Kehinde Oshadipe whose twin sister died at 6:30 am on Friday, October 3, 2014, on her way to hospital following complaints of pain in her chest, appeared again at their Abule Egba (Lagos) bungalow looking forlorn and distraught, Encomium reports.
 
Since Taiwo’s death, Kehinde was relocated to a family home with her younger brother (Idowu), while their aged parents and elder sister (Bukola) received sympathisers at their Abule Egba bungalow.

But in the afternoon of Monday, October 6, 2014, she surfaced with her manager (Olumide Akinsanya) around 3 ‘o clock, looking battered and beaten, with swollen eye lids.
Wearing an all-black gown and head gear, she hardly spent five minutes before she left again in her manager’s Toyota Camry,along with her elder sister.
When Encomium approached her, she begged for understanding. She simply said, “I’m not strong enough to talk for now”.
Meanwhile, her manager and elder sister informed us that the family is yet to finalise burial plans (and her corpse is still in Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos).
“We are still deliberating on where to bury her and yet to decide”, they chorused.

Nigeria has lost another $5.7 in secret arms deal to South Africa following a suspicion of money laundering.

Just when controversy is still raging over the $9.3million cash seized from 2 Nigerians and an Israeli in South Africa on 5 September, the authorities in the country have seized yet another $5.7million meant for an arms purchase between Nigeria and the country.

The seizure even antedated the $9.3million one that triggered questions about the involvement of a jet owned by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, president of Christian Association of Nigeria in arms trafficking.

The City Press, quoting its sister paper,Rapport, said the money was seized by The Asset Forfeiture Unit of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) though it bore the imprimatur of senior security officials from Nigeria.

According to the report from South Africa, Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, a lieutenant colonel, personally issued the end-user certificate for the arms the money was meant to buy.

An entire “shopping list” was supplied with the certificate, which included everything from helicopters to unmanned aircraft, rockets and ammunition.

Sources close to the investigation said the latest transaction was between Cerberus Risk Solutions, an arms broker in Cape Town, and Societe D’Equipments Internationaux, a Nigerian company in Abuja.

An impeccable source said this company paid the R60 million into Cerberus’ account at Standard Bank.

Cerberus was previously registered as a broker with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC), but the registration expired in May this year.

The marketing and contracting permits also expired at the same time.

The company has since applied for re-registration, but the application lay in the NCACC’s mailbox for more than two months.

Sources told Rapport that Cerberus apparently tried to pay the money back to the Nigerian company, after which the bank became suspicious.

The NPA’s Asset Forfeiture Unit subsequently obtained a court order in the South Gauteng High Court to seize the money.

Cerberus’ attorney, Martin Hood, this week declined to comment on the matter.

NPA spokesperson Nathi Mncube said there were no indications that the two transactions were related.

South Africa has insisted that the money was the proceed of illegal transactions and is now being investigated by the Special Investigating Unit of the department probing offences against the state.

At least 8 shoppers have died in an attack carried out by Boko Haram terrorists yesterday.

On Monday, the members of the Islamic sect fired a rocket from Banki town in Borno state to a popular shopping center, Amchide in Northern Cameroon.

“The rocket landed in Amchide, killing eight civilians and injuring many more. We fear that the number of dead will rise,” said the policeman, who asked not to be named.

This came after Amchide residents set up vigilante groups that have captured and killed several of the Islamists in Cameroon.

This latest attack has been described as retaliatory in nature.

A Cameroonian security agent said the death toll is likely to increase.

Kehinde Osuolale, one of the stars of Ibeji Oran acting duo died few weeks ago at his mansion in Owode area of Osogbo Osun state.

Kenny (pictured on the left below) and his twin brother, Taiwo recently acquired a land in Osogbo for their second mansion.

But before the acquisition, a farmer was reported to have planted some corns on the land.

As they were preparing to begin the mansion construction, the farmer approached them and told them that his corn is yet to reach harvesting season and that they should give him sometimes before they begin construction.

A close source to the twins hinted that the said farmer had been using the land for close to 50 years before the twins bought the land located at Apara town along Ilesha/Osogbo way.

One of the construction workers on the site said 21 days before the death of Kenny, the farmer confronted them again and ordered them to stop working on the farm because of his crops which he was yet to harvest.

He ordered the workers to leave the land that he will tell the twins when to start working on the land.

The bricklayer the twins hired reportedly ignored the farmer’s warning but the man spoke in parable that having gotten a land doesn’t mean one will build let alone sleep in the house “Keeyan ri owo ra ile, ko to keeyan jere ile ohun”.

We learnt Kehinde, the boss as he is fondly called got really upset by the farmers reaction and ordered all the construction crew to start working immediately on the land without taking into consideration the farmers plea. He died 3 weeks after.

His twin brother Taiwo said a day before his death, he told him he’s feeling really weak and the next morning, they found out he was dead.

Four-year-old Omonigho Abraham is currently battling for his life at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, after his scalp was eaten by two dogs.The dogs chewed the skin and exposed the victim’s skull during the attack which happened on Thursday on Adegboyega Street, Akesan Estate, in the Igando area of Lagos.

Punch learnt from eyewitnesses that the dogs dragged him through the compound for more than one hour while policemen and sympathisers watched helplessly at the entrance of the house for fear of being attacked by the savage dogs.

The immediate elder brother of the victim, seven-year-old Osemudiamen,  said,

 “We were riding a bicycle in the compound when the big dogs ─ Jack and Gadaffi ─ started barking at us. Later, they moved towards us.My elder brother and I quickly ran upstairs and locked the door while Omo (Omonigho), who could not run fast, was left behind.When he got to the door, he knocked that we should open for him and as we did, one of the dogs forced his way into the house with him.
“We all ran out. Bobby jumped down from upstairs and I also jumped. But Omo could not jump, so the dog attacked him.The other dog also joined in the attack and there was nothing we could do.”
It was learnt that the screams of the children who managed to get outside attracted passersby and residents who besieged the house.No fewer than seven policemen from the Igando Police Station reportedly stood at the gate, confused.An eyewitness, who lived on the street, but pleaded anonymity, said,
“The police came, but said there was nothing they could do. The dogs were growling as they ate the child alive and that sent fear into everyone. Nobody could move inside to challenge the dogs. Everybody was just shouting in confusion and wielding sticks.”

Jody George spent months taking donations and keeping friends up to speed on his preparation for the Challenge Weymouth Triathlon.Mr George set his alarm for 3am, giving him plenty of time to drive to Weymouth Bay, Dorset, for the start.The heartbroken athlete said..
'I set the alarm on my phone for 3am. It went off but I hit snooze, as I normally do.

27 year old Indonesian,  Mayang Prasetyo, believed to be a transgender , was killed, dismembered and “cooked” by her chef boyfriend Marcus Peter Volke, 28, in their Teneriffe unit.Residents reported hearing loud arguments coming from the apartment up to a week ago, and a foul smell since Thursday.

 His mother Dorothy Volke on Sunday said from her home in Victoria that she had spoken to her son a week ago and he seemed happy.
“He was happy and he was coming home for Christmas, everything was normal,’’ 
 She said her son had only recently returned to Australia from working internationally aboard boats.The couple had met on international cruise ships when they both worked as chefs.

“He’d been on a ship, going from one country to another,” Mrs Volke said. “They hadn’t been in Brisbane for very long, only a few months. They were starting to get settled. I don’t know what was going on — we hadn’t seen him for a year-and-a-half.”
 She said she was in shock about what had happened to her third child with husband Peter.
“It still doesn’t feel real,” she said. “He was one of these kids that would do anything for you, he had a feel for nature."
 
 Resident Teagan Downey, 22, described the smell as eye-watering.
“(On Saturday) about lunchtime, it got so bad in the foyer, it was so strong it would make your eyes water,” she said. “That’s when the on-site manager alerted police. It was a really distinct smell."
