The General Overseer of Revival Assembly Church, Apostle  Anselm Madubuko in a new chat with Yes Magazine publisher says, it’s true that a lot of pastors practise occultism in the church using God to cover up their acts.

"It is painful for me to see what so many pastors are doing. So many of them are practising occultism in the church. They do all this for the love of money, power, for fame and they have compromised their faith. They are acting films on the pulpit, forging miracles and faking testimonies and unfortunately, people are falling victims".

"They have their support from their relatives; they connive with these people to hear what they shouldn’t hear. They give different contracts forgetting that we have also seen successful witches and wizards in Nigeria. They talk about Jonathan’s success, claiming they are responsible for it. These people may know your problems, but they don’t have the solutions, because they are not from God.

They use and take advantage of your problems to siphon you and that is the most painful aspect. But for all the true servants of God who are genuinely called by God, I pray that God would keep them and give them the power to establish more churches, because we don’t have enough churches yet. We are over 150 million people. So, we need more churches to cater for the souls that are perishing".
 

 
Fast rising music act, Saeon is not happy at the moment with wizkid. Saeon who paid wizkid the sum of N1.5m to feature on her Boogie Down song and also appear on the music video is angry with wizkid, because he has refused to acknowledge the video online. An angry Saeon took to her instagram page where she expressed her feelings and said; ‘Folks be like I never charge artistes for features, but I’m 1.5m short and I couldn’t even get a retweet, anyway it’s turn by turn’.

When NETng contacted her and asked who she was referring to, Saeon declined to comment but said, ‘It’s sad but I’ll rather not talk about it’.

Sources from Saeon’s camp however let the cat out of the bag by saying; ‘Wizkid has not been responding well to her, he doesn’t even pick her calls and she’s really angry about it despite all the money he was paid for the song.’

Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi has put an end to an aggressive weight loss, diet program that helped her lose over 50% of her body weight sometimes in August 2013.

According to Nollywood sources, Ngozi recently called herself back to order when she started experiencing chronic Anorexia (a lack or loss of appetite for food ).

She is now back to normal, maintaining a healthy eating habit.

She was recently spotted on the set of Chika Ike’s reality TV show, African Diva.

A hero who died while fighting to defend his country in the North has been peacefully laid to rest.

23-year-old Obinna Izuala, a native of Ndiagbo community in Enugu State was killed on the 9th of September by the dreaded Boko Haram jihadists but all efforts to retrieve his corpse proved abortive.

Recently his family members travelled around mortuaries in Borno where his corpse was identified.

He was taken back home over the weekend for a befitting burial.

Diamond Bank Sponsors VVF Surgeries, Donates Equipment to Fistula Centres
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to promote the total health
and wellbeing of women in Nigeria, Diamond Bank PLC, a leading retail bank in Nigeria, will be sponsoring medical surgeries for 15 young Nigerian women suffering from Vesico honeypot Fistula (VVF).

The project, which is in partnership with Extended Hands Charity, a non-governmental organisation, has also concluded arrangements to donate medical equipment to selected fistula centres across the country.

VVFs are holes resulting from the breakdown of the tissue between the honeypotl wall and the bladder or rectum caused by unrelieved obstructed labour. The consequences of such damage are urinary or faecal incontinence and related conditions in women.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the condition is the single most dramatic aftermath of neglected childbirth.

A 2008 research by NDHS shows that Nigeria has the highest prevalence of VVF in the world with approximately 400,000–800,000 women living with the condition and about 20,000 new cases occurring annually. Ninety percent of the cases go untreated.

Mrs. Ayona Trimnell, Head, Corporate Communications, Diamond Bank PLC, said that the Bank places high premium on women’s health and its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is strategically focused on reaching as many women as possible who may require help.

According to her, “VVF is an avoidable medical condition and the initiative to reduce its spread is borne out of Diamond’s Bank’s commitment to reduce the maternal mortality rate in the country.

The initiative will sensitise women on how to internalise good health habits as well as make better informed choices regarding their health and those of their partners. It will also provide basic healthcare services to women in rural areas and empower them economically in the areas of agriculture and trading. This unique approach will ensure that the affected women are able to make better choices concerning their wellbeing and also have the economic power to improve their living standards.”

Why would a mum or a guardian do this to such a young child?
 

A woman (name withheld), aged 43, has narrated what she endured in the hands of a Boko Haram abductor before she was freed from her kidnappers, Leadership newspaper reports.

The woman had gone to a bank in Maiduguri, Borno state, when she recognized a 26-year old man in the queue and raised the alarm, screaming, “He is the one, he is the one! God will punish you, you will rot in hell!”
Her outburst got everyone startled, but their bewilderment was rested when the woman said she recognized him as a Boko Haram member who had abducted her and several others, adding that the man in question had “used” her like a dog, molesting her over ten times.
Soldiers were immediately called to the scene, following which the man reportedly confessed to being a member of the Islamist sect. He confirmed the woman’s account that he, along with other sect members had abducted several women, old and young, whom they molested on numerous occasions at the forest hide-out.
Those who witnessed her outburst praised the woman for her bravery. Her case was used to unravel several others, as relatives and neighbours of other similar rape cases began to open up, although they all refused to call names.
Equally narrating her ordeal, one woman from Cross River State (identity withheld) said she had moved to Maiduguri in search of work when she was abducted by members of the dreaded sect but managed to escape to near Bama.
The lady, who was lying on a hospital bed, recounted how she was molested by over seven men everyday for more than two months. She said she was abducted alongside about thirty women and girls, adding that leaders of the sect usually took the virgins and young ones for themselves, leaving the older or married ones for the sect’s fighters.
The victims went on to disclose that the sect members would kill most of the women who failed to satisfy their segxwal urge, adding that the remaining ones who do not comply died as a result of the torture they received.

A 38-year old UK burglar was identified after he had sex and left semen in a teddy bear he found at the shop he came to steal from.
According to DailyMail, the owner of the shop had arrived to find her shop broken into and contents scattered around outside it. Among the wreckage she found the teddy bear. The teddy bear was then passed to police, who recovered DNA from inside it that matched 38-year-old Paul Mountain.

Explaining his action, Paul said he couldn't resist the stuffed toy after breaking into the store. Mountain told police: 'He was coming down off amphetamine and felt an overwhelming need for segxwal relief". He pleaded guilty to burglary and was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report
 

 
Former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, has debunked the claim by Dubai police that his son committed suicide.

Tragedy had struck his household on Sunday, when one of his sons, Oyamiefa, was murdered in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he was a student.

According to Leadership, the late Oyamiefa, 30, who was reportedly killed in the house belonging to his father in the Arab country, was the only person living in the luxury apartment. He was murdered by unknown gunmen who stormed his apartment on Sunday night.

Oyemifa’s body had been found in a street by the police who searched him and found his identity
card. Using the identification card, the police were said to have traced his home only to discover that he came from “a big family”. It was gathered that shortly after ascertaining the background of the deceased, the policemen left but later came back to tell his family members in Dubai that Oyemifa had committed suicide. The policemen reportedly based their claims on an autopsy they said was conducted on the body.

However, Alameiseigha, who was said to have taken the incident heavily, was said to have rejected the policemen’s claims. When contacted through a text message by a Leadership correspondent, the aggrieved former governor said:
“He was killed in Dubai.”
Alameiseigha had left for Dubai immediately alongside his first son, Tonbra, to determine the circumstances that led to the death of his son. His wife was said to have cried inconsolably.

The Texan nurse diagnosed with Ebola after being infected by Thomas Duncan has received a blood transfusion from survivor Dr Kent Brantly.
It is the third time Dr Brantly has donated blood to Ebola victims after medics discovered he had the same blood type as previous patient Dr Nick Sacra and NBC cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, who is still being treated. Incredibly, according to DailyMail, nurse Nina Pham, 26, has also matched with Brantly and today received a transfusion of his blood in a move that doctors believe could save her life.

Pham has been in quarantine since Friday after catching the disease from 'patient zero' Thomas Eric Duncan - the man who brought the deadly virus to America. Today, Pham's condition was described as 'clinically stable'. Those who have survived Ebola have antibodies in their blood which can help new sufferers beat the disease. Dr. Brantly had offered his blood to Thomas Eric Duncan but their blood types didn't match.

Heavily armed policemen yesterday frustrated moves by the BringBackOurGirls group to march to the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Hours later, Doyin Okupe took to Twitter to obviously mock them.


The group had planned to “engage” with President Goodluck Jonathan, on the efforts of the security agencies to rescue the 219 Chibok schoolgirls, who have been  in Boko Haram captivity since April 14. But they were stopped from accessing the Villa gate.

Instead, their activism was restricted to Yakubu Gowon Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja, where they were
addressed by an all-female government delegation led by the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Zainab Maina. According to Punch, even motorists and pedestrians, who wanted to use the Gowon Crescent access road to the Villa, were turned back by stern-looking security personnel, who barricaded the road with their vehicles.

Maina, while addressing the group, had said the Federal Government was doing everything possible to ensure the safe release of the schoolgirls. She said:
“We are here to meet you because Mr. President is very busy today and he cannot come out. Government is trying all it could to make sure that these girls are brought back. They are our daughters. We are all mothers; as much as it hurts you, it hurts us even the fathers. You know as well as we do some of you are very much aware of the efforts that the government has been making to make sure that these girls, our daughters, are brought back alive.”
The BBOG Coordinator and former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwezili, accused the ministers of colluding with the Police to prevent the protesters from meeting with Jonathan. She said:
 “You have joined the Police who have prevented us from meeting our President and Commander- in- Chief; the Commissioner of Police did indicate we should wait and then we will be able to proceed to have the meeting. We had written the President as part of our global call to action concerning the rescue of the Chibok girls that we would be visiting him exactly on the day that marks six months of the Chibok girls abduction.”

Former Bayelsa Governor’s 2nd Son Took His Own Life In Dubai

More information has emerged concerning the sudden death of Oyamuyefa, one of the sons of ex-Bayelsa Governor, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.

Oyamuyefa aka Oyoms, a graduate of Wollongong University allegedly took his own life in the early hours of Saturday, the 11th of October.

His dead body was found on the staircase of his father’s mansion in Dubai of apparent self-inflicted wounds.

Due to the nature of his death, an autopsy is currently being conducted on him to ascertain the exact cause of his death but suicide has been suspected.

President Goodluck Jonathan served as Alami’s deputy in 2005 before he was impeached over embezzlement of the state fund in December of the same year.

The disgraced politician and his 1st son are currently in Dubai to unravel the mystery behind Oyamuyefa’s death.

The governor reportedly used the money he looted from oil-rich Bayelsa state to build several mansions in the United Kingdom, USA, Germany and Dubai.
