday at Total depot Dockyard, Apapa Road in Lagos.

The fire incident, which started around 5:00am in the morning raged till 10:am before men of Oando and Total fire fighters as well as the Fire Service arrived the scene to put it out.

According to an eyewitness, the fire started around 5:00am in the morning when people suspected to be oil-bunkers were busy transferring PMS from kegs to the tanker.

“The incident began at about 5am, when illegal oil-bunkers were transferring PMS from kegs to the tanker. While transferring fuel from kegs to the tanker, one of the kegs was said to have fallen and caught fire, which engulfed the tanker. Fortunately, the other tanker close by was empty it would have been more serious. Immediately the fire started, the culprits all ran away,” the eye witness said.

The eyewitness also added that residents of the area had made several complaints in the past to the police on illegal activities of the bunkerers, but nothing was done until the explosion occurred.

An official of Total depot who refused to reveal his identity however, told Vanguard that:

“Well we have tried our best to put off the fire so it will not affect other property and total dockyard which of course would have caused a greater damage.

The fire razed several shops, as well as a part of a Church building around the area. However, there was no report of loss of life in the incident that started very early in the morning.

It’s when you are happy that you can be useful to your society and be productive.

Marital problems are not synonymous with you being a celebrity or not. I just felt it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
We should know that marriage is a divine institution and when we say we are married, no matter the challenges we should learn to cope and make the best use of everything we have. Marriage is not a bed of roses.

A 37-year-old graduate of Accountancy, University of Lagos, who sold recharge cards under the Meckwen Bridge, Victoria Island,Lagos State, has been chased to his death by men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

Babalola Felix fell into the Lagoon as he was running to avoid being arrested by the NSCDC officials. The incident happened last week Monday afternoon.This occured when the NSCDC men had invaded the area to rid it of hoodlums.Confusion had resulted as people in the area fled in different directions on sighting the security operatives. Babalola, who was also running, fell into the water after he slipped.

According to Punch,Eyewitnesses said efforts to rescue him were resisted by the NSCDC officials, who threatened to kill anyone who ventured near the scene.The victim was said to have drowned after one of the officials pointed a gun at him to prevent him from coming out.

A pastor (name withheld)  in one of the new generation churches in Asaba, Delta state, has reportedly married  two women in two different churches and impregnated a choir member of his church.

According to Leadership news, the pastor abandoned his first wife, a teacher whom he was married to for 10 years and their two children, disappearing to an unknown destination for several years.
Embittered by the pastor’s actions, the first wife reported to the general overseer of the church, where her husband worked.

She was said to have submitted various photographs of their wedding as evidence to her claim and the surprised general overseer told her he was not aware that the pastor in charge of the choir section wedded two women at different churches.

Some pastors who spoke to newsmen condemned the horrible act of the pastor and decreed that the wrath of God would be visited upon him in no distant time.

The general overseer of the Church, who identified himself as Joseph Omogha, announced to the congregation of over 3000 worshipers that the pastor heading the choir section had committed an abomination, accusing him of having s*x with female members of the church at random.

The general overseer said, “This self-acclaimed man of God who was introduced to me by a relation had impregnated a church member after marrying two women at two different churches.”

Pastor Omogha told newsmen that while he was making the announcement, certain members of the church allegedly attacked him and removed the microphone from his hand with a threat to kill him if he goes ahead with mentioning the atrocities of the pastor.

The GO also alleged that there were missing funds from the church’s unit account allegedly traced to him and he was issued query.

Men who were treated and discharged of Ebola Virus have been advised not to have sex for atleast 7 weeks.
Dr Bridget Okoeguale, Director, Department of Public Health, gave the advice during an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).She said
“There are many literatures that say that after men are infected, when the virus is not found in the blood, it tends to stay in the semen for about seven weeks to three months.
“What we did according to the WHO protocol is that we made sure that when the men are discharged they are given enough condoms, if they cannot abstain for that period.
“We advise them to abstain from sex but where they cannot abstain, they are provided condoms and after the (abstinence) period, we double test to make sure they are free’’,
'“ We are not advising people not to go to club or bar but if you have to just remember that you must keep your hands clean, avoid contact with as many people as possible.’
