The men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two ‘white witches’ and two other members of a fraud syndicate who allegedly duped a couple of N14.5m.

The ‘witches’ ─ Risikat Oriyomi, Sola Babalola; and the other suspects; Shehu Salam, and Wasiu Ajani ─ were arrested in Omusorin village, Obafemi/ Owode Local Government Area.

The fifth suspect, who was said to be the ring leader, Baba Awotola, was said to have fled on sighting the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Ajani, a native of Ilorin, Kwara State, who claimed to be an Islamic cleric, was said to have got the couple into the net of the syndicate.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, who led the police team to the fraudsters’ operational base on Tuesday, said Ajani lured the couple, who were rice merchants, into the syndicate’s net.

Ajani was said to have used the name of a late popular Islamic cleric to hoodwink the victims.
Ikemefuna explained that Ajani, on the fateful day, was dressed in Islamic cassock and hung nine different praying rosaries on his neck.

He was said to have approached the couple around Owode Onirin, Lagos State, and given them a revelation of a problem before them which needed to be warded off through special prayers.
He said,

“The suspect also told them to buy a measure of salt and give it as alms to three beggars.He later told the husband to buy a local egg, and used it to pray, circling it around his head three times.”
According to the commissioner, Ajani later used the egg as a bait to lure the couple to their den, where the gang began to swindle them.
The couple, who pleaded anonymity, said the syndicate, under the pretence of warding off the evil before them, collected N14.5m in three installments.

According to the couple, the syndicate used the two women, Risiqat and Sola as ‘white witches’ who claimed to offer prayers to ward off evil.

The witches, who claimed to have descended from heaven, were said to have demanded money to fly back to heaven.

Ajani said he got the information about the couple from Baba Awotola.

He said,
“Baba Awotola introduced me to this shady business. He was the one who gave the information about the couple. He promised me a car and a sum of N300,000, but he only gave me and Shehu N100,000 each.”
The ‘witches’ claimed they got N5,000 each per visitation

According to a reliable source, former President who is currently in Singapore has spoken to his injured son who is now in a stable condition at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja after an ambush attack by Boko Haram militants in Mubi Adamawa State.

An aide to Obasanjo who pleaded anonymity revealed that the former President has been informed about the incident and has spoken with his son.

I have been dating my Igbo guy for 11 months and he has been everything that I wanted in a guy. He communicates with me daily via text/call, we see each other at least 2-3 times a week depending on our work schedule. Last what I love the most is whatever he says he’s going to do he does it. If I need anything he’s there. He does not say I love you often, but he greets me with a kiss every time I see him and he does show affection so I am ok with that.

However my issue is in the 11 months I have known him I have not been to his house, or met any of his family. I know that he works and what he does, but I don’t know where it is located. His mother lives with him right now and he has shared with me that his mother wants him to marry and African woman because his brother married a Jamaican woman and since his parents were in Nigeria at that time they had no say on it.

But now since she lives in the states I assume she wants her opinion to be known. He has shared that he has been getting a lot of backlash from his family about dating an African American woman.

He’s told me that he’s wanted to invite me a couple of times and he would have his mom to cook, but he always changes his mind. His family has impacted at least 50% of his reasons for me not meeting them or visiting his home. I am seeking advice from other African men/women and African American women who have experienced this or know why they are like this.

P.S. He is a citizen now, he obtained his citizenship in 2007 on his own not through marriage. Majority of his family is in the US besides 1 brother and 1 sister. So I am sure he is not trying to scam me, because he has never asked me for a dime.

An evil man has bagged 2.8-year jail term for intentionally infecting his lover with HIV virus in the UK.

During a court hearing last week, the 45-year-old man identified as Alan Mason was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm to his 39-year-old girlfriend after he intentionally had unprotected sex with her when he knew he had the virus.

The unidentified woman only learned the truth when she visited her doctor because she wasn’t feeling well.

According to reports, Alan Mason had known of his status since 2009.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was subsequently jailed for 2 years and 8 months.

The judge at Carlisle crown court told Allan Mason, of Kendal, Cumbria, he had ruined the woman’s life and left her in “a perilous state”.

Tension took over the entire campus of Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife yesterday following the discovery of a suspected Ebola virus host.

A female student was admitted at the OAU Health Center over a suspected Ebola infection after she confessed that she had contact with the late Port Harcourt Doctor, Iyke Enemuo

The Health Commissioner, Dr Temitope Ilori said the female student had been put in the isolation ward.

Ilori said, “I was told that a student of the OAU who had contact with the doctor who died of the Ebola virus in Port Harcourt walked into the health centre when she was sick.

“She was said to have told doctors at the health centre that she had contact with the Port Harcourt doctor and was put under surveillance but she said she tested negative that time.

“Now she returned to the OAU to continue with her studies and was sick. She was said to have walked to the health centre and told them everything about her contact with the doctor.

“Her blood sample has been taken for another test in Lagos and we are awaiting the result. We pray she is not positive but she has been isolated at the health centre.”

The latest victim of the death threat scam is Miss Chiagozie Okolo of Metro FM. In the last two weeks, She has received several calls from her would-be assassins who ended up asking her to settle them.

Me: Hello Caller: we have been paid to eliminate you
Me: Hello, who is on the line?

Me: Do you know whom you are talking to? (at this point, I hung up) The call came again. And I picked once more. This time, he talked first his voice graver than before
Caller: Are you not Chichi Okolo? You work with Metro fm, you just recently got back from the states?
Me: Yes I am
Caller: We were paid to eliminate you. As we speak, we have your complete info. Your picture is before us.
Me: So what do you want me to do about that?
Caller: Don’t phyuk with us (there were background noises of people who sounded so gruffy)
Me: to borrow your language I’m not phyuking with you. I just asked a simple question, what do you want me to do about that?
Caller: Good. We conducted our own investigations. And found out you are innocent of all the accusations levelled against you. So we changed our mind
Me: You have done your research well, no doubts. But you have not answered my question. What should I do about it?
Caller: Are you ready to play the ball?
Me: What ball?
Caller: Don’t phyuk with us
Me: I’m not phyuking with you. Now since you’ve conducted your investigations and found that all you were told about me were lies, why not take your money and go?
Caller: You have to settle me and my boys
Me: Please in what way?
Caller: It might interest you to know that one of your colleagues paid us for this job. We can even divulge the person’s identity to you
Me: Please what kind of assassin are you that you want so much to betray the person who sent you to kill me?

Ttwo nuns Olga Raschietti, 83, and Lucia Pulici, 75 were stabbed to death on Sunday afternoon. The killer then battered one of the two with a rock, before fleeing the convent.
The third nun, Ms Boggia, aged 79 found the pair and raised the alarm.
But in the early hours of Monday morning, she was killed, her body beaten and head hacked off.
 Burundi's police said the motive of the killing was not clear, pointing out that no money was taken.Police spokesman Colonel Helmegilde Harimenshi said all three were molested.
Father Mario Pulcini, an Italian Catholic priest working in the same parish, said after the first two nuns were killed, Boggia had called him in the middle of the night reporting that she had heard a noise in the convent.
"The body of Sister Bernadette was found lying in a pool of blood, her head decapitated, and her face bore signs of beating," he told AFP in shock.The perpetrators had abused her, as they had violated the other two sisters earlier."
The suspected killer in the first attack was seen fleeing the convent with a knife in his hand and Police sources suggested the third nun was killed by an accomplice who had hidden in the convent.

Police spokesman Colonel Helmegilde Harimenshi said three men were being questioned.

A 25-year-old mother was locked in a bathroom for three years and banned from seeing her child because she gave birth to a girl.
The Indian woman found with overgrown nails and torn clothes could not open her eyes in the sunlight.And she wept inconsolably when her daughter did not recognise her.
According to the International Business Times,Chief officer Seema Kumari said:

 'The woman could barely open her eyes in the sunlight, as she had survived in darkness and dim light, closeted in the small space. 'The woman revealed that she was thrown into the bathroom and locked there.She was not allowed to see her child, and given leftover food irregularly. It was as if her in-laws were seeking revenge for not bringing ample dowry and for giving birth to a girl child.'
 Police officials said that the victim was married to Prabhat Kumar Singh in 2010 but soon after the wedding, she was allegedly repeatedly tortured by her husband and in-laws and told to bring in more dowry.When the dowry demands were unmet and she gave birth to a baby girl, she was locked up.

"She was never allowed to go meet her parents. When her relatives visited Darbhanga to meet her, they were dissuaded or shooed away.
"She was also barred from interacting with anybody from outside. She immediately asked for her three-year-old daughter and wept inconsolably when the child could not recognize her,"
The victim was eventually rescued by police after her father Shyam Sundar Singh filed a complaint at the Darbhanga police station.
