''I knew Femi back in 2008 through a very close friend who was in America then and not through actress Liz Da Silva as is being speculated.

When we met via phone, we got talking for while and I asked him what he does for a living and if he had a family, he told me he had children but was separated from his wife .

 I asked him why he was separated and he said things didn't work out between them .we became friends and talked a lot on the phone and he always had time talking to me even very late American time.
Gradually we got very close and I even met with his mum and siblings who lived in Lagos then but I still had my doubts about him then cos we had not seen each other eye to eye before and some men cannot be trusted .

One day,I got a message on my Facebook from a lady called FOLAPE SOKOYA and she asked me "do you know anyone called FEMI ANIBABA" and I said yes "he is my friend" and she went on to say "please stop talking to him cos he is my husband and I'm carrying his third child  " . I was very shocked and embarrassed, even though I had my doubts, I didn't expect that kind of story.


I immediately printed out the message and went to his people to show them and I called him and explained everything to him but he told me things were not going on well with both of them and asked me if I didn't wonder how he had so much time talking to me and that even if I called him anytime of the day he always picked my calls.

He said they both lived in the same house but each person minded his or her own business,when he was done I warned him never to call me again.

 Later in May 2012 I was in America and I received a mail from him saying he heard I was around and he would like to see me that he had issues to discuss with me,I refused to see him and he went on to say he needed me more than anything because his wife had left him and taken the kids away too.I refused to see him and that was it.

When I got back to Nigeria he still called severally and then I decided to talk to him and he told me he would buy me a ticket to come to his house and see things for myself,later in September that same year I went to America and saw that she had truly left him and ever since we got talking again.

 I AM NOT ENGAGED TO FEMI ANIBABA NEITHER AM I PLANNING TO GET MARRIED TO HIM.AS YOU READ THIS NOW WE ARE JUST FRIENDS I DONT KNOW ABOUT TOMORROW.

Please help me beg this woman not to rub my good name that I built over the years in mud . I did not snatch Femi Anibaba from her neither did I separate both of them,she is doing all this because she heard the marriage rumour and thought it is true and jumped in to use this opportunity to spoil my name without any evidence.

This 26-year-old graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah,Muhammed Adamu (pictured above) was stabbed to death and his body dumped at Ijora Road, Apapa, Lagos.

Muhammed, who was awaiting his call-up letter for the National Youth Service Corps left home on Saturday to attend a friend’s wedding but didn’t return....only for his body to be found on Sunday Oct. 5.

The deceased father said his son had attended a wedding ceremony of one of the staff members of the company where he’s temporarily working while awaiting his Youth Service. He tells Punch:

“On Sunday, he received a text message that they should meet at a hotel in FESTAC Town for an after-party. He said the party was organised for just members of staff of the company. He left the house around 4pm and that was the last time I saw my son alive.”

 We went to Alaba Suru and searched, but we didn’t find him. So, we reported at the Layeni Police Station which was close to the place. They told me they saw his corpse on the road and they had taken him to the mortuary.

I want the police to make a thorough investigation into my son’s killing. I believe some people killed him and took his corpse to Suru Alaba to make it look like he was killed there. He was a gentle and hardworking son who had been preparing for his NYSC when these wicked people took him somewhere and killed him.”

A staff of the company, told Punch that the deceased had been persuaded not to leave the party on the night of the incident, but he refused.

“Even the bride, who works in the company and in whose honour the party was held, asked him if he was going to see a girl or a man, but he didn’t answer. He just said he had to leave the party because the call was urgent,” the source said.
 

Top movie producer, Emem Isong has confirmed she got married to her Camerounian heartthrob, Akama Misodi.  In a chat with Encomium, Emem said, “It’s true but I don’t know who let the information out to the public.”

Reluctant to reveal anything about the secret court wedding, the famous film maker pleaded that her privacy be respected, especially when her husband is a very private person.

 The funeral of Taiwo Oshadipe, scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) has been postponed till next week.
"This is to enable us plan better"  Olumide Akinsanya (the long time manager of the Oshadipe Twins) told reporters who participated in the candle light procession held in honour of the late singer today.
Taiwo Oshadipe, 30 (she was born in 1984), a single mother of a young boy (she delivered in July 2013), left behind her aged parents, elder sister (Bukola), twin (Kehinde) and younger brother (Idowu).

Yesterday, President Jonathan,hosted the victorious Team Nigeria Athletes and Officials at 2014 International Competitions yesterday in Abuja where he splashed over N300 million on them.

The athletes include  those who participated in  the African Youth Games in Gaborone, Botswana; the World Junior Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA, African Senior Athletics Championships in Marrakech, Morocco,the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotlan, and the 2014 FIFA Female U-20 Football World Cup in Montreal, Canada.

 Present at the Presidential Reception were, Senate President David Mark, Governor Uduaghan of Delta, Governor Obiano of Anambra State and Sports Minister ...
President Jonathan also  received a Plaque from Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Blessing Okagbare.

 A Man has been arrested by the Nigerian police over the murder of a middle-aged woman, identified as Silifat Yakubu.She was allegedly killed by her husband, Ismail Yakubu, at Igbele, near Araromi Ale Olorunda Local Council Development Area, along Badagry Expressway in Lagos.

It was gathered that the mutilated body of the deceased was found in a small river located at the community’s entrance, where she was supposedly dumped after she was murdered.
Vanguard gathered that,  some of the victim’s body parts, such as her eyes, Bosom s and uterus, were allegedly missing when her corpse was found by passersby, suggesting that she must have been murdered for ritual purposes.

Ambimbola Sule, a commercial motorcyclist in the area, said:
 “Residents in the community woke up on Saturday morning to find the lifeless body of a woman inside the river that leads into Igbele.Initially, people could not identify the person because her face had several cuts. She was wearing a lace gown, with no underwears.”
It was gathered that Yakubu was seen at the scene of the incident several times as residents tried to identify the corpse on Saturday.
According to reports, the deceased’s husband, who was arrested on Sunday, confessed to killing his wife on Friday night because a prophet told him she was using his star.He purportedly dumped the corpse in the river at night, after his attempts to take her far away failed because his bus developed fault. A neighbour, Iya Korede, who lives near the victim’s shop, noted that Silifat was jovial, hardworking and troubled no one.
 “Most of the people in the area do not know her husband because he goes early to work and comes back late. But his wife is a very hard working woman. She built the house they live in.“As if that was not enough, she bought a commercial bus for him. What else does he want? If he was tired of the marriage, he should have driven her away instead of killing her.“The world is truly a wicked place. How can a man kill his own wife? The same woman who bore him three male children, for goodness sake? It is only God that will save us.”

 The world's largest lip disc has been discovered by an Australian film crew, led by cinematographer Abrahem Joffe, in the remote valleys of southern Ethiopia.
The crew was shooting a documentary when they stumbled on 20 year old Ataye Eligidagne, who left them shocked .Joffe told Daily Mail Australia
‘We were taking a tour with some of the local guides. When they spotted the woman, they were absolutely bewildered.I’m a big reader of Guinness World Records and I figured it was out of the ordinary, but you know you've found something special when the locals are amazed.’
Ethopia had tired to place a ban on the culture but some still practice it.The process involves the removal of her two bottom teeth and she said it wasn't painful or have any side effects.

The previous record disc in the Guinness Book of World Records was 15cm in diameter but ,Ataye Eligidagne, is a whopping 59.5 cm in circumference and 19.5 cm in diameter.This is twice teh size of the record holder


The disc's are intended to attract a husband as well as a dowry for the family of the wife, who provide a contingent  of cattle respective to the size of the disc.

A female member of a congregation, Kemi Abbas, on Wednesday appeared in an Oshodi Magistrates’ Court in Lagos charged with allegedly stealing her pastor’s  N52,000. Abbas, 26, who resides in Ilupeju, Lagos, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecutor, Mr Kehinde Olatunde, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Sept.30 at St. Christopher Spiritual Church, C&S Ilupeju, Lagos. He said that the accused stole N52,000 belonging to her pastor, one Kolawole Oye. Continue below...
“The pastor was attending to some members of his congregation during a counselling session when his phone rang.

“He could not hear the caller because of the noise of the generator set, so, went outside to receive the call.”

Olatunde said that when the complainant came back to his seat, he discovered that an envelope left on his table that contained N52,000 had disappeared.

“He quickly raised an alarm and threatened those he left in the office with death if the money was not immediately returned and confession made,’’ the prosecutor said.

Olatunde said that the accused fell on the ground and confessed that she saw the envelope but only took N5,000 and did not know who took the rest along with the envelope.

The offence, the prosecutor said, contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Section 285 stipulates three years imprisonment for anyone liable to theft.


The Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola, granted the accused bail in the sum of N25, 000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until Oct. 30 for mention.
