41  Forum / The Buzz Central / Unlike Billionaire Son, DJ Olu's Burial; Davido Refuses To Attend Tagbo's Burial on: 21-10-2017 08:47AM

Granted Tagbo Umeike and pop singer, Davido, were very close friends when he (Tagbo) was alive, and even spent his last moments on earth with the singer, the pop artiste allegedly, could not attend the burial ceremony of the young man on Friday.

Tagbo, who allegedly died of alcohol, was buried in his home town in Anambra State and Saturday Beats reliably gathered that the singer was absent.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the brother of the deceased, Chigbo said that although his brother’s life was cut short unexpectedly, his burial went according to plans.

He said,

Quote
“My brother was buried on Friday and it is so sad that we have lost someone with a big heart. However, Davido was not present at the burial neither did he send a representative but at this point, we have no comment on that.”

Chigbo seized the opportunity to clear the air on his mother’s health. Contrary to reports that his mother has stroke, the young man said that his mother was not afflicted with the ailment while also describing his late brother as someone who turned friends to brothers.

Quote
“I would also like to use this medium to correct the notion that my mother has stroke because she doesn’t. We saw the report online but it is not true.  The burial ceremony went well. I would miss my brother a lot because he had a big heart.
He was not only my brother but a lot of people’s brother as well. Through my late brother, I have made a lot of friends turned brother and despite his death, I hope to still keep these wonderful people as my brothers. My sister in the UK came down for the burial. For now, we just finished burying my brother and we would want the dust to settle,”

 Chigbo said.
It also looks like Davido,  the self acclaimed Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) has moved one as based on the pop star’s Instagram post where he was seen striking a pose with the crown prince of Edo State.
Saturday Beats gathered that the singer had a show in the state.

47  Forum / Family / Scientists Have Now Proven That Divorce Is Genetic, Not Psychological on: 12-10-2017 06:24PM

Children of divorced parents are more likely to get divorced when compared to those who grew up in two-parent households.

According to a study by researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University and Lund University in Sweden, this is caused by genetics and not psychological factors.
The researchers analysed Swedish population registries and found that people who were adopted resembled their biological but not adoptive parents and siblings in their histories of divorce.
“We were trying to answer the basic question: Why does divorce run in families?” Across a series of designs using Swedish national registry data, we found consistent evidence that genetic factors primarily explained the intergenerational transmission of divorce,” said Jessica Salvatore, an assistant professor at VCU.

Quote
“By recognising the role that genetics plays in the intergenerational transmission of divorce, therapists may be able to better identify more appropriate targets when helping distressed couples.
“Focusing on increasing commitment or strengthening interpersonal skills may not be a particularly good use of time for a therapist working with a distressed couple.
“At present, the bulk of evidence on why divorce runs in families points to the idea that growing up with divorced parents weakens your commitment to and the interpersonal skills needed for marriage.
“However, these previous studies haven’t adequately controlled for or examined something else in addition to the environment that divorcing parents transmit to their children: genes.
“For example, other research shows that people who are highly neurotic tend to perceive their partners as behaving more negatively than they objectively are [as rated by independent observers].
“So, addressing these underlying, personality-driven cognitive distortions through cognitive-behavioral approaches may be a better strategy than trying to foster commitment.”

The study will be published in the journal Psychological Science.

Some beneficiaries of a scholarship scheme put in place by the Nigerian government through the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, on Thursday protested at the Nigeria House in London over non-payment of allowances.

The protesters, who are running doctorate programmes at different universities in the UK, said they have been abandoned by the Nigerian government.

Premium Times reported how the 2014/2015 beneficiaries of the scholarship – for Masters and PhD programmes – had lamented the NDDC’s insensitivity to their plight abroad.

“Our protest is against the criminal neglect and abandonment by the current management of the NDDC led by Messrs. Ndoma-Egba and Nsima Ekere,” one of the protesters told Premium Times over the phone on Thursday.

“While we do not intend to embarrass the country, this avenue remains our only option to draw the attention of well meaning Nigerians to our plight as we have been pushed to the wall with the unfair treatment of NDDC as most of us have been suspended from our studies and are facing deportation.”
50  Forum / The Buzz Central / A Real Woman Is Beyond Big Bum And bosom - Lizzy Anjorin Defines Feminine Values on: 12-10-2017 06:14PM

Lizzy Anjorin has dropped an inspiring piece on the worth and definition of a woman.

The Nigerian actress whose piece aims at schooling women on knowing their values, also stated that having a pu__y, big bosom  and big bum isn’t what really makes up a lady.

She wrote:

Quote
Treat me like a queen that I’m and I’ll treat you like a king. But if you treat me like a game, I’ll show you how it’s played. I treat every man like a king and every woman like a Queen, trying to shove my face in the mold will only bring out the demon in me, be warned and be guided!!‎
Some women may decided to table themselves as a slave, that’s not my concern though… As a real woman, you have to table what you have Mentally, spiritually and physically because what we need as a woman is beyond Pu__y, big bum and big bosom , all you need is your senses and your pride. You do not need to fight for front row or rub shoulders with men, when you are eloquent and smart, they will reserve your chair/place in front row. When you are not active people will say please don’t worry about her but when you are eloquent they will say please keep her share because she’s a monster..
You must be a good reader and smart observant as woman; when you are in a middle of a conversation, don’t be looking down and be nodding your head like a lizard, you need to talk sense and be clever.. Smartness and being clever, makes women get attracted to men easily than physique..
Every man deserves a Queen that can defend him in his absentia and every child deserves a good mother that will protect the family’s name.. Only a good woman can build a nation, though the bad ones will be there trying to pull it down behold, the name of the good woman will be written bold on the tomb and the name of the ones trying to bring it down will be nowhere to be found.

“We were very close. I remember I would report Olu to my mother and she would say a tree doesn’t fall from a tree. I saw him for the last time last week Sunday when we had lunch; Olu was always wanting to please me. He was supposed to go back to Coventry last week for his postgraduate school but he begged me to allow him to stay for just one week because he wanted to commission his petrol station and car wash business.

I begged him to go to school promising him that I would help do everything while he was away but he refused. If he had gone back to school, he wouldn’t have died. I pray that I don’t have to reciprocate this kind of visit to anyone present here.”

A Kaduna State teacher identified on Facebook as Calipha Ibrahim Abdullahi, has given reasons to why teachers in the state failed the primary four test, given to them by the state government.

His reaction follows the recent news that 20,000 teachers in the state failed a competency test conducted by the government. However, the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai threatened to sack the affected teachers and replace them with better-qualified ones.

Abdullahi’s post no doubt justifies the state government’s decision. This is because of his poor grammar that clearly betrayed his low qualification.

56  Forum / Sports / I Now Focus On Scoring Goals Than Showing My Skills On The Pitch - Award Winning Christiano Ronaldo on: 6-10-2017 06:57PM

Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has revealed why he no longer show much of his skills on the pitch, but rather focuses more on scoring goals.

The forward said that at a certain point in his career, he decided to focus less on showing off his skills because goals are needed to win games and not skills.

The Portugal captain scored 118 in 291 appearances for Manchester United between 2003 and 2009, but drew criticism early on for often attempting fancy step-overs.

But since moving to the Spain capital, Ronaldo has upped his rate considerably and is on 411 goals in 401 outings for the club, while in recent times the winger has often played as a centre-forward.

Ronaldo told YouTube freestyler Soufiane Touzani, that goals had to come ahead of entertaining supporters.

“In a game the most important thing is to win. And goals helps to win. You can mix — first goals, and after tricks and assists after. What the people want is goals, so I try to score goals.”

Ronaldo added that he still found time to bring out some skills, but it could not be his first priority.

“I still do it, not the same as at Manchester, but I still do it,” he said. “Now I prefer goals, I’m focused more on goals. Skills come third.”

58  Forum / Relationships & Romance / DOCTOR WARNS: Stop Squeezing Your Wife's Bosoms Like Oranges, Only Children Should Suck It - See Why on: 4-10-2017 06:25PM

The president of Bosom  Care International Dr. Beatrice Wiafe -Addai has urged men to handle the Bosom  of women with care as it is a very fragile part of a woman’s anatomy.

Dr. Wiafe-Addai told Ghanaian Starr Fm morning show host ,Francis Abban that contrary to claims that the sucking of Bosom  by men reduces the risk of getting Bosom  cancer in women, those claims are untrue.

“It is not true that the more you suck a woman’s Bosom  it prevents the risk of getting Bosom  cancer. What is true is that women who have children should Bosom feed, and Bosom feeding has some positive effect on the woman as far as Bosom  cancer is concerned. But not adult men to go and suck the Bosom  thinking it will protect the woman from Bosom  cancer, that is not true, it is very fragile so let’s handle it with care…don’t squeeze it like you have some mango or orange that you are squeezing to get some fluid out,” Dr. Wiafe-Addai counselled.
