Nigerian model and actor Uti Nwachukwu and his singer girlfriend, Saeon have broke up.

The couple who met back in 2012 while shooting a music video reportedly called it quit two months ago.

Mike Tyson travelled to Toronto earlier in the week for a show scheduled for yesterday.

He used the opportunity to visit alleged drug addict, Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford where he encouraged and endorsed him for another term in office.

The Undisputed heavy weight champion showed his other side yesterday during a live interview on Toronto-based City Pulse 24 interview.

A Canadian reporter identified as Nathan Downer asked Mike Tyson if it was a good idea for him to meet the Mayor during an election year considering he was a convicted rapist.

Nathan’s question implied that Tyson’s meeting with the Mayor could damage his chances of being reelected as the Mayor of Toronto.

On hearing the rape conviction case, visibly upset but well composed Mike Tyson fired back at the host and called him a piece of s**t. He told him f**k you repeatedly live on air.

“You’re being negative.You’re really a piece of s–t. F–k you!” – Mike said

Nathan reminded Tyson that he was on live TV but Mike said “I don’t care. What are you going to do about it?”

The people who brought Mike Tyson to Toronto for the show blamed the host for touching the sensitive topic on Live TV in contrary to their agreement.

The host later took to Twitter to apologise for hurting Mike’s feeling by raising the rape conviction.

“No ill will toward Mike Tyson. He lashed out at me and that’s okay. Not taking it personally
I’m okay everybody. Unfortunately my question hurt Mike Tyson’s feelings. That was not my intentions. My apologizes for the language” – Nathan apologised on Twitter

“I got to know of him when my cousin sent me a link to his blog, (they were friends from church). It was his debut online series ‘Finding Hubby’. I fell in love with his writing moreso, it was a very relatable story, but since I’m not an avid reader, I stopped going to the blog when the story ended. Then in December finally, after that same cousin of mine had given me a thousand reasons to join Twitter, I found one more – I was going on there to get first hand info about my Ex. And then I found Tunde Leye, I’m like “oh the writer!”. So I started following him. “

One afternoon, late April 2013, he had tweeted about bad network, hence was in an awkward position in another room in his apartment.

I replied the tweet saying that I was also in the same position in my brother’s room for the same reason. So he responded asking if I was a cousin of Tinu George’s having seen my name, I answered in the affirmative and that was how we got talking.

He said immediately (as though he had been waiting for the opportunity) that he’d plan a meeting soon and within three weeks of chatting everyday, we met on May 12 at La Mango, GRA Ikeja.

Things I like about Our Meeting
1. I like that I found him when I wasn’t even looking, even when he and my cousin were friends, we never got introduced and things just played out on their own.
2. There was ‘no long thing’. On our first date, He told me straight up he wanted something really serious. And that was well understood because from our chats he had identified the difference between ‘dating’ and dating seriously.

The Proposal
It happened on the afternoon of Saturday March 15th, it was two weeks to my 30th birthday.

I was home relaxing although in the midst of workmen because my mum was remodelling the house, mostly for our introduction scheduled for Easter Monday, wedding plans were in the works so I knew a proposal was coming soon but I really thought he’d make it a birthday something.

That’s why when he showed up, I didn’t suspect anything. Naturally we just started chatting about the introduction party. I had mentioned that I hadn’t told my friends yet since he hadn’t proposed officially and in that instance, he got up and said I should come to my studio to give him the books (that I had borrowed from him for a shoot).

I was wondering ‘cos he had come many weekends after the shoot and I had told him to sort out his books but he didn’t listen. Well, I followed moments after and typically, I continued with what I was saying about not having told my friends since he didn’t respond and was seemingly engrossed with his books. Then he justed started laughing and I’m like “what’s funny?”, then he goes “you’ve not told your friends about our introduction and you still don’t have a ring on your finger…awwww”, raising my hand and really laughing.
I moved away from him forming sulking since he was making fun of me. Then he pulled me to himself and said “oya sorry lemme sing for you”. I’m like, “I don’t want to hear any song”, rolling my eyes in my mind- “wetin concern singing for this matter now?” He said he was serious as I sometimes ask him to sing, so I said ok. He held me close with my head on his shoulder and started singing Luther Vandross’ ‘Dance With My Father’ whilst stroking my hair and kissing my face, did the last verse in his own words “…I would love to be your husband as long as I live. Now I’m going on my knees…”
and it was in that moment I saw the opened box with the ring in front of me, it happened so fast I didn’t know where it came from. Then he went on one knee and slid it on my finger. I was too surprised to talk.

What I Like About Our Proposal
Even though I was expecting a more dramatic proposal knowing the kind of things he writes about, I ended up loving the way it turned out- more private and intimate.

I like that it happened in my house and in a room which holds many memories for me. Its the same room I had cried myself to sleep many times heart broken. It’s also where I launched off my dream of fashion designing, moving from a bedroom to a fashion workshop. I like that he honoured my late dad in his own way with the song. He asked if I knew why he chose that song and I nodded.
I like that I was truly surprised for the first time ever! Because I always figure things out somehow. Even though I knew the proposal was coming, he pulled it off when I least expected!

When it comes to relationships, you can’t be too careful. Don’t fight it and don’t generalise. Let God take care of you.
Comparison is the killer. Don’t compare your relationship with another. Be patient and understanding.
Pray together. Possibly, set aside a day when you fast together. It works!

Two years after her arrest, popular TV personality, Kemi Adetiba has settled the church she allegedly duped.

A letter dated February 7th, 2014 written by The God Bless Nigeria Church explained that they have reached an agreement with her.

Kemi defended herself few hours ago on Instagram with a copy of the letter.

“Two years ago I was delivered one of the biggest lessons of my life and career. I landed in Paris to an urgent message from a friend asking if I had seen the blogs. Without much information given, I logged on with trepidation to find huge headlines, “Kemi Adetiba arrested for fraud” some even saying I was at that moment locked up (Meanwhile I was in my hotel room in Paris, mind you). There were incredible stories about my father begging authorities for my release, me crying and promising I would pay back money I had ‘defrauded’, Yo being kicked out of the Dance reality show I was hosting at the time for this reason. Save a few lines I made via Twitter I never properly addressed this. I’ve been taught never to fight the fight on social media as everything you say just ends up being twisted and turned against you. I also promised myself I wouldn’t be the one to vindicate myself. Everyone would expect me to deny if course but I insisted that it would be others to vindicate me.

I am ecstatic to have come out of that situation not only alive but even better. If it was my career “they” were going for, it has only made it better. My career is on a greater high than it was. Going for my integrity as a person and in this industry failed woefully. God ALWAYS vindicates his own. I’ve had this letter for ages. I asked for it from the church I was purported to have duped not for public consumption, but proof to have if ever this came up in future business dealings. And I didn’t have to beg or repay any money “defrauded” for it. However, on the constant nudging of my parents I’ve agreed to release it. Because the Internet is riddled with the former headline, it is their thinking I need something in record as well to refute that.

Special note to media houses (some of them), understand that you are playing with people’s lives, businesses and even marriages sometimes. The pen might be mightier that the sword, but not in this case… I Won!! This is the first and the last I will address this.

Confusion At Muritala Mohammed International Airport In Ikeja Lagos Over Ebola

A woman from South Africa has been arrested by Officials of Lagos State Health Ministry in Lagos after she showed signs of EVD (Ebola Virus Disease).

The woman (identity withheld) told authorities she had worked with Ebola patients in Sierra Leone and Guinea.

The resident of Cape Town was on her way back to South Africa. She arrived on a flight from Morocco enroute to South Africa when she acknowledged that she has Ebola.

Health officials said she has diarrhea, high fever and has been vomiting non stop.

 “This person has been in Guinea and Sierra Leone since April, and she has symptoms.”

She is the second high profile Ebola case in Nigeria.

As at the time of this report, effort is being made to quarantine those who had contact with her.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made the pioneer chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, a laughing stock, Goveror Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State said on Wednesday.

He made the remark in Kano while receiving merit awards from two groups, APC Kwankwasiyya Amana, Bauchi state chapter; and Nigeria 774 Kwankwasiyya Merger: Kwankwaso for President.

“After he left the APC for the PDP, his new party did not find him worthy of its gubernatorial ticket. I am sure the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa are now laughing at him. We sympathize with him.”

The governor however called on the Adamawa electorate to think wisely and vote for the APC candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election, considering the hardships caused to the state by the PDP central government.

He appealed to them to pay back good for good by dumping the PDP and voting for the APC which is ready to bring about positive and realistic changes in the whole country.

“Anybody who voted for PDP, which within five years could not lead the nation rightly has deceived himself,” lamented the governor, pointing out that APC has come up with a credible candidate in person of Senator Muhammad Jibrila Bindaw who can salvage Adamawa state.

He alleged that the Adamawa state PDP chose a candidate whom most of their supporters see as incompetent, hoping that people in the state should opt for APC, describing it as the best party in Nigeria.

Earlier, the chairmen of the NGOs Murtala Abdullahi Dass and Habu Ibrahim Fagge appealed to Kwankwaso to enter the race for the presidency come 2015, assuring him they will mobilize Nigerians to support him.

Meanwhile, Governor Kwankwaso has thanked the state APC stakeholders’ effort in mobilizing people across the nation to support his presidential aspiration in the 2015 general election.

Meeting with them at the Kano Government House also on Wednesday, the governor said that most of the people he met at the APC Northwest rally in Sokoto told him that the message has reached them and they are in support of the aspiration.

He therefore urged the stakeholders to continue to enlighten Nigerians until the APC wins the 2015 general elections. He also reiterated that he’s still consulting on the 2015 presidential contest and will make his decision known to the general public very soon.

The Nigerian Union of Teachers has threatened to go on strike if the Federal Government fails to put in place measures to protect its members and pupils from contracting the deadly Ebola Virus Disease before the   resumption of schools.But the Federal Government says there is no going back on the date since there is no scientific basis for schools to remain shut beyond the September 22 resumption date announced by the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau.

“In any sane society, decision such as this will not be taken until the government and all stakeholders have met and discussed the issue at stake and are sure that the nation is scientifically and medical free from the scourge.But this is not the case in our country. When they arrived at the early October 13 date, they wrote us and we agreed with their argument but when this new date was given, they did not because of the influence of some powerful school owners who put pressure on them (Federal Government) to announce the September 22 date....
“Anyway, we have written to tell them that if the   Federal Government does not shift the date and provide all necessary safety measures in schools before Monday next week, all NUT leaders will meet in Abuja by 9am on Tuesday to decide our fate by ourselves. “Though I don’t want to preempt the outcome of the meeting but as teachers who have families and who should protect our future, I mean our students, we will shun the classes; we will call for strike.What kind of government is this, don’t they know that children can never be as hygienic as adults?
