Nigerian Beauty Queen, Ex-Miss UNILAG Winner Kessiana Salubi Killed By Ghost Lover, She Died In Sleep After He Proposed To Her

Last week the shocking death story of ex-beauty queen Kessiana Salubi went viral on the net.

Her immediate family members said she passed away in her sleep on Friday the 4th of November after returning from an outing.

Investigation have now revealed that hours before her death, she went on a date with a suspected ghost (Akudaya), a resurrected dead person living in a place far from his/her people.

They said months before her death, she reportedly met the man at one of the new generation banks in Lagos and one thing led to the other, they started seeing each other.

The guy was suppose to come and meet her family one week before her death but sadly she passed on.

They found the guy’s contact number and address from her notebook but on getting there, the family of the guy she went on a date with told them he had passed on.

The unidentified guy reportedly died in a car accident in Ilorin back in 2005 and shockingly, he resurfaced in Lagos again.

All the calls put to his cellular number were never picked.

He recently proposed to her.

Very sad!

May her soul rest in peace (amen).

Homicide detectives attached to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCIS), Panti, Yaba, Lagos State have started quizzing a Muslim cleric who allegedly murdered a woman at the Ijaiye, Agbado area of the state.

The suspect, Isiaka Akanbi, 55, however denied killing the deceased, Raliatu Kareem, 62, of House 15, Ope-Ewe Street, Ijaye Agbado, Lagos.
According to the suspect, the woman came to his place and died there.
Worried that he might be accused of killing the woman, Akanbi collected Kareem’s property; handset, bangles, ring and buried them in the soil behind his house.
The case however became complicated after police went to Marine Bridge, where Akanbi said he abandoned the woman’s corpse, but could not find it.
According to the police, Akanbi, who has his healing centre at Lawani Street, Olodi Apapa area of Lagos, like the deceased is indigene of Ilorin, Kwara State.  Akanbi and Kareem have known each other for over 28 years.

A police source said: “On October, 25, Kareem went to her elder sister’s place, Risikatu Raheem. Risikatu’s daughter had just put to bed, at the Olodi Apapa area. Kareem stayed till 6pm at her sister’s place on Salubi Street, Olodi Apapa before she left. She said she was heading to the native doctor’s place. She was murdered that same evening. Akanbi also buried her personal effects in the backyard, so that the alleged incident would not be traced to him.”
Two days after Kareem had not returned home as she promised, the family became worried and went in search of her.
When her kids could not find her at her sister’s place, they went to check at the alfa’s workshop, where they got to find out the truth.
The case was reported at the Tolu Police Station and during interrogation, Akanbi denied killing the woman, stressing that she slumped and died in his place.
Akanbi added that when he realised the woman was dead, he buried her personal effects to erase any trace of her in his house and took the corpse to Marine Bridge, there he abandoned there.
The deceased’s kids believed that Akanbi dumped their mother’s corpse inside the lagoon, since they could not find the corpse where Akanbi said he abandoned it.

9  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / I thought the bag was filled with foodstuff-Suspected drug trafficker on: 17-11-2014 07:06 AM

News reaching HappyNigeria is that A suspected drug trafficker, who was arrested for being in possession of a bag containing dried weeds which tested positive to cannabis concealed in foodstuff, said he did not know the bag contained illegal stuff.

The suspect, Friday Ufot Tom, 31, a technician was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) during the outward screening of passengers on an Etihad flight to Dubai. The cannabis weighed 665 grammes.

Tom, who services and installs electrical appliances, told investigators that he was given the drug by a man who assisted him with his travel documents.

His words: “I am a technician by profession. I suffered financial hardship and could not settle my bills. After so many fruitless struggles to make ends meet, I decided to travel to Dubai in search of employment. The man who assisted me with my travel documents gave me a bag at the airport. He told me that his friend will collect the bag from me in Dubai. According to his plan, the man will accommodate me and also help me to secure a good job. He told me the bag contain garri, stock fish, beans, dried bitter-leaf vegetables and dried fish. However, while trying to check-in the bag, NDLEA officers discovered the cannabis. I am not happy because my condition has gone from bad to worse.”

NDLEA Commander at the Lagos Airport, Hamza Umar said: “Officers at the departure hall found two parcels of dried weeds which tested positive for cannabis inside the luggage of the suspect, a passenger travelling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The drug weighed 665 grammes and the incident is currently under investigation.”

The Chairman of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade in his response, alerted members of the public to the plan by drug barons to lure victims into drug trafficking under the guise of providing job opportunities abroad.

He said: “Drug barons hide under the guise of providing job opportunities abroad to make them drug couriers. The Agency has taken steps to apprehend more drug traffickers and prosecute them. Security checks at all entry and exit points have equally been fortified and anyone who dares to smuggle drugs will only end up in prison custody.”

The suspect will soon be charged to court.

10  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Two injured as thugs storm PVC registration centre on: 17-11-2014 07:03 AM

HappyNigeria gathered that Two people were injured and several vehicles vandalised at the venue of the on-going permanent voters’ card (PVC) registration exercise, at the Balogun area of Lagos Island on Saturday.

Eye witness account claimed that the hoodlums, numbering about 15, allegedly stormed one of the venues of the exercise with dangerous weapons and chased the people away from registering.

The hoodlums, who stormed the centre some minutes to 2pm, were said to have told the Independent Electoral Commission to (INEC) officials to register them as they could not wait under the sun.

An INEC official had tried to reason with them, but they kept insisting that they wanted to be registered even before those they met on ground.

A resident, Kamal Lawal said he was yet to be registered when the fight broke out.

He said: “I and some other residents had waited at the registration centre for long without been attended to. When it was almost my turn, the hoodlums came from nowhere and disrupted the whole exercise.”

Lawal added that (INEC) should provide security for their agents, “because of peculiar places like Lagos Island where fight can easily broke out at the slightest provocation.”

Another witness, Mr. Ayinde Jibril said: “I and my wife were not spare as two of the suspected hoodlums attacked us when we were trying to escape from the venue of the registration. When the hoodlums stormed the venue, they were chasing people away with dangerous weapons and charm. How I wish you were there to see their unruly behaviour.

“I and my wife only went to the centre to register for the new voters’ cards, only for me to sustain this injury on my neck and my face while trying to escape. We’re tired of this callous attitude of these hoodlums! Governor Babatunde Fashola and the State Commissioner of Police should come to our rescue.”

Mrs. Bashirat Jubril   said: “I was running for safety, one of the hoodlums ran after me and hit me a plank, unmindful of the fact that my baby was strapped at my back.”

11  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Fake LASTMA officials demand bribe, escort victim to ATM on: 17-11-2014 06:57 AM

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended two men, Funsho Williams and Adekogbe Olabode, for allegedly impersonating officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.

HappyNigeria learnt that the suspects last Wednesday accosted a 62-year-old retiree, Mr. Felix Adesanya, and demanded N60, 000 from him for allegedly contravening a traffic law.
The man, who retired from the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, said he was on his way to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital when he was accosted by the suspects.
He said on getting to Akilo Road in the Ogba area of the state, the suspects, wearing reflective jackets, stopped his Toyota Camry and snatched N30, 000 from him after ransacking his car.
Not done, the suspects allegedly demanded an extra N30, 000 so that he would not forfeit his vehicle as stipulated in the traffic law.
He said, “They said I had committed a traffic offence and forcefully entered the vehicle, introduced themselves as LASTMA officials. They later demanded my wallet, ransacked it and took N30,000 with a threat to take me to their office if I did not cooperate and summed up the money to N60,000.
“In order to meet up with my appointment, I went on my knees begging for mercy, but they said I should take them to the nearest ATM or face the risk of forfeiting my vehicle and paying a N120,000 fine.
“Left between the deep-blue sea and the devil, I followed them obediently. At the ATM, they demanded to know my account balance, but I did not allow them see it, I withdrew N5, 000 and gave it to them, making it N35, 000 in all.”
The victim said while in the vehicle, the suspects continued to pester him and when they alighted and flagged down a commercial motorcycle, he raised the alarm.
He told HappyNigeria.com that one of the suspects clung to a moving commercial bus in a bid to escape when a team of LASTMA officials in a patrol van intercepted them.
Giving an account of the incident, a LASTMA official, Jonathan Arewa, said around 8.15am, he and his team were able to apprehend the suspects.
He said, “A young man in a white shirt was chased by an angry mob, who caught and handed him over to us. The crowd accused him of robbing a man of N35, 000 in collaboration with another man who was at large as of that time.
“It took the concerted efforts of the police and the LASTMA team to stop the mob from lynching them. The suspects were taken to Area F Command for further investigation.”
Reacting to the incident, the LASTMA boss, Mr. Babatunde Edu, condemned the act and maintained that the impostors were not employees of the agency.
He explained that the agency would continue to embark on an aggressive public enlightenment campaign to educate Lagosians on how to identify a genuine LASTMA official and not “fall prey to impostors who are out to enrich themselves under the pretence of working for the state.”
Edu explained that LASTMA officials were to be in uniform at all times with visible name tags. He added that no officer must cover his or her name tag with beret, pen or other items, and motorists had the right to ask for an official’s identity “as anything short of this is illegal and must be reported to the authority

12  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Pandemonium as cultists hack man to death on: 17-11-2014 06:49 AM

There was pandemonium in a community market on Johnson Street, Somolu, Lagos State, on Wednesday as some suspected cultists shot and hacked to death a 22-year-old resident, identified only as Ahmed, aka Bobo.
HappyNigeria gathered that the killers were suspected members of the Aiye Confraternity.
A trader, Tawakalitu Omosebi, told our correspondent on Friday during a visit to the market that Ahmed was trailed to the area by a three-man gang.
She said, “It was around 8.30pm on Wednesday when those men stormed the market. They have been coming here for some time. On that day, they met him at a lotto kiosk. He was trying to check the result and he was alone.
“When he realised that he had been surrounded, he tried to escape, but they trapped him. They first shot him in the chest before they started hacking him with cutlass. They later left, fearing that his friends might show up.”
Omosebi told our correspondent that the gang also attacked some of the traders and dispossessed customers of phones and money when they were leaving.
She said some minutes after the cultists left, Ahmed’s friends came and took him to a private hospital in the area.
“When they took him to the private hospital, the management of the hospital asked them to produce a police report, but since they were also cultists, they were afraid and that was how he died. It took about 30 mintues before he finally gave up,” she added.
Findings by PUNCH Metro showed there had been a series of cult clashes between some Eiye gang members on Johnson Street and their rivals in Aiye confraternity from Kusa Street, a neighbouring community.
A source in the area told our correspondent that Ahmed was killed as a reprisal for an earlier attack he allegedly led.
He said, “A few days earlier, Ahmed led an attack on Kusa Street and attacked a rival cult member. He thought the man was dead, but the man’s friends rushed him to the hospital and he survived. Those people now mobilised and killed him on Wednesday.”
Investigations further revealed that Ahmed was shot by a teenage gangster, identified only as Ibrahim, aka Elede.
A resident, Kola Oyedapo, explained to HappyNigeria.com that Elede had been responsible for some deaths in the area in recent times.
When our correspondent approached the owner of the lotto kiosk where Ahmed was reportedly killed, he declined comment, saying he was not around at the time of the incident.
A resident, who was scanning through a printed paper, queried our correspondent on his interest in reporting the incident.
“Why do you want to report it? You should just leave the matter to rest,” he said.
Meanwhile, some traders in the market have lamented the spate of cult attacks in the street, pleading with the government to intervene.
A vegetable seller, Ibukun Matthew, said, “We have been living in fear here. Some parents are even too scared to send their children to the market because of the rate at which these cultists strike. Anything can happen at any time.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident, adding that the corpse of the deceased had been deposited in the mortuary.
He said, “At about 8.30pm, two cult groups engaged one another in a rivalry clash at Johnson Street, Pedro, and in the process, a yet-to-be-identified male, suspected to be a member of one of the groups lost his life. Corpse has been deposited at the Gbagada General Hospital Morgue for autopsy
