Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: 45-Yrs-Old Man, Adetunji Tunde Jailed Over N2M Mistakenly Credited To His Account |

| The judgement is unfair, in as much as what he did was wrong, the bank should be held responsible for the mistake, and instead of jail term, they should have make him sign an agreement and aske him how he wishes to refund the whole money. This kind of a case happened to someone i knew & he refunded the whole money back at his own convenience period of time.
Hello, The judgment is more than fair. As a matter of fact, it is not enough. Why do we like to cover-up illegality? Some spent money mistakenly transferred to his account and you said sentencing him to prison is not right? How will you feel if you are the victim? Nigeria is the only place where people praise thieves. What they did to him will serve as a deterrent to others. Thanks!

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: "Over N2.2bn Spent On Prayers To Combat Boko Haram" – EFCC Reveals |
on: 11-11-2020 03:59 PM
| 2.2BN ON PRAYER??? NA THAT LIE GO KILL YOU.
Praying instead of purchasing sophisticated weapons to compact them? They are spending money on prayer instead of spending money on internal and external intelligence to fish out the Bokoharam informants and sponsors in government and military? I pity Nigeria for the level of ignorance in that country. Taking the little, you have to Saudi Arabia all in the name of fighting Bokoharam. Can't Nigerians understand that religion is different from reality? We have so many churches, mosques, shrines in Nigeria, and atheists societies that are better off in advancements and moralities. There are too many hypocrites in Nigeria, and its breakthrough will be difficult in Nigeria, except we change our ways of thinking. Only in Nigeria will you see the government sending people to haj and Jerusalem with about 1% of its revenue while people are dying of starvation and medical challenges because of the lack of qualitative and adequate medical facilities in Nigeria. Except Nigerians have a revolution of minds. It will be nearly impossible for Nigeria to progress. I rest my case.

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: 20 Pro-Biafra Supporters May Be Sentenced to Death in Rivers |

| I am a Yoruba man, but I don't think it is fair to sentence them to death because they were protesting for the release of their brother. After all, everyone has the right to show his grievance in as much as it is not violent. Killing these people will not do Nigeria any good, it can even lead to civil war. Anyway, I pray the peace of God will reign in Nigeria. | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Almost 40% Of Nigerians Are Mentally Ill & Lack Medical Care |

| I don't understand the relationship between being a power minister and a role of psychiatric researcher. I believe this only happen in Nigeria, because he does not have any credibility to present such a lecture due to the fact that Neuropsychiatry or mental health is not his area of specialization. Little wonder he is presenting statistical data that seems not to be true. | | |

Forum / Politics / Re: LMAO! Late Comers Kneel To Beg Gov. Fayose At Ekiti State Civil Service - Photos (Page 2) |
on: 1-09-2015 03:45 AM
| I do not comment too often in this forum, but I think there are some important issues that need to be addressed ASAP. Our mentality in Nigeria is that lateness is part of like, and we even believe there is an African time. Ask the people who are in America or Europe if they can it to be over 10 minutes late to work for three consecutive time if they will not be fired. Even, the annual salary earners cannot try it to go to work lately. Even in the medical profession, a resident doctor or a fellow cannot just go to work lately, but in Nigeria, we celebrate social deviance to the point that some are earning salary as a ghost workers and Buhari, Jonathan, and the past leaders would be blamed for all the shortcomings of Nigeria. I think what Fayose is doing here is an encouragement to those who understand the concept of good governance and leadership by example. If you want to be a civil servant, be ready to give it everything it takes. Lastly, one major problem of most Nigerians is that Nigerians tends to think of what they can get from the country, not what they can offer the country and we are expecting Nigeria to be like other nations where their citizens are oriented towards how they can serve their nations better. For instance, how many rich man in Nigeria has any been engaging in altruistic activities towards the poor in his state or local community? All we are hearing about some Nigerians is how they are rank among the World Richest Forbes. I understand my essay seem lengthy, but I think it is not too long to understand. You are free to critic my comment.
