ARGENTINIAN President Cristina Fernandez has been admitted to a hospital in Buenos Aires with an infectious fever, officials say.

SHE was hospitalised at the Otamendi Clinic late on Sunday for monitoring and treatment of the infection, according to the presidential medical unit.
The statement, signed by doctors Marcelo Ballesteros and Ricardo Solla, read that Fernandez, 61, "developed an infectious fever on Sunday afternoon due to which it was decided to admit her to the Otamendi Clinic for tests and treatment". Two weeks ago the president had to rest for two days on account of laryngitis. In July, Fernandez called off a trip to Paraguay due to acute pharyngolaryngitis, a throat infection which also prevented her from attending the World Cup football final between Argentina and Germany in Rio de Janeiro. A year ago, the president underwent surgery for a cranial hematoma that kept her from her official duties for a month. In 2012, the president's thyroid gland was removed following a cancer diagnosis that turned out to be in error.
2  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Rapper Hacks Ex's Twitter, Calls Her "A Gold Digger" on: 3-11-2014 05:10 PM
Tyga says he has nothing to do with Kylie Jenner, 17, but he also doesn't want his ex baby mama Blac Chyna, 26, to have anything to do with any other man – not even Drake - despite their split. So did did he hack into his ex's Twitter to call her a “gold digger”?

According to reports, the former Cash Money rapper hacked into Chyna's social media Sunday Nov. 2 and pretended to be her sending bunch of angry tweets just because she tagged Drake, 28, on Instagram.

“I’m a gold digger and a cheater. I never really loved Tyga. It was always about the money,” read one tweet, which has since been deleted, with the spelling errors corrected by HollywoodLife.com.

Three more tweets were posted, in which presumably Tyga, 24, wrote that he helped her overcome her alcohol addiction and open “multiple” businesses. Not to mention the tweet that states Tyga gave Blac Chyna a “beautiful” family.

Did this all start because Blac Chyna tagged Drake in an Instagram photo? Unfortunately, the photo seems to have been deleted now.

If Blac Chyna really did tag Drake in a photo, then she probably knew what she was doing was going to piss off her ex.

Just a few days earlier on Oct. 27, Tyga released a new track called “Make It Work” in which he disses an old friend without naming him.

The lyrics go as follows: “N***a never was my homie, all these b***hes know you’re corny.”

Ouch. Calling Drake corny is a pretty low blow in the hip hop world!

Do you guys think Tyga hacked Chyna's social media?
3  Forum / The Buzz Central / Is Rapper Begging Nicki Minaj For Sex? on: 3-11-2014 05:05 PM
Drake and Nicki Minaj get naughty on stage

Looks like Drake wants everything to do with his record label mate Nicki Minaj and he is using Instagram to tell her so!

Drake is surely using social media to send a sexy message to his lady friend Nicki, 31 and speculations are that the Canadian native wants his newly-single label mate as his official girlfriend!

In a fan-made cartoon that Drake posted on Instagram, Saturday, Nicki is singing into a microphone while giving him a sex lap dance and a little bubble of Drake's head says, “How about now?”

He captioned, "@nickiminaj now?" a.k.a 'Nicki could you get a little freaky with me now that you are single again?'.

Meanwhile, Nicki’s new song, “Only” revealed that she and former flame Drake have never hooked up, but the rapper seems to be sending a message to her that it’s time for them to really get down.

The songstress has yet to respond, but for all we know she decided to take matters into her own hands by responding in private. Hmm!

Do you think Drake and Nicki should hook up?

5 Reasons You Have Not Landed The Man Of Your Dreams

It is every lady’s dream that wants to get married to settle down with a man that adores, cherishes her, respects her and her wishes, makes her feel like the luckiest woman in the world; in short, to meet the man that will make every woman green with envy, a man of her dreams but as women want the fairy-tale kind of relationship, some settle for lesser than they deserve and they end up tying the knot with their worst nightmare. The experience of other married relatives, friends, siblings and neighbors have scarred some people and has made them give up totally on finding any guy who will really make them happy. The belief of many is that good men are extinct and only Luciferish kind of men exist in this present time which is totally wrong. There are good men out there who would love you unconditionally and give you the best you deserve but these are some of the reasons you have not or will not get him:

#YOUR BELIEF ABOUT MEN IN GENERAL: as pointed out earlier, many believe that good men existed only in the days of their forefathers. They see every man that meets them as devil’s siblings. No matter how good a man is to them, they always have the notion “all men are dogs” in their mind. It should then not be surprising, when these set of women attract nothing but pigs and dogs to themselves.

#YOUR LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT RELATIONSHIP IS ALL ABOUT:
just as the belief of good men gone and buried, many have different beliefs about what relationship is all about. Most ladies today do not know what being in a relationship entails and then get it all wrong. If you believe that dating a boy is to make money, please the people around you or just to fulfill what you think is a societal obligation, then you may never meet a man of your dreams; any man would do just fine as long as he suits the purpose you need him for.

#YOUR LACK OF COMMITMENT: many women want the best but how many are willing to commit themselves to a relationship? No relationship can work with a resistance from you to fully commit yourself to a relationship, so you have to work to make it happen. Sacrifices are inevitable in relationships. There is nobody calling the shots or making the rules, the both of you have to work together to make it the relationship of your dreams. A woman who keeps saying “this is the way I am and will always be” will only end up chasing the good men away from herself.

#YOUR LACK OF CHARACTER: many want the Cinderella kind of love but have zero character to make it work. Keeping a good man is not about spending hours at the salon or in front of a mirror; although taking good care of yourself matters a lot too in keeping a man but you need to have a very good character to make him stay. Your personality is a key determinant if you will land a man that will make you happy for the rest of your life. Don’t just be beautiful outside, be enchanting inside too.

#YOUR STANDARDS ARE TOO LOW OR TOO HIGH: do you want a man that drives a 10million Naira car with a house in 1004 estate with great body, handsome face irrespective of what he does for living or how he treats you? Or do you settle for everybody that comes your way including the tout shouting “wole pelu change e” at the bus stop? Or once a man shows the slightest inkling that he likes you, you are quick to bombard him with your needs or throw your legs open? Your standards are a reflector of your inner person; most times. Learn to build your dating checklist around things that are realistic and will sustain your relationship when things are rough and love seems to have flown out of the window.

Finding the man of your dreams requires always adding positive more to yourself. It is not just about the fact that you are fine, sexy, religious, learned, intelligent, rich, from a good home, a respectable background but about understanding the true meaning of what companionship and commitment is all about; one cannot work without the other. Great relationships are built on foundation that can uphold the couple when things are shaky and feels like it is crumbling. When you understand that, you will land the man of your dreams in no time.
5  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Son who Beheaded Mum in Long Island, New York on: 31-10-2014 04:45 PM
THE FIRST pictured has emerged of a New York man who beheaded his mother and kicked her head along the street before throwing himself in front of a train.

Derek Ward, 35, allegedly hacked off the head of his mother, Patricia Ward, 66, with a knife in the apartment he shared with her in Long Island.

Ward, who was unemployed and had a long history of mental illness, reportedly dragged her decapitated body out onto the street on Tuesday this week. Because the remains lay near a home decorated with pumpkins, fake cobwebs and a mock graveyard, witnesses initially thought it was a Halloween prank.

NEW YORK BEHEADING: Why would a son decapitate his own mother?

Ms Ward’s brother, Reverend Robert Lubrano, told the New York Daily News that his sister died because she had been unable to obtain medication in time to treat her son’s mental illness.

“He killed my sister because we couldn’t get the prescriptions he needed. For four days, he didn’t have his meds,” Rev Lubrano said, adding that Ms Ward had scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist for Friday, three days after she died.
Ward was seen kicking his mother’s head about 6m down the street.

“I literally thought it was a prank,” one witness told WCBS 880. “We saw the body on one side and saw the head on the other side. I thought everything was a prank.”

Ms Ward was a languages professor at Farmingdale State College for nearly three decades, and a spokesman for the institution described her as “well-known, well-liked and well-respected”.

She was believed to have suffered multiple stab wounds and broken ribs before she died.

About 25 minutes after the murder, Ward jumped in front of an eastbound train on the Long Island Rail Road line.
6  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Rappers Think They're The Next Jay Z, Beyonce on: 31-10-2014 04:34 PM
There's no doubt that Drake and Nicki Minaj look so adorable next to each other and have an insane chemistry together but according to a close source, the rapper thinks they'd be a great hip-hop and R&B power couple if they hook up like Jay Z and Beyonce!

A source tells HollywoodLife, "Drake really thinks that he and Nicki would work well as a couple and they would rival, and even surpass Jay Z and Beyonce as the new hip-hop and R&B power couple. It’s all up to Nicki, though, because he’s fully invested in making it happen."

Separately, they’re super successful, but if they were dating, Drake thinks they could be an unstoppable force.

Eventhough there is a big possibility this could work out, Drake, 28, and Nicki, 31, would certainly have big shoes to fill given that Jay Z and Beyonce have built a massive empire since they first came together in 2003.

Despite Nicki claiming she's never slept with Drake in their song "Only", the Canadian-born rapper reportedly has strong feelings for her but she was in a relationship – which she's currently out of!

"Drake has been interested in Nicki Minaj forever and they have hooked up in the past, regardless of what they want to share in songs or anything like that. Drake is having fun being a bachelor and hooking up with random chicks but Nicki would stop that immediately."

What do you think Pulse.ng fans? Can Drake and Nicki really become the next Jeay Z and Beyonce if they hook up?
7  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Nurse Who Had Ebola Has Been Released From Hospital And She's ‘so Grateful' on: 28-10-2014 08:10 PM
A TEXAS nurse who was the second US healthcare worker infected with Ebola while caring for a Liberian patient left the hospital overnight after being declared cured of the virus.

“I’m so grateful to be well and first and foremost I want to thank God,” Amber Vinson, 29, said at a press conference at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wearing a grey suit and pink blouse, Ms Vinson appeared healthy and smiled often, occasionally wiping away tears as the medical team at Emory University Healthcare surrounded her and her doctor spoke about her care.

She also thanked her family and the medical teams in Texas and Georgia, and asked for people to continue to work to eradicate the Ebola outbreak abroad.
“While this is a day for celebration and gratitude, I ask that we not lose focus on the thousands of families that continue to labour under the burden of this disease in West Africa.” Her colleague Nina Pham, 26, who also worked in the intensive care unit of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was treated for Ebola at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and was released on Friday.

Both became infected while caring for a Liberian man, Thomas Eric Duncan, who was diagnosed with Ebola in Texas after flying to the United States from his native Liberia, the country hardest hit by West Africa’s Ebola epidemic. He died on October 8.

Ebola has killed more than 4900 people and infected more than 10,000 since the beginning of the year, according to the World Health Organisation.

Vinson’s story sparked alarm across the United States after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said she flew on a domestic aeroplane from Texas to Ohio and back, and reported a low-grade fever before boarding the flight home.

The CDC cleared her for travel at the time — about a day before she was diagnosed with Ebola — but said later she should not have been travelling on a commercial airliner.

Vinson’s family hired a high profile Washington lawyer, Billy Martin, after issuing a statement earlier this month saying they were “troubled by some of the negative public comments and media coverage that mischaracterize Amber and her actions.” “In no way was Amber careless prior to or after her exposure to Mr. Thomas Eric Duncan. She has not and would not knowingly expose herself or anyone else,” it said.

The release of Vinson leaves just one patient in US hospital care for Ebola, doctor Craig Spencer, at Bellevue Hospital in New York.

She is the fourth person to have been successfully treated for Ebola at Emory University Hospital, after missionaries Kent and Nancy Writebol and another unnamed American doctor who was sickened in Sierra Leone.
Bruce Ribner, medical director of the serious communicable diseases unit at Emory University Hospital, said the hospital was pleased with Vinson’s quick recovery — she was admitted there two weeks ago — but said it was unclear exactly why she healed so fast.

Ribner said her young age might have helped, as well as the fact that she was wearing protective gear when she treated Duncan, though it remains unknown how she was infected.

“It is quite likely that the amount of virus that she was exposed to was substantially less than what we see in patients who get infected in less developed countries,” he said

Another nurse who was held for days against her will in a medical tent in New Jersey after volunteering in West Africa was in an “undisclosed location” in Maine, objecting to both states’ Ebola quarantine rules as overly restrictive.

While world leaders appeal for more doctors and nurses on the front lines of the Ebola epidemic, health care workers in the United States are finding themselves on the defensive.

Lawyers now represent both Amber Vinson, who contracted the virus while caring for a Liberian visitor to Texas, and Kaci Hickox, who is challenging the mandatory quarantines some states have imposed on anyone who has come into contact with Ebola victims.

Earlier, Nate said he was “grateful to be alive” in a tweet which has since been deleted.

“We know that the shooter had arranged to meet with friends at the lunch table,” he said. “It’s our understanding he did so by texting.”
Trenary also confirmed that the .40-calibre handgun used in the shooting had been legally purchased by one of Jaylen’s relatives. It remains unclear how Jaylen obtained the weapon.

Meanwhile, Nate’s grandfather has revealed his grandson survived the shooting by playing dead.

Donald Hatch told MailOnline his grandson was “walking and talking” after being shot. The bullet shattered the teen’s jaw and hit his shoulder.
